Elle James has a remarkable ability to pack so much in so few pages. This hot, suspenseful and insightful story is about Air Force Lieutenant nurse Erin McGee and Navy SEAL chief Caesar Sanchez. Caesar has the hots for Erin and she keeps blowing him off. She thinks there is no way for them to be together and has three very good reasons why: 1) she is an officer and he is enlisted; 2) she is just getting over an ass of a pilot who cheated on her; and 3) as a SEAL, he is sure to be a repeat of the ass pilot. Caesar takes her reasons and blows them to kingdom come with kindness, understanding, hot kisses and the best sex ever. Erin is still resistant even after a mission that went sideways puts them in danger in a place they should have been safe.

But convincing a wary Erin that he’s not the “girl in every city” type is not going to be easy because Erin has been badly burnt by love and isn’t keen to revisit old wounds.
Ceasar is nothing if not determined, and in the midst of war and the heat of lust, he will do anything to win Erin’s heart and secure their future.
I love the men of SEAL Team 10 and can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next.

This was a really good read. Strong characters, suspense, some action, emotions, steaminess, and a good ending. This was a page-turner and definitely kept me interested. I liked the friends in this book too an would like to read more with them. Great for anytime and something that could be read in a sitting on a lazy-day. Totally Enjoy!

An action packed, suspenseful and dramatic officer and an enlisted man forbidden relationship containing a fair amount of graphic violence. Just when Navy SEAL Special Warfare Operator Caesar"Nacho" Sanchez finally breaks through Critical Care Air Transport Team nurse, Army Lt. Erin McGee's barriers, an injury while liberating German soldiers and a terrorist attack at a German military hospital to liberate leader Taliban Hassan Turbani threaten to end the fledgling romance.
An excellent story with a heartwarming ending this novella contains too much graphic violence for me.

When SEAL Team 10 is sanctioned by the Secretary of Defense to locate and eliminate the leftist guerilla group of pirates working off the coast of Honduras, Navy SEAL Team 10 corpsman Jack "Fish" Fischer finds himself undercover as a deckhand/security guard on a nonprofit floating medical boat run by the grieving widow Dr. Natalie Rhoades.

Steamy and action packed with a glimpse into the Arabic culture this story of intrigue contains some violence but the violence seems less harsh then in prior novels.
Sting Ray, Irish and Ben “Big Bird” Sjodin travel to London to join with ex-Interpol now CIA undercover operative Yasmin Evans in this complex attraction at first sight romance with a mission to locate and destroy biological weapons in Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz's Saudi Arabian palace.

Another Rushed Story
Elle James' stories suffer from being too short. While there's nothing wrong with a short story, in this instance, she rushes things and we don't get any character development, nor do we get a properly developed relationship between the hero and heroine. Their coupling is forced on the reader and we're told they have feelings for each other instead of witnessing it evolve organically. How exactly did Nacho "fall" for Erin when he'd spent all of five minutes with her several times while she tended to his cut finger? He doggedly pursued her based off of nothing, really. Yet we're to believe he feels enough for her in those few short interactions, in which he learns absolutely nothing about her, that he knows she's his future? Really? Aside from chemistry and pure lust, what has these two risking their careers to pursue a relationship? These stories could benefit from a minimum of another hundred pages so that we can be shown their developing feelings instead of being told the characters have them. The first rule of writing is to show, not tell, and Ms. James violates it in almost every book! It makes for a less than satisfying read. Perhaps that's also why her sex scenes lack any real passion and fail to get my heart racing because I haven't seen the characters interact in the right ways to properly build sufficient tension so that when they do inevitably fall into bed together, they're burning up the sheets.
That aside, this book could've benefited from a better editor than the one Miss James had. The most egregious error was her saying Erin feared being, and I quote, "court marshaled". No joke, that's actually what she wrote! Sorry to tell you, Miss James, but it's spelled court martialed!! How embarrassing! Then she had words capitalized that shouldn't have been, like smack dab in the middle of a sentence she capitalized the word kill! That's not a proper noun! There were several instances of missing punctuation, and even several sentences that were missing words! Tsk, tsk! Better hire a better editor because mistakes like these are amatuer hour!

Navy Seal Ceasar Sanchez is bound and determined to get Army Lt. Erin McGee in his arms and his live permanently but she has hangups about rules. She doesn't want to get caught having sex with an enlisted man because she is an officer.
Sanchez or Nacho as his teammates call him is injured while on a mission and Lt. McGee flies with him to Germany along with a higher up in the Taliban. They save him because he has vital information that can be used to free U.S. military soldiers held hostage. While in Germany her continues his campaign to win over Lt. McGee but Erin while attracted to him has a past and she doesn't trust easily.
The hospital is taken over in an attempt to free the prisoner and Erin becomes a hostage. One navy SEAL to the rescue.
This was another fun, fast, action packed read. I was hoping for a bit more of the story though.

Theatre of war throws Caesar and Erin together.
An alpha male scorcher from beginning to end. Caesar is a navy seal who pursues a nurse after a chance meeting on base. He is critically injured on a mission and needs to go to Germany for a further operation. She accompanies him and the action heats up.
Good read and do recommend it to you. You won’t want to put I’d down when you start. It’s ensnares your mind and imagination. Happy reading.

Short and sweet. Injury, hostage taking, officer and enlisted love. Caesar was a seal hurt in deployment. Lt McKee was a flight nurse. He had it bad for her but she resisted because he was enlisted.
When the ICU IS overtaken over by Taliban trying to get their leader, Erin becomes a hostage and Caesar comes to her aid. There could have been more story. Do they make it . What about his team, future

Persistent SEAL
Caesar and Erin's story went by fast. I really enjoyed it. Though I have to confess, I was not keen with Erin in the beginning. She needed to get her head dislodged from where she had it. It sounds like her a while. Caesar was perfect as the hero in this story.

Fast paced action packed read with some steamy moments. The action scenes are detailed and heart pounding, unsure of what will happen next. The romance between Caesar is Eric is quick. he's very determined SEAL and Erin is attracted to him, but doesn't want to get burned again. Enjoyable read.

The books in this series are shorter and move quickly. I enjoyed this book as an audiobook. Gregory Salinas narrated this time and is one of my favorite male narrators.

I really enjoyed this story. It was fun to read and had great characters. Erin and Cesar have some roadblocks in the way for them. Cesar is ready to just avoid the roadblocks but Erin is not. She sees the difference in their rank as a problem because it is against the rules, even though they are from different branches of the military. She has also been hurt by a man in the military and so is not ready to get into another relationship with one. Cesar is ready to work past it all. He noticed Erin and observed her for some time and really likes her. He keeps coming up with situations so that he can see her. They finally have a moment and then Cesar gets sent on a mission and comes back seriously injured.
I liked the play between relationship and action. There was a really good mix of it that keeps you completely involved in both. I really like that aspect of it. Cesar's mission and injury is not the only action in the book, but I'll let you find out what that is yourself. This is a quick read that will keep you entertained and is a great way to spend some time. The sex is hot and well written, just like everything else about this book. I greatly enjoyed it. I can't wait to see some more of the characters in the rest of the series and hope that we continue to catch glimpses of relationships and how they progress in future ones. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone without any problems. You won't feel like you are left out or missing anything.

Navy SEAL, Caesar Sanchez, is trying everything to get Army Lt. Erin McGee's attention and affection. However, military romances are frowned upon and Erin plays by the rules, even when good looking and sweet talking Caesar is the one trying to convince her to break them. When a rescue mission goes bad and he ends up being medically evacuated, she’s there taking care of him. But, like any good military romance, he will have to take care of her as well.
As with all of Elle James' books, SEAL's Embrace has a great plot, wonderfully developed characters, and the right amount of suspense and steamy love scenes. I love Caesar's playfulness and Erin's toughness. This story fits perfectly within this fantastic series. If you love SEAL's Embrace, you will equally love SEAL's Desire and SEAL's Honor - stories about two of Caesar's teammates. I read each story in a day because I just had to know what happened. My only complaint about each of these stories - I wish they were longer, simply because I am selfish and want to know more about them and what happens a year from now, five years from now, etc.!!! Luckily for us fans, there are many more teammates in Caesar's SEAL team which, hopefully, means more books in this series in the future.
As with all of Elle James' books, SEAL's Embrace has a great plot, wonderfully developed characters, and the right amount of suspense and steamy love scenes. I love Caesar's playfulness and Erin's toughness. This story fits perfectly within this fantastic series. If you love SEAL's Embrace, you will equally love SEAL's Desire and SEAL's Honor - stories about two of Caesar's teammates. I read each story in a day because I just had to know what happened. Another great SEAL story! Can be read as a stand alone.
A SEAL’s embrace is the 3rd book in the Take No Prisoner’s series. Each book can be read as a standalone and you won’t feel like you’ve missed anything if you haven’t read the others. You really should read them, though, because so far they’ve all been great books.
SEAL Caesar Sanchez is in love with Nurse Erin McGee but she doesn’t want to have anything to do with him after being burned by her ex-lover. Also non-fraternization rules contribute to her reluctance to get involve with him. Caesar is injured and Erin accompanies him on the transport to the hospital in Germany. The story unfolds quickly and you can feel the heat between the two of them.
Don’t miss this great addition to this series by Elle James. If you like stories about SEALs you will enjoy this one

Woo this was a very hot and fast read. I adored Caesar. He's a big flirt and a bit of a ladies man but when he wants a woman he doesn't take no for an answer.
I love him and Erin. He really cares for her and wont let her go. I like that he's willing to fight to be with her.
Erin had been burned in the past and is afraid that she'll be just another notch for Caesar. But she cant help but want him and be jealous over him. The two of them are really cute and extremely sexy together.
I definitely plan on grabbing the rest in this series. Elle James sucked me into this one and I didn't want it to end.

Novella of the Take No Prisoners series. SEAL Caesar Sanchez is stationed in Afghanistan. He is attracted to an Air Force nurse, Erin. They are not supposed to fraternize because she is an officer and the SEAL's are enlisted. She has also been burned by a former lover. She is cautious but she finally allows her attraction to show through.
When she is sent to Landstuhl to work on wounded, she finds that Caesar has been seriously injured and helps to take care of him. When a serious invasion of the hospital happens, Erin and Caesar take matters into their own hands. Erin also decides that she doesn't want to deny what they both want - each other! Good one.

What's not to like with a hot Navy SEAL? I really enjoyed this great book. It kept me on the edge of my seat and interested from the first page. It's fast-paced, and yet, for such a short story the characters are well-developed. The sizzling hot love scenes made it an awesome read. I'll be looking for more books from this talented author.

This was the very last installment inside of an anthology I began earlier this year. I totally forgot I was reading it, until I happen to be cleaning out some of my virtual shelves . I can't say I really loved this story but I did enjoy a few of the other stories in the anthology. SEALs of Summer is the anthology, if anyone is interested.

Enjoyed this book, particularly the ending section when the action really picked up. Author wrote a slightly different plot, which dragged in the beginning but really zipped from the half way point. Worth the time.
