Olivia spends her days immersed in stories of love and happily-ever-afters, but unlike the heroes and heroines she reads about for the publishing company she works for, Olivia isn't quite as lucky in love.

When she unknowingly stumbles upon a fight between a pair of wolves one night after work, her life is sent into a tailspin that will not only pull at her heartstrings, but will leave her vulnerable to a wolf with a grudge and another bent on keeping her safe by any means necessary.

Olivia's chance encounter blurs the lines between shifters, rival wolf packs, and a chance at real love.

I think the biggest irony of this story is that the main character works for a publishing company, bemoans how many bad books are out that and wants to get an editor position so she can help authors better refine their works. Yet this book does not seem to have benefited from any editing itself!

The story may have a decent premise, but is poorly executed. There are lots of inconsistencies in timeline and tense. the dialogue is often cringe, and sounds more like a teenager talking.

The woman is by turns whiny and bitchy with no real justification. The guy is just kind of strange. I have only made it halfway through and not sure I can finish because it's just too annoying to read. And I understand it is only part one so if I do force my way through, I'll not find out the ending.

Liked story but...

I liked the storyline. However, the bad writing, frequent colloquialisms, inconsistencies and lack of proofreading/editing drove me insane! If you can look past all that then read the book. Additionally, the free to read book 1 but charging for book 2 is a pet peeve. I will not be reading any more of Elena Stone's series that are priced this way. Frustrating read but story was decent.

Jonathan is an ass. Not feeling the warm and fuzzies with him. Aren't romance novels supposed to introduce you to characters you would swoon over? Yeah, uh no. Problems seem to resolve themselves too fast or too easily. Oh, and it leaves you hanging so to have the end of the story you have to go through amazon (and that isn't where I get my books). Each book is 130ish pages. Would have made more sense to have one book with 260 pages instead. I can't even call it a cliffhanger. It is like the author wrote a book and said "hey, let's cut it in half to make more money". We'll, I'm not hanging on the edge of my seat. Storyline and characters are all over the place. No real substance. Sure, I'm curious... But nowhere near enough to actually spend money on part 2.

This story has good bones but needs some solid editing. There are inconsistencies throughout. There was an odd blurb at the end of a chapter that explained what was going to happen next. Also, if he is a billionaire why is his pack worried about paying their bills? As an alpha shouldn't he be taking care of his pack members?

Oh no a series

Okay, usually I won't read a serialized story unless I have all the parts. I missed this book was s part of a series so be prepared for a cliffhanger. Loved the storyline, but lots of gaps that will probably be filled in with the rest of the series.

Hard to Read

This story was hard to read. While the actual storyline was a good idea, it needed some good editing. The first chapters especially need editing. I think with editing, this would be a much better story.

decent read

I think this is a decent book to read but it should have not ended like that. I am disappointed with the ending. Not sure if I would even attempt to read the next one. It was good until the end.

Not what I expected

The storyline was good at first, then moved into second and third person narrative. This book has a lot of potential with some editing and proof reading. It feels like the middle of the story just didn't get printed.

Boring

Boring, slow paced and where was the connection between mates? Where was the fireworks? This book is a huge disappointment.

ending sucks

I guess it’s supposed to be a cliffhanger, but it eruptly ends abruptly and doesn’t feel wrapped up enough to be a cliffhanger. I am not going to read any further.

Good story, just kept finding grammatical errors and it seemed to skip from present tense to past tense...

Lots of over writing if that makes sense. Like she was trying really hard to get words in. Sometimes the book didn't flow well for me.

The book was pretty good, but it ends with a cliff hanger that I was really disappointed with leading to another book.

Too many typos. To much inconsistency with tense within paragraphs. I just couldn't finish it.

Book

This book was so interesting that I couldn't stop reading it. The characters were so different that they worked. Let's where the next book leads.

Grammar. That’s all I have to say. You’re writing a book about a publisher and you didn’t even bother to do a spelling/grammar check. The storyline has potential but I needed more… definitely not paying to read the next one. 😮‍💨

I'd give it 1.5 stars. The story just seemed to jump around. It would switch point of views constantly without a good transition. And the characters would just happen to know things without any indication that the characters even explained things.
It really just felt like the author wanted a werewolf story and a billionaire story, as just one story.
