Tempted #3

Uncontrollable Temptations

Rate this book
Crazy. Deranged. Uncontrollable.
Doctor it up all you want, no formal diagnosis erases the stigma associated with mental illness.
It’s a scar I’ve carried most of my life.
A hell I can’t escape.
I’m the president of the Satan’s Knights Motorcycle Club with enemies near and far.
But the real villain in this story is my mind.
Drowning in darkness, demons and shadows are all I know.
Until one day the sun begins to shine.
She’s broken, just a shell of a woman, but she’s a beautiful, bright light beckoning me home.
Saving me from the torment.
Showing me her own scars.
Healing me.
Loving me.
Shining her light.
An uncontrollable temptation I can’t resist.

Publisher's Note: Uncontrollable Temptations is volume three in The Tempted Series but it may be read and enjoyed as a standalone MC romance. This book has been revised and edited as of January 2021.

5 Million Sunshine Stars

This is the most vulnerable review I’ve ever written.

I can barely write this review because it is so personal. It took me forever to write it (lots of wine helped). I would write a little at a time and then come back to it. Have you ever felt that way? Has a book ever actually changed you? What do you say when a book….changes your life? How?! How did an MC book change my life?! I’ll tell you how.

Sunshine.

I’m not ashamed to say that I struggle with Major Depression. AND I am constantly in a battle with the person I used to be versus the person I am today. These two issues are the CENTER of this book. This book MEANS something to me. This book STRUCK me. Slapped me in the face, and I had no choice but to FEEL. It SPOKE to me, way too close to home. This book is MY THERAPY. This book was MADE FOR ME. This book showed me HOPE. This book showed me the LIGHT in the DARKNESS. Janine Infante Bosco is a GENIUS and loves to murder me with her words. I found myself in both of these characters. I can’t even say how much.

Cherry Pie.

Jack suffers. Period. His mind is his Hell. He has Manic Depression, and he lives in darkness. His is in a constant struggle with his “maker.” Some people may think that depression is sadness, but it’s not. I’m not sad. Jack isn’t sad. He’s tortured….by his mind. There is a saying that “Depression Lies,” and I can say first hand that is the perfect way of describing it. Can you imagine a voice in your head constantly telling you that you are not enough? That you aren’t important? That you don’t matter? That you’re basically a piece of shit. It’s a bunch of constant lies. And you can’t stop it (without medication). You just have to FIGHT it, every day. And that is exactly what Jack does.

Scars.

Reina. Her struggle is with the person she used to be before her trauma versus the person she is now, and finding balance between the two. Everyone changes. I would never have guessed I would be so drastically different than I used to be. I would have said it was impossible. If you took my personality before and literally flipped it 180 degrees, you would have who I am today. And that is exactly what happened with Reina. She doesn’t know what to do with this new person, who she doesn’t know. She doesn’t like who she is, but she can’t go back to the person she used to be.

You.

Janine doesn’t mess around. She jumps right into the center of the Satan’s Knights and writes the President’s book first, and Gawd, it’s beyond. Jack and Reina find SOLACE in each other. Isn’t that what we all want? Just a little bit of PEACE. She does it again with the issues. (There was a lot of cursing at Janine for writing a book such as this. For example, “Damn you, Janine!”) I’ve never read an author like this, especially an MC series like this. This is definitely in my top 3 favorite MC series (with Kristen Ashley and Lauren Gilley). Janine makes it REAL. I came out of this book with HEALED SCARS and NEW SCARS. How did this book changed me? It helped me see that the thing that I viewed as the cause for my struggle can actually be my HOPE. I bought this bracelet to remind me of that HOPE.

Me.

I’m a different person after reading this book. Of course, I am now going to enter the biggest book funk ever because THIS BOOK. I’m sorry to the book I read after this one. Which means I should just keep going with this series because THIS AUTHOR.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

Jack "Bulldog" Parrish is the President of the Satan's Knights MC. He is a man who has lost a lot and he is dealing with manic depression. He has climbed to the top despite his condition and he is now a powerful man with brothers that are loyal to him.

We didn't need blood. We had loyalty. We had respect. We had the stuff that held people together when blood didn't.

When Jack tries to seek revenge for his brother's death, his life will collide with Reina's. She works at a diner and she wants to be invisible to people...Until she isn't.
When Jack discovers that Reina is the woman that was invloved with his brother before his murder, he makes it his mission to get information from her; at any cost.
He silently watches her as she moves through life with her face always hidden, trying to be invisible.

"Five weeks and just finding out now your eyes are brown," he interrupted. "I'm not a real patient man, Reina. That's a long fucking time to realize that the girl who pours me a cup of coffee almost every night has sad brown eyes."

When she reluctantly faces him after a while, he is amazed to actually see how sad and lonely she seems. Reina looks broken, but Jack knows that he isn't the one to fix her. Attraction can be a dangerous thing; especially when you covet your dead brother's girlfriend, but Jack knows that he won't be able to resist.

She was fucking gorgeous. Miles of blonde hair I wanted to fist in my hands, and creamy white skin I wanted to brand with my teeth.

Reina's traumatic experience has cost her the meaning of life. When Danny, her boyfriend, finds tragic death, she is scarred for life. Both physically and emotionally. When she meets Jack Parrish, she knows he is trouble, but he seems to be the only one who makes her come out of her shell. Being with him, existing in his world, is not for her but she sees something familiar in his eyes. She sees pain and extreme sadness; it's like looking into a mirror.
When Jack decides to throw caution to the wind and claim her, will she survive his passion and his lifestyle?

"In a world as dark as the one I live in, sometimes I can't help but crave sunshine," he said huskily.
Sunshine.

The story is raw and captivating and takes the readers on a wild ride of danger and secrets! This is very unique and nothing like I've ever read. If you love MC books, I think you will adore this one. It has emotions and depth and I simply loved the main characters! They were tortured but so strong and brave! Their chemistry was scorching and their push and pull relationship played with my emotions! What a heart-breaking story! Do not miss this.

This sooooo wasn't what I was expecting, cause I haven't read anything by this author before. Janine Infante Bosco is refreshing, really enjoyed her style of writing! Uncontrollable Temptations had a real sense of brotherhood, dangerous elements and action you'd expect from one percenters.

Not only did the bikers separate the men from the boys, but they walk the walk and talked the talk. Its fucking awesome when you have the right balance in a book, everything you crave and a kick ass storyline to boot. I think my favorite character was Blackie.
 photo Buck.jpg
Talking about a man having demons and needing something more then living in a bottle. That's one story I'll be looking for! Don't get me wrong Jack “Bulldog” Parrish
 photo Brass_1.jpg
is one twisted up individual. I'd willingly trade places with Reina DeCarlo in a heartbeat (Lucky bitch) but Blackie.....he's a walking orgasm in need of an exorcism. Game on!

Jack and Reina were two people who knew what it was to exist without living. Both were drowning in pain and breathed life into each other. I was already quite familiar with Jack's pain because I've been Property of Parrish for years, but seeing it mirrored a bit in Reina was a new experience. And although I walked, ran and swam in their deep love for one another some time ago, it was so sweet to see where it all started.

Jack was as crazy as ever. I really cannot get enough of this man! The Satan's Knights were looking for justice and sometimes that looks very ugly. Lives were at stake and no one was safe. I was just excited to see a certain someone get his.

This story was full of feels and angst and further cemented my love for all of these characters.

Jack Parrish is a broken man living with his demons. When his son was a toddler, Jack in a maniac episode didn't watch him and he ran out the house and was knocked down. Jack finally admitted he had a condition and started needs to help himself. The mc saved his life and Jack has been all about his brother's ever since. When his blood brother is murdered Jack goes to get information from the woman he was involved with at the time. He instead spends weeks being captivated by the girl with the sad eyes. When Reina gives him a chance Jack snas up the opportunity to have his Sunshine in his life. But Jack's made some enemies in his partnership with the move and they turn on his brother and his girl in revenge.

Reina lost her boyfriend Danny in a fire during which she was scarred. She's changed from the person she was before and now lives in the projects hiding behind baggy clothes. When she meets Jack she's finally tempted to live again, to let someone see her scars. When Jack's secret is revealed Reina runs only to be taken by his enemies.

I liked this one, I liked Jack and Reina and all their broken pieces. This one felt so emotional to me especially Jack's struggle with his son's death.

I had some issues with certain things but they were me issues and not the book-
Jack and Danny were brothers. He knew from the beginning that Reina was his brother's girlfriend but he expected her to get over it in 24 hrs when he dropped the bomb on her.

Jack had been going nightly to Reina's job just to see her. When she makes a comment he thinks she's judging him and storms off. They weren't together but the interest was there. When Reina goes to apologise she finds Jack getting a bj from a clubwhore. She wishes it was her in the whore's place and eventually turns and leaves. When Jack finds out she was there he IMMEDIATELY goes after her(no washing off the old come or the clubwhore's spit huh??🤔🤷) And they have UNPROTECTED sex! I had some issues with that mess!

After that however there's no OW for Jack

All in all, aside from my minor quibbles I enjoyed this one!

Loved this book and really enjoying the series. This series needs to be read in order for full enjoyment. We have suspense, drama, drugs and mental health issues. A man lost in his own head looses one of the best things that every happened to him but it did make him get help.

A woman who has lost everything and is hiding from the world because she doesn't want anyone to see her scars. She is getting help but she soon realizes she has to want to get better to get better. Scars aren't ugly... they show that you survived.

When these two meet can they help each other?

OMG!!!! I just finished, Uncontrollable Temptations, and that is the perfect title for this book. It was exactly how I felt while reading! I had no control over myself, and when I should have been doing other stuff, I had the uncontrollable urge to keep picking up my kindle! I couldn't put it down! I started to read it late one night, but stopped after just reading the prologue. I knew the minute I started, I wasn't going to be able to stop! And I couldn't. I wouldn't! So, if you're looking for your next read, I highly recommend this series. I loved it! I loved everything about Jack and Reina's story. They were both broken, but made each other completely beautiful.

“Love is raw and beautiful, reminding us that imperfections hold beauty too because no love is perfect."

I love Jack!! Reina said it best when she said..

“You’re beautiful, Jack Parrish, broken and beautiful and I wouldn’t change a thing about you,”

I wouldn't have changed a thing either! He was perfect in every way. He knew exactly what to say and when to say it.

“They’re ugly,” I whispered. “My scars. They’re ugly.”

“They a part of you?” He questioned, not waiting for the answer. “Then they’re not ugly. Let me show you how beautiful they can be,” he said softly, as his finger trailed my lip. “Give me your scars, baby,” he whispered, leaning his forehead against mine. “Let me be the one who sets you free from them.”

That my friend, was when the first tear fell. All I can say is...Ms. Janine, you got me hooked once again! You did this....

You.

When I was asked to review this book, I jumped at the chance. You see it has been way, way to long since I read a good MC book. We're talking at least two years, maybe more. Why? I have no friggin' clue...well I do, but that is neither here nor there. To say that I am back in the saddle again is an understatement. Uncontrollable Temptations was the perfect book to pop my MC cherry again!

Jack "Bulldog" Parrish has lived a life of hell. Even now as the president of the Satan's Knight's he finds himself fighting for some sort of normalcy in his life. He has spent the majority of his life battling mental illness and on more than one occasion he has tried to end it all. When he receives word that his younger brother has lost his life, Jack sets out to find those responsible, what he never expected to encounter was his brothers girlfriend, or what is left of her anyway. And what Jack sees staring back at him, has him questioning everything that he wants for his future.

Reina DeCarlo's world changed forever when she returns home to find her boyfriends body in the middle of the floor. Not wanting to leave him she lays with him, while fire engulfs their home. After weeks of hospital stay and surgeries to recover from her wounds, she finds a new place to live and begins to work for a local diner. What was once important to her no longer is. When she finally gets up the courage to look at the man who sits across the counter from her night after night, for the last five weeks, she sees someone who may just be worse off than her. What begins as small talk, quickly develops into more, but Reina is so scarred that she doesn't think anyone could want what is hidden beneath the baggy clothes and withdrawn person she has become.

“You’re beautiful, Jack Parrish, broken and beautiful and I wouldn’t change a thing about you,”

Can Jack and Reina bare their burdens to one another? Are they strong enough to hold each other up when the cards are stacked so strongly against them? Or will more lies and deceit be their undoing? Go grab your copy of this gritty, sexy, roller coaster ride of emotions. Where blood doesn't always make you family. Where yesterday's choices and decisions don't have to define who you really are.

As one door closes, another one opens.

This is the first book that I have read by Bosco and it definitely will not be the last. I found it to be well written, the story grabs you from the very beginning. The characters are likable and I think the reader can relate to portions of their lives. Besides, who the hell doesn't like a sexy, bad ass, alpha? Reina character was awesome, such a strong, stubborn ass woman, who does her best to remain in control, no matter how much she feels it slipping at times. The rest of the biker's/brothers only added more dimension to the story, showing that just because you are not related by blood, doesn't mean you are not family. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, but cannot wait for Blackie to get his story!

Jack “Bulldog” Parrish learned at a young age he was different. Some labeled him crazy while others called him mentally unstable. Whatever word they used, they were right. However, as an adult the most tragic event that could occur in one’s life does and he loses everything. He is the president of the Satan’s Knights Motorcycle Club and he is feared by many and has enemies near and far who would love to have an opportunity to take him down. But Bulldog’s biggest threat is himself. One day at a time he lives to reign in the darkest of his thoughts and keep the crazy a bay. Never thought he would find a light in all his darkness. Until her…
Reina DeCarlo lived through a horrible nightmare to never have really woken up. She barely lives. She passes her days in an emotionless abyss. A past event now defines who she is and she cannot seem to crawl out from the darkness that has encroached her life. She never thought love could find or that someone could love her despite her past let alone because of it. Until him…
“In a world as dark as the one I live in, sometimes I can’t help but crave sunshine” Jack “Bulldog” Parrish
This is the third book The Tempted Series and if you have not read the first two I strongly recommend you go out and get them. This book was darker than the other two, but it was very fitting for this to be Bulldog’s story. I laugh cried… I sad cried… I mad cried… and I happy cried… This story takes you on a roller coaster of emotions which is why Janine Infante Bosco has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her stories are written with emotion and realism. This one was no exception. How she brings two people together who are so broken and battered and make you feel like a vested participant is quite exceptional. And the passion is palpable as the chemistry is exhilarating. A must read.

One of the most difficult characters for an author to write, and write well, would have to be a character with either a little known disease process, or with a process with huge stereotypes. Very few will attempt these characters, and far fewer will actually nail the character. Now, add the largest moment of grief and guilt in that character's life, and have it be a direct result of said process.

Enter Janine Infante Bosco and President of Satan's Knights MC, Jack "Bulldog" Parrish.

Rather than handling Jack Parrish and his mental illness with kid gloves, I found that Janine went 'balls to the wall' and made a great case for this man. Suffering from manic depression, the one word that has always had the ability to hurt was 'crazy' and the label is one that he fears he'll never get away from.

I found Jack to be a well-rounded character and enjoyed the dark sides to his life. With the flashbacks and the at times self-hate, we as readers get to see the full growth this man takes.

Reina, too, had her own dark moments and as I'm prone to do, I enjoyed watching as she opened up to Jack -- from his first gruff introduction after his five weeks coming into the dinner, through to the end. These two have found little to trust in after a world of disappointments, but with just the little bit of good the other gives, they both have the ability to finally find sunshine.

This series keeps getting better. Ms. Bosco's ability to write this MC world is definitely great; her characters have flaws, but they also have the ability to love -- with just the right person. I am so excited to see that Riggs is next.

INCREDIBLE STORY! Janine Infante Bosco is a new author for me. I love a good MC romance and thought I'd give this one a try. I am so glad I did. This is the story of Jack and Reina. Jack 'Bull Dog' Parrish is the president of Satan's Knight's MC. He's also a manic depressive, battling the demons in his mind on a daily basis. Reina DeCarlo has scars. Ugly scars she wants to keep hidden. She survives the horrific night her boyfriend is brutally murdered and their house is destroyed by fire. Just a shell of her former self, she wants to hide from the rest of the world. But when she meets Jack, he ignights something inside of her. He makes her feel alive again. Jack sees Reina as a ray of sunshine on his dark, twisted soul. He wants her to give him her scars. He wants to make them invisible. Can these two come together and save each other or does fate have other plans for them? This was such an incredible story. The writing is amazing. It grabbed ahold of me from page 1 and I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to reading more from Janine Infante Bosco.

Jack Jack Jack... Wow this book had me so emotional. I felt so much for Jack & even, Blackie.

This is definitely my favorite one in the series so far. Yes, Jack is a crass dick, but he's also sweet & thoughtful & protective. I really liked Jack & Reina together. Even though she's a straight-laced, shy girl, it worked. They balanced each other out.

I loved how the story really developed & unfolded. There was drama, action, suspense but some delish love time too.

I definitely recommend this one... I'm anxious to find out Blackie's story & hopefully, Riggs too.

I hate that Reina walks in on Jack getting a BJ and finishing in some club whores mouth. Ugh. I'm so glad she left but o hate that she is with him when he comes to her house after. He doesn't even apologize for what she saw. Other than that it was a good story with a HEA. That scene in the clubhouse was just so wrong I had to take 2 stars off.

This is the first book I have read from this author, but it’s the third book in the Tempted Series. All of the books so far have been standalone novels, however to get a better picture of the overall story I suggest reading the others first as they do have recurring characters. I will certainly be going back and reading the previous books in this series, and anything else this author has written as this book was just amazing.

This book focuses on Jack “Bulldog” Parrish, the Prez of the Satan’s Knights MC club; Jack is an alpha male with a difference, a manic depressive who needs control of everything in his life just to get through a day, and Reina, a lost soul hiding just trying to survive from one day to the next. Until they collide and help each other face their demons and learn to live with them rather than fight them.

I loved this author’s writing style it was gritty, and for me was exactly how I would imagine the lives of motorcycle club member to be, as seen on the TV! Jack is strong, forceful and demanding, yet has a softer side that he keeps well hidden. Reina starts off as a meek and fragile woman but over the course of the book, and with the help of Jack grow into a strong confident woman. The sexual chemistry on between Jack and Reina is pretty much instant, but Reina fights against it.

This book pulls you in right from the prologue; it starts with loss and a grief that you cannot even imagine, and will have you reaching for the Kleenex, there are plenty of emotions throughout this book, yes there are a few laugh-out-loud moments, and the author has balanced them well against the more somber heart-breaking moments. The supporting characters add a depth and realism to the story and will leave you wanting to know more, especially about Blackie and Lacey, **hint hint Ms Bosco**

Overall a fantastic read and a well-deserved 5 stars from this reviewer.

I was so excited when I saw that Uncontrollable Temptations was going to be Jack's book because I really wanted him to get his own story! It was even better than I thought it would be and it's definitely my favorite in the Tempted series so far. It was amazing and I positively loved it!

Speaking of love, I loooved Reina! She is one awesome, strong heroine and I couldn't see anyone better suited for Jack than her. Reina has been through a lot and she lost herself for a little while, but she found herself again and it was beautiful and wonderful watching her become such a strong, better woman. Reina is totally kicka*s, fantastic, and I wouldn't change a single thing about her!

I think I loved Jack from the moment I met him or at the very least I was interested and eager to see more of him. I had no idea of his struggles and when I did - my heart utterly broke for him and I couldn't have stopped myself from loving him if I tried. Jack is an amazing man - he's loyal, protective, passionate, and just good. Jack definitely had me melting, swooning, and falling for him from his possessiveness to his dirty taking to his determination about being with Reina and to his sweetness. He's everything that I love and need my heroes to be and I know that he will make you fall for him too!

Uncontrollable Temptations broke my heart, brought tears to my eyes, and made my nose and eyes sting. It was beautiful and tragic and rough. It made my heart pound and my blood race and had me on the edge of my seat turning the pages as fast as I could with the tension and anticipation building with each new chapter and moment. It was absolutely incredible and I can't wait to read the next book!

Uncontrollable Temptations is a standalone, it's told from Jack and Reina's POV and they do get their happily-ever-after!

5 Intense Star’s

So now we are on the 3 book of the series and Wow I am soo glad I decided to read them, although yes they can be read as standalone's getting to see each guy get his girl is just AWESOME!!

Jack “Bulldog” & Reina

Little back story Jack is president of the MC, Reina is Jack’s brothers ex-girlfriend.
Still with me? Good.

Jack is battling his own demons in his head but also in his heart. His loyalty though is unmatched and I freaking <3 this of him.
His mind is his enemy, or that’s how he sees his illness. His medication helps him battle it.

“You’re beautiful, Jack Parrish, broken and beautiful and I wouldn’t change a thing about you,”

Reina is battle herself, her old self and her new self and coming to terms with who she is now and how her body has changed, yes but also how to love herself while she is falling in love.

“They a part of you?”
“Then they’re not ugly. Let me show you how beautiful they can be,”

Pretty intense yes, but so beautiful this story amazing.

“I felt like I was Baby from Dirty Dancing carrying a pie instead of a watermelon.” – Reina
The first time she goes to the compound.. Yeah great scene…

They started out more as friends but with this pull to each other I think that’s what I like about this book so much. She fell slowly but completely but the best part is she fell for the man not his biker persona.
Jack has his own demons and he sees the pain and demons in Reina, it was almost like their souls found each other.

“I survived.”
“And I learned that surviving is worse than dying. It’s hell in its purest form”
– Reina this broke my heart.

I can see this review is a lot of quotes because they really do tell the story better than I ever could.
My last and final though..

The Blackie scene at the end.. Broke my heart and explained so much about him.

Wow, Janine Infante Bosco really pulled out all the bikers with this story. An MC combined Mafia story with a plot that tempts you for more.

If you haven’t met Jack ‘Bulldog’ Parish, then I recommend you do. He is one wild character full of so many layers that you will grow to love.

Reina took a little while to grow on me, but when she came out of her shell, she was a woman to admire for her dedication to Jack.

The fact that Jack and Reina each found their ‘sunshine’ in each other was perfect. How they get there is a total ride and you have to read it to experience it.

They both have their demons, and they both have pasts they would rather forget – but they find good in each other. It really is touching.

All the characters within this story were extremely well placed and well developed. They each had a part to play and it was fun at times as well as brutal. I have to say, I loved the dialogue between the bikers. I really think Janine may have been a biker in her former life. :)

I especially enjoyed seeing all the other characters from book #1 and book #2 intertwined into this story as well. Janine did a great job combining the relationship of these characters together. It added so much depth to the story line and plot.

The plot turns fierce midway through when it thickens and heads roll. All in the name of family and love. I love it when a story can keep me entertained and enthralled at the same time.

If you like MC/Mafia romance, then this is definitely a book you should read and experience yourself.

Well done Janine Infante Bosco on a #tempting story.

I received a ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review over on my blog Pretty Little Book Blog.

This story begins with a heartbreaking look into Jack 'Bulldog' Parr's past and what becomes part of the catalyst to his journey of vengeance and healing (i know those things don't go together usually but stick with me on this). He's is the uncontrollable force of nature that has came up in a rough area and then joined a MC to become someone only talked about in hushed tones. An outlaw, a biker, who some people might call a monster. But who is just misunderstood.  He lives by different rules where loyalty and family is not always determined by blood

After he becomes president of the club Jack tries to get them free of some of the illegal activities they are involved in all while planning a vengeance mission to avenge his brother's death. Part of this is watches this waitress Reina who might be just the ticket to unraveling all the pain and loss he has suffered. She has a hidden connection to his past this is revealed in a round about way, throughout this dark story there are rays of light and hope that there is more for both of these wounded people than just merely getting through the day. There are things to be living for. There are some twists and turns during the course of this story. Some I could tell were going to happen but some definitely took me by surprise!

This book functions pretty well as a standalone even though it is book 3 in the series. I had not read the previous 2 books before picking this one up yet I did not feel lost in the story at all.

3 1/2 stars

So maybe it was the fact that I didn't read the others books so I didn't know the back story to many of the back stories.

Jack “Bulldog” Parrish
Crazy: Mentally deranged, especially as manifested in a wild or aggressive way.

So this man has went through I loss so bad that it made me feel so sorry for him. I wanted to hold his hand and tell him everything was going to be ok.

He is the president of the Satan’s Knights Motorcycle Club, a man of power and control.
His enemies are everywhere. I'm sure there is more in the other stories before which is why I was confused!

I’m just a man who battles his demons, a man destined to live a life full of darkness.
Until her.

So this is where it lost me, he meets this waitress Reina DeCarlo working in a diner. You think it's chance meeting but it isn't.

Their relationship is really one sided at the beginning and he treats her like a piece of tail. I would have been out. But Reina hung in there.

She was a shell of the woman that she used to be, hiding behind her self. Until she lets him in and he changes her. She finally becomes who she was in the past.

Their past are intertwined and he's keeping secrets from her. It was interesting to see how she would take it.

This is our story, a story neither of us knew how to write until we found each other.

In all I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more had I read the previous books!

Janine's honest and respectful approach to creating a character with manic depression (yet still bad ass and sexy) was phenomenal. Jack Parrish is an MC BBF to be reckoned with. And Reina is the friend you want on speed dial. Told in dual POV, Uncontrollable Temptations is a heartbreaking story of one man's demons the woman who wants to fight them.

Throughout the story the reader knows, without a doubt, that there will be an epic moment of revelation between the M/m and my anxiety was through the roof. Not only is there terrible a-brewin' between Jack and Reina, but the MC is preparing for war... well some of them. You won't go without suspense and action at any time.
And I felt reborn as I temporarily was gifted a glimpse of the carefree woman who enjoyed living on the edge.

The self acceptance both characters are lacking is heartbreaking and watching them struggle is difficult. But I could NOT stop reading ... at any point. I honestly believe you won't be able to either.

Janine has always had a way with am emotional story, but I think UT is her best yet. The depth achieved in this novel is amazing and addicting, I really can't say more than read it now.

***ARC PROVIDED FOR HONEST REVIEW***

how on earth did i miss this series???!!!
I have followed this author (not very well if i missed the first two books in this series) from reading The Riverdale Series, and if you haven't been introduced to Jake and Cara you must read it- but have tissues ready.
Anyway, i digress...I couldn't get enough of this book. We are introduced to Jack and Reina.
Two people bought together, sharing their grief and the hurt they have both suffered.
Its hard to write a review without adding spoilers (i dislike spoilers) So i am keeping it as simple as i can..
Two people from different backgrounds, come together...grief binding them...and this is their story.

I love this book, very emotional, felt like i was right there with the characters, experiencing, all their pain, joy, sadness..
A must read...and well worth it.

I absolutely fell head over heart for Bulldog. He's not easy by any means, but damn the man is just delicious. He went and gave me the feels. I mean heartache and swooning galore. His and Reina's story is a beautiful one all about coming out of the dark and into the light. I fell equally as hard for Reina. The girl has been through the damn ringer only to be rewarded with Jack. Watching them find each other and experience healing and love was just fantastic. Now I am dying to hear more about Leather and Lace. I can't wait to read more.

I give Uncontrollable Temptations 5 hearts!

I loved this book. This was one of those books that I just could not put down. From the beginning of the prologue to the last page I was glued to me kindle. When you have one badass dude and then add in MC, I could not be happier. The author has created a fabulous story line with Jack and Reina. I highly recommend this book and series.

Having already read Satan's Knights series I am already familiar with Jack 'Bulldog' Parrish. Having said that it didn't detract from the story. Jack is one of those characters that stays with you, he is dark and he's broken but for those he loves his heart is as big as a bucket. It was also good to get the back story on Reina and all that she has been through.
As with anything with this author, this book, infact the whole series, has passion and characters that will linger in your mind for a while. This would have been 5 stars but for the ongoing editing issues, having said that this book has far fewer mistakes than previous ones.

This is the beginning of Jack and Reina's story. This book takes you on the wild ride of these two getting together. I loved it. I love Jack and Reina. Just something about these two and their story. Jack is dealing with a lot and Reina is trying to build a new life after what happened to her. They both need something but will each of them be able to give the other person what they need? Some very touching moments in this one. It will definitely keep you engaged and have you wanting to know what is going to happen next. Overall an amazing well written book. Highly recommend reading this one.

Wow each book gets better and better. Jack 'Bulldog' Parish is competing with Anthony for top hot male status, and it's a close call between them.

Jack and Reina's story is a really emotional one of heartbreak, fear, loss, guilt, psychological issues, surviving, love and trust. They have both been through the most heart wrenching tragedies and are both broken and trying to function in daily life as best they can. There is an instant connection between them soon as their eyes meet and they begin to heal each other.

They both see beyond each other's physical and mental scars and break down the barriers they have both put up around themselves. Jack makes Reina see she is beautiful and her physical scars do not define her and she helps him see that what happened to his son wasn't his fault and he can finally grieve for him.
'Give me your scars, baby. Let me be the one who sets you free from them'

Add in the continuing twists and turns of the relationship between the MC and the mob following the change of mob leadership and this is a series page turning, addictive story. Jack needs to avenge his brothers death and it means going up against the new mob boss and putting his Brothers in the MC at risk too.

Janine covered the topic of Manic Depression brilliantly. The glimpse of the darkness Jack felt, was really realistic and completely knocked you for six, the emotions really seeping off the pages.
'In a world as dark as the one i live in, sometimes I can't help but crave sunshine'

I loved seeing Anthony and Micky join the drama with some other favourite characters from the first 2 books. Can't wait to see what happens next in the series. Each book gets its claws in more and more.

⭐️I was extremely lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book from the Author ⭐️
