I was thinking there would be more pictures of cats slinking around Paris in different beautiful scenes but there are still some really good pictures in the book.

Here are a couple of the actual Paris pictures.

 :

 :

There something about these cat pictures that I like and find funny :-) I haven't decided if I'm going to color them the way they are supposed to look or give them crazy colors!

 :

I really love the cat stamps they have in the book. I am definitely going to color them in wild colors, I just can't help it, I think they will look beautiful like that!

 :

These cats, in my opinion are the nerd, bookworm cats :-) I love them! They are smarter than your average cat so watch out for them because they are all clones!

 :

Overall I like most of the pictures, I just wished they would have had more of them around Paris together, I think that would have been nice, but for what they have it will be nice to color!

I'm in the middle ground on this book. The pages are thick and the paper is high quality. However, some of the drawings seem very simple for an adult coloring book.

Palm Springs commercial photography

The beginning of the book is a cat giving you a short tour of Paris. He ends up in a bookstore, whici I loved.
Palm Springs commercial photography

That's only for a short part in the front. The rest of the book is random with some simple images to color and some more complex. There are also several pages of cat postage stamps to entertain yourself with.
I like some of the images in the book and the paper quality so I'm rounding up to a three star for the book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for review from Blogging for Books. Thank you!

I usually highlight a fellow reviewer in this space but I'm the only one at this time that has reviewed this book on GR.

When I first learned about this book, I was pretty excited. I mean it has cats! And the cats are in Paris!! What is not to love about this concept?

Then I received the book and opened it up.

I was so disappointed by what I saw.

Now, you are probably wondering why I found myself so disappointed in this coloring book, and I will tell you. The first and main reason is that I am not a fan of the the illustrations.

I didn't think that the illustrations were very well done and they did not appeal to me at all. I wanted something fun to color, and I didn't find these illustrations very fun at all. The cats look a little bit awkward and a lot of the pictures are rather squiggly looking. More like quick line drawings, not something that seems like something I want to spend my time coloring.

I also thought that the illustrations were the type that would be difficult to color. Some people may be in for that kind of challenge, but it just isn't for me.

Other than that, the paper quality seemed nice, but each page is double sided. So if you were planning on coloring on it with markers, that is something you would have to do at your own risk.

I wish I could be more excited than I am about this one, I really truly do. However, that is not the case. It just wasn't my thing.

"I have a great concept for a coloring book!" said the artist.
"Oh? And what is that?" queried the publisher.
"Cats!"
"That's nice, but cats have been done. Can you throw anything else in there?"
"...Paris?"
"That sounds great!"
"But, I don't have a lot of drawings of Paris, so how about we just do whatever with cats and say it's in Paris?"
"Sure, that'll work too."
And that, I think, sums up what went into this book. There are cats all over it, so that wasn't a lie. But there's very little of Paris in it. The art style also changes wildly throughout the book. There were actually three distinct art-styles throughout. The first portion of it we'll call "sketch jazz ugly."

During the sketch jazz ugly portion, the illustrations are sketchy with some bits of dialogue included where a supposedly Parisian cat shows you his favorite sketched-out Paris haunts. It's as weird as I just described it. This portion of the book lasts for about the first 16 pages before it moves on to the next style, "Sketch jazz real." The illustrations from here forward are much nicer than the initial ugly jazz stage, but continue to be "sketchy." I think there may be two clean lines in this entire book. In any case, during the middle portion there are more varied cats, and it looks as though the illustrations are speed drawn from live cats. To be fair, if you like cats, this part might make you happy. It certainly made me laugh, because there's an illustration of a cat lying on its back, presenting its butt-hole to the viewer. No, I'm not kidding. It made me laugh because that's true to cats, but now you've been warned that there is illustrated cat a-hole in this book.

Shortly after the cat a-hole image, the artist's caffeine-and-sugar-fueled high subsides long enough to provide us with some nice, albeit boring compared to cat-butt, images of cat stamps. Yes, stamps. Like the kind you put on your mail. Totally useless to actually send mail, but nice. However, the trip into staid sanity is short-lived, and we return to madness (of the “what the hell is that cat doing?” variety) for a few more pages before the book simply ends.

This book is scattered. The cats in Paris portion is awfully short to have the whole book named after it, and the art style isn't consistently good. It isn't the worst coloring book in the world, but I know I'll enjoy my other coloring books far more. You might like this book if:
1. You like cats
2. You like weird stuff
3. You would like to color cat-related sketches.
If you're looking for Paris, look elsewhere. There isn't enough of it here to qualify.

Cats no- Paris yes

I have been waiting with great anticipation for the man in the brown shirt & pants to deliver the box
containing CATS IN PARIS a magical coloring book. Having asthma, I am not a big fan of cats, it seems that when I'm around them, they love to rub up against me and I start coughing & wheezing-So receiving Won-Sun Jang's magical coloring book, gives me the opportunity to admire these beautiful creatures up close without the need of my inhaler.

There is a storyline behind the cats and it was interesting to see the sights of Paris through feline eyes. There are intricate coloring pages or more simple and the pages are thick enough that you could use crayons, colored pencils or even watercolor - the choice is yours.

I give this book the highest rating and recommend this enjoyable coloring book as a gift or simply for yourself as you curl up with these special Cats in Paris.

I was seduced by the cover of this coloring book: cat on a bookshelf. It's my favorite of the drawings, that will give great pleasure to fans of coloring, cats, and Paris. An interesting mix of line drawings and scanned art. I've come to the conclusion that though I like to draw art for coloring, I'm not such a big fan of coloring, itself.

Thanks to blogging for books and the publisher for sending a copy my way.

Cats in Paris is a really cute and unique coloring book with a fairly large variety of art styles to pick from. Plus…it has cats, so that’s an automatic point.

I’m sort of known for starting a ton of pages and then never getting around to finishing them before moving on to the next one. I do finish them eventually, but I like the variety and patience that moving to a new page creates. There are so many pages in this one that demand immediate attention and I’m loathe to deny them them the chance. Though I haven’t touched two of my favorite images yet, which are posted below. One has a cat with glasses and a bow, and the other is a super simple line drawing of different cat breeds.

It does make it seem like it’s going to be a book focused on cats around Paris, but for the most part the images are pretty universal like the ones pictured below. There are probably around 4 or 5 that feature Paris in some respect, but it does have a very artsy feel to it. The paper is nice and thick, but since I use colored pencils as my poison of choice I’m not really sure if it’s thick enough to hold up under marker.

There are only a few pages in this that I have no interest in or any idea how to tackle them, and they are mostly towards the front. They have a style that has a lot of printed shading and smears, but no true definitive lines in which to color the page. They look cool, but are essentially useless to me.

I’m really pleased with this one! It’s definitely a bit different from my others (Enchanted Forest, and Time Garden) and it’s super cute. It’s definitely one to check out for all the cat lovers out there who need to unwind a bit.

This is nice. I love the way this book is put together. I have other coloring books made just like this one and they are all amazing. Bright white paper that is thick, printed on both sides. The cover is cute. It has an actual dust jacket making it sturdy and giving it a nice quality look. This book is quite a bit larger than I expected, and the page count is also higher than anticipated.

The pictures themselves are nice. The are hand drawn, so don't expect crisp lines. In my opinion this makes for a great finished product because of its uniqueness. This sure to appeal to anyone who loves to color and has a love for domestic house cats.

My Prismacolor colored pencils work well on these, as do my gel pen. The cheaper Crayola colored pencils actually work better than I thought they would. I haven't tried my watercolor pencils yet, but I expect good results.

I am having a blast using different colors for the cats fur then blending them together. I have had some really awesome results.

I will definitely be seeing what other products are available by the same publisher. All three that I have are very nice.

Cats in Paris: A Magical Coloring Book by Won-Sun Jang is different than my typical coloring books.

It's a coloring book of the secret world of cats as they explore the city's famous parts. I thought there would be more of Paris, but many of the pages are simple collages. Some pages are very detailed, whereas others are pretty simplistic.

I ordered this one to color with the kids so am very happy with the more simple illustrations on certain pages. The kids will learn a bit of history of Paris while coloring their favorite animal - cats!

I will enjoy the more detailed pages, especially any involving books! That cover just spoke to me - cats and books being two of my favorite things!

This adult coloring book does have the flavor of Paris from it's charming cover to the "bonjour"back cover! Inside you will find delightful kitties of all types. Explore historical places with these cats. Also visit cats lounging on cushions, wandering through butterfly gardens and surveying their domain atop a pile of suitcases. Other cats proudly peruse book stores or bags of cat food. You'll find cats on stamps, listed by types, playing with yarn, snuggling in a basket, wearing champion ribbons and leaving paw prints on the pages. This book is perfect for a cat lover or lover of Paris or French culture.

With Valentine's Day around the corner, this is a cute book for cat collectors.

Overall, it's more "cat"astic than Parisian. I had all these sweet French cat stereotypes in my head when I considered this book. And although there are pages with cats against the backdrop of Montmarte, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Eiffel Tower, afterwards its mostly typical cats that could be from anywhere. Cat stamps. Cats and flowers. Cats and yarn.

So, it probably won't teach you much about Paris. But if you love cats and want a fun, feline coloring book, this one is nice.

This was a very sweet and thoughtful gift, I love cats and have been wanting to grow my coloring book collection, to some extent. Not the most amazing illustrations (but the artist is definitely talented), there are several gems and the pages seem to be thick enough to prevent bleeding from watery inks. I haven't tried using water colors or adding water to my water color pencils just yet, but plan to do so. Hopefully that will go as expected. There is also a brief story at the beginning which offers some of the most illustrated of the illustrations. I look forward to putting my "artistic" touch on this book and would recommend to anyone else who enjoys coloring, cats and Paris.

I just loved this coloring book. I know in the future I'll probably grab on for my sister as well. She is a huge cat fan and she is moving back to Paris for school shortly. It is adorable, well drawn, and seems to be high quality. As I've said before I only have colored pencils, but I think markers/pens would work great on these pages. They're very thick. I have no complaints and I am so happy I was able to add this to my collection. It has 80 pages, but I've attached a few pictures below.

This was a cute, fun coloring book to enjoy! There are so many fun coloring pages in this book, and I really enjoyed listening to audiobooks while filling this out. There is even a scene with a cat in a bookstore (my favorite). The pages are thick, but I still would not recommend using a marker to color in this. I like to use colored pencils because I can change the pressure and intensity of the coloring.

Perfect gift for all ages and for yourself!

You cat lovers out there, you are going to be in love getting to color these BEAUTIFUL felines, YOUR PETS! Who would not? No one, as long as you don't LOVE cats! There are so MANY different ways these cats are positioned in so many wonderful ways, such as in backgrounds and even wrapping paper! The list goes on! Allow me to inform you this IS a coloring book FOR ADULTS TO COLOR AND ENJOY! Finally, huh! Yes! For the 18+ crowd! No, there are not ANY adult-themed photos, so NO WORRIES there! This is just NOT for your kids to color! It's for the adults out there who DESERVE to have their OWN DEDICATED COLORING BOOKS!
You are going to LOVE these cats, for the most part, but I've got to be honest and say I have seen better drawings of domestic pets other than what are in this book. Although, this book does say the following in the description which is,

"Fill in the blanks using your creativity.
The sketches, lines, and patterns in this book leave room for you to express your individuality"

so that is the lack thereof, but not enough explanation for myself.
The one thing that is drastically different as compared to other coloring books out there, and if we were inside of a bookstore, it would be COMPLETELY different than what we can see now is that I really wish this author weren't as stingy (Yes! I said that!) as she was in that she did not show us at least some "more" of her sketch collection from this coloring book (where Amazon allows us to see inside of books) of these cats that are throughout it! Why not? Other authors have shown us their ENTIRE BOOKS in their Previews! (Their coloring books, too, just like this one!) They have shown us page-by-page of the gorgeous art they have made! Again, in the PREVIEW!!! They don't hide ONE drawing, unlike THIS author IS doing, and I don't understand why??? WHY HIDE such talent? I'll say it again, if I were PHYSICALLY inside of a bookstore, I COULD look through the entire book! I believe the other authors are thinking the VERY SAME THING, so why not allow us to see inside this beautiful book? I have reviewed several other coloring books, and I have to admit that those authors have shown every single page that is in their book, as if we were physically INSIDE of a bookstore, and I also believe that IS the BEST WAY to do it! I cannot understand why you would NOT show off what is inside your coloring book? I LOVE Art, Drawing, Painting, etc., so this is why I am so disappointed she has not shared more of her work with us. We should have been given MORE to expect from this book, more to excite us and to make us want to HAVE TO HAVE THIS BOOK! At least "I" can tell you there is MORE to come inside of this book since I have it in my hands! There is so MUCH MORE you will enjoy, PROMISE!
I will express my disappointment with this coloring book as it starts to get towards the end. After a while, it seems as if the drawings start to get a little messy, weighed down with a lot of ink. I don't know why this difference starts to happen?
All in all, I can't think of anything MORE enjoyable than to sit and color in these beautiful creatures! YOUR favorite pets, wild animals possibly!
HONESTLY, ENJOY THIS BOOK! You are NEVER too old to enjoy the timeless art of coloring your favorite things! Remember, too, coloring is SO relaxing! Enjoy!

“Cats Without Paris” –3.5 stars

Where is Paris?

The title of Ms. Jang’s book promises two things: 1. Cats. 2. Paris. While the book satisfies the first requirement, it fails with the second. As a reader, I expected to see page after page of illustrations featuring felines lounging about famous (and perhaps not-so-famous) Parisian landmarks. Oddly, this is not the case. Early in the book, we see a drawing of Montmartre, followed on the next page by the Eiffel tower. After this, we view a Parisian street. There’s an illustration of a bookshop, which spans three pages; a partial drawing of Notre Dame; a cat cemetery; and an outdoor scene with vendor tables featuring glasses for sale. These illustrations fill up approximately 12 pages of the book. And, to be fair, a cat (or cats) does accompany many of these renderings. The next 62 pages, however, feature cats and… what the author refers to as “Home Sweet Home.”

Whoever decided to call this book Cats in Paris deserves a slap on the wrist. (I’m inclined to see it as a marketing ploy; I doubt it was the author’s idea.) As a whole, I get the impression that Ms. Jang completed Home Sweet Home as its own work and then tacked on a few illustrations of Paris as an afterthought. I just can’t think of any other explanation for the awkward organization of this book.

Though the content does not meet expectations (from a thematic standpoint), the book itself is beautiful. The cover features a lovely illustration that rivals both of Daria Song’s Time books. And the book itself (if you remove the jacket) displays two more drawings.

There’s no doubt that Ms. Jang is a talented artist. In the introduction, she expresses her appreciation for the feline community. Turning the pages of this book, her understanding of cats—and her appreciation of their curious natures—really comes through to the reader. (There’s a cat in a box; a cat on its back with all four legs outstretched; kittens on a sofa with their heads cocked to the side.) There’s also a series of six cat stamps, which I found a delightful surprise.

As with Ms. Song’s books, I’m not sure that I would recommend this as a coloring book.
Some of the illustrations are too minimalist; some are too busy. Take the street vendor scene, for instance, where Ms. Jang captures the essence of the moment too well. There are so many glasses overlapping one another that they’re virtually impossible to color; a couple of rows actually look like blobs of gray. Some of the illustrations span two pages, which also makes them difficult to color—unless perhaps you break the spine. But then, what good is the book?

Cats in Paris features some fun illustrations for cat lovers. Just don’t expect to find a whole lot of Paris!

Ever since adult coloring books started becoming popular, I was eager to jump on that bandwagon. My husband has to laugh at me because I can’t walk past them in the bookstores without flipping through them.

IMG_2980Overall, I find them to be such a fantastic way to relieve stress, clear my mind, or puzzle through whatever I’m writing. So, getting to review one seemed like a wonderful opportunity.

When I got the book, I had both a positive and negative reaction. Here is whIMG_2981at I loved: I just enjoyed flipping through the book. I can certainly recognize the art and talent that went into the drawings. There are some really fun pages that incorporate patterns with a picture of a cat. The beginning pictures feature very Parisian moments with a cat as your tour guide essentially, complete with cute little captions of what they are. There is a nice blend of more scene based images and some that are more patterns.

IMG_2979However, I also find that for me, I’ll struggle to think of how to color some of the pages. Some of the beginning ones, whiel very artistically drawn, they don’t have the clearly layed out lines that I like to color. For someone more interested in blending in their coloring books and such, I’m sure they’ll love it. But I prefer those crisp images where I know exactly what to color what and can just use a single color. I also found that some of the images are a bit boring. For example, there is a spread that just has paw prints repeated all over it.

I did color a bit in the book before writing my review. Colored pencils obviously will work fine and are probably even ideal for a number of the pictures. But, since the pictures are printed on both sides of the page, I was concerned with how coloring with markers would work. I tested my regular Crayola markers on a page, and there was no bleeding through the page.

Overall, there are more pages in this book that I didn’t care for than what I was excited to see. I did enjoy it to flip through and I found the book to have quality pages. It’s a book that I would reccommend flipping through before deciding to purchase to make sure it is the type of coloring book you would be looking for.

I’ve reviewed four coloring books so far and this one is probably my favorite. It might have something to do with the theme, I am a cat lover after all. I was delighted when it came in the mail and I look forward to hours spent filling in the pages as I relax in my living room. As with the other coloring books that I’ve reviewed from this publisher the book is of exceptional quality with nice thick pages that work well with what ever medium you choose to work in. The cover is removable and colorable (is that a word?) as well. There is a variety in types of pictures featured in the book, most geared for the more advanced artist, but there are a few that work well for us with a less steady hand too.

Unlike two of the other coloring books I reviewed there is less of a story in this book. Well perhaps in the beginning we shown some scenes from Paris featuring cats, but most of the book is simply a collage cats and other images or different cat scenes. There were a couple of points that cost this book that last star for me. The fact that the book will not lay flat for easy coloring or have removable pages. This is something I wish the publishers would take into account with they make these beautiful books. It is difficult to color a book that will not lay flat. There is also some coloring pages that feature overlapping images that the OCD person in me didn’t care for. Do I color the flower or the cat, do I break the color of the flower into different shades where they overlap the background image… It just frustrated me for those few images and is probably not a big deal for most people. I would have also like less images featuring teeny tiny little images that can only be filled in with a very sharp pencil point. I know it is an adult coloring book, but still common I don’t want to spend all my time sharpening a pencil.

Otherwise this is truly a lovely book and will make a great gift for the coloring cat-lover in your life. The price on the back cover is $14.99 and I feel quite reasonable for the quality book you are purchasing.

How does one properly rate a coloring book? I think that constructing a review was the most tedious part, in which I had to resort back to the book for its therapeutic purpose of relieving stress via coloring. SO, here's a review that will provide insight into the two biggest things that I think go into a coloring book...

1. Construction of the book- the pages are thick and heavy, which would be perfect for those who like to color with markers versus crayons or colored pencils. Personally, I dislike flimsy pages for fear that pressing down too hard will rip through the page. This did not happen at all, which made me a happy camper.

2. Coloring options- a coloring book needs to have some variety when it comes to choosing which pages to color. I thought that there were many different options, and since this was a cat themed coloring book, they all had felines in some shape or form. One thing that I shrugged at were how many similar pages there were (for example- multiple versions of cat stamps.... I got the hint with one or two, but there were a total of 6). I'm also not a cat person (SORRY!!), but I enjoyed the different scenes. Another thing that did bother me were the lack of Paris related scenes...

Overall, I received this book to review because I wanted to review a coloring book simply because I had not done so previously. I was pleased with this choice, but do think it could use some improvement in some areas, particularly in the balance of coloring options of both cats and of Paris.

I am officially obsessed with these adult coloring books that are now available. I love to spend my time coloring the intricate and beautiful designs in these. I recently received a copy or Cats in Paris. This is one of my favorite adult coloring books so far. This is the perfect coloring book if you are a cat lover. This book is full of pages that are just of cats. There are so many fun pages to color. You can find pages of cats lounging around. You can also find pages of cats jut having fun. The pages are not flimsy either. The pages in this book are thicker than just a normal coloring book. This makes it really nice if you like to color with marker. You can also use colored pencils to color these fun cat designs.

This is a great coloring book for adult that love art, and to color. This is not just a typical coloring book. The designs are much more intricate than your typical children's coloring book. This book is great for older children that love to color more challenging designs. My 8 year old daughter loves these adult coloring books because they are much more challenging and the pictures are much more detailed than what you find out there for children. She also loves kitties, so this was a big hit!

So, instantly I want to give this a 5 star rating because CATS but I can't for a few reasons. Just a few.

This is a coloring book on cats in Paris. Out of 80 pages, Paris themed pages take up about 12. I was hoping for cats in architectural settings as simple as a desk or window up to walking the streets of Paris. Most are cats in, what I like to call, "floating settings," one or two things (a ball of yard or cat bed) to set the scene while the rest is blank or some sort of pattern. Some pages aren't even catty or are complete repeats of earlier pages. So that big is a let down.

The drawings themselves are very pretty, though. I usually break out the crayons for coloring books, but the author and artist's strokes are so beautiful that I feel watercolor is the best medium to use. The thickness and quality of each page is honestly good enough for some watercolor, too, so you won't have to worry about your book falling to pieces the second water touches it.

Finally, the last bit I love about this book is the design. A thick, almost plush cover adorned with a cat sleeping in a bookcase. The books have cat references on their spines; the spine of the actual book is a rare metallic gold. Even though Cats in Paris is a soft cover book, it pretends to be a hard cover in that you can take off the jacket to find another cute cover underneath. Honestly, the whole book is just so attractive to the eye, especially if you're a crazy cat lady bookworm! It'd make a perfect gift.

My teenage daughter and I have been having a lot of fun with adult coloring books lately. When I saw Cats in Paris, I knew that we needed to try this one. We have really enjoyed it.

The pages are a very nice and heavy weight paper. The book cover is beautiful and is actually a cover that wraps around the book and can be removed. On the inside is a city scene that can be colored as well.

Some of the pictures have very tiny lines and spaces which make them a little difficult to color, however, this book seems to have a good range of pages that have varying levels of difficulty.

This is the first picture that we colored together and is my favorite in the book.

I look forward to coloring many more pages in this book with my daughter. It is a great way to relax and spend time together.

Coloring books have always been the craze, but now adults have their own books to play in. Adults can now place their own style into coloring without worrying if they go outside of the lines- when we mess up, it ADDS to the art, not ruin it! I enjoyed this book too, but I have to admit, it wasn't quite like my other coloring books.

Some of the drawings were so basic- I couldn't understand how critics gave Won-Sun Jang so mmuch hype. To me, my son could have created a couple of the cat scenes. I'm not going to lie though- I enjoyed coloring in it. :) It was still very cute- just not as detailed or as enchanting as some of the other coloring books I've colored in or have observed. As you can see in the video, they're adorable, but there seemed to be a lot missing.

Cats in Paris, A Magical Coloring Book, I hate to say, isn't as magical as 'they' made it to be. It's basic and for an adult book, it felt rather elementary. The photos weren't aesthetic and thought I did love a few pages, I will pass it on to my Ewoks. Maybe next time!

What’s better than cats? A colouring book full of them! Cats in Paris by Won-Sun-Jang is an absolutely fun and whimsical colouring book for adults full of lovely kitty illustrations. A cat makes his way through Paris for the first few pages in search of his home. The Parisian landmarks are well drawn and full of intricate details which are sure to provide hours of colouring with finely sharpened pencils.

After the first handful of pages, however, the illustrations swap over to large, sweeping patterns with cats in the forefront; the “in Paris” part of the book disappears. The paper is sturdy and smooth, likely allowing the use of watercolours, in addition to coloured pencils and crayons. It’s still a very cute colouring book, sure to provide stress and anxiety relief. Just, make sure you buy it for the cats and not for Paris and you’ll be well satisfied.

This is a delightful coloring book! There are pictures of cats in and around Paris such as the Eiffel Tower. They are frolicing in gardens and along city streets. There are plenty of pages to color of them at home curled up on the couch or a bookshelf.

There is a little story that goes along with the book that makes it more interesting to go through each page. The artist has also drawn several varieties of cats and given them names so they can be identified if you should happen to see them. I really enjoyed that feature.

The coloring pages themselves vary from complex to simple and I like that. Some days I like an easier picture to color and other days the more complex win out...it depends on my mood. I find coloring helps ease stress and relaxes me.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and would purchase another coloring book by this artist.

First off let me apologize for not posting more pictures for this coloring book review. Life has been crazy around here and I have not had a chance to stop and take photo’s to show all the pictures that this beautiful book has to offer.

I love the illustrations of this coloring book. I requested this because my youngest daughter loves cats and hopes to one day go to Paris. It combines two of her favorite things and it doesn’t disappoint. The cats are adorable and I think you will enjoy seeing the many different types of cats that are drawn throughout the book. I really wish there had been a bit more landscape photo’s with the more well known buildings in the background with the cats but that is ok.

I think for me this one will receive a 4 out of 5 stars review. The pages are nice and heavy so you can use many different types of media for your art. It’s a good quality book and well worth the money that you spend on it.

"Cats In Paris" is truly a magical coloring book. Although it comes under the category of Adult Coloring books, it clearly would be equally entertaining for the younger folk.

This book contains page after page of unique and quaint drawings of both attractions in Paris as well whimsical drawings of many varieties of cats.

Pages are devoted to the felines including: Abyssinian, Siamese, Black Silver Mackerel Tabby, Persian, Maine Coon, etc.

The book is well constructed with nice heavyweight paper. The only drawback is the designs are back to back. This book is not a good candidate for using markers that bleed through (alcohol markers). So stick to pencils with this one!

I am passing this book onto a friend of mine who adores Cats and is battling cancer. She will love it!

If you looking for a new adult coloring book, a rage that seems to be going on at this time, then this one might just be the one you are looking for!
The cover will draw you in, especially if you like cats, and books, and I can just picture a feline lying in amongst the books on a shelf. We have darling quotes and really sweet pictures, to color of course, but also to make you smile.
Once I got out my coloring tools, the only question I had was where to start, I saw many pages that my fingers itched to start coloring on, there are so many choices with 80 pages to choose from. Let your imagination go as you pick up your pencil, or crayon, and have fun.
You will not be disappointed here, such a magical coloring book!

Adult coloring books are becoming very popular. They are relaxing and soothing. So as a cat and book lover, I was thrilled to see this coloring book. It is pen and ink drawings of cats in their favorite places in Paris.

The cover is beautiful so I was excited to open the book. The first few pages are like the cover. They are from famous places in Paris, but also have cats on each page. I thought the drawings were sweet, but were a little heavy on the ink fill-ins, making it more difficult to color. But after the first 8 or so pages, there isn't even a hint of Paris. It's basic pages of prints and cats. There is a lot of repetition, heavy ink, or mostly empty pages. Even my daughter didn't want the book. I was really disappointed with the lack of details and simplicity.

I am definitely a fan of the new adult coloring book fad, because being an adult with a coloring book stash is now socially acceptable again. I'm so glad I got to add not only another beautiful + fun adult coloring book to my private stash, but one that is full of Korean artist Won-Sun Jang's absolutely beautiful feline-inspired artwork.

And my precious feline bebe, Becket, approves -- he loved watching me color in Cats In Paris, and even helped me pick out my colored pencils by rolling them around on the bed for me.

If you love adult coloring books, gorgeous + unique artwork, travel, or felines, this one is for you, friends.
