I love seeing Kreed and Alexandria’s feelings grow together in Book 2. I’m so glad Alex has Kreed to show her sweet attention when all she’s worked for becomes threatened, and I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 3.

First, I want to thank Kassandra Klay for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
Ambitious Despair is Book Two in the Ambition Serial of Kassandra Klay! An author and series that is becoming one of my favorite series I have read. If you have not read her first book you must!!! You will instantly fall in love with Alexandria and omg dreamy Kreed!! I hope you will agree with me that Nick is shady, creepy, and just frustrating!!!
I have a strong dislike for Nick in this book. He is a stalker, wont stop until he gets what he wants, is abusive verbally and physically, and just vulgar. He crossed the line with me in this book!! My heart went out to Alex with what she went through. Nobody let alone a co-worker should be put through this! Especially after something as stupid as this!!
I am so thankful that Alex has an amazing BFF in Charity whom also is a Lawyer. She was able to give her some good advice.
In this book we are introduced to a new character called Talon Claymore someone Alex met in college. They became friends before they became lovers. He was her first love. Now Kreed is her second love.
Note to readers: never mix pain killers and muscle relaxers together! You will have an interesting evening as Alex found out. You will also say things you shouldn’t say!
Kassandra sure knows how to write amazing sex scenes!
These books in the series are short fast reads that leave you wanting more! I cant wait to read and review the next book in the series for you!

This is book two in the Ambition series. It continues with Kreed and Alexandria’s story. Their attraction for one another is stronger yet she’s still torn about their relationship considering he’s her boss. What makes matters worse is Nick who thinks he can order Alexandria around so she wouldn’t mess up his chance with the promotion. I’m looking forward to the third book because you’re left wondering what will happen with their relationship after Alexandria reveals some vital information. A must read Novella.

I enjoyed this next part in the Ambition serial. I liked the interesting mix of sex, secrets and slight suspense. The plot thickens as we get to know the characters a little better. Things mentioned in passing in book 1 come up in this book creating previously unknown connections and I'm intrigued to see what the outcome will be. Also wondering how far Nick will go in his mission of torment over Alex, and what Kreed will do when it all comes to light.

I don't read many serials so this book has to be good if I am reading so many in a row. Sometimes when I do read serials, I think they are done too quick and not enough info to keep me reading on. In this serial, it is not the case for me. I do like the characters Kreed and Alex. I like that they are still in love but I still see more trouble brewing. Steaming but I enjoyed this one as well. *This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.*

I am enjoying Ambition serial. It makes me want to read the next book right away to see what is going to happen to Alex and Kreed. And how she will handle the Nick situation. Ambition serial is making me mad at the same time. Alex loves her job so much that she’ll continue having Nick as her co-worker.

Ambitious Despair is the second installment of Kassandra Klay’s Ambition serial.
I am still intrigued by the story line and interested in the main characters; however, I find the serial format tiresome. The story, which started out strong for me, is getting bogged down by the filler needed for the serial format.
I love how this provides the reader with insight into the motivations of all the players. While I’m still interested in the storyline, I think the pace is adversely impacted by the serial format. I would be much more interested in completing the story if it were edited and republished as a standalone novel.

REVIEW: 3.5 stars--AMBITIOUS DESPAIR is the second instlament in Kassandra Klay’s contemporary, adult AMBITION erotic, romance serial focusing on Kerrington Holding Investments finance manager, Alexandria Weston, and owner Kreed Kerrington.
Told from first person point of view (Alexandria) Alexandria is struggling to tell Kreed the truth about her co-worker Nick Adler. Things go from bad to worse as secrets are uncovered, and Alexandria is threatened both physically and sexually resulting in some serious injuries to our story line heroine. After consulting her best friend and attorney Charity Sinclair, Alexandria decides it is best to keep quiet about the threats against her life.
A little more of Alexandria’s back story is revealed including a possible connection that may or may not be of important consequence to her relationship with Kreed Kerrington, as well as a connection to Kerrington Investment Holdings.
The situation involving Alexandria’s co-worker is dangerous and life threatening, and in this I struggle to accept the attorney’ s advice including remaining silent about the events that have occurred. Kreed Karrington knows that something is wrong but our heroine refuses to acknowledge the danger and threats to her safety. A little bit of the TSTL (too stupid to live) syndrome I am caught between believability and frustration as to the events unfolding. The romance is quick to develop adding the probability that discovery would only make life a little more complicated for our story line heroine.
In all fairness, it is difficult to review a serialized story line (a full-length story divided into smaller instalments ). The writing style rarely changes due in part to the fact that a serialized story is a full-length story divided into smaller instalments; the world building usually continues at the same pace until something important violates the calm, therefore the only real changes occur with the unfolding of the story line events and the possible growth of the main characters which are revealed as the story moves along. A review with the final instalment is what will be necessary to acknowledge a complete breakdown of the serial with reference to emotional depth, pacing, concept and engagement, as well as grammar, editing and errors.

This story gets better the more I read. In this installment Alex and Kreed start to get closer. I must say that I have fallen for Kreed already, much like Alex. She can't figure out why she has allowed herself to fall so hard so fast and it scares her.
Kreed is a good man. He is kind, smart, caring and handsome. Top that off with some great sex and it is a no brainier. He's a keeper. I am very pissed with Alex right now for keeping secrets from him. It will not end well when he finds out.
That dag gone Nick is a full blown stalker with a bit of evil mixed in. I can't believe he laid hands on her! I wanted to drop into the book and go after him myself. I am looking forward to when his karma catches up to him.
Alex was so wrong for not telling Kreed about what happened. She should have at the very least told security. I am sorry, but no job is worth getting beat up on by your co-worker, especially not when your man is working just a few floors above you at the time of the assault.
Book 2 ends with a "Say What" moment. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Alex continues to deal with Nick who is getting more and more aggressive. The action is getting deeper as their relationship is explored. On the one hand I want to shout you stupid stupid girl do something but on the other I understand the issues she is dealing with. I was however surprised she hadn't taken pictures. On to the next. I am loving this serial and the characters for the most part. Nick needs to be strung up by his boys but Kreed is awesome. It will be interesting to see what happens after the reveal the book ended on.
Loving this author and her style. I can honestly say she doesn't let you down in each of the first two in the series. I am looking forward to more.

I am getting more and more hooked on the story of Alex and Kreed in this 2nd book of the Ambition series. Their relationship is developing more naturally in this novella as is the intensity of Alex’s work predicament. I am loving the non-stop suspense of their story and am diving right in to the next book!
