At times this novel was frighteningly realistic. Morgan developed the plot in such a manner that it was easy to picture. She used descriptions to her advantage, creating a whole that came to life. The novel itself was well written and intimately crafted. There were a few times where I found that the plot lagged a bit, getting caught up in a back and forth between the main characters that didn’t completely further the story itself. I found the plot really captured my attention when Garrison’s colleagues got involved. The plot thickened and I could finally really see it going somewhere.
The characters were engaging. I would have liked to know more about Kenderly’s past. It seems to play a large role in her reactions but I don’t know why. Garrison’s complete trust in his colleagues was refreshing. Together they were a fun filled pair that I quite enjoyed. The back and for the between them overshadowed the overarching plot a few times, but it was interesting.

As a whole, this was a fun novel with enough romance and suspense to keep me coming back for more. It was a good introduction into this new series and has left me wondering what will happen next.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

This is another new to me author and I'm glad I got the chance to review this high octane, fast paced, bullet dodging adventure at its finest! With sharp snappy dialogue, hero with a killer smile and cocky can-do attitude and a heroine with a stronger backbone than she gives herself credit for.

Garrison, Texas Ranger extraordinaire, is working undercover as a waiter at a Mafia shindig. He's there to extract some Mafia Wives but before he can get the job done, bullets start flying and his marks end up dead. A Sheer twist of fate prevents there being three dead bodies instead of two.

Kenderly (not so keen on the name I must admit) is the hairstylist of said Mafia wives and invited along to the shindig. When she is cleaning up in the bathroom, the killer strikes and almost executes her too but she is saved by a knight in a tux! As they make their way to safety Kenderly learns who Garrison really is and there begins their intense adventure.

Something for just about everyone to love: warring Mafia Clans, corrupt cops, handsome heroes and snarky, witty repartee between our hero/ine. Whilst Kenderly is clearly out of her depth she is more than willing to get stuck in and save her handsome hero, even whilst he's doing his best to get her OUT of trouble!

I read this in one sitting and am really looking forward to the others in the series!

If you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Bulletproof Badge is definitely the book for you.

From the very start this story moves along fast and frantically. This book was an absolutely fantastic. Garrison and Kenderly (uh, I do object to this name however. Its just downright weird) are the kind of couple that you really root for the whole way through. These two have the most fantastic chemistry together.

I loved the plot, two mafia families at war. The two wives that were clients of Kenderly were murdered at a party and she was a witness. Garrison saves her and the wild ride begins, and trust me things get wild and sometimes a bit weird, as they are chased down by the mob and the police.

One of the best scenes has them going out in disguise a little retro and Garrison makes a comment that sounds like he's saying he is a virgin. Try not to laugh out loud while reading that!

This is the type of book that you don't put down until the last page is turned because you want to find out what is going to happen next.

I don't think there has been a book from this Harlequin line that I've enjoyed as much as this one.

New series start featuring Texas Rangers. Good start to the series with Bulletproof Badge. Lots of drama, action, suspense and romance. It is a big chase as they figure out why and who to trust.

Garrison Travis is a Texas Ranger working undercover at a mob party. Kenderly Tyler is a hairdresser working on the hair of two mob families hair. While she is out of the room both ladies were murdered. She saw the killer but Garrison saved her life. They get out of the house with the mob chasing them.
Soon they are identified as the killers by everyone.

Garrison does not know who to trust. His boss who put him undercover has been shot. His friends are all in a different town.

good fun chases while falling in love. A couple of love scenes. I want to read more of Texas Rangers: Elite Troop.

I was given this ebook to read for free by NetGalley and Harlequin. In return I agreed to give a honest review of Bulletproof Badge.

This couple is on the run for four days. Only four days? It seemed as if it must have been a month as so much happened in a short period of time. I was caught up in the run for their lives immediately and did not want to quit reading until they were safe. I won this book from the author and am so happy that I did. I had forgotten how much I enjoy her books.

What a hoot this story was! Forget taking this tale seriously, and getting annoyed with 'TSTL' moments, because yes, there are some, but the sooner you accept that it is all just great fun and fantastic entertainment, and not to be taken too seriously, you are going to get a kick out of the tale.
To call Kenderly ditsy is taking it too far, but she lives up to every stereotype you might ever have had about a Texan hairdresser, whose salon is called The Best Hair House of Texas. Her spunk, her kind heart, strength, and loyalty are recommendable. She is so out of her element, but she is trying hard, doing all she can, and some of the time succeeding.
Garrison, the Texas Ranger, is on his first undercover assignment, and nothing goes as it is suppose to. He is a charmer by heart, his smile makes women swoon, no matter the age, but Kenderly sees right through all the facade, and calls his bull.
They are so much fun together, the sparks are flying, the chemistry is off the charts, and somehow, together, they manage to stay alive.
The action is non-stop, the corruption goes deep, there's only two people Garrison can trust within the law enforcement, but unable to get in touch with them. And somehow, the killers know where they are, at any given time, but calling 911 doesn't bring the help they expect.
It is a captivating story, humorous and thrilling. Towards the end the laughter comes less frequently, and the nail biting starts to take place, as the intensity grows. The ardor between Kenderly and Garrison is precious, maybe because of the constant danger to their lives.
Somehow the story reminded me of the old television series Moonlighting, I guess the older readers might know the series I am talking about. Pure, fun, entertainment, with several heart-racing moments to endure

It's no secret, I like the Harlequin Intrigues. I've been reading them since I was 12 years old and the 43 Light Street series was the hottest commodity they had. Angi Morgan's books blow those old books away.

Good lord, Garrison. Just...stop and think about the implied sexiness - Texas/southern boy, a Ranger, and undercover cop. I needed a fan just from the description of him, and then his actions while in the course of duty, as he fought against the temptation (losing of course) to sleep with his only witness (and for a while suspect), just made me fall in love with him. He's a truly good man and he literally is willing to sacrifice his life in the end to keep Kenderly alive.

Poor Kenderly. All she'd been trying to do was keep a couple of friends in touch, and then do their hair for a big party, and what happens? She witnesses the execution of the women she'd come to consider as friends, and barely avoids her own execution, only to be dragged onto the run by a man she's not initially certain is any better than the assassins who killed her friends.

Of course Garrison and Kenderly work through that all the while figuring out just why the women were killed to begin with. This case involved corruption in law enforcement, killers who want to clean up all the loose ends (aka Kenderly), and of course an entire squad of Texas Rangers who refuse to turn on one of their own.

I couldn't stop reading this book - I even (shhhh) read a few pages occasionally while I was working. Not my proudest moment, but I just had to know how this turned out.

It was oh. So. WORTH IT!

If you've never read Angi Morgan, but you like romantic suspense, then you need to read this. If you're a fan, why HAVEN'T you read this already? What are you waiting for, buy this book! It's awesome!

Way to go, Ms. Morgan!

In this first book of her Texas Rangers: Elite Troop series, Angi Morgan weaves an exciting manhunt involving an undercover Texas Ranger and the only witness he has available to the crimes he’s trying to bring to justice! They fight for their lives and attempt to outrun the hitmen hot on their tail!

To say Kenderly Tyler was in the wrong place at the wrong time is putting it mildly! Simply by happenstance, she is the witness to a heinous crime, and only Texas Ranger Garrison Travis is there to protect her. He gets her out of there and tries to keep her safe, but roadblocks keep sending them scurrying in different directions trying to stay out of the hands of the mobsters, and at the same time, trying to find out who’s behind all of the info getting leaked.

When attraction is too hard to resist, will these two be able to look forward to a future together when this is all over, or will too many lines have been crossed to allow them that freedom?

Five star read
This was an arc copy given for an honest review.

Fast paced running for their lives action throughout, bad guys at every turn. This kicks off from the first page and lasts almost to the end, when it settles a little bit. The two characters are attracted to each other fairly quickly and it builds almost as fast as the pace. Texas Ranger Garrison is under cover on a secret op, Kenderly is a hairdresser beautician just doing her job. Both get caught up in the middle of a mob war, cops, lawyers ect on the payroll. All he can do is try to keep them alive and get the evidence, whatever that is, to the only people he trusts. Lots of excitement to keep you reading this story, guns violence, car chases. Nothing not to like at all and its not a majorly long book so it can be read in a few hours, also not complicated so its a great read for traveling or a holiday read. But that’s not to say it isn’t good because it is.

This was my first time reading anything written by Angi Morgan, and I wasn't disappointed. Bulletproof Badge is a great mix of drama, romance, suspense and angst. This is a well written, fast paced read. I was thoroughly engaged with the story line of Garrison and Kenderly finding love in the most unusual of circumstances.
Garrison Travis is a Texas Ranger working undercover when he encounters Kenderly Tyler a witness to two murders. The pair are on the run fro the mob not knowing who to trust. They share a strong chemistry and connection that leads to some steamy love scenes. There are various twists and turns that keeps you thoroughly engaged with the plot and enthralled to the very end.
I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a romantic suspense, and I look forward to reading the other books in this series, although this book could easily be read as a standalone.

**SPOILER FREE**

No surprise of how good this book is! I mean look at who the author is! This author is completely amazing! Her work is to die for! I'm not all the big on romances by any means, but I do step out of my comfort to read them from time to time, especially by Angi Morgan. Not only is she giving you a romance but she throw a wrench it with some suspense! Each of her books has it's own story plot and characters that you'll love but don't take my word for it! Once you start these book by Angi you will fall in love and find yourself reading as much of her books as you can!

I was given this book and promised a honest review

Not much on Police stories, but this one was rather cool, Texas Rangers who ever thought they could be this good. Crime, death and passion do well together. Page after page I was pulled in further and further as Kenderly and Garrison fight for their lives, fleeing from the Mob and everyone who is on the Mob payroll.
It was fun reading and going through it page after page.
