Dragon of Legend: Destiny: Fantasy Dragon Adventure

Rate this book
For over a thousand years, the Lands have been under the mercy of ruthless evil rider Haiden and his ferocious black dragon. They rule with an iron fist, promising riches only to those who swear blind loyalty to them… but certain death to those who would dare defy their authority.

Every hundred years, however, a Rider and Dragon of Legend emerge and attempt to defeat Haiden and his dragon… but so far, not one has succeeded.

This time, Akira, an untrained and inexperienced girl of sixteen summers, is chosen by the new Dragon of Legend, as his rider. Together, the two find themselves thrust into a fate many see as a lost cause—challenging the most powerful rider and dragon in the realm.

With all odds seemingly stacked against them, will Akira and her dragon prevail… or will they share the same fate as all the other Riders and Dragons of Legend before them?

If you loved the fun and adventure of How to Train Your Dragon as well as smart-mouthed creatures, and good triumphing over evil, then Angelika Meyer's Dragon of Legend: Destiny is a book that will definitely tickle your fancy. So grab your copy now!

Raised by a perfectly normal family, Angelika developed a not so normal overactive imagination.

At the age of fifteen she became brave enough to share some of her works on a popular story site named Wattpad. Thanks to her readers and many amazing friends, her overactive imagination went into overdrive and she ended up writing even more than before.

A self-proclaimed sushi addict, Angelika spends her days furiously typing away while trying not to get distracted by squirrels.

Perhaps her love of fantasy has to do with the fact that she has lived in Zambia, Germany, and the US for multiple years, and has a hard time telling them apart.

Though Zambia will forever be home, Angelika can now be found travelling from one country to another as she searches for adventure... that’s if she’s not sitting in a Starbucks working on her next novel.

Absolutely love this book! The characters are well and intricately written and the plot line is fantastically displayed throughout the book. There is no dull moment and when you're not on the edge of your seat you're smirking and laughing to yourself with humor that doesn't take away from the seriousness of the book. I highly HIGHLY recommend this book and can't wait for the rest of the series!

This is an exciting book with wonderful characters. I found myself turning pages far into the night wondering what would happen to Akira. The banter between her and Redemption, her dragon is very funny, and even minor characters are three-dimensional. I highly recommend this book.

This book is everything you could want in a fantasy: a complex, interesting world, great characters and a great plot. You will fall in love with Akira, the main character, and you will not be able to put the book down.

This book will stay glued to your finger tips, you'll laugh and cry (sometimes both - for me at least), and your eyes with devour the book until you flip to the last page. Whether or not your a dragon fan, young or old, male or female, you will absolutely love this book. Expect to become emotionally attached to all of the characters, main, minor, and dragons.

If you want a book you won't be able to put down, grab this one. And trust me, you won't regret it.

This book is one of the best I've read about dragons. I wasn't such a huge fan of dragon fantasy books but this one got me interested about them.

I love the way that Akira and her dragon, Redemption, interact with each other. His sarcastic humor is definitely one of the highlights in this book.

I won't say too much because I don't want to be a spoiler. Just read the book! It's not boring at all.

I don't usually read fantasy books much less books about dragons. I decided to give this book a try and was surprised at how quickly I got into it. I was intrigued as to how things in this fantasy world worked and what would happen to the main characters. It is an easy and very enjoyable read. I HIGHLY recommend it and think it is also a great resource for reluctant readers!

The Dragon of Legend series is one of the most original dragon stories that I have read in a long time! There is a lot of action, adventure, and even a little bit of romance involved. All of the characters in this book are so well developed that it seems as though I really know them! I would love to see more of these Dragons and their Riders!!

I opened this book with the intention of reading only one chapter, only to look up six hours later, emotionally ruined. This book took me on a roller coaster ride. One moment it was funny, lighthearted and the next? Pure chaos. This wasn’t your typical fantasy, no. It was agony dressed in magic. I loved every minute of it.
AKIRA. I admired this girl’s will and determination, even when everyone doubted her worth, Akira stood her ground with fire in her veins and proved exactly why she was chosen.
REDEMPTION. One would think The Dragon of legend would be stern and overly serious with the weight on his shoulders, but not this dragon. This dragon never stopped amazing me AND make me laugh, he always seem to have the right things to say and even more right things to do in every situation. Even throwing Akira off the roof.
Saying I cried in this book is an understatement. This book made my chest hurt and when she died? I had to put the book down for a few minutes, not because it was bad or it was dull, no far from it. I had to put it down because my chest hurt too much and the tears were clouding my vision, yes it was that intense.
If you want fantasy with heart, pain, and characters who live inside your soul then read this. I’ll be sure to be front in line for book two.

Well written.

I first found this book on wattpad a few years ago. Back then it had many mistakes and other issues that were useless to the story itself. Once I heard she had it published, I had to reread it. The changes from the wattpad version to now, are astounding.

This book was written by a very young author. And I praise her on this book. It’s extremely imaginative, thrilling, and captivating. There were moments that brought tears to my eyes, and moments I caught myself smiling at.

I can’t wait to see what else this whimsical author comes up with.

I honestly love this book! I remember reading it for the first time years ago on Wattpad, and it was just one of those books you go back and read again and again purely for enjoyment. I went back to read it online again and I found out it was published! I was so excited and immediately bought a copy - which I just read through and it’s still just as enjoyable and fun as it was the first time I read it!
