Wherever Naomi goes, she struggles to prove herself. Small and pretty, she walks onto a ranch and no one takes her seriously. Her dearest friend keeps telling her that her boyfriend Justin's all wrong for her, but she can't seem to let him go, until he finally shows her who he really is.
Clint is six feet of rugged cowboy, with muscles that work almost as hard as as he does. Raw and grieving the loss of his parents, a USDA inspector is the last person he wants on his struggling ranch.
Fate throws them together, all hard edges and flashing eyes.
How long will their pride stand in the way of their passion?
Naomi is an inspector for the USDA. She goes to ranching to do the inspections. Sometimes she is pushed around a bit because she is a small petite woman and men think that she shouldn't be doing the job. When she goes to inspect Clint Cannon's ranch she is fascinated by his beautiful eyes, but he is a grump and he speaks very little. Over a couple of days she really sees some different sides to Clint and she really likes him and he tells her he likes her too. This is a really sweet shorter story. It does contain some sex so it isn't for all.
Too bad explicit sex had to be used by the author thinking it made for a better sale. Story line was good though some scenes came on so fast (like first time you meet a man you are talking about wanting sex?) No, I am not a prude but slow would be better. Built it up instead. And several errors (she takes off her sundress and all her clothes and gets into bed, he gets naked and then "takes off her jeans and underwear - huh?) Couple of other errors just as blatant, proof reader didn't. Stopped reading -
I really liked this story, but ended up being confused. Don't want to spoil anything, but an event happened....and then suddenly the characters is taking about doing that event again! I went back to make sure I hadn't missed anything, and I hadn't. It's like the author wrote two different scenes and forgot to take one out. Then the ending is very abrupt. Story really had promise...too bad!
Had so much potential and then things got jumbled, mixed up and then it seemed as if the author wasn't sure where to go with the plot and tied it up in a will you marry me HEA. Unless this is a cliffy, which I doubt. So confused

It was a great book, except for the fact that it had a lot of typos and the fact that she continued to go to work after being fired, and quite a few unanswered questions.
Clint and Naomi. Written in first person, she has too much sex with the guy that was cheating on her. Didn't feel like I knew either main character. I had to force myself to finish the book. Started skimming at 80%, gave up at 97%.
I thought it had promise until I started finding inconsistancies in the storyline. I can skip over spelling errors or sentences missing words, but when one chapter clearly states Naomi was fired and the next chapter has her back at work like the previous chapter never happened. WTF?!?
The idea behind the story was interesting but I thought the execution was poor. The tone was uneven and choppy, and towards the end the plot just got confusing. Disappointing.
