I watched the anime of this manga series years ago and having finished the original source now, I can't help but be shocked at how badly the anime fumbled this story. Leaving that aside, I think this is a really amazing trans sapphic story. Especially the last two volumes were truly great. Perhaps it wasn't always perfect. Like, her male best friend giving of chaser vibes being played of as something I'm supposed to find funny for example. This was never about him though. If one were like willing to keep both eyes half closed, one could even argue, that he gets some character development.

Other than that, this manga briefly tackles a trans person's cis friends and family dealing with one's transition in a really respectul manner, self-doubt, gender euphoria, cuteness and mortality. Adored it a great deal. Could def talk about this in a very long review, but I don't feel like it : P

This is the last volume in the series. Hasumu takes a path at Yasuna's. Tomoari gets mad and wants Hazumu to take a bath at her place. Jan-Pu has an idea relating to Hazumu's thoughts. The main question, though, is whether or not Hazumu is going to die at the end of thirty days or possibly whether or not the ship itself with the alien male might be able to pull off something at the last minute to keep Hazumu alive. The issue of who Hazumu actually loves is finally settled.

(Note: This is a review of Vol.1-5 )

Since I own the anime and have watched it several times I thought I already knew what to expect, but I was wrong. The overall story is the same, but there's many significant changes, especially on the way everything leads to the ending (which was very cute and a lot more satisfying than in the anime because of the way it was portrayed) although the beginning seemed a little too fast-paced which made it hard to process the whole crazy situation, IMO (and Yasuna acted veru stalkerish) but the rest of the story developed pretty well, even the aliens and minor characters became likable!
Nice read for anyone who's on the mood for some cute shoujou-ai and love-triangle drama.

The final two volumes and with it some drama and stress because our MC only has one month to live. What will she do? Who will she choose? How will she spend those last moments? I really loved these two volumes despite the heaviness/darkness that hung over it all. Our MC has a choice to make and while I wasn't a fan she didn't let her friends know (they found out through sensei/the alien), I could also somewhat understand it. She already went through a hecking lot, and to add death to it? I would also flail and just try to go day to day. I am very happy how it all ended and who she choose.
I did have to say that Yasuna has grown on me. I am still not 100% a fan of her, but she was less clingy in these volumes and gave the MC a bit more space.

It is not the ending I had hoped for, but it is the ending that I probably should have expected. Also, awwwwwww!
