I actually didn't use this much; I generally just wing it my first time through a game and then use a guide to try and find all the stuff I missed the next time I play it. Which...there might not actually be a next time for this one? I'm pretty disappointed in it, so I guess we'll see if time mellows my opinion of it. :(

Anyway, this guide seems...adequate, but definitely not excellent. So it goes with most Tales guides! There are maps, but they're not always terribly clear, and the organization seems really weird to me. Ah, well. I will hope for better things all around from Berseria.

Also, who am I kidding? I liked the characters, I liked the world, and Tales games are my jam, so yeah. I will definitely play this again someday. I might just...have to read a bunch of Zestiria fan fiction to find an ending I like more than the actual one in the mean time--ha!

When this came out (last year?) I tried playing this game 3 times or so and one time I played for a few days but my problem is the battle system. I love the battle system of The Tales games don't get me wrong and my favourite Tales game is my first which was Graces. I loved the story and the battles but it always takes me a time to get used to it.


This time it is crazy. I have to read nearly a book to get to understand the strategies. I do not want to read when i game. I also do not think the tutorials are very good. Of course I will keep on trying but this is the first Tales game where I really find it hard.

I love love Tales of Xillia. One and Two. Some things I am good at like with leia and her staff and with Jude front stepping or was it back. Love that so I hoped this game just needed more time. But 3 times of trying.
