Pack up the sleeping bags for a camping trip with Peppa, complete with a camper van full of surprises.
Peppa Pig and her brother, George, are very excited. They’re going on vacation! This time Daddy Pig has borrowed a camper van that has its own sink and beds and a roof that lifts up. It also turns into a boat they can take on the river. Even more fun are the nature activities Peppa enjoys with her family, like visiting swimming ducks, spotting wildlife on their walks, building a campfire, and pitching Daddy’s old tent. But best of all are the shooting stars they see in the night sky as they’re falling asleep!

As Neo recently returned from a camping excursion, I was sure this would be the perfect story. Mummy and Daddy Pig decide to take Peppa and George out for some camping, both under the stars and in a camper van. Peppa learns all about the joys of camping life, from cooking on a fire to walking in the woods. She and George have all sorts of fun and develop a keen interest for nature. Neo says that some of the Peppa adventures are similar to the things he did while camping. He did, however, criticize the lack of food options, thinking that she would have had more fun trying new things, like s'mores!
My youngest two girls love, love, love Peppa Pig. I appreciate that there are Peppa books. Because this was also a Peppa-sode, my kids were familiar with the story. My thirteen year old Bella read it aloud and did a great job with the posh London accent while Nicolette (my 4 year old cutie with Down Syndrome) supplied the steady stream of oinks.
Peppa Pig and her family go on a camping trip using a camper van, that daddy borrows. They visit duck land, enjoy a picnic, take a hike in the woods, and sleep out under the stars in a tent. Fun was had by all.
Peppa and her family spend some time out in nature. Kids get a look at what a camping trip might be like, with some silly antics, situations, and, of course, ducks.
A longer than usual entry into the peppa pig series finds the pig family going camping. I loved the book for it's whimsical and fun nature and it tries to show so many sides of camping but its imaginary and not a realistic camping trip but this family is so cute in everything they do.
