The Stinky Cheese Caper (And Other Cases from the ZPD Files)

The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery. Boys and girls ages 6 to 9 will love this book of original stories based on Disney Zootopia, in theaters on March 4, 2016.

This is a mystery Kids/Junior novel going on around two months after the film of Zootopia/Zootropolis.
So now, Judy and Nick work together everyday at Zootopia Police departament :D

It has surprised me. It is very accurate to the characters and setting of the movie and very interesting story.
Plus Judy and Nick are SO cute together!!

"I love this part of the job."
"Chasing the bad guys?" Judy asked.
"No, turning on the siren."

A cute little addition to the Zootopia movie. The characters are true to form and could almost picture this as a series of episodes. Definitely a quick and fun read.

Being such a fan of the movie Zootopia, needless to say I'm all for stories that involve "the further adventures of" our heroes. This one is definitely for kids, but it's still a fun little mystery and the writer has the characters and the setting down well. Of course *Spoiler Alert!* he is cheating a bit: It's not really "four stories", it's four CHAPTERS of one long mystery. But it works fine like that. I love how it not only hearkens back to the movie, it also expands on the universe the movie created. Having illustrations from Cory Loftis (one of the movie's main character designers) is a big plus too!

I am Zootopia trash, and I do not care who knows it. This is a cute book showing off how Nick and Judy are getting on now that they're partners in crime-fighting. There's even still a lot of social justice concerns in this surprisingly sophisticated set of cases. Also the illustrations are adorable.

This book is straight-up for kids, unlike the movie which was written to appeal to adults too. The stories in this book aren't particularly good, but I liked the experience of reading it anyway because it showed mammals and neighborhoods that weren't in the movie.

This story was just too adorable! A great little extra snippet you get to read about Nick and Judy and their life after the movie.
