Fast Lane, the debut book from Lizzie Hart Stevens is sensational! This fast paced, sinfully sexy, lust filled story will leave you:
1. Head over heels in love with Coen
2. A HOT mess from the sex scenes
3. Desperate to read the next part.

Fast Lane, is fresh, a total breeze to read and thoroughly enjoyable. Lizzie has managed to perfectly bring the characters together, making you feel the lust and connection that burns from Lexi & Coen...the story flows into a magnificent peak that I actually didn't see coming. Fast Lane is addictive, so much so that I finished within 3 hours! Roll on book 2!!!

”Running into a person three times in one day can’t be a coincidence.”

This wasn't a winner for me...

description

Well shoot this is a fast affordable read but sadly it's pretty much the same old for me. Lexi breaks up with her crappy boyfriend and meets Coen the hot tatted, bearded, drag racer. They fall into immediate lust.

This short story is told in alternating POVs. Coen’s POV is pretty much all through his smaller head and then once he gets the girl he’s all:

”I can’t commit to anyone. No matter how bad I want her. Need her. I just can’t. I let my guard down, and I shouldn’t have. Fuck!”

So there you go, they run into one another (odd that they never meet before since they have two friends in common) and drag race, have a night of passion, and then BAM cliffhanger ending. Odds on me picking up next installment at the moment are pretty slim.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Come take a ride in the Fast Lane!!! This book is smoking hot with a tattooed bad boy, hot cars, danger, and scorching sex!! I absolutely loved this book and it's original storyline like no other!! I'm still hot just thinking about it!

Come and meet the hot, tatted, bad boy racer, Coen who is sure to melt your panties! He sets his eyes on Lexi, who is fresh out of an emotionally abusive relationship and is hell bent on staying away from men but with Coen popping up in her life everywhere, who can resist?!!
Little do either of them know what lies behind the corner!

This is an astounding debut novel for Lizzie Hart Stevens and she has this one knocked out of the park!!!

Can a story both be so sexy it's sinful but soulful at the same time? Guess there's a first time for everything, so here I introduce to you guys - FAST LANE.

A story that I never thought I would love so much, yet here I am, trying to figure out how within 72 pages, my heart was broken, tears are still drying on my cheeks, I'm smiling like an idiot at all the sexiness + alpha male all round perfection of Coen, and worst of all? That fucking cliffhanger that seriously has me in THE biggest book hangover. I just can't let go of those two. I need the next part like I need that cup of coffee that has been staring at me all morning.. Ugh!

So. Fucking. Good.

End off.

Before you go any further, get your ass up and grab your copy. Go. Now!!

I know it's weird but for some reason (God knows what that could be..) I felt like I knew the characters for months if not years. Just from a couple of sentences, the author created a way of understanding the characters background, thoughts, decisions, ideas and EVERYTHING in between through mere. 73. fucking. pages. I mean seriously!

I've read plenty of short books/novellas. They aren't really my thing but I try to give it a go every once in a while. With Fast Lane, I was worried that it would turn out like another lack-luster, underdeveloped, story that has everything but what makes it a memorable read. I couldn't have been further from the truth. It's like thinking chocolate wouldn't taste nice... Exactly right?

Now that I've had the opportunity to read this gorgeously interesting, fun, suspenseful and overall, a 5-star hands down read? I think I wont hesitate for a second when it comes to books by Lizzie Hart Stevens

Sexy.

Deliciously good.

SINFULLY drool worthy.

Suspenseful.

Fun.

Easy read.

Perfect character development.

Just too good not to delve into it heart and soul. Addicted.

I'm a mess but I couldn't how been more grateful that Lizzie Hart Stevens was able to provide an ARC! THANK YOU!

If you are looking for an easy read that will both break your heart into shards of little pieces that you can never fix?

If you want something so deliciously sinful it will make even the most experienced of New Adult/Erotica readers blush?

I think you know where I might be headed with this? Take a guess.. :)

Coincidences happen for a reason right? Well, delve into Fast Lane and see for your self.

Coen Walker and Lexi Taylor's story will for sure leave you with all the reasons of wanting more. So. Much. More.

Now. Time for a glass of wine before I can even think about getting to the next book...

In this debut novel, Lizzie, reminds readers what it's like to have realistic characters. Some of the greatest moments in this installment stem from Lexi's internal dialogue, the bond between best friends, and the struggle of breaking out of comfort zones. Fast Lane is refreshingly original and scorching hot.

Strong female characters are hard to come by and that's exactly what Lexi Taylor is. She isn't a female lead who is easily swayed or begins losing her strong qualities once she meets her male lead. Nope, Lexi is true to herself the entire book. And who doesn't love a tattoo sporting, chuck wearing, whiskey drinking, sassy woman?

As for Coen Walker? One word: ADONIS.

What the hell is up with cliffhangers in books where's my Heas? Anyway let's talk about what made me happy, and Coen sure made me happy, like very very happy. Coen is hot, has tattoos, sexy, did I mention the tattoos? He can be really flirty and his flirty is sexy, “you wouldn’t ever have a reason to say you’re sorry while sitting on me, Lexi. I would make damn sure of that.” Coen seriously thinks highly of himself, “I know I’m effing sexy as hell, Lex, but get that sweet a** of your in the shower or we’ll both be late.” Hopefully we won't have to wait long for part two.

Rev up your engines, as Fast Lane is a riveting, raw, and racy read that gets your motor running, driving you crazy with desire all the way to the finish line. Lizzie Hart Stevens’ debut novel is fresh and fun, delivering lots of sizzle splashed with a little suspense. Fast Lane’s writing is sound and good, and, with a few tweaks, will easily translate into witty and wonderful. A well-planned plot coupled with characters comprised of charisma and chemistry translate into a solid start for this new author on the cusp of greatness.

Lexi is a sassy, sexy, and smart siren with red hair, a curvy body, and beautiful brown eyes. Done with her boyfriend, Patrick or more like P**rick, acting like a Grade A Annoying A-hole who throws tantrums around like a toddler and frightens her with his flashes of crazy, it’s time to go solo and focus on Lexi time.

After laying eyes on the most panty-melting man she’s ever seen in the restaurant where she works, Lexi time has come to a halt. Holy hot Coen! Mr. Delicious Drag Racer is nearly six and a half feet of sex on legs, incredible ink, gorgeous green eyes, and a killer body that makes him delicious man candy that you want to immediately unwrap.

Coen is a playboy and premier panty player. Bang and bolt. Sex with no strings except maybe a bit of rope.

“I don’t chase after women. They chase after me. I don’t have time for all that flowers and candy and cuddles bulls**t. Besides, when you give someone your heart, it opens up the chance for to lose a piece of it.”

When Lexi and Coen first meet, insta-chemistry ignites as the force field of electricity surrounds them.

“I feel his finger graze my arm ever so lightly. It sends shivers up my spine, and sets my insides on fire. Why does this man, who I’ve only just met, make me so damn crazy?”

Lexi, along with a trio of run-ins chalked up to fate, has the playboy racer thinking of the possibility of more.

“My heart starts racing about as fast as my Hellcat. This girl does things to me that I haven’t felt in a really long time, and that scares the sh*t out of me, but I can’t stay away.”

Trouble is stirring that may make Lexi and Coen crash and burn before they even make it near the finish line.

Drag racing, an evil aunt, a crazy ex, a sexy siren, and a trio of tantalizing man candy make for a book that will definitely hold you captive and have you competing for a spot in the Fast Lane. I can’t wait to see what Lizzie Hart Stevens stirs up next, as racing in the Fast Lane is surely addicting.

What a fast, hot, sexy, and an adrenaline packed ride Miss Stevens will take you on!! Fast Lane is her debut release and I have quickly become a fan!
Lexi Taylor is fresh out of a relationship and not looking for anything new. Until that is, when she keeps running into Coen Walker. Bad boy, tats, and single. Coen is not looking for a relationship. He's the love em and leave them type. Up until he sees Lexi. And then his world is shifted! These two have more in common other than their sex driven thoughts. And speaking of sex..holy HOT!! Will Lexi and Coen be able to work through their issues and baggage. I sure hope so, because these two are perfect for each other!!
And then we get to that ending...yeah. Was NOT expecting that!!! So you better be writing Miss Stevens. Because I need part 2!!!
Make sure you 1-click this hot little read today!!

This book was...not good. Same old formula - girl breaks up with boy, meets H the next day right after he washes off the previous night's chick, they feel some unknown connection, relationship moves at warp speed, etc. etc.

I thought this book could have used more details. The drag race was just glossed over. I thought it was a missed opportunity for them to get to know each other. Lexi didn't question what he did for a living and he didn't seem particularly surprised or impressed that she was the one racing him. It was odd. It'd be different if this was a novella but it's not, it's an installment series. So there's no excuse to move so fast.

And that ending. Ugh. We don't have enough information to even have a guess what that was about. And I don't really care enough to find out. I'm sorry but this book was super cheesy.

I dont usually read novellas unless they are spin off's from novels I have read previously.

But i have to be honest and say this is the first time I have read anything by this author and wow this author can pack a lot into a novella. Now I have read book one I cant wait to read book 2.

We meet newly single Lexi who has just gotten out of a abusive relationship with her ex boyfriend Patrick and is looking forward to some Lexi solo time.

The way she is described she is one hot looking lady. She is doing her shift in the restaurant where she works and its just a normal day till a hot, tattooed 6ft plus drag racing driver walks into the restaurant.

Step forward drag racer Coen who is the ultimate party boy, has women throwing themselves at him and of course he gives them what they want but as soon as the deed is done he casts them aside and moves onto the next one. When Lexi comes over to his order Coen cant take his eyes off her and is looking for his next notch on the bed post but gets the shock of his life when he feels a electricity generate between them both.

Fate decides to play a helping hand for them after a series of 3 accidental run ins Coen decides that fate must be bringing this girl into his life for a reason. The only thing Coen knows is that he hasn't felt this way for a girl for a long long time and its scaring the crap out of him. But rather than away Coen knows even he tried he would not be able to stay away from Lexi

Lexi has just broken up with her boyfriend Patrick. She's tired of dealing with his bad temper and moods swings and ready for a change.

Lexi first runs into Coen at the diner with her best friend where he introduces himself and buys her lunch. Later, she sees him again at the tattoo parlor. Coen makes it pretty clear he's interested, but Lexi isn't ready to give in. When she runs into him a third time on the same day, she finally gives in and agrees to meet him that night at his street race. After all, it has to mean something right?

Coen is sexy, tattooed and edgy. He's a one-night-only kind of guy, but something about Lexi feels different to him. He actually wants to spend time with her and feels protective. Lexi is a sweet character, yet she's not one to sit back and be pushed around. This story ends on a cliffhanger, however the conclusion, Can't Slow Down, has already been released.

Lexi and Coen are smoking hot in part one of the new series by debut Author Lizzie Hart Stevens. I was pulled into this story form the beginning and am very intrigued where it will go next. After three chance encounters in one day, hot rod Coen and Fiesta Lexi decide to finally give into their desires. Lexi is just fresh off a break up with Patrick and Coen is drawn to her in more ways than he wants to be. What he wants is a quick and easy way to have her and move on, but what he doesn't expect is to want her more than that one time. Of course we have a cliffhanger that leaves this series open to go who knows where from here. What will happen to Lexi? Is Coen ready to give a relationship a try? Can their mutual attraction fight off the road blocks that lay in their way? I can't wait to find out what Lizzie has next for them!

I superb debut novel!!

I went to this story blind. I have read the blurb but it was so long ago that I didn't remembered what the story was about. The only thing I remember it was that it has cars involves and that was IT for me.

description

The pace was great, it is a short read, so its understandable that things escalate more rapidly than in a novel. That said I would have love a little more tension between the main characters before things get hotter but, lets be honest who could resist a bad boy Coen after the day that Ally had.

So great job Ms. Hart!!! Now give next book because that was an mean cliffy!!!

I loved Lexi! A sassy & bold heroine who decides both her car and life belong in the fast lane. Finally a heroine who doesn't spend half the story playing hard to get. Meet my new best friend! Coen is a sexy, mysterious stud who knows how to handle a stick too, if you know what I mean. Stir in a jealous, crazy ex-boyfriend and things get interesting. These characters aren't recycled, sterotypical romance types. They have unique and intriguing qualities that draw you in. Very much looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a quick, good read. I loved the duel POV those are my favorite type of books to read. I felt the storyline was good. Be warned there is a cliffhanger and it is a good one! Let's just say I will definitely be reading the second one.

Coen is a sexy tattooed guy who loves to race. I have a feeling something went down in his past to make him keep women at bay and I can't wait to find out what that is.

Book two oh how I need you ASAP.

Who doesn't want a tatted up bad boy who's a softie on the inside! Or a hot redhead with tattoos that's a little sassy! Lexi and Cohen run into each other 3 times in one day....Is it coincidence or fate that brings them together? From the first there is heat between the two, and I loved the way Lexi didn't understand why he would want her....This book definitely kept me up past my bedtime finishing it and now I can't wait to start the next part! This is one of the best reads I've had in a while!

Fast Lane is a short story written in dual POV and part one of a two books series.

The main characters:

I'm not really into short stories, but this one was an awesome surprise. After breaking up with a shitty and abusive boyfriend, Lexi has sworn off men.

"I don't have time to be dealing with another needy, whiny asshole that is just going to break out at me over random things that piss him off. It's time to focus on myself for a change."

That's when she meets Coen, our average tattooed bad boy who jumps from an one night stand to another. However, the moment Coen puts his eyes on Lexi he can't stop thinking about her and it doesn't get better as they keep crossing paths. As the story goes, it starts getting hotter as they doesn't seem to be able to keep their hands off one another:
"I cup her face in my hands and pull her back into a slow, passionate, soft kiss. Gently, I part her lips with my tongue while slowly sliding my hand up her thigh and teasingly brushing my fingertips under the seam of her shorts. [...] She lifts herself up, never breaking our kiss, and positions herself so that her pussy is right on top of my shaft, and teasingly gyrates her hips."

Even though Lexi is hot for the guy, she finds herself in doubt, both wanting to jump Coen and run for the hills. And boy, does he make it hard to get away:
"Last chance to say no, Lex, because once we're inside that house there's no turning back."

"I hope you're ready for the ride of your life, Sweetness. Hold on tight."

Then it's just like:
 photo 11462872.gif
And only gets better:
 photo 11702767.gif
And better:
 photo 10559697.gif
The guy is hot and I kid you not. You'd think at some point he'd make it easy on her, right? Wrong!
"She's looking everywhere in the room but at me. It's making her uncomfortable because I'm naked. Cute."

But Coen also has this thing about him that keeps me heavy breathing. At the same time he's all hot and bossy, he starts developing this sweet side of him that sometimes I feel missing in an erotic novel, like:
"'Jesus, Lex.' He takes my face in his hands and places his forehead against mine, closing his eyes. And then he starts to laugh [...].
'You're just so fucking beautiful, Lexi, even when you're talking with your mouth full of food.'"

 photo 797015.jpg

Unfortunately it ends with a cliff, so the reading of the next book's mandatory, it's a very fresh and easy reading, though. The story isn't all that complex but has a charm of it's own, so if you're looking for a romantic novel with hot scenes, that's your guy. I'd highly recommend this book for an afternoon reading.

Instalove meets fate and rushes off to make babies in this enjoyable debut from Lizzie. It's an enticing plotline - drag racing combines with an unexpected romance after Lexi dumps her potentially abusive boyfriend (we'll come back to this). I love fast cars, I love sex, and I love strong heroines who aren't afraid to go after what they want - and thus I settled in for a fun and easy story.

Coen is a hot, sexy, tattooed & somewhat vulnerable alphamale who can't understand his feelings that so suddenly rush him when he meets Lexi. The attraction is immediate and the coincidental run-ins with her have him shaking his head and thanking fate. Coen's your typical wham-bam-thank-you-m'am kind of guy - the no relationship kind - the I'm going to be an asshole on purpose so you don't ever call me again kind. But something about Lexi makes him want to keep her for more than a night...makes him want to change his ways. I LOVE A REFORMED MANWHORE. swoon.

Lexi's a bit of a conundrum to me. I felt that the break-up-with-the-boyfriend part happened too fast. I wasn't sure what to make of him. Without providing spoilers, I didn't feel that the beginning scenes in which I saw him allowed me to understand the whole picture of their relationship. It didn't seem to justify or explain his later actions - I wanted to know a little bit more of his backstory to make things fit. Regardless, Lexi kicks him to the curb and I couldn't have been happier.

Of course, she immediately (and I mean, uhhh, basically immediately) falls into the arms of the ever delicious Coen. Which was fine - really, I love instalove. But I felt that their connection wasn't quite...there. This book is plagued by exclamation points, which often makes me lose connection and feel that things are being forced, so that was likely part of my problem. The dialogue occasionally didn't flow well to me - something just felt a little off, even though I so wanted it to be right. Similarly, there was somewhat important character developing information that popped up in scenes that made me wonder 'what?! When did I miss that?! Did I know that?!'

Regardless, I loved the spark that they felt with each other and the out-of-control thoughts that spin through Coen's brain as he tries to wrap his head around his feelings for Lexi. He is definitely in hot pursuit of her - and is willing to protect her no matter the cost...even if he's sacrificing his heart. The secondary friends in this book were well placed. The relationship between Brea and Lexi was sweet, honest and a total sisterhood. Her voice of (mostly) reason was light & pretty funny. Give no fucks, Brea. Give. No. Fucks.

The sex is steamy, sinful and completely memorable. I'd like at least one night with Coen, too. SIGH. This novella ends in a cliffhanger that you may have predicted, but that still made my heart beat with the need to know what happens nextttttttt. I'm so looking forward to more from Lizzie!

This is one fast paced and thrilling read. The premise of this book is what reeled me in, I mean really a tattooed hottie coupled with racing and a sassy femal lead. But it was Lizzie's writing that kept me hooked and turning pages without pause. I actually read this book in one sitting I was so enraptured in what was happening.

Coen and Lexi have both decided that relationships are not for them. While Lexi decides that she needs a break from men completely, Coen is content with casual hookups that lead to nothing meaningful. But when fate decides to intervene and put the two of them in each other's paths, not once but three times in a day, can they deny the sizzling attraction between them and perhaps miss out on something amazing?

Ok, I have to admit that I went into this book with a preconceived notion. What I expected and what I got were actually two different things. Where this book went, with elements of suspense, was not what I thought was going to happen.

I really enjoyed both Coen and Lexi in this book. While Coen is portrayed as your typical hot, cocky bad boy in the beginning of this book, he ends up being so much more. The best was to describe the way that he responds to Lexi is magnetic. When he needed to, he stepped up to the plate.

Lexi's sass made her very likeable. That she was no push over falling at the feet of a hot guy the first chance she got was a refreshing change. She is a woman that can hold her own when needed.

I loved the build up of tension between Lexi & Coen. While it wasn't very drawn out, Lizzie did an awesome job of sucking me into the chemistry that I was totally okay with the speed that everything happened. If you are a reader that needs a slow burn, rather than a hot and firey passion, then this is not the book for you. And when they did finally come together, it was explosive.

Overall, this was a quick and easy read that drew me in and made me invested in what was going to happen next. Of course, I must warn there is a cliffhanger (as it is a first book in a series) and it is a doozy but it has just built the anticipation of wanting to know what happens next. I cannot wait for book 2.

I recommend this book to fans of instant, blinding, sizzling attraction; hot tattooed men and woman that can hold their own. A solid debut from Lizzie and I can't wait to see what she is able to do next.

Fast Lane is the debut novel from Lizzie Hart Stevens, and I really enjoyed it. This one is very short and it does end with a cliffhanger, so readers should prepare themselves for that before starting. I thought that Lizzie did a great job of kicking off her Consumed By Love series here, and I am really looking forward to reading more from her.

Lexi Taylor and Coen Walker feel an instant attraction to one another, but neither of them are looking for a relationship. But when they run into each other three times in one day, they start to believe that something is pushing them together and it is more than just a coincidence.

I really liked both Lexi and Coen. Coen was sexy and edgy, but he also had this whole other side to him. I feel like there is so much more beneath the surface with him that is just waiting to be discovered. With the length of this story, we are really just beginning to scratch the surface, and I can't wait to learn more about him. It is clear there is a reason that he keeps himself so locked up, and Lexi is already beginning to get under his skin. Lexi is great, and I really enjoyed her friendships and seeing her personality come through. She is smart and strong, and one of those heroines that you just instantly like. She had so much chemistry with Coen right away, and I can't wait to see more of the sparks between these two.

With this one being so short and ending with a cliffhanger, I don't want to give too much away. But with how this story ended, I am already anxious for the next installment. I really loved Coen and Lexi together, and I can't wait to get more of these two. I loved the secondary characters, and I am really excited to get to know them better as well. I think that this was a really great debut for Lizzie Hart Stevens. Fast Lane instantly drew me in and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. I will be keeping an eye out for more from Lizzie in the future, and I would definitely recommend this one for anyone looking for something short and sexy.

Burn rubber and bring the man a prize!

Lexi Taylor has sworn off men—why make an effort if you’re never gonna do it right?

But then she meets Coen Walker, not once but three times in the same day. He’s edgy, reckless, guarded and protective. From the first time he sees her he has to have her. He wants her and he won’t give up until she agrees to give him a chance and spend just one night with him.. (Amazon blurb)
Half way through, I remember groaning and remember saying out loud to my husband (who by now, I must mention, is seriously tired of listening of my talking about books but still does), that I would be so angry if this book would end in a cliffhanger. At that point it was simply a hunch - Lexi and Coen had just met, three times, Patrick had his heart ripped out and served on a silver platter (I really enjoyed that part), and we know that Lexi and Brea are best friends. Ok, so the last point was moot, but I can't ruin all the good parts if the book, otherwise, what would be the point in reading it, right? Anyways, that hunch I had, well, let's just say that Fast Lane has just become part One of what I have dubbed the 'Lexi Coen Series' (or the Consumed by Love) by Lizzie Hart Stevens. What will I do about it?! Well one thing is for sure, I'll be knocking on this author's door every so often to find out when part two, Can't Slow Down, because it was worth the time reading. The characters are protective, hilarious, and oh so tempting and drool-worthy. For a first time reader of Lizzie Hart Stevens, I can say, without a doubt, that I'll follow her series from now on and becoming one of my favourites.

What a phenomenal debut novel! Lizzie Hart Stevens draws you in with the prologue. You just know that there will be something exciting to come. This is a fast-paced, suspense-filled novel that does not disappoint!

Lexi is a fiercely, independent women who is one tough cookie, and is fed up with her moody, borderline-abusive boyfriend. After she finally finds the courage to dump him, she meets a sexy, tattooed stranger the next day, not once, not twice but three times! Fate has put them in each other's paths.

Coen is a love 'em and leave 'em type of guy. He never sleeps with the same woman twice, and he certainly never lets them sleep over. He's an arrogant pr!ck about it, because he's emotionally locked away. I can't wait to find out what makes him tick. He loves fast cars, and he rides them hard and fast, just like his women!

Lexi's ex, Patrick, shows up at a drag race and is belligerent towards Lexi. Coen doesn't take this well.

Lexi and Coen are leary about getting together, but they just can't keep their hands off each other! And sparks fly! Coen doesn't know how to handle these unexpected feelings he has for Lexi, and she can't understand them either. It's supposed to be just one night, but fate has a way of working in a funny way.

The cliffhanger definitely leaves you wanting more! Why leave us hanging like that? Cannot wait for the next installment!

This novel proves to be a great start to a new series! A huge five stars!

"To be continued...."
A sentence which drives every reader crazy, also in this case!
I really liked this book, the first book of the "Consumed by Love" series. One thing I need to mention is that this book is actually short (compared with other books). So be aware that you won't get a long story including a lot of information  about background information.

It's easy to get into the story as the characters are introduced in a way which makes it easy to imagine them. There are not many characters, but the combination of them makes it interesting to discover more characteristics.
About the pace of the story I have to say that for me, the first half of the book is a little bit too long while the second part of the book is a little bit too short.
The pace actually changes the moment we get to know Coen whom you just have to describe with one word: hot! There is something about him you actually can't put into words....He is just...Coen. In combination with Lexi, they really make a great "couple"(especially on the racing track).
I can't really say whom I like more...Lexi who is this really strong character with a very interesting personality or Coen about whom we don't know so much yet, but desperately want to know more about.
All in all a combination that just screams: read me!
I can't wait to read the second book of this series!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I've been waiting patiently for this little gem and it did not disappoint! Such a great debut book, Lizzie!! Sexy beast of an alpha, sassy little red head, fast cars and tattoos!? I think someone just dropped me in my happy place.

Alright alright, in all seriousness, I absolutely loved the characters. Coen is a strong male lead who is determined + protective = sexy in my book, and Lexi is such a feisty, strong willed woman who knows what she wants and doesn't pay head games (serious plus for me). I feel like I know all of Lexi's baggage up front but it feels like we don't know the whole story with Coen yet and what his past is all about.

Yes, the story line moves fast which means they move pretty fast in this book, but it's novella length and who doesn't love insta-love? You can't help but root for the perfectly meant to be together couple. Wanna know what else is awesome about this book? There is a lot of inner dialouge for the lead characters, which normally irritates me instantly, but in this case Lizzie did an excellent job of making it funny and interesting to read. I love that the book is from both M/F perspective, I always want to know what the man is thinking.

Fast Lane did an excellent job of reeling me in and making me so anxious for the second one so I can see what is happening next, because AHH!! Cliffhanger!! But I don't care, it's so worth the wait!

3.5 Stars

The Fast lane is book #1 in the Consumed by Love series and the first book I have read by this author. I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of the book to read for Gemma reads too much.

I was expecting a full length novel so honestly I was a little disappointed when I found that this was only a novella.

I’m gonna warn everyone early in that this instalment ends on one hell of a cliff-hanger. This is both brilliant and a pain in the butt!!! It’s great because honestly the ending came out of nowhere it was so unexpected I went back and checked twice that I hadn’t missed a sign somewhere. On the other hand it’s a pain because I’ve no idea what the hell is going to happen next nor when the next book comes out.

I liked both Lexi and Coen; they are very similar characters both full of confidence and cocky banter. They had a shed load of chemistry together so I would have loved there to have been a lot more sex. There is only one sex scene and don’t get me wrong its hot BUT THERES ONLY ONE!!!

I enjoyed this quick story but the curse of the novella strikes again, I was really getting into this book right where it stops and I was gutted to have it finish. I would have fallen in love with this book had it of been the full story but alas now I have to wait for my next fix.

Fast lane gets 3.5 stars from me

This is Lizzie Hart Stevens debut book. And she did very very well!!
This is the blurb for it.

Sometimes fate gives you an ass-whooping.

Lexi Taylor has sworn off men—why make an effort if you’re never gonna do it right?

But then she meets Coen Walker, not once but three times in the same day. He’s edgy, reckless, guarded and protective. From the first time he sees her he has to have her. He wants her and he won’t give up until she agrees to give him a chance and spend just one night with him.

Bumping into the same guy three times in one day can’t be a coincidence, right?

Boy what a guy(Coen) to bump into. He seems like a bit of a jerk in the beginning but then you kinda see his reasoning for his attitude. Lexi just wants to be left alone after a strained break up. But their paths cross a few times and they have more in common than they would like to admit to. I like all the characters in this story and I can see (hopefully)a couple of spin offs to add to this story. It's pretty steamy! so if you don't want it extra hot, make sure you have a fan and ice on hand. The only thin I didn't care for was the cliffhanger. I kinda came out of nowhere. I didn't expect it at all! But Go ahead and buy this book. I don't think you will be disappointed. I wasn't. 4 very bright stars for Lizzie Hart Stevens. looking forward to the rest of the tail!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It is definitely in the fast lane and I'm loving it!

I love how Coen and Lexi have some type of instant connection, almost like soul mates,  but she still tries to fight it. Apparently fate or whatever it is pushing them together,  really wants it to stick.

In the course of one day, the night after Lexi breaks it off with her somewhat bi-polar boyfriend,  her and Coen meet and run into eachother all day long.

Coen... not only is the mans name hot, but the tattooed, 6'4, muscled race car driver is smokin!
Not only in the fast lane either.

Which obviously means the chances of Lexi fighting fate and Coen Walker for long, is nill. Soon enough, Lexi is moving in the fast lane along with Coen.

Another great thing? (Some may think not but...) There's a cliffhanger!  The reason I like that? It means there's a book 2 coming!

I'd give this book ***** Five Racing Stars! It was short,  but is of great quality, worth the read, and kept me hooked! Especially Coen! Ladies, you will LOVE him! All I can say is BOOK BOYFRIEND!
