When Amelia stumbles upon Marcia and Derrick’s BDSM lifestyle, she doesn’t realize it will lead to her escaping a loveless, dying marriage. She thought that was the stuff of romance books, not real life. Even better, she didn’t realize Marcia and Derrick operated a BDSM club and can introduce her to their friends.

Don and Carl are coworkers and platonic roommates. Divorced Carl walked in on his wife’s affair, and never-married Don hasn’t met the woman to make him “risk half his stuff.” The men agree to play with Marcia’s friend as a favor. Amelia’s new to BDSM—the last thing she needs is to get hooked up with a predator.

After some obvious meddling by Marcia, the men ask Amelia to be their roommate while she goes through her divorce. Once the dust clears, will she want more from the men, or will they be forced to say good-bye to someone they never realized they needed in their lives?

The Romance Review

When married couples grow apart, it usually ends in a divorce. When a marriage starts out on false advertisement, it usually results in misery. Unless the couple both want to make a change, it is hell on earth.

Amelia is unhappy. She sees how her husband's family all have contentious marriages. Her sisters-in-law constantly harp on her husband's brothers. She thinks this is as good as it gets. But then why is her friend Marcia so happy with her marriage? Why does Marcia's husband, Derrick, demonstrate his love so visibly that even Amelia can see it?

I thought this book was going to be about where one spouse finds out about kink and decide that they want it. The other one is not willing and then the marriage ends. It is rare that I ever hear of one partner in a marriage who is kinky and the other one is adamantly not remain together. These usually do not end well. Ms. Dalton shows a depressing variation to that theme. Amelia's marriage dies a slow painful death due to neglect. The things Amelia experience at her husband's hands are wince worthy from an outsider's perspective. When Amelia meets Don and Carl, she really learns how relationships can be.

The BDSM in this story is yet another view of how a newbie can enter into this lifestyle. People come from all walks of life. Some of them have more baggage than others. The hope of making a change and finding oneself is what makes the BDSM in this book so good The menage between Amelia, Carl and Don is hot and sweet. The way Carl and Don become intimate with Amelia without physical interaction is spot on for building a deeper relationship. Loved seeing Amelia learning about a whole new world when it comes to being in a deeply committed relationship based on mutual love and respect.

This erotic romance is recommended for those who have given up hope; it is never too late to make a change.

This was a 3 1/2 star read for me. Amelia's marriage is crumbling and she is looking to make a life for herself that brings her satisfaction. Her good friend Marcia, who runs the BDSM club Venture along with her husband and Dom Derrick, offers her a place to stay and a supportive ear. Amelia is interested in the lifestyle and, with a little matchmaking help from Marcia, she soon finds herself sharing a house with Don and Carl. Don and Carl are both Doms and members of the club. Carl is divorced and Don is leery of marriage until he's certain he's met the right person. Don and Carl are both interested in Amelia and she in them, first as play partners and then as more.

I enjoyed the second half of the book much more than the first. In the first half (especially the first third), I felt like the sole focus was on the way that Amelia, Carl, and Don felt about relationships, marriage, life, etc. It was a LOT of telling and little showing, and it felt like overkill. Then, once the three come together, all of those issues felt resolved just a little too quickly. There's no doubt - they're all in, even though they take a while to get here. I enjoyed reading it, it just didn't stand out as one of my favorites in the series.

I just love this series. The feeling of family the characters have for each other. Mel has been neglected and ignored by her husband for so long she's thinking of giving up. When she talks to her friend Marcia and stumbles on her lifestyle Mel knows what she's been wanting and makes her decision.
Carl and Don being best friends and roommates fall victim to Marcia's match making skills.
All three finally find what they never knew they always wanted.

This was a great read. I have been reading this entire series from book 1 in order. Although the story was on a new Venture and munch group, it was neat to read the angst of how Venture started in the first place.
All can be read a as standalone.

She never answered who Amy is lol. Anyway another all consuming story from the Suncoast Society, great group of friends. These are the type of people that everyone should have in their life at least for a while, just so they know that life isn't always this negative era that we are living in now.

Thanks again Tymber

This story just didn’t flow well, and Amelia goes straight from not being happy in marriage to banging two guys. The end where she cackles because she insists her two guys kiss was just pretty awful

This is a short story compared to Tymber’s other books, only 112 pages. It was segued into from the previous book in the series which was about Marcia and Derrick. Amelia is friends with them and comes to Marcia when she realizes that her marriage is on the rocks. She and her husband have absolutely no sex life nor is he interested in getting counseling to find out why not. Amelia learns that Marcia and Derrick are into “that kinky stuff” she has been reading about in her romance novels. Marcia and Derrick let Amelia move in with them while she files for divorce. During her first play night at Venture Marcia introduces Amelia to Don and Carl who are co-workers and platonic roommates but not lovers. Each man, for his own reasons, was not looking for a relationship at the moment. Amelia a.k.a. Mel had just had her first experience of fire cupping and was coming down from subspace when Marcia asks the guys to keep an eye on Mel while she tends to something in the clubs office. In the meantime Marcia asked the guys to show Mel the ropes, so to speak. Mel was in subspace and rambled on about how she came to be at Venture. The guys realized that Mel was pleasurable company and that they’d been set up by Marcia.
As Mel’s divorce progressed she realized that she needed to get her own place rather than live with Marcia and Derrick. Don mentioned that he had a spare room where he and Carl lived. Mel’s attorney had warned her not to jump into a new relationship right away and so the three would keep things platonic for now.
So much for the best laid plans of mice and men.
This was a great little story. The ending had some surprises and a great little twist. I just wish that it had been longer and had an element of mystery.
I highly recommend Book Addict’s review. It’s the best in my opinion. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Amelia's relationship with her husband is over. By chance she realizes something about a friend and kind of falls into a BDSM group. There she begins to explore the lifestyle before finally realizing/admitting that her marriage is done. Her husband regards her request to divorce with a monumental amount of apathy which makes Amelia's switch to a new lover/s more palatable for the reader. With two men scrambling for her attentions Amelia discovers herself again and her long neglected sexual self takes flight with her newly found submissive side.

I guess I didn't really connect with this story or these characters. I love an HEA but I like it when there is relationship work to do. For me, Amelia's husband being written as an unlikable ass makes the read too comfortable and predictable.

I really love how in someways it feels like Amelia sort of gets drops in the deep end of the pool when she finds out what her friends have really been up too. And while this one also features two guys in Don and Carl their dynamic is completely different than in some of the other stories. They are not a couple and have no sexual interest in each other. But their strong friendship and life experience make them the perfect landing spot for Amelia as she starts her own kinky journey. The fact that they end up a family is a wonderful bonus.

Amelia leaves her husband, files for divorce and goes to live with her friends. They take her to their club where she meets Don & Carl, who are roommates and best friends. The first half of the book is how these 2 friends are helping Mel sort out her life, offering her a place to live. The second half of the book is the three of them falling in love. I really loved this book and will read the entire series. I needed this one for a challenge.

Well this ones shows that ignoring your spouse long enough will get you divorced. When honestly wasn't asking much from her husband. Since he didn't want to give her what she needed out the door she went and found two guys who did give her what she needed. I must say I have never read such a unique pregnancy reveal before. Only Tymber would have 2 straight men get married for real.

Wow

Can you go from a loveless marriage to finding what you've been missing for 15 years with two doms who start out as just helping her and being friends and roommates - Mel, Carl, and Don are about to find out.

Wow, this was a great storyline. It even has a marriage in it. There were several funny spots. I love reading a story with characters who have a sense of humor. Loren gets to stand in front of the crowd for a ceremony. But the real question is, what kind of ceremony?

I absolutely loved this book. The only thing I would have changed would be to make it longer. I wanted more of their story, which I guess is the mark of a great book.
