Piper Allen is looking to spread her wings and unfortunately, her podunk hometown in Missouri is stunting her spiritual growth. Moving to Dallas to finish up college with her two friends, Stephanie and Nicole, she hopes to challenge herself to reach new heights. Her bohemian ways allow her to float through relationships frequently and with ease; when there are no strings attached, there is no chance of being hurt.

Texas rancher, Moye McKenzie, is a no nonsense, good ol' boy, who doesn't play games where matters of the heart are concerned. When this straight-shooter walks into Piper's life, sparks fly and tempers flare. Wanting to give her the life she deserves, Moye has to show her that getting hurt can happen whether you're holding onto the reins or not.

If she could just let go, Piper might be surprised to find she's someone's dream girl.

Cute beginning to a series. I love ultra alpha heroes, and Moye is definitely as alpha as they come. I'm looking forward to Nicole and Stephanie's books!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Oh my goodness I loved these girls! Carrie’s writing is light, cheerful and fluffy. Yep I said fluffy.  You just want to hug the damn book.

Friends Piper, Stephanie and Nicole leave their small town in Missouri behind to move to Dallas to start college. Stephanie’s parents are paying for the apartment but they will still need jobs for everything else.  After an extensive job search that turned out a bust they end up at a local bar called On the Rocks for lunch.

When they realize they are hiring Piper gets a wild hair up her ass and gets them all jobs….yep at a bar.  Nicole aka the brainiac and worry wart is apprehensive, Stephanie is worried about what her family will think but after their first shift they all seem to find their groove…oh and the money doesn’t hurt either.

Piper, the wilder one of the three, starts hitting up the cook Sean for random hookups.  You know a girls gotta get hers too?

“How do you do that Pipe?  Have sex, but not date?” Nicole questioned.
Bless her, she just didn’t get it.

But all of that comes to a screeching half when one day in walks Moye McKenzie.  The tall handsome drink of water that runs the local ranch.

Moye is as mesmerized by Piper as Piper is by Moye and it doesn’t take long before the two go out on a date  Piper is a little out of her element.  One, she doesn’t date and two, she has never dated a cowboy.  You know the yes ma’am, open the door for you type.  Oh and she has never ridden a horse. But hey save a horse ride a cowboy right? (did I say that out load?).

The two quickly claim each other for keeps and she gives Sean the “sorry can we just be friends” talk.  Well the problem is that
Sean is like on of those socks you get out of the dryer that clings to all of your other clothes. Yep Clinger…eww.  He starts reeking havoc in Piper’s life and once Moye finds out he is not exactly jumping for joy. Moye..joy…get it?

When tragedy strikes the girls find themselves homeless.  Moye insists that Nicole and Piper move in with him and Stephanie moves in with hottie behind the bar Cole…just friends my ass…but we will discuss that later.

You see Piper has a teeny tiny problem called trust….or lack of it.  I guess for some reason she has no idea why Moye would want her but he does….he wants ever flaw, every foul word, everything.

Meanwhile while she is living in the middle of dramaville, Nicole has issues of her own and is name is Corey Tate.  Moye’s right hand man. With his buzz cut and tattoos he is annoying…annoyingly beautiful.  But she will never admit it.

So it seems that only Piper, the invasive one, is in a relationship when clearly….CLEARLY Stephanie needs to realize that Cole is not just a friend and should be more that a friend and should be like NOW…like right now.  Sorry I got a little carried away lol.

Remember Clinger?  Well he is not out of the picture yet but I can’t tell you much about it or I’d ruin the story for you. So there you have it.  These three girls will bury themselves in your hearts. I love that all of them are polar opposites.  I can’t wait to read Steph and Nic’s story.

Favorite Scene: When Piper gets caught spying on Moye.  “Luke, I am your father” lol

Favorite Quote:

He looked so deep in my eyes I was petrified he saw my soul.  I didn’t want him to see it.  I didn’t know why, but I felt embarrassed for him to see that deep into me.  I tried to look away, but he willed me to keep his gaze.  Something changed between us in that moment.  My feet weren’t even on the ground, my arms were around his neck, and I had never felt so grounded in all of my life.

"The last thing I remember before drifting of was Moye kissing my temple, spooning me from behind and whispering in my ear, 'I love you, angel - more than anything.'"

What the book is about
Piper's story had so much potential. It could've been great. Piper doesn't believe in love and thinks that men always leave or cheat. Because her dad left her mom when she was 15 and pregnant with Piper. She has never met her father. What an asshole is he. He destroyed Piper even before she was born. She's got daddy issues. It's why she is the hook-up and leave 'm type. She doesn't do relationships. She has sex, but never commits. And it's also why she thinks guys always have an alterior motive. And for the life of her she can't figure Moye (how do you pronounce his name?) out. He is the first boy to say to her she is beautiful and who seems really interested in her. He makes her feel things she has never felt before. It doesn't take long before she has her first relationship and that commitment gets tested a lot.

"I felt like if I didn't put my heart out there, there was no chance of getting it broken."

What I like about the book
Exes, other boys, Piper's fear to fully commit, communication problems. You find it all in this book and I loved that. Just a typical story were the love between two people isn't made easy and is put to the test. I also thought it was really cute how Moye called Piper his angel. It was her first pet name ever.

I might not really like the writing style, which I'll explain in a little bit, but it is written in an easy way. No difficult words or constructions of sentences. Which makes it easy for you to fly through the chapters.

"He was too honest, too calm. There was no one that sweet without it being a facade. I was beginning to think that he was so simple, he was complex."

What I don't like about the book
I didn't like that some parts in the story were skipped, such as the conversation during the first date with Moye. And a lot of feelings were being explicitly named by the writer. I like it better when you can depict the feelings yourself.

I can't really pinpoint the reason for it, but I also didn't like the writing style. It felt rushed in some way and it didn't draw me into the story. Not once while reading the book I felt like I was part of it and I had to push myself to keep reading. I could never really concentrate on reading and connect with the story and its characters. Also some parts in the story itself didn't connect. Like, they were in his house and for some reason her guitar was already there. This is just a little example, but it happens a lot throughout the book. Or how when something happens to their apartment I never hear her about her guitar or how she doesn't use her guitar very often. When she says she loves playing it.

I got to hate Nicole (one of Piper's best friends), she is just always complaining and whining about everything. Look, I understand that Stephanie (other best friend of Piper) and Piper sometimes do stupid stuff and they don't really think and all. But Nicole just thought about everyting way too much. Doesn't mean I took a liking to Stephanie and Piper, because I really didn't. But I think me not liking Piper had more to do with the way the author wrote. I didn't get to know Piper at all, so it was difficult to sympathize with her. Same goes with the other characters in the story: Moye, Cole and Corey (Moye's friends).

"I was questioning everything I had been so sure I had figured out."

So...
Although I didn't love the story and had to push myself hard to finish the book. I didn't hate it and I'm still curious about the story of Stephanie with Cole and Nicole with Corey. I saw that Carrie wrote about Stephanie's story and I only hope that she's going to give us Nicole's as well. I'm certainly going to give them a try!

"It can't be this good, can it?"

Piper Allen is looking to start fresh by moving from her small town in Missouri to Dallas, Texas to finish college. She takes this leap with her two best friends, Stephanie and Nicole. Piper has a no strings attitude about relationships. Her mother had her when she was 15 years old and her father left before she was born. The experience her mother had, left her not having much faith in men. She knows what they want and knows how to play the game just as much as men do.

That is until she meets Moye McKenzie, a Texas rancher who has a no nonsense outlook on life. He is a well mannered young man who doesn't play games, especially when it comes to relationships. Once he meets Piper he sees her as the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. It takes some convincing for Piper to actually go out on a date with him. She doesn't believe in dating, but she makes an exception with Moye. She immediately notices that he is not like other men. He is very open about how he feels. He does and means what he says. She gets the impression that he is a good guy that is well liked by all that are around him.

From the start Piper fights her attraction to Moye because she just can't believe that he is as nice as he is and is open about everything as he is. Moye tries is hardest to convince Piper that he is really cares for her and that not all men are after one thing. Tempers flare and sparks fly like the 4th of July but Moye refuses to give up on Piper. All he wants to do is show Piper that she is worth everything and more.

I loved this story. Moye is the man every woman wants to be her forever. He is a hard working man, who loves with all his heart and always does and says what he means. I just fell in love with him. Piper personified every woman's insecurity about no feeling good enough. They were a perfect match and I enjoyed their story tremendously I look forward to reading the stories of the other characters.

*ARC from NetGalley in exchange for honest review*

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this. It started out a little too slow for me but the plot picked up eventually. I think that the secondary characters were almost better than Piper and Moye, especially Nicole and Corey. I really would like to know their story. I have a hard time reading romance books where the Prince Charming has a weird or bad name; is "Moye" a real name? I'm not a fan. It wasn't the overly dramatic romance that I usually read but I did enjoy it.

I received this book in return for my honest review.

Piper a young lovely slightly rock girl meets old school cowboy gent- what not to like!

Moye's character was lovely, kind, caring and had a slight dirty mouth in the bedroom. He seemed mature in contrast to most other new adult males and I enjoyed that.

I enjoyed this story, it had a good pace, and was easier to read and I will read more from this author. I cannot wait to read about Corey and Nic!

Honestly, this is not the type of book I normally read. My preferred genre is mystery and thrillers, however I absolutely adored this book! The characters and storyline is a bit predictable but the writing style made this book very enjoyable. I loved this simple love story of a country boy steals the heart of a playgirl. Highly recommend!

SWEET READ!
Carrie Thomas has written a very sweet read about three college girls trying to find themselves far away from their hometown in Missouri. It is time to leave the nest.
Stephanie, Nicole and Piper transfer to Dallas for college. They have all been friends for so long they are more like sisters. The first thing is to find a job. Going from one end of Dallas to the other looking for work was a daunting task. Number one reason they are all underage, but they have fake id’s, that should help. Going to the neighborhood pub to eat and the first thing they notice is the place is slammed and not enough help. Problem solved.
Piper gets the job behind the bar. Piper is a beautiful girl and it is noticed by all the guys. Is having a hook-up with someone from work a good idea? Probably not but she does it anyway with the understanding there is nothing but sex, no feelings. It can’t hurt just a couple of times, right?
Nicole and Stephanie are waitress at the pub. What makes this so perfect is it is located within walking distance to their apartment and they mostly work the same shifts. Stephanie and Nicole are also beautiful girls but they are all so different from each other that it works perfectly.
Cole is the hot bartender that works with Piper and they form a friendship immediately. Cole is a player, love them and leave them type guy. But he is a good guy just doesn’t want to be tied to one girl.
Corey and Moye are good friends of Cole’s. They have grown up together and went to school with each other. When Corey and Moye got to the club together it is quite the site. Corey is a tattooed biker dude and Moye is a cowboy.
Moye is a nice guy who owns his own ranch at the ripe old age of twenty-three. He is very serious, and knows what he wants. When he sees Piper he can’t take his eyes off of her but Piper has the same problem. They start dating and things go very well!!
Strange things start to happen to Piper’s property. At first it is little things until on night everything they have is destroyed. This is devastating to the girls. What are they going to do and can the authorities find who did this? After they discover Piper was the target can they find the person who wants to hurt her?
Carrie Thomas has a way with her writing that pulls you in and this story is easy to read and follow. I would recommend this to anyone wants a good light read.

I absolutely loved this book! Such an amazing start to what seems to be an even better series. Carrie's writing is so refreshing and breezy, while many authors seem to be writing dark and dangerous stories, she is creating a story that you wish you could just jump into!

Let's start with the girls Piper, Stephanie and Nicole all decide to leave their small town in Missouri to embark on a new life in Dallas. Stephanie's parents are paying for the girls apartment, but that doesn't mean their off the hook. They still need to find jobs to pay their bills and anything else they need. After having no luck with finding jobs, they decide to have lunch at On the Rocks, once the girls realize that the bar is hiring, Piper thinks it would be a great idea for them all to work there. Nicole is the worrier of the group, and doesn't think it's such a hot idea. While Stephanie is just worried about what her family will say. The money ends up being the best part once they find their way.

Piper starts hooking up with Sean the cook from On the Rocks. No dates, no relationship, just sex.

Enter Moye McKenzie, tall, dark and handsome guy who happens to run the local ranch down the road. Moye decides he wants Piper all to himself. Soon he convinces Piper to go on a date with him. Only a slight problem, our girl Piper, doesn't date. The two decide that they want to be exclusive and only see each other, add in another slight problem, Sean, the cook from the bar. He isn't having it, he decides that it would be better to cause drama for Piper.

I can't say more without giving away too much more of the story, but believe me when I say this is such a good one! We also get a sneak peak into Nicole and Stephanie's love life and little hints are dropped about what's to come in the series. I can't wait to see what's in store for Nicole and Stephanie.

Piper is a girl from Missouri. She attended college there and had friends, family, and a life there. She and her friends decided to transfer colleges and move to Dallas together and start over. Luckily, Piper’s friend Steph came from money and Steph’s parents helped payroll their move to Dallas. Piper, Steph, and their third friend, Nic did however have to get a job once they arrived. After searching all day for jobs, they went to a restaurant and realized it was the perfect place for them to work. Luckily they were hiring and all three girls were given jobs either waitressing or bartending.
At On the Rocks, the restaurant where they worked, the girls met Cole, a bartender. Cole, being from Dallas, knew a few regulars at the restaurant, including Moye (the sexy cowboy) and Corey (his emo-looking friend). Cole introduced Moye to Piper and there was a connection that Piper immediately felt, despite knowing that cowboys and relationships were definitely outside of her norm. What was in Piper’s norm was the complicated cook, Shaun, who seemed to not take no for an answer.
This book focuses mainly on the relationship of Moye and Piper. There is quite a bit of character development for both Moye and Piper throughout the story. Moye is sweet, protective, and to the point. Piper starts off as very aloof and uncaring when it comes to relationships, but becomes more involved and invested as the book goes on. We also get to know Piper’s friends Steph and Nic fairly well, but are left wanting to know more about Moye’s friends, Cole and Corey. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, including several plot twists that I never saw coming. It is definitely a feel good romance that will make your heart happy at the end of the day. I am looking forward to reading Steph’s and Nic’s stories!

This is a new adult romance. A fast pace read, this is the first book in the Dream Girls series but could be read as a stand alone. I recommend this for adults due to the sexual content. I really loved the friendship between Piper and her besties. And who doesn't love a sexy cowboy with a good heart. Even though the story line is very predictable it is a feel good read.

Piper Allen is determined to finish college in a new atmosphere. She is wanting to do new things and experience life outside her norm. So her and two of her best friends pack up and move to Dallas. And they are excited for new opportunities. First things first Piper helps them all find work at the same place, and they start building their new futures. Piper isn't one for serious relationships, and is comfortable with her friends with benefits. Until a sexy cowboy catches her eye. Moye McKenzie is everything that Piper didn't realize she wanted. And with everything falling so perfectly in place Piper believes she has everything figured out until she realizes there is trouble lurking close by.

favorite passages:
"Gosh, girl. You look like a furry turd," Steph said."
"Just plug one of the fine-a** men surrounding us into that huge brain of yours and take off, okay?"
"That figured to be a lethal combination in my book... black curls that I could run my fingers through, blues eyes, and over six feet of muscled perfection."
"Everything he made me feel, think, and imagine was like wearing glasses after a lifetime of not being able to see clearly."
"That's what friends were for-being there for each other no matter what the situation."
"And so help me God, if I feel anything poking me throughout the night, you will be punched in your baby maker."
"Oh, we plan too, Elmer Fudd!"

I really enjoyed this book a lot. I love new adult romance and this book did not disappoint. I packed up my life and moved to Texas and loved this is where she ended up.

Three girls Piper, Nicole and Stephanie moving from their small hometown in Missouri to the big city, Dallas, Texas to finish up college. After they their stuff moved into their apartment they decide to check out the scene like most college girls would and end up at a bar not too far from their apartment. They have fun and Piper who meets Jackson and he doesn’t understand the word no, but she leaves without any serious issues.

The girls go job hunting throughout their part of Dallas and were unable to find anything. They decide to stop by the bar they had been at before and it is super busy so they ask if they are hiring and all three girls get hired on. They work with a cute bartender Cole (aka Cupcake) and start settling into their new lives. Piper is just find until Moye and his friend Corey walk in.

Moye is a rancher who doesn’t live too far from the bar is an old friend of Cole’s. He is nothing like Piper’s normal type, but she can’t get him out of her mind. They meet and he asks her out on a date, he is more traditional where she is more casual. One date turns into a lot more and they get serious.

Weird things start happening to Piper after she and Moye get serious. She notices some stuff is missing from her car, someone tampers with the engine and she can’t figure out why. Moye wants to protect her but she is learning how to do this relationship thing and doesn’t do too well. Thankfully it is happy ending.

I really hope there will be more books with these characters. I loved both Nicole and Stephanie.

Dream Girls: Piper is the first book in the Dream Girls series by Carrie Thomas. I really enjoyed this book – I thought it was easy to read, well written and flowed well. It kept my interest from start to finish.

This story is about Piper and her friends Stephanie and Nicole. Piper Allen is looking to spread her wings and unfortunately her Podunk home tome in Missouri is stunting her spiritual growth. She moves to Dallas with her friends to finish college. Her bohemian ways allow her to float through relationships frequently and with ease; when there are no strings attached, there’s no chance of getting hurt.
Texas rancher, Moye McKenzie, is a no nonsense, good ol’ boy, who doesn’t play games where matters of the heart are concerned. When this straight-shooter walks into Pipers life, sparks fly and tempers flare.

I really loved these characters, they were easy to connect with and I enjoyed reading about them. I thought the author had a great writing style that made the story easy to read. I do have to admit I have a soft spot for cowboys so I particularly liked Moye’s character – he sounded pretty perfect, very handsome and swoon-worthy! Piper’s character was funny! She definitely kept Moye on his toes! I liked the secondary characters in the story and I hope we get to read their stories next. The relationship between the friends was really good and you could tell how much they meant to each other. Although I thought I had predicted how the story would go there were a few twists in the story that I felt made it even better. I definitely recommend this book!

I give Dream Girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas 4.5 stars.

Dream Girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas was truly a wonderful read. Carrie has a knack for writing cheerful and characters that truly drag you into the story. Piper and her two best friends have a relationship that I truly find special and loved how they interacted together. The love and leave them girl gets a pleasant awakening to a hunk of a Texas man. Just makes you want a cowboy for yourself!!

Piper, along with her friends moves to Dallas Texas. The girl that doesn’t do relationships but then walks in Moye, the tall hank of a cowboy, who wants nothing more than to break down Pipers walls. Once Piper warms up to Moye and sees just what an amazing, sweet southern boy he is, she sees that love is so possible. This couple is so amazing and really evens each other out making this an even better book to read. There are some twist and turns in the book, which all relationships have. But in the end, its makes them have an even stronger relationship, it shows they are meant for each other. Add in Stephanie and Nicole who are friends with Piper, and Cole and Cory. A group of friends that stick together and are there in the good times and the bad times throughout the whole story.

I love the next books in this series and I know I will be reading them. There is no sex in this book, but I would have loved to have read the scenes between Moye and Piper. You can read between the lines and know the passion between them would have been amazing. The story and writing is great and has an amazing flow to it. I know that I was unable to put it down. I give this book 4 stars and cannot wait to dig into the others in the series. The story is wonderful, fast, and light read that any romance reader will just love! Well Done Carrie Thomas!

Dream Girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas is about a girl who, with her three friends whom grew up together, started to go to college in Texas looking for a better life than what they had in their home town of Missouri. Stephanie’s parents pay for the apartment that they live in, but to pay for college and have money of their own they end up working at a bar by using fake ID’s. Piper is a bit more of the partying type, not much into commitments and is just fine with doing the whole “friends with benefits” thing. While she is working she meets Moye, a cowboy, who quickly becomes mesmerized by Piper and who starts to slowly bring her around to thinking that perhaps a relationship isn’t so bad and to get her out of her comfort zone. It is a struggle with Pipers’ difficulties in talking about stuff like her feelings, as well as dealing with a man named Sean who she had slept with multiple times before she got asked out by Moye and who doesn’t want to let her go. I really enjoyed the book from Piper and Moye’s reactions, watching Moye help Piper and getting her to open up to having an actual relationship, to her interactions with her best friends. Piper and Moyes’ interactions are kind of interesting thanks to their personalities being so different with how they deal with confrontations. For example Piper is the kind of person who will hold back from saying stuff because she doesn’t want to hurt the person she loves while Moye would rather just be up front and honest about things which does cause some arguments. If you like having romance that has fluff and very funny moments than I would for sure recommend you to read this book.

Received this book for review from netgally and the publisher in exchange for an honest review this has in no way affected my opinion.

This is the first book I have read by this author.

Piper and her 2 friends Stephanie and Nicole leave the small town of Missouri, to start collage in Dallas, new town, new collage, now the girls need to find jobs. Long day Job hunting , they need a break and head to a bar for lunch,. The just so happens to be hiring!!Lunch turns in to the 3 of them getting jobs at the bar, but Stephanie and Nicole not to keen.

Piper is a love them and leave them sort of girl, she hooks up with (creeper) Sean the cook a few times, girl has to get her kicks one way, she doesn't to the whole relationship thing,

Until Moye enters the bar Hot Tall sexy Cowboy, He's not at all pipers type, but with his charming words and ways has breaks down her walls.
As Piper gets closer to Moye, she's stopped the hook up with Sean, but he's not taking no for answer ands he starts creeping Piper out to the point its freaking her out.
How far will Sean take it???

Will Piper finally have a relationship?
Can the cowboy gets his girl?

You want to know the answers ?? Then get 1clicking

I really enjoyed this book the characters are so easy to love, and we have a hot cowboy what else does a book need..
The story flowed lovely, but i Would of like a bit more from Sean and his obsession that for me fell a little flat, and was over to quickly.
I'm hoping the author will be giving us A story for Nic and Corey. I'd be at front of the cue for that.

Dream Girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas tells the story of a group of girls who are starting over in Dallas. Piper, Stephanie, and Nicole decided to move to Dallas for college. They needed a fresh start. They found an apartment and were really excited to move in, even if they didn’t have jobs.

After unpacking, they decided to head out for a night of fun before finding jobs. They ended up at a bar called On the Rocks. They thought it was perfect. The next morning, reality set in as they walked all over Dallas looking for jobs. They ended up at the same bar for lunch and found out they were hiring. They had to lie a little about their age and experience but they all started working that night.

Piper worked as a bartender with Cole. Though he was nice, Piper didn’t do relationships. She preferred to spend time with men who didn’t get attached. One such man was Sean, someone who worked as a cook in the bar.

That all changed when a cowboy walked in. Moye McKenzie worked on his family’s cattle ranch and was getting ready to take over it so that his father could retire. Because he was so busy at the ranch, he didn’t make it into the bar very often. However, Piper caught his eye.

After several weeks, they finally had their first date. Life changed for both of them.

Though readers will know that Piper and Moye will eventually end up together, Dream Girls: Piper is more than a story of a college student who is unable to commit. Sean and Piper’s fear of commitment, along with Moye’s trust issues make this book one that you won’t be able to put down.

Dream Girls: Piper is the first book in the Dream Girls series by Carrie Thomas. We get to know Piper and Moye as we following them around Dallas, Texas.
Needing a fresh start Piper and her two best friends, Nicole and Stephanie, move from Missouri to Dallas, Texas for college. Planning to just attend college and experience life away from where they have spent their entire lives, they never expected the kind of changes that are coming. Piper has always been the fun time girl, never believing in love or that a happily ever after is a true thing, she always just plays to have fun, but nothing serious. When they find jobs at a bar by their apartment, she soon meets Moye, a guy that she soon comes to have very real feelings for she does not know exactly what to do with those feelings always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Moye is getting ready to take over his families business. Being only 23 he has already built his home and is looking forward to settling down and taking over for him father. He never expected that his dream girl would come in the form of a bartender at the bar his friend works in. But what can you do when the woman you love is so dead set on love not being real and refuses to trust!
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the plot behind it. Certain points felt a little YA but it was not something that was in your face. This was a great short and sweet read and wonderful if you want something that can be read in a couple of hours and leaves you with good feelings!

Dream girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas

I really enjoyed this book, it was so good! I give it 4.5 stars !! The relationships amongst the three friends is wonderful. Every woman needs a set of friends like that! This book me made laugh, angry and heck, even made me cry. I'm such a sappy person!!
Piper, Nicole and Stephanie have been friends since they were in high school. They are completely different in their own ways. But that's what makes their friendship so strong and everlasting.
They embarked on college together in Missouri. But they all agreed to try something completely new and transferred to someplace new… Dallas Texas.
They got their apartment and all jobs. Things are looking up for them! Even made a group of friends from where they all work.
Piper has never been the relationship type. She has always had a strong opinion of men… They all cheat and lie. So does what she's comfortable with. Which is usually just a little fling here and there. I'm
Moye enters her life one day… Full speed ahead. She's a bit reluctant at first. But finally agrees to a date
She has feelings she's never felt before and it's scaring her a lot. She doesn't know how to do the whole relationship ship stuff. But she pretty much takes it as it comes and learns as she go.
Someone from Piper’s past comes back into her life and wreaks havoc on her and her loved ones. Can Moye and Pipee figure things out together? Or is that the end of them?
This is the first book I've read by Carrie Thomas and I enjoyed it immensely! I can not wait to read and see what happens next!

Dream Girl: Piper Carrie Thomas 4xxxx

We was given a Arc in exchange for a honest review.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't be the last.

Give a chance on love... This is the message that I got while reading Piper. Piper is a girl who didn't believe in love or want to go through the emotions that are associated with love because of what to her mother. She was living her life with no commitment, just your average college girl. Her adventure began with her move to a big city, from home for the first time, what more could a girl ask for.. Then in walks Moye and he turns Piper's world upside down. Moye is a southern gentleman with manners and loyalty. Piper and Moye have then ups and downs while she is trying to understand how to have a relationship and him knowing she is the one. You see how Piper grows both in her relationship with Moye and with her friends. There is a twist that is between two people who cause Piper harm but when puzzle piece are in place, you know for sure who it the real culprit is.
This book is light hearted that has you rooting for young love to scour. I do wish she Carrie would have extended on this a little more the events that happened to Piper attacker but what she did share was also enough. Dream Girls: Piper is HEA. It is a well written book and could see reading this again. Carrie develops the characters for one to follow along and leaves you wanting to read the other girls books as well.

All I can say is WOW! Loved this book. Stephanie is next then Nicole. I am ready for both. Grabbed all four of Carrie's books at a signing in Nashville because I enjoy a good romance. And because she is a cool chic. Rocking a Red Hot Chili Peppers T and gave me so much advice on a story I am writing, you know... her do's and don'ts. Gotta go and get started on Stephanie!

Piper Allen wanted to spread her wings but knew she couldn't in her little podunk town. So she and her 2 best friends decide to move to Dallas to finish college. She doesn't do relationship but loves having no strings attached relationships. Piper feels as long as there is no string she can't get hurt. She refuses to open her heart after her mother and best friend cry their eyes out after a failed relationship. She is stubborn, smart, creative, and loyal, but her views on relationships are very askew. When Moye McKenzie enters her life with his good down home no non sense type of man, sparks fly and tempers flair. Moye wants to show that even when your in a relationship you do get hurt on occasion. When it comes to heart he doesn't mess around but with Piper fighting him the whole way it gets frustrating. She doesn't trust that Moye is everything he says he is, she just can't take him at face value. And all Moye wants to do is show her that she deserves the world and nothing less.

I gave this book a 4 stars because Piper annoyed me at me first. I understand her showing that all woman have insecurities but I felt she took them to far. Moye he is one of a kind and for him to put up with Piper and her Craziness is just commendable. Overall I loved the book great. It is a page turner and so well written. I look forward to the other books.

Dream Girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas
4 Stars

Piper Allen has been cynical her whole life. Growing up never knowing her father, her view on relationships is tainted. If you don’t get close, you don’t get hurt. Enjoy yourself, no strings attached is her motto. Life in Missouri is somewhat stifling so Piper and her friends decide to finish college in Dallas, Texas. Life in the big city is exciting for the girls. After lying about their ages, they manage to snag jobs in a bar a few blocks from their apartment. Between school and work, they are quite busy.
One night while working, two guys walked in. Piper couldn’t keep her eyes off the tall cowboy. Good looking, tanned and muscled, he was delicious. He introduced himself as Moye Mackenzie. Moye is a good old cowboy, honest and straight forward. He only says thongs he means. Piper wasn’t sure how to deal with him, being used to players all the time.
She decided to step out of her comfort zone and give him a chance. It was the best decision she ever made. She finally learned what real love is. She learned what peace and security is. By finally being in love she also learned what sadness and loneliness is.
This book had a feel good vibe to it. There were a few bumps in the road of Piper and Moye’s relationship but it just added to me getting emotional at the end of the book. I enjoyed it.

I received a copy of the book to review via Netgalley. And I'm a hardcore mystery / Sci fi reader/reviewer so please disregard my review if you're a romance fanatic.
For one, the book has been thoroughly miscategorised as a YA/humour book. Its very definitely within the romance genre. And to top it off, the author has picked so many clichéd situations to include in the plot line that I couldn't help but turn some pages to read over some super cheesy bits.
To the authors credit, the characters are actually written quite ok - they're consistent (annoying at times, but consistently so) and generally relatable. Piper, Stephanie and Nic are all like people that we know and Cole and Moye are people we wish we knew (Corey... I think I'd rather not know).
For a series I think the author has set herself up well for at least 2 if not 3 more books. But I think I was more disappointed with being hoodwinked into thinking it was a funny book than with the quality of the book (which I think was good high school reading). Other than the odd funny lines here and there ("Luke I am your father", odd conversations between Stephanie and Cole) I found it to be too mainstream romance for it to interest me.
Overall, I was glad the book was over and that I could move on to a "more my genre" book.

Dream Girls:Piper by Carrie Thomas
4 stars

Dream Girls: Piper by Carrie Thomas was a solid 4 star read for me. I'm not a big NA fan but this one was different and didn't feel like NA at all to me. Piper's story is the first in a trilogy, but van be read as a standalone. I loved that not only did I fall in love with the main characters but the secondary ones as well. I didn't like that it was predictable but that also made it am easy quick read for me.
Piper Allen was raised by a single teen mom and she's always been the one to bed and leave and not really having a serious relationship. When her and her besties move to Texas for school, then last thing Piper expected was to fall in love, much less with a cowboy!
When a coworker won't take the hint of no means no and takes some crazy actions. Thankfully Piper's new boyfriend, Moye is around even if he is a little overprotective.
Moye is a rancher and he and Piper have eyes for each other from the start. When things get serious and Piper freaks and Moye has trust issues, will they work it out or will Pipers stubborness get in the way.

This was a first read for me from this author but I can't wait to read about the other girls now! This story is told in Pipers POV, and does contain some language.

This story has a slow and easy paced beginning which is different than what I’m use to. However the middle and ending sure made up for it! This is my first book by Carrie Thomas so I’m not sure if this is her usual style. I did like the story a lot. There were a few twists and turns that were unexpected. Thomas’ characters were good strong characters, even if some were evil and twisted.
The main female character is Piper and she is a no strings, hook up, kind of girl. She’s not looking for a relationship, she is certainly happy the way things are. Her BFFs are Nicole and Stephanie. All three girls are in college in a new town, where they meet Moye, Corey and Cole. Moye is a rancher, who likes what he sees when he sees Piper.
I know you're probably thinking three girls, three guys, plenty of happily ever afters here, right? Wrong…well, at least that’s what Thomas leads us to believe. Don’t get me wrong, this book ends in HEA, but not for all six characters. Can Moyer change Piper’s mind about relationships? Or is Piper going to choose someone else to continue just hooking up with? What is going on with Nicole and Corey? Are Stephanie and Cole really “just friends”?
I recommend this story to others and am glad to see that there are more Dream Girl stories to be read!!

I adored this book, the story was fantastic I was hooked immediately draw into the characters adventure of moving out of their hometown, starting new, fresh and united in their friendship and love for one another. I love the whole concept of following three best friends on their journey through life, romance, school and work this story was so appealing and not lacking in anything. The drama and thrill exciting and enthralling to read about. The romance with the main characters were sweet, seeming fast paced only because through out chapters weeks would go by, it was described and told in a nice flawless way. The main female lead is fiercely independent and when faced with changes handles them maturely and optimistically, a feat that I appreciated. The male lead being so swoon worthy, his love never an issues and easy to express, the support and willingness to compromise was admirable. The supporting characters are amazing I really loved how different all of them are in this story yet compliment one another so wonderfully I loved their interactions and believe this series to be a great one and am so ecstatic it continues, just wish it could of been told from the men's perspective as well, for there were moments when I wished to hear what they were discussing.

Southern comfort is the theme of this book I think. Cowboys really do know how to steal a girls heart and they definitely know how to keep it. Piper, a girl who has virtually given up on love and really doesn’t care about it. She’d rather have hook-ups than real love. Moye, a good ‘ol southern cowboy is possibly one of the sweetest men you could possibly think of and he is in love with Piper. Piper warms up to Moye and realizes that love is possible and opens her heart to him. These two are great characters and balance each other out perfectly. There are a few twists and turns in this book that solidifies Piper and Moye’s relationship even further. Pipers friend’s Stephanie and Nicole are a riot and Cole and Corey, Moye’s friends truly are great guys. This group of friends really stick together through the bad times during this story. It’s really gratifying to read. You can also see the next books coming out in this group…I love it! There is no sex in this book, which is ok but I kind of wish that there was because the connection that the two had would have made explosive sexy scenes. But the story flowed very well without it. The writing was great and the story really was sweet. I cannot wait for the next book to come out and read what happens to the next couple.

Piper Allen and her friends are off to college in Dallas. While there, she meets sexy cowboy/rancher Moye McKenzie. He is nothing like she has ever experienced before and he takes her by surprise.

Their story is one of Piper fighting love and Moye trying to show her that his love will conquer all. When trouble comes knocking at Piper and her friends door, Moye will do anything to protect her. Even if it means going behind her back to help solve the case.

As couples always do, they have their moment, but their love is strong enough to bring them back together. Moye lets Piper know that he is in it for the long haul and expects her to get on board with his plans.

Carrie has created interesting characters and the book keeps you engaged. I am looking forward to reading about Pipers friends, Stephanie and Nicole in future books and hope that some of the guys from this book may end up as their love interests. Since this is a young adult novel, hopefully there will be some insight to how Piper and Moye grow going forward in future novels.
