It's a good book for beginners. IMO lacks more detailed examples, step by step.

A lovely overview and introduction to pericyclic reactions, if albeit a tad too overreliant on discussing reactions in terms of structures that haven't yet been introduced, due to them being drawn on the following page. Showing the structures first, then discussing them would have been preferred.
