David and Christy run into each other after breaking up at the end of high school, and impulsively get married. They each have reasons to stay married for a bit, and plus, there is still a spark.

I liked Christy's drive to succeed and how hard she worked, but also how she balanced that with exercise and church. I didn't sympathize with David's issues quite as much, but I did like how he was willing to re-examine his opinions and to understand his own parents better.

This was a sweet romance - my thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to read and review an ARC!

Christy Fairchild just had the most wonderful dream, she ran into her HS sweetheart, all the sparks were still there on a lonely Valentine's day and they got married by Elvis and had an amazing night of passion. Christy is a relationship expert, she gives advice to all that need it in large conferences. She would tell one of her attendees that marrying someone you haven't seen in 10 years is not the best place to start a relationship. When Christy wakes up from her dream to find that it's not and she is married to the man that broke her heart, David Warner, what is she going to do? She can't just get a divorce?
David ran into the love of his life, the one that got away in a hotel bar on Valentine's day. The moment he saw her it was like they had never broke up. David had a ring in his pocket to ask his friend and semi girl friend Lauren, but on impulse asked Christy to marry him. David explained that without a wife he would never be able to become the CEO of Warner Industries and his snake in the grass cousin would get the company and sell it off.
Christy knew that is she was in a relationship it would do wonders for her career, her publicist Tom told her that most days, but could this marriage of convenience work for Christy and David without the two of them loosing their hearts again?
This book starts in a fog. Christy had taken some allergies meds and had a few glasses of wine with David and we feel the same way as this amazing story opens. We are not sure if Elvis is real or just an amazing dream. Christy soon realizes that she cares more deeply for David than she though and realizes she wants to make this fake marriage real. Christy is forced to leave Chicago move back to her home town. As much as this is a trip home, Christy is meeting all new people and having to deal with more than just her new husband.
I love that both characters are forced to look at their past and see choices and people in a new light. David sees his parents in a new light after an honest talk with his Grandfather, which may have never happened if he wasn't married. Looking and listening is what both David and Christy realize they must do and to make their relationship really work they need to be honest and really listen, but can they?
It just happens that David's good friend is Sara Michaels. It is great to see where Sara and Sal are and seeing their engaging characters again. This book opens us up to a wonderful set of new characters (good and bad). It is great fun to see this world expand.
Will Christy and David be able to be open and honest with each other and see that they are a perfect fit? Is this Vegas marriage doomed from the start? Take a trip to St. Louis and enjoy this ride with Christy and David. I found some many layers in this book and it was great fun to read and enjoy. As always Cindy Kirk waves a wonderful tale with warm and real characters.

One glass of wine in a Las Vegas lounge after her conference, and Christy is totally unprepared to see the one man she ever loved, who dumped her ten years prior. When David proposes and they end up in front of Elvis that night, she awakes to think she dreamed the wedding. The journey that follows, of unrequited love between the now married couple, has its ups and downs, as they navigate family, friends, memories, and responsibilities.

Kirk drags her hero and heroine through an emotional journey, throws obstacles in their way at every turn, and with the help of friends, family, and their faith, guides them to a hard fought for, happily-ever-after.

Book 4 in the Seriously Sweet St Louis series is a great addition, and gives the readers a chance to catch-up with characters in the books that preceded this book.

This is a quick read that was fun, but left me wishing there was a bit more to the story. I like Christy and David but was frustrated at their lack of communication. It is great they decided to work to make their impulsive marriage work and some good things were happening when another misunderstanding tore them apart. That finally was explained and they had a happy ending with a bright future. I did want more explanations than were given about what happened when they broke up in high school (information Christy never knew), and what led to their impulsive marriage in Las Vegas; I also wanted Blake and his wife's sister to get in trouble for trying to ruin David's chances at the company (I always want evil deeds to have consequences). So while I mostly enjoyed this story, keep in mind it's shorter and won't have the depth of a longer novel.

What would happen if you ran into someone you haven't seen for years, and ended up married in Las Vegas? Well that's what happened with Christy and David.
They had a history back in high school, but things didn't work out. Even though their marriage didn't start out they way they always imagined, they both are determined to try and give this a go. Will they be able to work through the past and create a future?

This is the fourth in the Seriously Sweet St. Louis series. Christy Fairchild gives seminars on love and relationships as a Christian. Her most recent seminar is in Las Vegas over Valentine’s Day. She meets her high school boyfriend, David Warner in the lobby, then after a glass of wine and some Benadryl they end up getting married by Elvis. While both of them have regrets the next morning they agree to stay married as a divorce would not help either of them. Can what starts as a marriage of convenience become more? Overall, an enjoyable Christian themed romance. I only have a few quibbles with this book. Since it was a short read, I felt like we were fast forwarded into the relationship and I would have liked some build up to the marriage. I was given an advanced reader copy of this book from the author and publisher for my honest opinion.

This is another great book by Cindy Kirk in the “Seriously Sweet St. Louis Series”. It can be read as a stand-alone. It is so good to read a story that you have a hard time putting down.

A trip to Las Vegas for Christy Fairchild and David Warren ended differently than they could have imagined. Christy was there to lead a seminar and David was with his family. A chance encounter, a few drinks and discussions on the benefits of marriage for them both, led to a quickie Las Vegas wedding. Waking up sober the next morning had them shocked at what they had done.

Christy and David dated in High School. Christy believed at that time that David was her “forever love”. He broke her heart when he asked for his ring back right before High School graduation. Now they were married and Christy believed that marriage was a lifetime commitment. To really complicate things, Christy has made a name for herself lecturing on the institution of marriage, on ways to make marriages better and more importantly ways to ensure that a couple stayed together, forever. David’s grandfather wouldn’t sign over the family business to him unless he had been married for a year. Another complication is that Lauren, also an old high school friend of Christy’s, is in love with David and has been since high school as well. David had an engagement ring that he was going to give to Lauren while they were in Las Vegas but Christy got it instead. Much to Lauren’s dismay, David has always liked Lauren as a friend but he was not in love with her but he had been in love with Christy years ago and they still had that spark.

This was an enjoyable romance. I loved the characters of Christy and David. They faced some insurmountable obstacles. Gossip, betrayal, forgiveness and love are covered in this amazing story. I am glad they found their happy ever after! I highly recommend this romantic story. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am happy to voluntarily review it.

This was not one of my favorites. I felt the tenuous connection between David and Christy as just much as it was described in the book. It was interesting because often, I can feel the chemistry a couple has even when the story is describing it differently. So in that regard, I have to say the lack of feelings they had for one another, for a large part of the book, were well written.

I wasn't sure until well into the book whether Christy and David even liked one another. At the beginning, I thought he did, but she didn't. Then I thought she did, but he didn't.

I couldn't believe that David was so naive that he didn't see what a threat Lauren was to his situation. I felt like there were some holes in the story that I thought would have been fleshed out more. For example, did Christy and David ever have a discussion about what the housekeeper had done? Did David ever fully explain the situation at the gala? Both his conversation with Tom and hers with Lauren? Also why go to Lauren? Why not go straight to David with what she heard?

The major lack of communication or continued miscommunication that David and Christy had was irritating. Especially when you consider Christy's career. Christy's other situation was obvious from the moment she mentioned something when she was out with Tom and David. Maybe even before that scene.

When it finally felt like David and Christy were on the same page, the book was 75% done and other issues were in play. I can say that I never felt like they were on the same page in terms of their faith.

This was a quick read. It was ok. It never completely came together for me. I felt like something was missing, but I'm not sure what that something was in this book. For me, the epilogue only served to enhance that sense of something being off. I didn't get that sense of satisfaction I usually get after reading one of Cindy Kirk's books.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Sometimes, unexpected and unlikely beginnings spell forever...

When I started reading this book, my first thought is how does a never married woman become a marriage counselor. However, Christy is wise beyond her years and marital status. She often sees things in a relationship that others do not, and this is what makes her such a great marriage counselor. She is not perfect, however. She tends to be overly idealistic and set in her ways. Valentine's Day finds her in Las Vegas for a conference, and this is when things get really interesting.

David was Christy's high school love and coincidentally, was also in las Vegas for Valentine's Day. He also needed a wife and fast, so that he could take over his inheritance. His grandfather's will requires that he be married in order to take over the family business. They meet, have wine and start reminiscing. And wake up married.

How this not-so-unlikely couple navigate married life and the various threats to their forever joy is what makes this story interesting. There are residual feelings, for sure, but can grown up Christy and David recapture the joy of first love? This story tackles all those questions, and then some, with the usual Cindy Kirk flair for storytelling. I got caught in our couple's new life, and wanted the very best for them. An extra treat was revisiting some characters from the series that I had met in other books.

It's always a treat to read Cindy's books, there are always life lessons to be learned and realizations to either remember or realize. To me, the joy of reading is always in what we take after "The End". Cindy's books never, ever fail at that.

**I received an ARC of this book but this review and all opinions in it are my own.

Christy and David dated as high school students, but David broke up with her when she went off to Princeton. Years later, both successful business people, David and Christy meet again in Las Vegas and get married by Elvis in a little chapel on Valentine's Day.

Back in St. Louis, David is reintroducing everyone to Christy. Christy moves her successful marriage seminar headquarters to St. Louis so she can be with David. Both fear that there is an expiration on the marriage, but Christy does not believe in divorce. She is determined to make this marriage work. However, nasty gossip threatens the marriage when Christy believes that David got his ex-girlfriend Lauren pregnant. Without listening to David, Christy moves out, but she too is feeling ill. She goes to the doctor to find out that she IS pregnant. After meeting with David, Christy finds out that the nasty rumor was just that - a rumor. Lauren is not pregnant, she was just considering artificial insemination. David is thrilled that Christy is pregnant and they live happily ever after, making marriage and their jobs work.

Another great, clean read by Ms. Kirk. Characters are well developed and relatable. She loves to weave established characters from her other novels in the series into her new books and make them part of the fabric of the story.

In this #4th book in the Seriously Sweet Series we meet Christy and David. When both were teenagers they dated and Christy thought he was going to be the one but before their prom he broke up with her without any reasoning. Fast forward ten years later she is an established Marriage counselor giving speeches all around but yet still single. David is gearing to be in charge of his family business but his grandfather has put a stipulation, in order of him to take over the reins he wants David to be married.
Both Christy and David end up in Vegas unbeknownst to each other. They both ended running into each other in a lobby of the restaurant/hotel and before you know it they started drinking reminiscing about their past and next we find out they end up getting a quickie marriage with Elvis impersonator.
Christy wakes up thinkin all of it was a dream until she sees David partly naked in her room and then she realizes its not a dream. So begins this wonderful story each deciding it would benefit them being married but both still wounded by their past. This was a wonderful Christian storyline going back to times of couples waiting to be married before being intimate with each other. Lovely continuation of the series. Was giving an arc for an honest review.

With Just One Kiss is book 4 in the Seriously Sweet St. Louis Series, but can be read as a standalone.

The book starts off with a wedding between David and Christy in Las Vegas. For starters, I’ve always said that if I ever got married it would be in Las Vegas by Elvis. So needless to say, I loved this right from the start! Christy wakes up the morning following the wedding wondering if it was all a dream….you see, they had indulged in a little too much wine. She quickly finds out that it WAS NOT a dream!

I thought this book had something that I haven’t read in any of Cindy’s other books and that was “another woman”. David was dating another woman, with the intention of asking her to marry him, BUT what happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas. This other woman isn’t quite so quick to let the idea of her relationship with David go. To make matters even more complicated, Christy and this other woman used to be friends in high school.

With Just One Kiss is true to the Seriously Sweet Series name in the fact that it is “Seriously Sweet”. It’s a heart-warming story with lessons on love, forgiveness and what can happen when you gossip.

10 years later and a second chance!

10 years later and a second chance! All it took was one kiss and a marriage in Vegas! Christy and David were high school sweethearts, but David broke up with Christy right before the year ended and she had no clue as to why. Ten years later they bump into each other in Vegas, David is there to meet with his grandfather and propose to his best friend Lauren (who he dated off and on and was once Christy’s best friend) as one of the stipulations he has for the family business is to be a family man. Christy was there in Vegas for business as she speaks about marriage and making it work.

Well after they bump into each other and grab a drink at the bar, then end up at the chapel on Valentine’s Day getting married because Elvis had a cancellation. Of course this is all in Christy’s dream so she thinks until she is about to get up to get ready to check out and catch her flight back home. Love that the story has to points of view to it. One a man thinking that a woman with a career cannot be a wife and mother and two a woman believing that a marriage is not something that you should just divorce from without a fighting chance to make it work!

With Just One Kiss is the fourth in the Seriously Sweet St. Louis series but is also a stand alone story. This is a story of a chance encounter with a first love that quickly evolves into a spur of the moment marriage in a Vegas Chapel. Christy and David dated in high school and she thought they would be together always until David suddenly breaks up with her. She has built a career holding faith-based relationship seminars in which she travels extensively. David's grandfather says he must be married in order to take over the family business, so he is looking for a wife who will stay home to raise the children. Although not the marriage they both want, they are determined to try and make it work but outside influences are interfering with their happily ever after. The story that follows is filled with hopes, dreams, misunderstandings, mischief-makers and a sweet love story to fill your heart with happiness.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Christy Fairchild did not believe in sex before marriage. After waking up from a drunken night in Vegas, she finds out that she had spent the night with her childhood boyfriend, David Warner. Christy and David had not seen each other in 10 years but the feelings were still present. David had planned to ask his friend, Lauren, to marry him to satisfy his grandfather’s stipulation that he needs to be married to take over the family business. After spending time with Christy, he realizes she is still the one. Their night continued with a trip to the alter.

This story has a lot going on. This couple has a past that ended without a definite conclusion. There is also a lot of people involved that are not necessarily happy for this union. Both Christy and David have very busy lives. Christy is a relationship specialist and motivational speaker. She moved back to their hometown to be with David and to give this relationship a try. This couple never seems to be on the same page with outside influences, readers will not know how this ends.

Christy and David are very soulful characters. They both grab your heart and you will feel for them and their circumstances. Readers will want everything this couple wants for themselves and more. As with other books in this series, there is a spiritual undertones. David is also friends with Sara Michaels and Sal Tucci. Readers get to see their future as well. I have fallen in love with this series and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

With Just One Kiss is the fourth in the Seriously Sweet St. Louis series but it can also be read as a standalone. Christy and David dated in high school but broke up and went their separate ways. After a chance meeting in Vegas and a spur of the moment marriage in a Vegas Chapel, the book tells the story of how they reconnect and whether or not they fall in love. Christy's career centres around faith-based relationship seminars where she has to travel extensively.

We discover that David has to get married as his grandfather says he must be married in order to take over the family business. He thinks that Christy can stay at home and just raise their children. There are disagreements and even though the marriage started under unusual circumstances both Christy and David want to make it work. The story is a sweet romance that feels very real and you route for the marriage to work. Cindy has written another engaging, easy to read story that I really enjoyed.

With Just One Kiss is the fourth in the Seriously Sweet St. Louis series . If you haven't read the others they are all stand alone , but I would highly recommend doing so as Cindy Kirk is a marvelous story teller. This is a story of a chance encounter with a first love that quickly evolves into a spur of the moment marriage in Vegas of all places. Christy and David dated in high school and she thought they would be together always until David suddenly breaks up with her. The story that follows is filled with hopes, dreams, misunderstandings, and a sweet love story. I really enjoyed reading their love story and how with some people you never get over your first love. The story was well thought out and so charming. I did love seeing Sara and Sal from book 3 and hopefully a glimpse of who we will see in book 5.

Christy is a motivational speaker about marriage, putting God and your partner first. She and David have known each other for years. They used to date. They meet up in Vegas and decide to get married. David needs to get married to get his company from his Grandfather. The have someone in their marriage, Lauren. She has loved David as long as Christy has. David was actually going to propose to Lauren, and she knew it, and was excited for it. David is married but Lauren does her best to show David what he missed by not picking her.  There are people trying to break up their marriage, spreading rumors, and talking behind their backs. Luckily everything is sorted out at the end of the book. Christy has their son, Max. In the epilogue she tells David she is pregnant again.
Up next is Sunshine in Her Smile, Lauren and Alex's story.

I loved this book. This is the love story of Christy and David and the ups and downs of their relationship from being childhood sweetheart but breaking up to meeting again after 10 years and marrying within hours in Vegas. I found that sometimes I wanted to strangle David and wish that he would see what was right in front of his face. He had very set ways on what he viewed as wanting in a wife and gradually realised that love was more important for his happiness. Christy never gave up hope of working it out until a misunderstanding threatened to ruin them forever. Needless to say Cindy always has HEA and this book is no difference. Totally recommend this book as couldn’t put it down.

David and Christy may have started their married life on the flip of a coin but God used it for good.

They had a love connection in high school that came back as they got to know each other in their current stage of life.

Unfortunately, the people in their life tried to use gossip and miscommunication for breaking them up.

Christy helped David learn how to communicate with each other. It took them awhile to set their feelings aside to really talk and share what they wanted in life with each other.

I love when some of the other characters from Seriously Sweet in St Louis show up. Sara really had a part in this couples life.

I was blessed to ARC so I could write a review. I read it in one afternoon because I couldn’t put it down.

Everyone says "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" however for Christy Fairchild and David Warner things become hazy after one drunken night, when they reunite after ten years.

Christy has a career of helping couples to have better marriages. So when she wakes up with a hangover, she soon discovers that the amazing dream she was just having, wasn't a dream after all.

David Warner needs a bride, on his way to meet up with his grandfather, cousin, his wife and his best friend, he bumps into his high school girlfriend.

His original plan was to marry his best friend!

Can they make a go of their marriage?

Read this 5 star book from Cindy Kirk and become the fly on the wall!

I received an advanced copy of this book and am reviewing it voluntarily.

I love how well rounded Cindy Kirk writes in With Just One Kiss. It's heartfelt and uplifting, and makes you feel like the good in people will prevail.

Christy Fairchild's heart was broken by the love of her life while in high school. She never in a million years would have thought that love would again become apart of her life again.

David Warner was dealing with a problem and while he was in Las Vegas he generated a solution to that problem and her name is Christy Fairchild.

Old feelings come back in a chance meeting in Las Vegas when two old sweethearts run into each other again.
Will this chane meeting become a new beginning for both of them?
Read to find out!
Enjoy!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Sometimes time and distance can’t stop true love. Whilst it may not seem appropriate with modern social standards, marrying someone right after reconnecting is not completely unbelievable. Who doesn’t love a marriage of convenience turned romance? Especially when there’s an obnoxious ex-girlfriend trying to undo the marriage? Christy and David’s story is just that exciting. Although, I can do without Christy’s savior complex when a rumor forms about the ex-girlfriend. I did love the return of Sal and Sara to the story. If you’re a fan of the first three books in the Seriously Sweet zest. Louis series, don’t let this story slip through your fingers!

This 2nd chance love story was adorable and couldn’t put it down once I started. Christy and David dated in high school and she thought they’d be together forever. But David didn’t want to make her stay and give up her dreams so he let her go. 10 years later they run into each other in Las Vegas and next thing you know - they’re married. They decide to give it a second shot rather than divorce or annul the marriage. After a rocky path, they end up with their HEA. While it was obvious what rocks were coming up in their path, I couldn’t wait to see how they actually handled them. This book was a great addition to the Seriously Sweet series. High school love, break-ups to better the other...life taking its toll, ups and downs...
What are the odds? Vegas, hotel lobby, Valentine’s weekend 10 years later. What’s the saying...what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Waking from an amazing dream of the “one who got away” only to realize you’ve married that “one,” this wasn’t a dream...and where to go from here!
Sometimes a push in an unexpected direction is just what us needed...but can Christy and David see this amazing opportunity as it is? Or is this just a means to an end, and they’ll go their separate ways??

This series is like a sweet, little hug. I love the sweetness of the series as a whole.

This story was a second chance romance, which is one of my favorite tropes! I love the idea of something coming back to you if it's meant to be. And an impulse marriage in Vegas, so fun!

I did feel like parts of this story were set up but not carried through (I kept waiting for the shoe to drop with the cousin and his wife), but that did not take away from the love between Christy and David that evolved.

I loved the story, the author didn't waste any time getting the story rolling and I really liked the characters. In addition to the usual themes of love and faith in the series, this book had lot of gossip and lies, to the point that towards the climax I was getting uncomfortable and physically cringing at those aspects.

But that is quickly resolved and love wins. The epilogue was particularly satisfying seeing friendships being mended and nurtured.

This is the fourth in the Seriously Sweet St. Louis series but can totally be read as a stand-alone. This is a quick clean read that had a fun premise but due to the short length felt a little "choppy" in the flow. This story follows the journey of David and Christy - married on a whim in Las Vegas now facing the struggles of a married life together as they navigate family, friends, memories, and responsibilities. Overall it was a quick- enjoyable read for a lazy day.

Seemed a bit farfetched for a Christian romance. The lead female (who was a christian and did christian seminars) met an old high school boyfriend in Vegas, went out to dinner, took a benedryl and had some alcohol, somehow ended up married to and having sex with said high school boyfriend. She woke the next day and didn't remember a thing. As I said this is a farfetched premise since this based on the lead female being a christian, who also conducts seminars on how to be a better christian.
