As it turns out, I'm finding it difficult to empathize with this pedophile...

Also, there's too much description. I don't need to know every minute detail of the room. Throw me an action verb every once in a while.

I really tried my best to apprehend what the heck happened to those last 10 pages about her family and especially to James. there's so much metaphor on the last chapter which it doesn't really make sense to me. overall, this book really has the potential. it just didn't fully gel with me.
