So when I said I was going to read something different, I did but different didn't last very long did it lol. This is again a new author for me, and yea another home run! I am bound to run into some bad luck with new authors eventually but I am glad that I didn't in this one. Based of the synopsis, I was expecting the typical Alpha Male story, but surprisingly I got a very different story. Fox gave us a story of two characters that had to overcome their sordid and painful past in order to find happiness with one another. By finding happiness they were able to find themselves along the way.
Arden was the social outcast in her small town. Her mothers mistakes were attached to her and caused her nothing but pain for all of her life, even after she was able to escape her tormentors followed her. However, Arden doesn't let it affect her. Yes she is jade and has a very negative outlook on life but she is a genuinely good person.
Exton seems to have everything going right for him in his life. He is rich, powerful, a woman in his bed every night. To everyone around him his life looks perfect, but in reality his life is anything but perfect. Exton longs for a family. A wife and kids, the whole nine yards. However, these thing don't just happen over night Exton just has to be patient and he plans on having his fun until then.
When Exton and Arden meet its instant sparks fly between the two of them . Exton knows she is the one for him and Arden know he is going to hurt her. Arden runs before she can get hurt, but Exton wont let her go that easily. Fox gives us a typical cat and mouse game between these two, however we discover that life is not always how it seems on the outside. Arden was not just teased, she was tormented to the point that she has become jaded with love. She no longer believes that love exists. So when Exton shows up in her life, she does not believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Exton has to work to be with Arden, while Arden needs to work to understand that Exton will always be there for her. This is not a rose and sunshine kind of story. These two have there ups and downs but we are shown that any relationship worth anything is worth fighting for, and fight these two will do in order to survive.

Wonderful
Arden is so much more than she believes. Extinct is the perfect man to show her that. That cliffhanger though.....
I love how the second part is more Extons’ point of view, shows you how all in he was from the start.

5 Must Read Stars!!!
I read each of these books as they were released and these are my reviews. I absolutely loved Exton and Arden’s story.
Strictly Temporary
Ella Fox has never failed me when I need a good read and this book was no exception!
Arden and Exton’s electricity leap’s right off the page. Arden resists Exton so much in the beginning because she has been burned in the past and doesn’t want it to happen again. But Exton being Exton and having a sweet, sexy, dirty mouth eventually wins her over…
“If we don’t leave right now, “ he murmers, “I’m going to have you up against this wall and I won’t stop until you’ve come so many times that you can’t bear the idea of having even one more moment of pleasure. I’ve never in my life wanted anyone the way I want you. Beautiful. You bring me to my fucking knees”
See what I mean?! HOT!!!! Not only do we get introduced to these great characters, but we also get reunited with Dante and Sabrina!! Bonus!!! Who doesn’t love the idea of the Harts making an appearance or two or twenty. I floved this book so much I read it in one sitting. I cannot wait for more of Exton and Arden.
Strictly Temporary Part 2
Well after reading and absolutely loving Strictly Temporary Part 1, with that lovely little cliffhanger, lol, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. It was so worth the wait! I loved every minute of it!.
Arden is such a fabulous character because even after everything that has happened to her she is still such a good person. She is just so scared to believe that Exton really loves her and to give herself completely to him. The beauty is when she does his response just kinda melts your heart.
Exton is just a guy (who happens to be sexy as hell and ooh that mouth of his..) looking for his girl and now that he found her he’s not ever going to let her go!
This story was a beautiful conclusion to an awesome love story! Add to that the lol banter between the guys and the sweetest additions of the Hart kids and you can’t help but enjoy this read!!

Review for the first half of boxset (vol 1):
Let me start off by saying I love that Ella incorporated her characters from my favorite series of hers (my favorite so far anyway, it's starting to get difficult to choose, I love them all). I missed them and it was good to have them around again.
Ardy is the woman who has went through some pretty awful things in her past. She ends up moving to start over, and starts working at Hart International. She finally has a friend, she's slowly discovering herself.
Exton is the man who has it all. He's perfect. Or so the world thinks. But he's had his fair share of betrayal and judgment.
Both never thought love was in the future, at least not the immediate future. They find love with each other, and it may be rough and bumpy, but it's also soft and sweet, and hot and dirty.
The one thing I have to say is I love them both and can't wait for Strictly Temporary Volume 2!!! I wish it was longer, but that's just cuz I'm greedy and impatient. This is one that's a definite must read, and then reread.

Fantastic conclusion for this series!! When the truth is exposed The Harts and Exton show Arden such a fierce love and protectiveness its a beautiful feeling. When I read this I thought FINALLY!! Closure!! So many people go through things in life and never get closure. It's heartbreaking. Not only did she get closure, she faced her demons head on and for once was the one standing over someone, not taking any crap from anyone. She was strong, fierce, and beautiful while she stood there with the people who love her at her side looking at the man that she once thought ruined her life. Arden grew into a fierce independance it was a beautiful story and not only that but she found love. Exton proved to her once and for all that nothing about them is strictly temporary.

Exton is enamored with Arden upon first sight. He is drawn to her and does not fully understand why but knows that he must break through her barriers in order to win her heart. Arden was really damaged by her ex-husband and his friends who were over-the-top with the bullying. Although Arden claims to have moved on, she really hasn't. Exton spends most of the book paying for the mistakes of Arden's past and she uses every excuse in the book to push him away. I did not like Arden for most of this book and found her to be downright mean and vindictive to Exton, even though she knows how that feels. When Exton finally breaks through to Arden, her past comes back to try to destroy her again and she does her usual job of running away. The Hart family takes her under their wing and they try to get her to see that she should not be ashamed but lean on Exton to get through this. Exton was no choir boy before he met Arden but he did change his ways from his own scandal 10 years prior and showed great patience in allowing Arden to throw it in his face several times. This two volume book completed their story and it was wrapped up nicely.

Very good book. Loved the premises. The hero was everything I want in one and the hero. The heroine grew from a young naive girl to stronger more cynical woman. I typically would of though the heroine was too weak after her mistrust in the first book. But she grew and learned from that. she didn't keep making the same mistakes. Both were good characters.

A persistent hero who is also sexy as Hell.
Vol 1 is Arden's POV and Vol 2 is Exton's POV
There are some repeated scenes at the beginning of Exton's POV but it isn't much and this is also the one where the story wraps up, so I wouldn't skip it.

I am really over the alpha male who basically TELLS the woman she is his and he is not going anywhere. Isn't that called stalking and coercion?? The writing was decent and I liked the conflict which was the only saving grace.
