The Dragon's Hoard

Rate this book
Dragons are well known for their hoards—but not all hoards are created equal. A young dragon starts his hoard with some very precious gifts. One dragon shares her complaints about taxes with a friend as they wait for a lunch delivery. Another dragon defends her most precious treasures against a group of greedy goblins. And yet another may hold the solution to saving the Earth after a devastating apocalypse in his collection of bottled treasures. In addition to the normal gold, silver and jewels here you will find dragons who collect many different treasures. 28 storytellers invite you to enter The Dragon’s Hoard and share the treasures within.

A native Texan, Carol found her way to her current home in Colorado by way of a five-year detour in The Nederlands - courtesy of her husband Tim and the US Air Force.

An avid reader at a young age, her strong desire to write came from her love of (her husband calls it obsession with) Star Trek. It was this early love of Star Trek that led her to the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres.

Carol's family includes her husband Tim; their son John; and her four-footed canine friend Kans, all of whom somehow manage to tolerate her imaginary friends and worlds.

In addition to her own writing she is an acquisitions editor for Flying Pen Press - also located in Colorado. She also edits and publishes two on-line magazines - The Lorelei Signal and Sorcerous Signals.

Published by Sky Warrior Books, The Dragon’s Hoard is a themed anthology where every story has two things: a dragon, and a hoard. Exactly how those two words are interpreted is entirely up to the author, and there are a lot of different interpretations spread across twenty-seven stories.
As always, no rating and no opinion from me for a volume I'm in. You couldn’t trust it, anyway. Are there good stories in The Dragon’s Hoard? Absolutely. Do I think you should buy it? Of course. I have a story in the book, after all.
