This book was packed with different ideas for gardening activities.. most are for people who would have to garden in tight/urban spaces. There were still a few good ideas for classroom/group teaching and some projects could be adapted to a larger yard. I flagged a lot of pages for further consideration.
Great book on creative gardening projects, mostly in tight spaces and with kids. Projects from very easy to do with kids, to needing a circular saw/angle grinder/drill. Friendly writing style exudes enthusiasm and inspires confidence. Lots of great photos, tips, techniques, recommendations, and clear and complete how-tos. They include several "Top 5" lists that are very helpful: kid-friendly plants to grow, recycled raised garden beds, vertical garden goodies to grow. Nothing frou-frou or twee here. The authors are out of Australia, but reading this in the US, I could barely tell. A suppliers resource is greatly needed. I had a big problem reading all the white type over dark backgrounds! Otherwise, fabulous!
Don't be fooled by the cover, this book is a waste of time unless you don't have a functioning brain stem. It is full of projects a 5 year old could come up with. This is more of an arts and crafts word vomit than a creative resource for gardening. I wish I could have the time I spent reading it back.
I found the formatting of this book terribly distracting, right from the start with the white, sans-serif text laid out over photos. It was literally difficult to read.
I won’t rate this one but I did read it all...hoping to find ideas for small, raised bed or containers for around the patio. I cannot use most of these ides, but it was fun.
