Keira gave up on love and romance years ago when an abusive boyfriend took control of her life. She’s since learned to live in the moment without fear of anyone’s judgement.
Trick has wanted to be part of this Soul Shifters business from the beginning. He grew jealous of the cool abilities his friends discovered when they met their soulmate. He wanted a super power, too, until the warehouse collapse left him paralyzed. Now, the class clown has lost his way to crippling hopelessness and depression.
The others are convinced that Trick has a role in this and Sadie attempts to set him up on a blind date. He goes into the date with every intention of sabotaging it, but he’s met his match with Keira. She refuses to indulge his self-pity and before long, Trick is laughing with her in spite of himself.
The two form a tight bond, but neither know if they’re connected to the Soul Shifters. It’s a race against time to discover their secrets, tap into the magic they share and learn to wield it before the Darkness destroys the entire state with a massive Category 5 hurricane.
I found it too cliché, too superficial, nothing really happened, the shifting was inexpressive and the hero is a teenager. He had a couple of bitter witty lines, but that was all.
I would've given it 3 stars if the writer had enphasized the right points in the story. It's a short story, she writes well, but it lacked harmony in the arch on top of all that.
The writing was quite good but had an issue with all the disjointed jumping around. Maybe if I had read the other books may have made more sense. This was my 1st by this author. Too fast in the sack ( even if earth was ending soon stuff) and felt like the disability was not fleshed out or accurate in his abilities. He should have been able to do more; like jump 1 step with his wheel chair and muscly arms and chest; and the whole miracle cure was weird. Yea, I get it. Not complete miracle but was odd to me and very confusing with all the characters during epilogue.
Redeemed is the 5th and final book of the Soul Shifters Series. It has been an exciting THRILLING journey. I hate to see it go, but I do know that Sennah has many more exciting stories waiting in the wings.
This story features Keira, a sexy, audacious, dare to be different beauty who is Sadie's best friend; Trick is still suffering from pent-up rage after being paralyzed when Preston was destroyed at the warehouse crumble. Sadie believes that Trick needs love in his life, so she sets him up on blind dates. Trick is ill-mannered with every woman until Keira. Keira sets him on fire, and all he wants is to please her.....A hurricane and the DEADLY DARKNESS IS COMING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH......
The story is jammed packed with amazing impressive and engaging characters, camaraderie, life threatening incidents, banter superb, scene descriptions fabulous, amazing reveals, monsters wreaking havoc, sizzling earth-shattering heart-pounding pulsating romance that will have you awe-struck, and an ending of a captivating series that will melt your heart and make you smile......
Exciting incredible well written read. Sennah has definitely pushed the boundaries of imagination with this enthralling unique series. I loved every minute of this journey with the Soul Shifters.. In a series the possibilities are endless and fascinating.... {I received a romance arc for an honest review}. Without reservations I highly recommend this book, the author, and of course the series.....
I got a digital copy of this book via Romance ARCade in exchange for an honest review.
Redeemed is the final segment of the Soul Shifters series, and though I really liked the couple, the resolution of the ongoing fight against evil wasn't satisfying.
The romance seemed rushed, and the malicious entity they'd been fighting all this time was much too easy to defeat.
If you're reading the series as a whole, this works, but this part didn't live up to the first four parts of the serial.
I was gifted this Arc in exchange for an honest review. Well the end has arrived and what a wonderful journey it has been. This is Trick and Keke's story. It is just as wonderful as the other 4. This book has a surprise twist in the plot. Plus the finish is great. I thoroughly like the whole series, but personally I think this one was the best.
