True-crime account of the murder of Helen Hagnes Mintiks, a 30-year-old violinist, which took place at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1980. The murder is described in the first chapter and the rest of the book follows the investigation, focusing on the dedication and hard work of the two lead detectives. I'd probably give it 3 1/2 stars if that were an option - it's a toss-up between 3 and 4 stars, so I just bumped it up to 4.

Yes,this book was written in the 80's and techniques are very different ,but the book still can hold the attention of me and anyone who loves the true fiction/detective crime genre.
