Drawing on the popularity of the Pout-Pout Fish, this board book introduces the letters of the alphabet through his undersea world. Starting with A for Angelfish and concluding with Z for Zebra Fish, the book is filled with sparkles and elements that are fun for young readers to touch while they are learning their ABCs. Youngsters are sure to want to talk about the different images in this book with its focus on marine life, and some may even be inspired to make up their own stories about what's happening in each scene. One thing is for sure: There will be very little pouting by anyone reading this book. Who, after all, could resist a Hammerhead Shark with a glittery body?

The alphabet is used to point out 26 not that well known different fish, one of which you already know. Read to my 2 year old grandson.

My son loved this book, especially the interactive illustrations. I’d give it a 5, but they classified the orca as “W Whale”

I like books with more interesting animals since we've been doing a lot of alphabet books lately.

Very weak on the touch and feel elements. Why bother with that if you’re going to phone it in that hard? There are also many, many inconsistencies and factual inaccuracies. To wit:

* none of the illustrations feature any human clothes except the baby sea turtle has a backpack for some reason??
* the image for W for whale shows an orca? They are not whales (despite the name “killer whale”). There are so many good whales to chose from! Why this??
* Z is for zebra fish. A freshwater fish. I.E. not “undersea.” Which, I get it, Z is hard. But zebra moray eels exist and are extremely cool!
* Why is the lantern fish actually a picture of an angler fish?

Pout-Pout Fish doesn’t even have pouty lips :(

A beautifully illustrated book of a fish for every letter of the alphabet. Loved the touch and feel aspect but wish there were more. Liked the simple text and bright colored pictures. Baby and up. Baby might be a stretch for length.
