Liz Benning is a successful, professional woman. When she thought about her 35th birthday, she pictured a nice dinner, a sappy chick flick with some gratuitous frontal nudity, and cake – lots of cake – with her best friend.
She certainly didn’t envision male strippers, public humiliation, or a night in the police station.
Those things just aren’t her, even if the events of that night do result in the hottest sex of her life.
When his younger brother calls out of the blue to tell him he’s getting married, Miles Grayson is concerned. After all, rushing to the altar didn’t work out so well for him.
At forty, Miles is finally at a point where he can start enjoying his life. He’s still got his movie star good looks, is at the top of the sales and marketing game, and has the freedom to go anywhere and do anything – and anyone - he wants.
And right now, he wants to keep his brother from making the same mistake he did.
Finding the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with is an unexpected bonus.

All Night Woman is a fabulous contemporary romance by Abbie Zanders. Ms. Zanders has once again delivered a book that is well-written. The characters and dialog are outstanding. Liz is turning 35. After a humiliating night involving male strippers, bouncers and the police, she meets Miles. Miles is a businessman that travels constantly but arrives at his brother's when he gets a call that he's getting married, to talk him out of it. Miles and Liz's story is loaded with drama, sexy bits and humor. I enjoyed reading All Night Woman and look forward to reading more from Abbie Zanders soon. All Night Woman is book 2 of the Covendale Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I enjoyed this book. Really liked Miles and Liz story. Liz best friend Holly falls in love and is getting married to Adam. Adam's brother comes to town and Liz falls in love but he doesn't show her the same at first.
Two people who don't really believe in "The One" - will they change their minds
Liz doesn't believe in finding her one true love but after her best friend recently found her, she is hopeful but realistic. Since his divorce years ago, Miles has been a player and doesn't believe in love anymore. The first time they meet sparks fly, but they think it was a fluke. The next time they meet, they spend a weekend together with sparks everywhere. Now feelings are getting involved but they weren't supposed to. When they go to Vegas with Holly and Adam to elope, lots of feelings are hurt along with a broken heart. Can Miles make things right and get Liz to see the truth in his words and feelings? What happens when he follows her to her parents in Florida?
What is it with the Grayson brothers? They both treat their women badly by ignoring them until they "work out their personal issues", but leave her in the dark. Liz even says, actions speak louder than words. Arranging a party, where everyone else dies the " action" is not the same as showing up in the day to day and actually communicating instead of waiting until it's convenient for him. Once again. I know he romanced her in an over the top way afterwards, but that , to me, doesn't make up for the heartache he caused and exacerbated by ignoring her when it counted. She deserved better.
Holly and Adam are in love and getting married. Where does that leave Liz? When she and Holly go out to celebrate her birthday, the night proves to be very disappointing. Liz comes away with a blow to her self-esteem. When Adam's brother Miles, offers to give her a ride home she is impressed with his gentlemanly manners, but just assumed he picked her. Could she be wrong? Miles is handsome, successful, wealthy, and nice to be with. Liz is convinced he couldn't want her. Good story with well defined characters.
Liz Benning & Miles Grayson are, on paper, each other's ideal mate. There's no doubt they are able to rock each other's world but they both have a propensity for saying or doing the wrong thing when they are not in the bedroom. The problem is that they are miserable apart but won't admit it to anyone else let alone themselves. It finally takes a grand gesture and some groveling for this couple to get their HEA!
Liz never thought she'd find what Holly had with Adam. After a disastrous birthday party that ends at the police station, Holly has her fiance come get the released. Enter Adam's brother Miles. They lit a flame that couldn't be extinguished but can Liz get over her feelings of being used?
Loved that the storyline held my interest and the tie ins with Five Minute Man, which I also enjoyed a great deal.
I especially enjoyed the age and life trials and tribulations the main characters had. As an older woman, I tire the young twenties characters at times. I found All Night Woman to be very refreshing.
Another lovely fun, sassy read. Liz and Miles were a Steamy intense combination and it was so much fun watching them flounder. This author has managed to intwine all the best qualities into these books, heat, humour, friendship and personal growth. I've loved every second of it.
All Night Woman is a great follow up to Five Minute Man and a seriously HOT, yet touching story of finding love a second time around. I loved Miles determination and stamina when faced with Sal's continued resistance to anything more meaning than the physical aspects of a relationship and the courage it took to let down their defences and grasp their HEA. I can't wait to read book three!
Disenchanted with this story, I had to push to get through it . I liked the first story in the series but was bothered by words repeated (poor attention to detail), as well as characters that just weren't likeable. I gave it a 4 rating because the characters stayed consistent throughout but I never felt a friendship with any of them.
Liz and Miles. A great follow up to the Five Minute Man (Liz's best friend and Miles' brother). This is a standalone story but so much better when read after book 1. Liz is hardworking IT and Miles is divorced driven world traveling sales. Call it fate or the Cupid factor, prepare for complications and challenges. Bravo!! Loved it! I am already on Book 3.
When you are fortunate enough to find that 'one' special person to spend your life with that feeling doesn't go away. Abbie is such a gifted writer who pulls the reader deep into the story. Miles and Liz's story is a perfect example of this.
You didn't have to buy this book. YES I did! It started with five minute man! And I had to know if Liz met her man. I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed! Funny ,sexy older couples are a must!
Enjoyable follow up to five minute man. Struggled to like miles who was a real player and pretty poor father. That said he comes into his own by the end. Liz lacked the bite from the previous book but was likeable enough.
Fun and enjoyable. Two strong independent personalities do tend to clash when coming together and Liz and Miles are no different. However, when they pit their pride away they realized the love they thought they would never find.
Sweet story although I thought it needed to be longer he won Liz over too quickly but he was a good salesman. Loved her father and wish he played a bit more in the story.
Story about Liz, who is about to turn 35 (and is depressed about it) and Miles, the brother of her BFF's fiance... whose relationship is apparently covered in Five Minute Man. Holly takes Liz out for her birthday and they end up getting detained by the police... which was certainly amusing. Miles goes with Adam to the police station to pick up the ladies and that's our meet-cute.
The rest of the story is about Liz getting over her self-esteem issues and Miles pulling his head out of his a** so that he can admit he's into her. He makes awful choices in his journey to figure himself. Neither of them are very confident in themselves or in relationships and that's the source of drama/tension in the story. What was missing was the relationship beyond the hot sex. The character even questions if they could be more. So where was it??
This is a standalone with an HEA, and despite the fact that I hadn't read the first book in the series, I didn't think I was missing anything. There are also some pretty steamy scenes between the two which was enjoyable... although I think it odd that he would take her away for the weekend to a Poconos resort with a champagne jacuzzi (like ew) but whatever.
There are unresolved stories here... Liz and birth control/pregnancy. It's brought up once, but then never again. Why was it even necessary? Holly's Vegas wedding and pregnancy... did I miss the part about when/if she told her mother? The most intriguing thing about this book is the missing brother, Nick, who is mourning the loss of his wife... where is he? Did he even know his sister got married or that his father has dementia? Is he book 3??
I won a free copy of this book thanks to the First Reads giveaway program in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I thought that this was a good book. It was short, and probably not all that memorable, but I am definitely glad that I got a chance to read it. The only things that I did not like were: 1) The title - It makes Liz sound like a sleazy woman, which she in no way was. 2) The very end. - I didn't think it was very dignified or tasteful to end the book with a bit of dialogue during a hump session.
Anyway, I did like the main characters, especially Liz and Holly. I really liked their friendship, and both of their unique personalities respectively. I thought that Miles was an alright character, not my type of dream guy, but it worked for the story, so that's all that matters.
There were some X rated moments in the book, and plenty of orgasms. That's not usually the type of stuff I read, but I don't think the book went too far with anything. That being said, the warning at the beginning of the book that this one is for those aged 21+ was a good call. haha
I was also surprised that this is a second book in a series. It totally read as a stand alone book, so that's good. Most books that are a part of a series either leave you blind, with no idea what's going on, or drive you bonkers setting up the story from where the last one left off.
I would recommend this book for anyone who's a fan of romance, chic lit, or 50 Shades of Grey (which I refuse to read personally.) I did feel like the man in this book (Miles Gray) was a nod to Christian Grey. lol
I m not sure why I read it, I said before in book one, I m not eager to read the second but I did it. Maybe it is short, kill the time easy.
I do know what it is, not expectation, no surprise, just a same o same o, woman in hesitation, man in confuse. Move on or keep it cool. Both r in the middle age, they r successful n protect what they own. To give up them sometime wasn't easy. How many guys like Miles, give up his six figures annual income n back to college? Someone did but it needs brave too much courage.
Loved the book about Holly and Adam and now Liz and Miles. Just waiting for Brandon to fall. I recommend this author. Her love stories are so moving. Miles really was a player and had made many wrong turns in his life that Liz was just to good to be true. Didn't think he would ever figure it out and Liz was way too forgiving. Do wish he had traveled more but what he did for her parents. WOW
This was my first book to read from Abbie Zanders and i did not realize until i was half way thru it that it was the second book in the series, I plan to read book one because i really do like the writing style and the story line. This is Liz and Miles story and while it is not a typical love story it is a very good story and it has some very good sex in it. I am on my way to read book 1 then wait for Brendon's story.
Another great read by this author. We met Liz in the previous book Five Minute Man as Holly's best friend and knew Miles was Adam's brother. Although this book didn't have the same bite to it as the previous story it was still a really enjoyable read. I just hope this is not the end of the series as I would like to see how Brandon gets his HEA and it would be good to find out what has happened with Liz's brother Nick. Just a thought to the author.
I loved the story although I must confess that I like a stronger heroine. Liz was a bit unsure of herself but she had backbone when it counted. Miles gave up a bit too easily for my taste but he did finally pursue with single mindedness with little prodding. Other than that; it was a sexy and romantic read. Way to go Abbie Zanders.
4+ stars. I really have enjoyed all of the books I've read from this author. This one is yet again a fun, sexy, easy love story. Love all the in the now references such as Damon Salvatore, just makes it feel really current. Also like how the women are portrayed. They have lots of character & strength.
