After the previous cliffhanger we knew where this was going and it's just another thing Chloe doesn't need right now, how is she even supposed to deal with this considering the life she's had and what she been through.
Just when she thinks things couldn't get any worse she gets the news she's been dreading Jesse is due for early release and her nightmares just became real, she knows it's only a matter of time until he finds her, a new identity, contacts and hair dye won't be enough to save her.
Derek, what does she do about Derek, she can't ignore her feeling and the attraction she feels towards him but she doesn't know if she can go there.
With her nerves strung out she's on the edge and it's only a matter of time before something breaks, she's kept everything bottled in and it's time she told someone else.
This again is a compelling read and this time we knew what the cliffhanger would be, it's straight on to the next book for me where I'm hoping Chloe finally opens up to Derek.

This is the second part, picks right up where the first one left off. We learn the truth about Derek's wife and her possible connection to Chloe. Another huge twist for Chloe and she has no idea how to handle and deal with it. Plus add in her growing attraction to Derek when she wants nothing to do with men. She's taking a big risk being with Derek. Then on top of all that Jesse is getting out early and she's has to be on guard because she knows he's coming to finish the job. This story grabs you right on and the next thing you know it's midnight. Very powerful characters with strong emotions. The ending leaves me very nervous yet anticipating the next part.

Double wow

Started part 2 immediately after part one. I can't stop reading. That saying that you are so into a book? That was me. The characters, the storyline grabbed me and I couldn't put it down. Needless to say I got NO work done today. So fellow readers be prepared to just read as you won't be able to stop. Starting Part 3 as soon as I hit submit.

Scarred 2 Chloe continues to have her doubts about Derek. When she sees a photo of a woman who is identical to her she begins to ask questions and wonders what kind of game he’s playing. Derek isn’t sure what’s going on either but he knows who can answer the questions. And so he goes to the parents of his late wife for those answers.
Meanwhile, Chloe is scared because her ex boyfriend is duo be released from prison any time now and she knows he is going to come looking for her. And after running into his father she is scared shitless now. She’s been working out and hoping she has learned some defensive moves to help protect herself, but even with help, she’s on edge. She’s waiting for that phone call hoping and praying he won’t find her.

I really enjoyed the story line, and honestly think the most of it is good. You're drawn into the characters and the story quite well. The editing is atrocious, and her publisher should do a better job with their edits. Just made it come across as cheap. The typos and grammar you can read over, but were very prevalent throughout the entire series. I think with a better editor and further character development, it would be smashing.

Jesse’s dad should have kept his mouth shut if he was so worried his son would get in more trouble. Why tell him he found her? He set in motion something bad to happen, I think. We shall see.

Ciertamente mucho mejor que el primero, aunque la cosa esa enferma del gusto de Derek hacia ella confieso que me perturba...
Por lo menos le añadió algo de suspenso... veremos con qué nos sale!

Scarred - Part 2 is a continuation of Chloe and Derick's story and you won’t be able to pick this one down either. Just when you think you know where this story is going, author Kylie Walker throws a twist in the story and then a cliffhanger. Having read Part 1 and 2 I know it will be worth the wait to read Part 3!!

Dereck was married!! Her name was Sarah, and she died in a car accident a couple of years ago!! The picture of his wife looks just like her, the old her before she changed her hair color and starting wearing blue contacts. Dereck starts trying to piece together the information and finds out that she and Sarah have the same birthday. It can't be a coincidence....Sarah also had a twin that died at birth. Something doesn't add up. Chloe just wants to leave so that she can think. Dereck wants to tell his ex-in-laws but when he asks her permission, she asks him not to say anything right now. He tells her that he won’t tell them about her but he’ll try to get some information about the doctor. Chloe thinks that they didn't want her because she was put up for adoption. According to Dereck they had mourned their baby that died at birth. He wants Chloe to trust him so he gives her some space.

Before Chloe leaves for work she gets a message from the one friend she can trust from her old life, telling her that her ex-boyfriend Jesse is due to get out of jail in a couple of weeks. Chloe gets pawed by a young college kid and she ends up pretty much, kicking his ass. Roxie, her boss knows that something is wrong so she tells Chloe to come in her office. Chloe has been working for Roxie for almost two years and knows that she needs to trust Roxie and tell her about her past. Roxie tells her to take some time off and she will get someone watch over her. Having all this time at the condo to think, she realizes that she may be putting her roommate and friend in danger. She needs to get another place to stay so Lexi won’t be in danger and she needs to talk with Lexi.

Please read Part 1 first!! Part 2 is so good and it will leave you wanting to read more!!!

Derek’s wife was death and she was identical to Chloe. Derek felt guilty because she died in a car accident when he was driving. Chloe was mad with Derek. She felt he was using her because of her similarity to Sarah. But, after he talked to her she thought that maybe he did not mean to hurt her and listened to what he had to say. They spent more time together and Derek convinced Chloe to go with him to a charity event where they met Derek’s clients and friends. Suddenly, when Chloe was mingling and feeling a little better about the date thing her worst nightmare caught her and she had to flee. This second part was full of suspense and charge with disturbing emotions. Chloe was in a constant rollercoaster. First Derek death wife, the incident at her work and then what happened at the charity event. Add to this thinking of Jesse all the time. It was enough to lose her mind. And the author presents this psychopath so sick and evil that we are very concerned about Chloe. So far this story has a very interesting plot, the action and suspense was continuous, the characters were strong (even the evil one) and there was steamy sex. The story got me thinking about the different choices that Chloe had. Eager for the rest.

Scarred - Part 2
by Kylie Walker

Wow! Part 2 started with a Bang!

As if having to deal with the fact that her homicidal ex is about to get out of jail isn't enough, now she finds out that she looks just like Derek's deceased wife. What is going on here?

Derek talks Chloe into letting him do so investigating into the possibility that she might be the twin sister of his deceased wife, Sarah. The twin who everyone thought died at birth.

Taking so time to come to terms with everything that is happening, the best she can, Chloe distances herself from Derek. Then, she has to rough up a client at work, it was self-defense after all, but tell that to the clients daddy. Now Chloe needs to come clean with her boss and her, kinda sorta, best friend.

Finally she realizes that she needs to talk to Derek again, see what he has found out.

Things start to pick up between her and Derek, even though she is still wary of his reasons to be with her. She agrees to go to a fund raiser in New York with him. A decision she hopes she doesn't regret later.

After an abusive childhood and later an abusive boyfriend Kelly runs to free herself of the horrors and finds herself in a new town with a new job and a new identity. Now 'Chloe' is aware that the abusive ex is due out of prison she is being even more vigilant yet her walls are crumbling after a new client Derek, requests that she dance for him for a whole week and no other! yes she is a pole dancer(not a stripper) being the best source of securing an income so that she can then complete her teaching degree and her dreams.
This book sets the characters up well and sets a great story, to date, in place with good penmanship from Kylie Walker, Im truly happy to have received thisARC in return for my honest review. Of course there is an unexpected cliff hanger and I can't wait for the next book.

This series just continues to get better all the twists and turns the suspense mystery the conspiracy the drama as well just when I think that I have it all figure out something else happened. Chloe learned a lot about her past in this second part at first I didn't know what to think about Derek does he really want to be with Chloe or is he using her because she reminds him of his dead wife. Poor Chloe it's bad enough it's hard for her to let anyone in and now she feels betrayed again by what she's learned. Now she's having to remain strong and not let fear get a hold of her especially now that she knows that her ex is getting released from jail. All I can say is wow I'm so looking forward to see what's going to happen next.

This book picks up right where book one left us hanging. I couldn't put this down till the very end which again Kylie leaves us with a nice little cliffhanger.
Chloe is proven once again that life might kick her down at times but she is one tough chick and doesn't let anything get her down.
Derek obviously has issues still concerning his deceased wife who looks very similar to Chloe which is where the story started to get really interesting. Loved seeing Chloes diary entries I feel we are seeing more into how she operates and feels about everything going on. Full of suspense drama and a little bit of romance Kylie did a wonderful job of keeping me as a reader on my toes when I was reading this book. Looking forward to part three.

This is a dark, tragic story which has some interesting twists as the story develops. I did not see it coming. Chloe learns a lot more about her past in this second part. It is hard for her to let anyone in and she feels betrayed again by what she learns. She is trying to be strong but feels tremendous fear as her ex is getting closer to being released. The author does a really good job of isolating the alternate anger and fear many abuse survivors experience. I definitely look forward to part three to see where this is all going. It is quite a ride. I received an ARC from the author in return for a honest review.

Although the writing has slightly improved, it's still needs work.

The story isn't bad & the characters are great. But the dialogue & the details are just dragging. When Chloe explains her story of what happened in her past, it gets repeated over & over in writing. It just felt like it was written in to fill up space.

The sex scenes are a bit better but still bland. I like the story how it's unfolding & there are twists & turns. I understand Chloe's apprehension about trusting people but she gives me whiplash. One minute she's a mega bitch & the next she's all sweet.

It irks me a bit about leaving it hanging... again

WOW! It was like a movie playing in my head the entire time. Fantastic! I enjoyed each and every moment of this book/series. Kelly/Chloe is an amazing woman. The way she met Derek was odd. Each character in this book plays an important good or bad role in Chloe's life. All of them were well thought out.

This is a perfectly put together story and I was sorry for it to end. I look forward to reading more from this fabulous author.

LOVED IT!!!!!
This series keeps getting better and better. There are so many twists and turns that keep you reading until you finish the book. Chloe is trying so hard to be strong, but she's still worried her ex will find her as soon as he gets out of prison. On top of that she finds out she looks just like Derek's dead wife, before she changed her appearance. She's not sure what to think. I couldn't put this book down, and I can't wait to see where the storyline goes in the next book. I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Patsy Sacco

It was a very good and entertaining book and it deals with a very relatable issues. I thought that the author did a great job at writing the story on a very serious issues that goes on in real life. I would recommend this book for you to read and I enjoyed reading it very much and can't wait to what happens next. Will Chloe trust Derek enough to tell him the truth about what is happening in her life. Will Derek be able to protect her from Jesse her ex-boyfriend before her gets to accomplish what he wanted from the beginning? It was a great book to read.

I was hooked from page one. The story picks up where book one left off and the tension between the characters is palpable. Again, the plot draws you in and the character of Angela is so sympathetic. Thomas' behavior becomes more manipulative and bizarre as the book progresses and by the end of book two I was hoping he would be hit by a city bus. Steve cuts a romantic figure, doing and saying all the right things and I found myself really rooting for this couple. As in book one, the cliff hanger ending has you salivating for more. A great read!!!

Scarred book 2 takes off where book one left us hanging. The story continues to develop to where it feels as if it is just getting good to come to a cliffhanger. The reader will find abuse, power, sex, and control. All wrapped neatly in a book involving a romance between pole dancer who has been abused in the past and a real estate mogul who happens to be linked to politics. Looking forward to the next book to see where this story goes.

So Chloe is still hiding under her fake name. But finding out something that happened twenty some years ago, may have messed up plans a lot. Derek is helping her out as much as he can. He knows she had some skeletons in the closet but will she trust him? Chloe finally talks to two people about it and they will protect her with help. Jesse is getting out soon will he stay away or will he find her and finish what he started?

What do you do when your past is so close to ruining your future?
Chloe is trying to hard to hold it together and she finally starts to relax just to truly freak out again.

I got part 2 of the series and couldn't stop until the book was finished. This series is totally addicting. Each part of the series leaves you hanging with a cliffhanger, waiting in agony until you get the next part of the story. Make sure you have all the parts of the book on hand so you can read them all at once because the story just keeps getting better and better.
