The way the story is written shows that KC did her research. It wasn't just a matter of feeling or the detail of deaf characters; we got the full experience. We were completely immersed in the world of a deaf person, including how they navigate life and relationships. I really liked Rylee and Ryland's relationship. The evolution of Somee and Rylands' relationship because the attraction was always present, and how they all simply became a family. I will say Somee was getting on my nerves a bit 20% into the book but I can respect that she advocated for Rylee. This was a good read.

Somee loves all of her students but, quiet as it’s kept, she does have a favorite. When Rylee doesn’t show up for class three days in a row and calls to her mama go unanswered, Somee goes against district policy to do a welfare check herself. What she finds is so heartbreaking, she immediately moves Rylee in with her to ensure her safety. Just as she’s contemplating applying to become Rylee’s foster mom, Somee is informed she has an older brother who happens to be a celebrity and he plans to file for custody of Rylee.
Ryland is livin’ his best life and stressin’ stressin’ TF out of his publicist. He’s just out here wildin’ out in these Crescent Falls streets and doesn’t give a damn who sees him doin’ it. But, this time, he may have gone too far. His scandalous behavior is catchin’ up with him and there’s talk of a possible trade. As if trade talk wasn’t bad enough, Ryland finds out he has a six year old sister his bio mama has abandoned. He immediately moves into action and requests temporary custody but, he has to go through Somee first because she’s not givin’ up Rylee without a fight.
Me For You was such a good book! I absolutely loved that the storyline was centered around deaf characters. KC did a phenomenal job representing the deaf community. The relationship between Somee and Rylee was so sweet. She gave Rylee the love and attention she so desperately needed and she made sure to give her the tools to function in a hearing world. I love that it was a complete surprise to Somee and Rylee that Ryland was well versed in ASL. When she tried to check him, he shut Somee’s azz right on up. Sis definitely judged that book by its cover. And, that was the start to a beautiful love story. Somee doesn’t date hearing men but, Ryland wasn’t tryin’ to hear all of that. Pun intended. My guy fell hard and fast and he planned to do whatever it takes to keep the sexy teacher in Crescent Falls. “Never f*ckin’ leaving” and he meant that. This book was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting KC to revisit the characters from Only For Me but, I’m not mad that she did. I’m hoping we’re not done with the Sharks just yet. I would love it if we could get a prequel on Toya and Daren. I’d love to read their story. Oh, and I definitely expect a book on Marlee and Taven by the end of the year. Please and thank you. 😉

There were so many things to like about this story. I liked the MCs and any interactions with Rylee were great. I just felt it was too long. There was not really much drama here to be honest. Usually that is a good thing (no third act breakup!) however in this case there should have been a little bit. Two children abandoned by their mother, a little girl meeting a brother she never knew she had and moving cross country, adapting to life as a deaf person outside a bubble... all of this should cause some churn but it is almost seamless.
The other problem is about 3/4 of the way through the romance is over. I felt by that point that they were together and settled for the most part but the story just continued with a lot of information I did not really care about and again - a custody fight that turns into a non-event. Everything is resolved so quickly and easily it was somewhat boring. It should have been trimmed down or a little more disruption due to all the events that happened.
Giving three stars because of how well written the characters were and when they interreacted with each other it was great. Definitely could have beenshorter.

3.5🌟 This was a cute, no mess story between Somee and Ryland. I love the deaf representation in this book and how Somee took on the motherly role in Rylee’s life, the bond between the two was adorable. Ryland was a man of action. The minute Ryland knew about his sister, he made sure she was a priority and took those step to make her feel wanted and loved. And the moment he saw Somee, he knew she would be is. Overall it was a decent read

This book was so good! I absolutely loved Ryland, Somee, and Rylee’s story. It was full of feel-good moments. I loved how protective Ryland was of Rylee from the very beginning, and when it came to Somee, he was ALL GAS, NO BRAKES. 🤣 Sis never stood a chance. Their banter and chemistry were so much fun, and I especially appreciated the small ways Somee showed up for Ryland just as consistently as he showed up for her.
I also liked that certain storylines didn’t wrap up neatly because sometimes we never get the opportunity to have that confrontation or closure with the people who hurt us. I appreciated how the author handled Ryland’s conflicting feelings surrounding that reality.
The deaf representation was so well done. I appreciated the care taken to portray these characters as so much more than their impairment. They were fully realized people with distinct personalities, interests, dreams, and desires. I especially loved that Somee never shrank herself because she was deaf. She knew she was THAT GIRL and carried herself accordingly, commanding respect everywhere she went.
Another win for Ms. KC Mills! Now I’m over here wondering if Marlee and Taven are eventually going to get their own story. 👀

Never leaving 🥹
Back like she never left 💃🏽 I been waiting on this because I knew whatever you was working on was gone deliver‼️ 👏🏾
Man the transformation of Ryland was everything. One call changed everything for him he knew what he had to do and dived right in. Somee, an earth angel, she wasn’t playing when it came to baby girl.
I loved everything about the little family they created. I loved how she tapped into the ASL world. I loved how they were able to coexist in each others world as hearing and non hearing. I loved how they worked together educating each other and opening up about their past issues with abandonment. They were literally so cute together I just loved it all 💚
And just the mention of Omiri and Makari has me ready to go back and read Only For You ❤️

Ooooo!
Okay I like Somee even when she did the most about Rylee. Shes her constant. I’m glad she gave it up to Ryland lmaoooo. I would too. I need Marlee and Taven story because messy.

🌶️🌶️🌶️ I loved this story so much. Ryland, Somee and Rylee’s unconventional family was everything. The Ryland dropped everything and stepped up for Rylee was so heart warming. And the way that man knew exactly what he wanted and applied pressure was top tier. Somee’s did everything she could to make sure Rylee had a better experience than she did was exceptional. Both Ryland and Somee had huge hearts and didn’t play about the people they loved. Such a sweet story. I would highly recommend this book!

Ryland, Somee, and Rylee were the cutest found family. I loved what K.C. Mills did with the disability rep in this book. There wasn't a single moment in this story that Rylee or Somee were treated differently; Ryland loved both of them with his whole heart, and it was beautiful. Now while I did really enjoy these characters, I felt like the story went on for too long. This book could have been at least 200 pages shorter, especially since there isn't really a central conflict to work out.

RYLAND 🩷 SOMEE
A sports romance will do it for me every time. I absolutely enjoyed Ryland and Somee’s story. I loved that Ryland was so open to Rylee being his responsibility and learning how to react in certain situations with her. Ryland was all gas no breaks as soon as he saw Somee. I was so happy that she broke her unwritten rule and opened her heart. K. C. Mills never disappoints.

Ryland Rylee and Somee
Ryland a complete ladies man and full of scandal becomes the perfect book bae. The way he stepped in to care for his deaf sister was very admirable. This mainly due to the fact that their mother wasn't worth a thing! Not only was he vested in his sister but the way he came behind wanting Somee was everything. This was slow burn but the way Ryland flirted with Somee was everything.
Situations and drama unfolded so well. I enjoyed the Makari and Omiri appearances because they were a favorite couple of mine.

Lived how they lived one another!
Ryland finding out he had a 6 year old sister changed his whole life! Rylee was deaf and had been left with her deaf teacher Somee! Since he was an NFL player she had to move to another city but in the end not only did he gain a sister, he gained a family! The ASL he used to communicate with them was so special, he really cared, fell in love and the rest is history! I learned a lot about the non hearing world in this story! Good read!

I love this story so much. KC Mills did her big one with this! It’s was the perfect sport romance love story. Ryland, Somee, & Rylee were everything. I love how caring and protective Ryland was towards both the ladies in his life. It wasn’t much drama in this story and I like that. I can tell KC Mills put in a lot of research to write this novel.

A different story
The love this bother had for his 6 year old sister was a pure delight. The hearing impaired feature about ASL characters was done very well. The love story and the family dynamics were intertwined into a great family saga. Its a good read.

This was a really good story.
Ryland’s reputation of having community peen was very unattractive. His growth throughout this book was amazing. Somee was so selfless and I loved her character. Rylee was the star of the book. Their little family were so cute.

This was such a good ride! Ryland had no idea he had a sister living in Chicago. When he went to meet her, his whole life changed. Determined to be the father figure and protector she deserved despite his demanding football career, he stepped up in every way which also including inviting her teacher to help Rylee settle into her new life.
Rylee and Somee are both deaf, and I loved how intentionally this story represented the Deaf community. They communicate in their own language, on their own terms, and the representation felt authentic and meaningful. You could tell Ms. Mills put real care into portraying their experiences.
The chemistry between Ryland and Somee jumped off the page, while Rylee completely stole my heart. She was the sweetest 6 yr old, and Somee was the kind of teacher every child deserves.
I also loved getting a glimpse of Omiri and Makari from the first book in the series. Now supporting characters! The Tylers, Marlee, Sovo and Toya made the story feel so much richer. They brought a level of realism that made it feel like I was watching a TV series instead of only following the main characters' perspectives.
Ms. Mills did an amazing job with this one. The representation was heartfelt, the romance was swoony, and the family dynamics were everything. This book even inspired me to want to take ASL classes so I can better meet people where they are. That's impact! ❤️📚

Playboy no more!!
Ryland is a NFL player who is living his best scandal ridden life when he finds out that he has a six year old deaf sister who has been abandoned by their birth mother. He’s shocked and livid but he’s adamant that his sister, Rylee belongs with him. Rylee is living with her teacher, Somee, who has taken a liking to her and wants her to remain with her. Ryland is not having it but he understands that Rylee loves Somee and doesn’t need any more major changes. He asks Somee to live with them to help Rylee adjust to her new life. He provided accommodations for Somee and Rylee to make sure that their transition is smooth. Along the way, Somee and Ryland catch feelings. Somee doesn’t trust Ryland because the man’s a total heaux and he’s a hearing man which she doesn’t think with understand her life as a dead woman. Ryland shows her that he’s serious. He’s given up his player card and he doesn’t care that she deaf. He just wants to be a part of her world and have her be a part of his. He shows her that she’s his peace and that his life is better with her. He overcomes all of her hangups.
I loved how Ryland showed up for his sister, Rylee and how he changed his life to make her feel welcomed. He also healed the broken parts on Somee. He and Somee were perfect together.

Ryland and Somee, I Can Hear Your Heart
I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!!!…
This book was beyond good and I love how the characters and their personalities developed in this story!!!…
Ryland was out here living his best life without truly dealing with the consequences because of all of the chances he was given to get his mess together!!!…
That one phone call changed his WHOLE MINDSET & the true depth of who he was come to the front!!!…
He made the decision to take responsibility of his sister that their mother abandoned!!!…
Then there was Somee, carrying the trauma and heartbreak of her mother because Somee’s father left them because she was deaf!!!…I was glad that Marlee stayed in her ear though!!!…
Somee was a factor in Ryland changing also!!!…It goes to show you that a man will change for the right woman!!!…Von was that final piece, and voice that Ryland needed to free himself from the anger he had twds his mother abandoning him, then his sister!!!…
Somee’s mother finally opened her heart up to love again!!!…
Rylee was such a beautiful spirit and she showed that she is just a beautiful 6 year old, living, loving and having fun!!!…I love that she was allowed to explore and try different things without feeling that her being deaf was an obstacle!!!…

We family
Ryland was living his best life because the cleat chasers allowed him to and threw everything at him just to say they did. That doesn't say he was without heart and control. His phone rung and everything changed. We saw the man he truly was raised to be.
I loved everything about this story when it came to Land and his relationship and feelings regarding his sister Rylee. When it came to her he was doing ANYTHING because she deserved the world. My heart was pulled in and still not released. Throw in Somee who was risking it all for the same girl and this book was unputdownable.
The way they educated each other and opened up about their fears and trauma was very well written. A room for romance and one to get to know each other was cute. It was him letting Somee know she was there forever after each milestone or outstanding revelation was it for me. Marlee told her she wasn't coming back home and to live in her truth not the past she couldn't control.
There is so much to unpack so just read and enjoy the mature, educational, sports romance.

3.5 stars. This is a continuation of this series of Crescent Falls Sharks players. It tells the story of offensive lineman Ryland stepping up to take care of a biological sibling he didn’t previously know about (Rylee) and falling in love with her and her teacher/guardian Soree. A notable part of the book is that Soree and Rylee are deaf, so that colors their relationship with Ryland and their relationship with the world.
From the outset, something about the book didn’t quite click for me. I love learning new things from romance novels, so I appreciated the insights I gained about the deaf community. But in contrast with the previous novel, there wasn’t quite as much tension in starting the romantic or parenting relationship. Or perhaps my concern was that it was harder to empathize with Ryland’s past and sudden pivot. Or perhaps it would’ve been compelling to not have Ryland be fluent in ASL so their love could be one grown in other ways. Regardless, I don’t regret the read, but it gives me a bit of pause before reading the next in the series.

All the love was felt through Ryland and Somee!
I can’t believe this book is over already! KC Mills really did it again with this one. What a beautiful sports romance centered on love and growth. Ryland started off as such a man-child, but he quickly got pulled into a world with a little girl and a woman who had him totally wrapped around their fingers. The genuine, heartfelt love he showed for both his sister and Somee was everything. Watching him go above and beyond to fit into their world was so special.
Somee was a powerhouse of a character. She was confident, stood firm in her choices, and knew her worth even when the world tried to tell her otherwise. On top of that, seeing her mother let go of her past projections and finally allow Somee to be loved the right way was so satisfying. Plus, Orlando, Miranda, Omiri, and Makari brought so much to the table. This story had so much love poured into it that it definitely deserves multiple reads!

Thank you for this, KC!!
K.C., my goodness thank you! This was the pivot I needed. Dusability representation in books is important, ya know! However, I was so sick of autism and bipolar disorder being as far as writers would stretch. This took some knowledge, courage and true creative writing!
So, this boooook though! Great! I loved the FMC and her relation with her bff! It was beatiful. I loved the MMC, but this book was boring, baby. Like it could have been 200 pages with the same storyline and depth. It fell completely flat for me at about 80% to the point where I was skipping paragraphs just to finish. I learned very little about the FMC. Also, this is a pp of mine - so, probables don’t always have to be resolved in the same chapter or even few chapters within a book. For this many pages I would have wanted way more detail about THEM, ya know. It also was very repetitive. I hate when an author like beats you with the theme. Please don’t!

KC Mills really did her thing with Me For You. 🥹❤️ This story had so much heart and emotional depth throughout. Ryland’s growth and self-reflection were beautiful to witness, especially as he began shifting his priorities and stepping into a more responsible version of himself. Somee was also a standout—patient, grounded, and deeply compassionate, bringing a steady presence to the story.
Rylee completely stole the show. She was sweet, intelligent, and quietly strong, making her impossible not to root for. I loved watching her open up and build connections with those around her. The evolving family dynamic added so much warmth, especially in the softer, more intimate moments.
KC Mills continues to be one of my favorite authors. Her characters feel real and layered, the romance builds naturally, and she balances emotional depth with just the right amount of swoon. If you love protective heroes, found family, and heartfelt romance, this is definitely one to add to your TBR.

💖 Love Beyond Words 💖
Oh, I absolutely loved this book! 💕 Ryland and Somee’s love story was beautiful from beginning to end. Watching Somee and Ryland’s little sister, Rylee, come into his life and change him for the better was heartwarming. 🥹❤️
Ryland also showed Somee that she could receive the kind of love she had been raised to believe wasn’t possible. 🫶🏽 He gave Rylee the unconditional love she would never receive from their biological parents, and it was beautiful to witness. 💖
I loved how Ryland was intentional about understanding Somee and Rylee’s world as Deaf individuals. 🤟🏽 He listened, took direction from Somee, and followed her lead with patience and love. Together, they built a beautiful family surrounded by old and new friends. 🏡✨
Such an awesome read! 📚💞 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pressure Applied!! Ryland is living his playboy lifestyle and trying not to go viral which is hard because every woman wants to become Mrs. Parks. He trying to not give his agent and publicists reasons not to drop him. Then his parents dropped the bomb telling him that he has a six year old sister. Enter Rylee and Somee. Somee went beyond a teacher. She didn’t trust Ryland because she thought he was going to take Rylee away from her, but he took both of them because he really didn’t know Rylee. He wasn’t going to take her away from the person she knows. She was taking on her mama’s views and about a hearing man, but she knew her worth. Layla was trying hard make her feel some type of way by telling her she had sex with Ryland, but Shiya to her the truth. Layla was for everybody. Ryland got his family.

Realistic about being the MMC’s team being out the playoffs when the real story began because the plot would have not been realistic if his team was still in it. Then once they started back playing again, it was realistic in how much time away that caused.
I LOVED the Deaf culture representation in this book. I learned even more about the lived experiences of Deaf people. It was very interesting to learn about various accommodations I didn’t know existed.
Same theme as the first book in terms of terrible parents for both MCs, besides one that redeems themself.
I’m glad the author seemed to address part of the criticism from book one and noted that Omari is in therapy now. Also glad this time the FMC was intentional about not abandoning her day one bestie and instead, bringing her into her new life as well.

R❤️S - More than a sports love story
This is a love story for Ryland and Somee but also him and his sister. I loved that deafness was another character in this story. I found myself signing along with them. Somee is a beautiful soul and very smart and strong. Her connection with Rylee as her teacher and then caregiver is everything Rylee needed to learn how to navigate living in a hearing world while maintaining what she needs as a deaf person. Ryland is so loving and receptive to the needs of his sister and Somee. I knew Ryland was more mature than what he was putting out there with these cleet chasers because he gave Omiri very good advice in Only For Me. I wish there was a 3rd book with Marlee's story. She's such a good friend and a whole vibe. She deserves her own story.

His past was brought up too much to be fully invested in the present. Especially as that evolved so fast. I know his love for Rylee and Somee love for her was the catalyst but there definitely needs more build up to trust a man with the in your face scandals he been part of. The fmc reactions to mmc past seemed robotic and too perfect. His sister will grow up and see that stuff about him on the internet is so cringe.
He said he didn’t mess around with people he works for and works for him but the massage therapists scandal seems to contradict that so that is another area of cringe in the future for the fmc. When we have a playboy like this I like for the fmc to be a playgirl but her past is not even mentioned other than her father.

A true good read
I love this book more than I expected. Initially I thought it would be similar to Hear My Heart by Mo’ane Tay, but it’s totally different. With “Me For You” you get a realistic glimpse of the lived experience of someone who’s completely deaf. K.C. not only allows the reader to have insight from an adult deaf woman but also through the lens of a child. Somee embodies advocacy for not only herself but all who are hearing impaired. The love she had for Rylee may have placed her on Ryland’s radar but Somee’s character was truly a gem.
There’s so many events that occur throughout the book that invokes complex emotions which truly provides depth in the narrating. The representation and advocacy within this book is truly the highlight I enjoyed.
