Marcia had survived an encounter with a demon... had met a witch named Hannah who was to be her mentor... and, she now wore a thin gold band given to her by a young woman she knew as Elise, but as it turns out, might be the Goddess Elysanna. And, if that wasn't strange enough, while sitting in the park one day, contemplating all the strange and mysterious things that have befallen her, a young girl named Annie finds her and tells her that she was sent to "Bring her home." The journey begins, but, as with all journeys in this world Marcia ends up far from where she wants to be. A giant, an old men who babbles and wanders through dimensions, and a gentleman from California...of all places... who deals with DEMONS!!!... soon become her travelling companions as she attempts to find her way back to the only friends she knows.

J. Calvin Pierce writes this, the second entry in the world of Ambermere trilogy and builds upon the color and adventures that were introduced in the first story. A warm and wonderful journey that will be concluded in the third... and last... book in the series.

This the second in the Ambermere trilogy and it focuses more on Marcia, one of several key characters from the first novel. Sorceress is a more literary work than the first novel Door to Ambermere focusing more on character development. The second novel is also a little more food-obsessed than the first. In particular, a seduction over a whole roasted pig is a particularly memorable scene. Sorceress can stand alone or be read as part of the trilogy. Bring your napkins.

The Sorceress of Ambermere is available for kindle, nook, and kobo readers.

Book two of the trilogy was just as good as the first book. Love Marcia and her travails. I keep trying to guess what city this is supposed to be. NY? Washington? Not sure.

Great continuation. Not your standard fantasy, but more literate and at times quite funny
