Two people on a plane bound for Alaska. Grace NEEDS the story of a witness in hiding. Travis needs to find and protect this same witness as he brings him back home to testify. Meanwhile someone else wants this witness….dead. Should Grace and Travis work together in this deadly game of hide and seek against the bad guy and his bullets? Who is the real target, or is there more than one? Who knew two strong-willed survivors would end up facing the wilderness of Alaska and still find time for a simmering attraction? Could it be just the tension of the moment? Grace needs an interview and she will do anything to get it. Travis has never failed and his training may be what saves their lives, but will Grace listen? Take one tenacious reporter, one ex SEAL, add one reluctant witness and the bullets will fly! What does the killer have against Grace? Will nowhere be safe?

Every Step She Takes by Jannine Gallant has all the makings of a good romance, mystery, thriller and is filled with intrigue, to boot! Grace is a force to be reckoned with, but she is smart, and maybe just a little interested in the handsome and fierce Travis. You will love the dialogue, the attitudes and the fear that comes across each page as these characters fight for their lives from an unseen killer. Are you good at guessing the outcome? Your work will be cut out for you and you may find you’ve missed the mark in this fast-paced “Who is doing it” mystery!

Great 2nd book in this series! This one is about Grace Hanover. I enjoyed getting to know the spunky, fearless reporter who would do or go anywhere for a story. She heads to a fishing resort in Alaska to chase down a lead on a witness in a big drug case. She meets ex-SEAL Travis Barnett who owns a private investigation/security company. He is also looking for the witness, Casey Sutton, so he can move him to safety before the drug lord has him killed. Grace quickly picks up on Travis' real motives for being in Alaska and follows him to search for Sutton. Along the way they encounter the hit man sent to kill Sutton and risk their lives to get Sutton back to San Francisco to another safe house.
Once they're back in San Francisco it becomes clear that the hit mans isn't just after Sutton but also has an axe to grind with Grace. This twist brings up events from Grace's past that are revealed to the reader before the characters put the pieces together. We get to have a small family reunion with Grace's family and continued relationships from the 1st book in this series. While trying to figure out who is after Grace, Travis takes her to Seattle and she gets to meet his family. However, Grace being more concerned about getting the story & interviewing Sutton again, she gets information about his whereabouts from Travis' email & heads back to San Francisco. Grace ends up being kidnapped and Travis rescues her. She finally figures out who the kidnapper is and how he's related to her past.
Overall, I enjoyed this book with romance & suspenseful twists. I'd suggest this to others & would like to read more in this series. There are plenty of characters we've only gotten glimpses into their lives that I would like to know more about.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book in-exchange for my honest opinion/review.

Gallant blends suspense and intrigue together in a captivating manner that kept me guessing. I really enjoyed how she weaved the release of information tidbits to the reader, sometimes in advance of the characters knowing them, allowing me to try and puzzle out what would happen next, and at other times I found out alongside the characters, making me feel as if I were part of the story. Gallant weaves her tale in such a manner that it can be read as a standalone or as part of the series, both filling in the blanks for new readers and not summarizing too much for returning ones.

Gallant’s characters were simultaneously enigmatic and straightforward. No one was ever quite who they seemed when we first met them, but at the same time, they were genuinely real people. They were also characters that I enjoyed getting to know. The romance and chemistry between the main characters melds with the suspense of the story to create a feeling that you’re really part of their lives.

As a whole, this was a fast paced, suspenseful novel that kept me guessing throughout. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and tailing them through this intricate novel.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Grace Hanover is one step away from getting the story of the decade. All she has to do is travel to Alaska and interview a man who is trying his best to stay hidden.

Along the way Grace trips and falls directly into an action packed adventure with former Navy SEAL turned PI Travis Barnett. Can Travis keep Grace safe while maintaining his main objective..keeping his witness safe and away from the public i.e. Grace...or will he end up losing not only his witness but his heart? Read and find out!

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review.

This is the first book that I have read from Jannine Gallant and it was a great introduction of what she brings to the table. This book is selling right now discounted for 3.03 on Kindle Amazon and I think that is a fair price. Normal price of the book appears to 3.99.

As far as the book goes I do believe it was a very good action romance that has very funny moments. A couple of things I must admit is that Grace at times came off as a user, as evidenced by her treatment of Travis until she needs him to be at her side. To be fair the Author did a great job explaining why Grace acted the way she did in certain situations but overall it made me team Travis throughout the whole book.

Also if you are looking for steamy, explosive romance scenes then this is not the book for that. This book is more of a feel good, action packed romance story that will sizzle/bring some heat in the bedroom and be an easy read for a great price.

Overall I liked the book and will keep an eye open for whatever Gallant brings out next.

Grace is a reporter who is searching for Casey, a witness to a big drug deal.  Her search takes her to Alaska where she meets Travis. Travis is also looking for this witness, but for other reasons. While Grace is looking to get a big news story, he is an ex-SEAL and has been sent to take Casey into protective custody. Grace is tenacious, and despite Travis’ warnings of danger, he grudgingly takes her with him into the mountains on their search. Unfortunately, trying to locate Casey in this remote area is the least of their concerns. The drug lord has put a hit on Casey and the killer has a grudge against Grace. He’ll stop at nothing to get his revenge. This has them racing for their lives.

I liked Grace and Travis. It’s been a while since I’ve found a heroine who is a girlie-girl and cares about the way she looks. While she’s more into 5-star hotels than roughing it out in the wilderness, she handles it like a trooper. Travis is a great hero, tough, smart, and sexy. He wants this relationship with Grace to work out and does everything in his power to make that happen.

This is a terrific story, although it is a bit light on and inner dialogue, and details in several areas. The couple does have sex, but we don’t get to read about it…which I’m sure some reads will appreciate. Overall it is a very enjoyable book that fans of this genre will appreciate.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the pleasure of reading and reviewing Every Step She Takes by Jannine Gallant.

This is the second book in a series by an author I wasn't familiar with. I liked the cover and the synopsis, so I requested an advance copy from Net Galley despite not having read the first book. I did not find myself lost at all and really enjoyed the story. I now want to go back and read book one. I'm guessing it is Rachel's story. This book focused on Grace. She is a very intrepid reporter with a long slew of previous bad relationships. Shew heads of too Alaska in portrait of the story of a lifetime and ends up chasing her story with private protection specialist Travis. His job is to protect the story Grace is desperate to find. The two have instant chemistry and connect pretty quickly. Finding the source of Grace's story has them dodging bullets and also managing to bring back to life an assassin's need for retribution against Grace. With danger coming from two fronts, the couple heads back to the lower forty eight to see whether a long distance relationship between them can work. Things seem calm at first until the killer begins taunting Grace. Travis puts everything on hold to travel to her home and protect her. The only problem is whether Grace will also put him first, or will her career win out?

Travis and Grace had a lot of amusing dialog. Grace's personality was stuffed full of spunk while Travis was defined by his loyalty. I really enjoyed the story and can't wait too check out more by this author.

5 Stars, Great Book packed full of mystery, suspense, and romance!

Travis and Grace have great chemistry together. Grace is a fiesty and fearless reporter who will go anywhere for a story that will help boost her career. Which is exactly how she ends up in a fishing resort in the middle of nowhere Alaska, to chase down a lead on Casey Sutton, a witness in FBI protection. Travis Barnett is an ex-Seal who owns a private investigation/security company. He is also looking for Casey, so he can move him to safety before the drug lord has him killed. Grace quickly picks up on Travis' real motives for being in Alaska and follows him to search for Sutton. The only problem is the hired hit man has also figured out why Travis is really in Alaska and is following these two in hopes that they will lead him to Casey. Little did these two know that once the witness was secured their trouble still wasn't over. A twist in the book leaves these two in the cross hairs of the hit min once again leaving them to wonder what they are missing.

A really enjoyed this book. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. This is the 2nd installment in the series but if you haven't read the first book you will be just fine starting off with this one. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a great and quick read.

Dedicated reporter Grace Hanover would do almost anything for a story. So when an informant passes on gossip she heard from the girlfriend of a witness in a high profile drug case, Grace is off to Alaska to find informant Casey Sutton and scoop everyone with her story. She unwittingly is seated next to Travis Barnett on a plane to Alaska, former Navy Seal turned PI, who’s been hired to locate Casey and move him from his formerly safe location.

Arriving at the remote Alaskan location, both Grace and Travis come up with reasonable stories about why they are there, but neither wants to share the truth. Soon they find themselves trekking through the wilderness, one following the other, and eventually working together to find Casey. Things get really dangerous when someone starts shooting at them. Everyone else at the remote fishing resort has to be considered a suspect and until they can locate Casey, it’s trust no one, suspect everyone.
This is a highly entertaining romantic suspense, with touches of humor, a beautiful leading lady who can’t help being driven by her career and a gorgeous hero who finds himself thoroughly exasperated as he tries to do his job and keep his lady safe.

Received this book as an ARC from the publisher.

3.75 Stars. This was well done. I enjoyed the plot and the characters very much. There were a few instances where I had to be willing to suspend reality, but this is fiction, after all. I was compelled to read, flow was very good, and characters were likeable with good depth. My biggest quibble for a contemporary romantic suspense: lots of potential, but the love scenes need more depth or something. They weren't cheesy, thank goodness, just not befitting of the tension that was well created. Would read more of this new to me author!

This book is a terrific blend of fast-paced suspense and heart-warming romance. The pace never lets up, even after the villain's identity is revealed. Grace is independent, self-confident, and fast thinking. Travis is tough and competent, but never over-bearing. They make a perfect couple. A thoroughly satisfying read!

I received an ARC copy on NetGalley for my honest opinion and I have to say that when I received this copy, it was the first time I hear of the author, Jannine Gallant. I discovered also that the copy I received is the book 2 of the series so of course I went and read book 1 (I wrote my review for the first book too).
The book is well-written and the plot well-built and I can honestly say there is some curiosity that grows in the reader while reading, like we want to know the rest and we can't help it but reading. I noticed also a pattern followed by the author (after being through book 1 and book 2):
1- we start with meeting the heroine and the hero outdoors, and they kind of grow on us, we can’t but like them. They are who they are – whether funny, brave, humorist, silly, ironic, angry, emotional, strict, motherly… - and they find a way to fit into a couple, a couple that has chemistry helping them through a phase in their lives to not only learn how to live with one another but how to trust one another.
2- we get into the story. the secondary characters are introduced to us in a totally smooth way that makes remembering them easy.
3- we take a plunge into the bigger picture and get acquainted with the danger, the action, the suspense.
4- we start investigating with the characters and we start worrying with them, the feeling get intense
5- we reach the final scene where we face the bad guy
6- the last chapter or the epilogue where we get a glance at our "and they lived happily ever after"
Though I used an expression from a fairy tale book, EVERY STEP SHE TAKES is far from being a children story and I think that is where its originality resides. It actually collects people, well-drawn characters whose similarity to reality is amazing, in a special plot and makes them face a dangerous situation.
Even if this book is not the type of books I usually read, I do appreciate a good plot and that is one good plot so is the book 1 of the series. However, I have to admit that I felt more drawn into Grace's story than Rachel's (even if I liked both characters).
Grace likes pizza, she is impulsive and straightforward, she has a career she cares about and most importantly she has a soft heart and I think she is the center of the story not only because she's the heroine but because she embraces life.
Oh and I have to say now before I forget, I have been feeling like strangling Lark since the moment I met her in book 1. Okay, I know that teenagers are rebellious but stupidity is another thing. Lark just got on my nerves. And that is why I think Gallant draws really good her characters. I know someone that Lark kept reminding me of, the similarities are unbelievable!
Now let's get quickly into the plot.
Grace is a reporter who stops at nothing to get her story and that's why she finds herself in Alaska chasing a witness that could incriminate a really bad person. There she meets Travis whose mission is to find the witness and protect him. Meanwhile, the bad guy send a hit man to kill the witness and we discover that the hit man holds a personal grudge on Grace and you can imagine how that turns out.
I won't talk further about the story but I will comment on the hit man behavior. He committed his first crime at a very young age and his mother covered for him. He grew up emotionally disturbed and focused on his grudge. While reading the last scene, we feel like the killer is no longer here but is replaced by the child of him, the child is talking.
I really loved that Kane was brought here and had an active role in the end.
I have to say I liked better this book but I prefer Kane over Travis. However, as a match, Kane and Rachel are good together, so are Travis and Grace.
Finally, the book held some funny moments("If you get tired of crouching behind that tree, feel free to join me"), emotional ones and intriguing ones but I still find there is a lack of sensuality (even if book 2 has more sensuality than book 1).

ARC REVIEW

Who's Watching Now book two is centered around Grace Hanover, we met her in Every Move She Makes, she is the sister to Rachel. Grace is the outgoing commitment phobic journalist. I love romantic suspense and this one is a little light on the suspense and the ending is unexpected. I love the characters and the story it was all very well laid out and consistently exciting. There were times I thought, You are supposed to be protecting her why are you leaving her alone you know she's just going to get herself in trouble. But it was all very entertaining, Grace is very amusing.

Grace Hanover has the story of a lifetime, their is a witness to a drug deal gone wrong and is now in hiding and she know where the only problem is that he is in some remote Alaskan fishing resort and she hates the outdoors. Travis Barnett is a retired SEAL who is running his own private investigators business, when an old friend and fellow SEAL current FBI agent calls in a favor he can't say no. So off to Alaska Travis goes to bring in the witness the FBI left alone to his own devises which apparently is calling his loose lip girlfriend and tells her where he is. Now with a possible hit man after him Travis needs to go and bring him back to San Francisco.

Grace and Travis fly in together with a couple of other people on the tiny plane to the fishing resort in Moose Flat. Travis knows anyone of these people could be the hit man even the gorgeous reporter he can't take his eyes off of. Grace being the great reporter that she is deducts the Travis is there for the FBI witness. She follows him on a hiking trail to catch up to the witness, along the way they get close. Travis wants to explore the possibility of a relationship but Grace has doubts because she lives in San Francisco and Travis is based in Seattle that and Grace has a past she can't get over and doesn't think she deserves love.

Meanwhile the hit man rediscovers Grace and now he is gunning for her as much as he is his intended contract. Grace got her story but now she has had several attempts her life so Travis put his life on hold to protect her and she still doesn't think she deserves him. The connection between Grace and the hit man is screamingly obvious yet all the characters are oblivious but still a very enjoyable story.

I received a complimentary book from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is Book 2 in the Who's Watching Now series. However, even though I have read Book 1, it is very possible to read this book as a stand-alone. The heroine in this book is Grace Hanover who is the sister of Rachel in the first book.
Grace had a painful past when she was a teenager and this affects the way she thinks and act.

Grace is a reporter who will do anything necessary to get her story. That includes taking a tiny plane to this small town in Alaska to interview the key witness in a case that involves a mob boss. On the same plane is Travis Barnett. He is a former Seal who is now a private investigator. He is flying out to provide protection for the same witness.

Also in Moose Flat, Alaska is an assassin hired by the mob boss to kill the witness and anyone else who gets in his way while he is doing it. While pursuing the witness, the assassin discovers that he knows Grace from years ago and has been wanting to kill her out of revenge. So know he wants Grace no matter what.

Grace is very tough and very independent. She also is not looking for a relationship because she doesn't believe she deserves love. Travis and Grace have chemistry and the sparks are so strong that Travis would like to become involved with Grace. The assassin is a very cold man in spite of the fact that he intends to get his revenge on Grace. One of the things I love about this story is that we get to see inside of the assassin's mind as well as the hero and the heroine.

This story is a wonderful romantic suspense. The romance is great especially since it is the hero who wants the relationship and the heroine who puts up road blocks. The suspense has so many twists that I was never wanted to put the book down. There was a smooth flow between the chapters and the events in the book. The main characters are realistic with strengths and weaknesses. The villain is also interesting since, at times, we can see his thoughts also,

I highly recommend this book and the first book in the series, EVERY MOVE SHE MAKES.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Grace Hanover’s life is her career. She’s a reporter for a San Francisco newspaper and after getting a hot tip on a huge story, she’s headed to Alaska for an interview with a witness to a high-profile crime. Unfortunately, she’s not the only one that found out the witness’s location. Travis Barnett is a former Navy SEAL who runs his own security company. He’s hired by a friend of his in the FBI to go get the witness and bring him back to Seattle before he’s killed. When they meet each other on the flight to a tiny town in the middle of Alaska, the attraction is definitely there, but they’re both determined to ignore it so they can deal with their personal tasks at hand. While hiking around in the wilderness looking for the witness, they each come clean as to why they are there, just as it becomes evident that they aren’t the only ones and for some reason, the killer has taken a personal interest in Grace.
For most of the book, Grace is definitely all about “the story”. Even when I’m yelling at her to NOT be that stupid, she is anyways. Throughout most of the book, she makes relationship mistakes she is obviously famous for making as it’s painfully reminded to her up until the end. Her saving grace is what she had been through when she was a teen, which ironically is why she has a psychopath chasing after her. Her dedication to her family is what lets you know there’s something in her that’s worthy of Travis. Travis, unlike most men in Grace’s life, is able to see what she’s trying to do and he’s just as determined to make her give them a chance. He’s willing to do what it takes to make sure she’s safe and that she doesn’t give up.
I wasn’t really sure how much I was going to like this book. At 40% in, what I thought was the primary story seemed concluded, I wasn’t sure exactly how the author was going to stretch the rest of the story. I was very pleasantly surprised with all of it. I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes this genre.

Every Step She Takes by Jannine Gallant is book two in her Who's Watching Now series. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher, Kensington, in exchange for an honest review. This book was a first time read for me by this author but I had no problems reading this one even though I had not read the first book in the series.

Grace Hanover is a reporter that will do just about anything to get her story. Surprisingly, she is a "girly" heroine and you don't see many of those in romantic suspense stories. However, that doesn't stop her from doing whatever she needs to do to get the story. Even when that means treking through the Alaska wilderness to track down the guy she wants to interview. She is strong, sassy and stubborn.

Travis Barnett is a former Navy SEAL who now owns his own security firm in his home town of Seattle, WA. He is loyal, smart, tough (former Navy SEAL), dependable and all male. He is on a job for a friend to retrieve a Federal witness and bring him back to San Francisco to testify.

There is so much more to this story than just retrieving the witness and Grace getting her story. The pace was fast and the twists kept me turning the pages. Travis and Grace's relationship sparked from the beginning. The dialogue between them was often humorous as they began to know each other. A long distance relationship?

A turn the pages plot with twists you don't see coming, a writing style that flowed and suspense with a touch of romance. I look forward to reading the first book in this series now that I have found this author.

I read an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review, and here it is.

Grace, a reporter in San Francisco is on assignment in Alaska, trying to interview the only witness to murder case involving the leader of a drug cartel. He's in hiding at a fishing lodge. En route by plane, she meets Travis, a former Navy SEAL, who now runs a private investigation and security firm, and also on the plane, is a hit man for the drug lord, sent by the drug lord to kill the witness. What follows is an exciting hike to find the witness, hiking in Alaska's back country while attempting to evade the hit man, and protect and move the witness to a safe house, since his location has been compromised. While searching for him, Grace and Travis act on their attraction for one another, neither of them looking for a long-term relationship.

While this would normally be enough for a good romantic suspense novel, this story is nowhere near finished, and the author is not done keeping us glued to this novel. The witness, Sam, still has to survive long enough to testify, and, apparently, the hit man also has a private vendetta to settle with Grace. The romance between Grace and Travis also has quite a few twists and turns as well.

All I can say is where has this author been all my life? For a romantic suspense novel, this one has it all. Since this is the second novel in a series, I can't wait to backtrack and read the first one.

This story is sort of in two parts. The first half of the book, in Alaska, is intense, full of edgy, scary action. It is moving on the fast, riveting pace. The passion and attraction between Travis and Grace is palpable, the hike in the wilderness full of danger, not only from the unknown assassin, but the wildlife around them.
The whole story is told with lots of entertaining dialog, the humor and banter is fun, and the characters are well developed, lovable, and charming.
The second half of the book move on much slower pace, is less intense, with mostly the focus on the relationship developing between Travis and Grace, meeting the families, and problems they face along the road. There are little bursts of a suspense every now and then, cause the assassin is still on the loose, but not as fierce as the beginning.
Even though I was surprised how the plot was built, and how slow the second half of the story moved compared to the first one, overall I still enjoyed the story, the dialog, and the characters. There was development within the characters, especially with Grace, that went in to deep waters, some values, and priorities, that she needed to evaluate. Travis was really patient, and I liked how those issues were solved. I would definitely like to read more books in the series

I have found a new favorite among the many romance suspense authors that there are out there in the writing world. Every Step She Takes by Jannine Gallant is an excellent novel. The plot flows smoothly with great character development. The settings especially the Alaskan wilderness is easy to envision in your mind from the author’s vivid descriptive writing.

Journalist, Grace Hanover and Travis Barnett, security expert start out on opposite sides of an issue. Grace is hard not to like even if she is on the conniving side at the beginning. It’s hard not to admire her dedication to getting the story of a lifetime. Travis is just the kind of man you want when in the Alaskan wilderness or back in the city for that matter. The interaction between these two is fun and entertaining with just the right amount of heat. Then there is the danger faced by these two which adds to the overall perfect hard-to-put-down story.

My first book to read by Jannine Gallant but I will be on the lookout for others. If like me, you are fans of Kat Martin, Pamela Clare and Linda Howard you must add this author’s books to your list of go-to reads.

Who knew that a trip to Alaska could be so dangerous. Grace needs this story and she will do whatever she has to. Travis has to find the witness and get him back home. Grace needs the witness to get her story but she needs to find him first.
Can Travis & Grace work together and find the man without getting too involved with each other.
There is a killer out there and he is taking pot shots at them, will they get back safely.
Grace just wants her story she doesn't do relationship and Travis lives far away anyway.
Travis would like to see if they can make it work.
They are forced together again and they both need to work together but they are both stubborn.
The killer is still out there and he has his eyes set on Grace but she can't understand why.
Can Travis keep her safe or will it be too late?
A fast paced story that takes you on a journey from Alaska to Seattle & San Francisco. Lots of action and some steamy sex. Who knew that a mangy stray dog could become your saviour & friend.
Would have no problem in recommending this book. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Two people boarded the same flight to a remote part of Alaska with an agenda. Travis is going there to secure the witness in hiding as his location had been compromised while Grace needs to find that witness in hiding to get the exclusive story. Unbeknownst to them, there was a 3rd person onboard that plane with an agenda and he is to kill the witness in hiding.

I totally enjoyed this book just as much as the first book in this series. There was just enough intrigue and suspense that captivated my attention and kept me guessing through. I did however feel that Grace was a little too irritated for my liking on several occasions especially the part where she made use of Travis' trust and affections for her own gain all just for a story.

It was also nice that characters from the first book were melded into this story. This is my 2nd book by Jannine Gallant and you bet it won't be my last.

I received an ARC version of this book from Lyrical Press/Kensington in exchange for my honest review.

Grace and Travis meet on an airplane headed to Alaska. Both have an agenda and both are drawn to one another. Grace is a reporter on a mission and willing to do anything to get the story she is pursuing. Travis is an ex-SEAL sent by an FBI friend to fulfill a perhaps dangerous mission – he tries to avoid Grace but some things are just meant to be. As the story unfolds each character becomes more than what the reader might first think they are…and you will like both of them more and more as you continue to read.

In this book you will find danger, fun, great dialogue, wonderful main and supporting characters, people you would want to have as friends AND a bad guy that is relentless. There are surprises, twists and turns and in the end a thrilling wonderful story that truly drew me in and kept me reading throughout.

Thank you to Net Galley and Kensington Books-Lyrical Press for the copy of this book to read and review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun to see how Grace charmed everyone around her in order to get her story. She is a reporter, and she flew to Alaska to get the story that would make her career. A key witness was hiding away in the wilderness of Alaska. Travis a former Navy Seal who is now a PI working for the FBI has been sent to Alaska to bring the witness back. Grace follows Travis through the woods, until Travis gives in and lets her tag along. Grace is one strong lady, and there was no way she was turning back. She didn't bring a tent, so Travis ended up sharing his one person tent with Grace, and a dog that adopted Grace....

The story didn't end when they managed to fly out of Alaska. The suspense, and action was really good throughout the story. It was also sweet how Grace, and Travis found real love. I loved the plot, it had depth, and was not just a fluff piece. This book was worth the read.

Great Book!
This is a great book; this is the second book in the Who’s Watching Now series by Jannine Gallant. This book can be read as a standalone. Grace is a tough as nails reporter in San Francisco. She will do anything for a story which means her following a witness to the Alaskan wilderness. She ends up partnering with the sexy former Navy Seal Travis Barnett. They need to work together to survive. If you are looking for a great romance with suspense then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Grace is a reporter from San Francisco and traveling to the wilds of Alaska to get her story. Travis is a former Navy Seal sent to protect a witness from a mob boss out to get rid of any evidence. When the assassin discovers he know Grace he decides to get revenge as well as take out the witness. With their lives in danger can these two trust each other enough to work together to stay alive and perhaps find their happily ever after? Lots of drama and suspense, I loved the chemistry between Travis and Grace. The story kept me entertained throughout. This is the second in the Who’s Watching Now Series and can be read as a stand-alone. Enjoy.

This was an excellent read. I really would recommend this to anyone who likes romantic suspense. Grace and Travis meet in an unexpected way and dodge bullets, she goes after her story and he tries to protect his clients witness and also Grace. If you don't care for books that read like a sex manual you will like this one. The romance is clear but not spelled out for half the book. I really enjoyed this author. It is the first book of hers I have read but will not be the last. I would highly recommend it!

If you like strong women who can take care of themselves and equally tough heroes, you will enjoy this book. Grace, a journalist, has the gift of being able to talk her way through anything, including an undercover PI's tent, past FBI agents, and safe houses. She is so spunky, you have to root for her even when she's stepping all over everyone's toes and frustrating the man who is falling in love with her. From Alaska to San Francisco to California vineyards to a touch of Seattle, Gallant creates a high tension suspense that is a great read.

A great book that is filled with romance, suspense, and adventure. This story is centered around Grace Hanover, a tenacious reporter willing to do anything to get the interview and story she's after and Travis Barnett, ex SEAL turned investigator, who has been hired to find a witness and bring him in. Both after the same man for different reasons. The twists and turns this story takes will have you turning page after page. I recommend it.

This romantic suspense had a good beginning with plenty of action and adventure but about midway the heroine made such a bad choice contrary to her nature and from then on the story wasn't very believable as she tried to atone. Reporter Grace goes to wilds of Alaska to get a story and at the same time PI Travis heads there to protect a witness.

Second book in a romantic suspense series that will keep you guessing. . Extremely opinionated and independent woman meets former Navy SEAL owner of a security company. She wants to get a story, he wants to save an important witness. The heat is on!
