Victoria Kelly has been running scared for six long years. The life she leads is a constant battle to stay one step ahead of the past that haunts her. To build up her walls and keep everyone at a distance. It’s the only way to survive in this twisted web that’s been woven for her, and there’s no escaping it.
Gabriel Maddox is a man who knows what he wants. But what he wants, and what is expected from him, are two entirely different things. To survive his harshest critics, Gabriel has had to adapt. To become cold and ruthless in all aspects of his life, including his relationships. It’s a lifestyle that seems to work for him. It’s how he stays sane. How he stays in control. How he protects himself.
But when Victoria and Gabriel collide, they ignite something in each other that they never knew existed. With dark secrets lurking around every corner, can these two overcome the obstacles that lie ahead?
Please note: This book contains explicit sexual content, including elements of BDSM and dark erotica. Also, a very alpha male who likes to drop the f-bomb frequently. You have been warned!

I love, love, love Boston Underworld series by A. Zavarelli and they hold a fave place in my heart and mind but these books here, were written before them and I have a feeling they were meant as a practice for the making of further masterpieces aka Boston Underworld, Salacious...
I liked the blurb but i found the story a bit rushed in delivering of the punch lines and culminations in the plot. The characters seemed underdeveloped in their emotional expansivness they were attempting to achieve through out sexual liberation, and for me, there wasn't enough of power to hold it all together...
Like i said, I generally liked it but I didnt love it and I m glad that this author definitely showed her own growth and finesse in crafting her writing style.
Arc received in exchange for an honest review. Falling Series is a all in one book that has 3 volumes. Volume1 is Falling into temptation. I'm not sure how to review this without ruining what is bound to happen throughout the story, so I will break my review into the 3 different volumes, if you don't want to know what happens going further, don't read my review past volume 1. I'll try my hardest not to ruin anything with spoilers.
VOLUME 1, FALLING INTO TEMPTATION.
Holy Hell... I want me one of those Gabriel Maddox, he us one sexy alpha, and I just love them. Mr Maddox, is a bit of a man whore, heir to the Maddox hotel Empire, he is under the thumb of his mother and father to take over the reigns when his father steps down, just a shame that is bit what he wants.... And what Gabriel wants, Gabriel gets - this is no different to wanting a certain young woman with a smart mouth who gave him what for after she accidentally ran into him outside his office.
Victoria Colleti, is running from her past and this running causes her to collide with Gabriel Maddox literally. Not the least bit taken by his arrogant nature and bad attitude. She tells him off in no uncertain terms and after walking away from him she is haunted by him. Just when she thinks she is free of Mr Maddox he scopes her out, finds out where she works and begins his blatant control of her. He wants her, it is just a matter of time before she gives into him. But with obvious baggage Victoria will not be an nut to crack. Can Victoria look past her issues to persue a "relationship" with Gabriel or will her demons ruin everything before it even begins.
VOLUME 2, FALLING INTO EXPOSURE.
Well, wow this series keeps getting better, I'm loving it. I find myself so enthralled by its storyline that everything outside of Gabriel and Victoria ceases to exist.
So now that Victoria has given into domineering, and almost rude but insanely gorgeous Gabriel, the pair enter what I can only describe as a full on, heat filled sexual relationship. Very quickly Victoria discovers that she not only loves the fiery, rough encounters but yearns for Gabriel's touch, his words ( whether dirty or sweet) and his dominance in and out of the bedroom. But whether she likes it or not, Victoria knows that whatever this is that she has with Gabriel is short lived, her time in New York is temporary.... Aahhh denial!
During Falling into Temptation, we have a glimpse of Victoria's past and the haunting evil being behind her terror that is Eleanore.... Without giving anything away, we are given a little bit more, another piece of the Victoria Colleti jigsaw puzzle.
But as with every book, there is 2 sides to its story, and this one also includes Gabriel Maddox, bad boy, filthy rich and just a little domineering. He is taken by this crazy woman who doesn't cower to his wealth but gives him all the attitude she can muster. Like Victoria, Gabriel realizes that like her, the feelings he has for her are not all hot sex, dom/sub... but a love and that scares the crap out of him. He comes from a family where feelings are not shown, but Miss Victoria turns all his emotions on its head. With a crazy ex and his female followers, Victoria has her work cut out for her, but Gabriel doesn't care for the women that fall all over him, he only has interest in one woman, Victoria Colleti. He just has to find what it is that haunts her and has her running....
VOLUME 3, FALLING INTO SURRENDER.
This is the final story that makes up the falling series, and is without a doubt the best. It is the explosive ending that ties all of Victoria's past and Gabriel's present and future. I'm not sure how to explain without giving away all the deets, so I'll leave it by saying - no stone was left unturned. The final pieces in the jigsaw puzzle that has had on the edge of my seat this whole review. There is a happy ending but nit without many "gasps" " hell no's" and "OMG" moments.
Do yourself a favor and one click this series, no won't be disappointed. I loved it
I received this book in exchange for honest review
The title of the series is fitting for what it holds.
We have Gabriel and we have Victoria. They come from different words but from the first moment they can't get each other out of their head. The reader can smell the romance here, but it is not a typical romance. It is intense, with some crime, kinky sex, sexy scenes and light BDSM.
In their first encounter he comes out like a snob but still they draw a spark. He is an alpha male who knows what he wants but through the stories we see some of this insecurities. I liked the change in his personality that comes from his attachment to her. Their relationship is intense and scenes are hot but there were moments when he was cold and arrogant on purpose.
And then we have Victoria who is running from her psychotic step mother. And her number one rule is don't get attached and never stay more than 3 months at the same place. Small parts from her running may come unrealistic but they add to suspense.
I could split the series into three important breakthroughs: The truth, the breakdown and the love.
The writing was, good, the suspense well put into the storyline and it keeps the reader hooked to the end. The characters had real personality, the chemistry between them is well written and the storyline is simply hot. I recommend to read the whole series at once, otherwise you’ll get yourself crazy wanting to know what happens next ;)
It was free so I brought it. I thought it would be good but it wasn't. The writing was a complete and total let down. Everything was just rushed and it didn't flow smoothly in my opinion. The erotic scenes were awful. Mostly in just a sentence or two or a little paragraph. Though their first sexual encounter at his apartment was written out with some detail but not all much. It's just when the author gets to the actual intercoure, it is just a paragraph. And if they do it more than once then expect a sentence of how he f*cked her and by the end of it they are both breathless.
That doesn't make me feel connected to the story if it is going to be glossed over like that. And if the initial plot or Victoria's backstory was going to be revealed in a conversation, I might have been able to look past it.
I only got up to about the second or third chapter in the second book before calling it quits. She went to his apartment after he sent her some outfit telling her to wear it that night. She goes over there and he lets her blow him and then he gets rough with that and then he screws her and once again acts coldly to her and says she can leave. She gets upset, cures him out and goes to leave and then he runs after her and kisses her face saying sorry and she forgives him and stays the night with him. And then the next chapter is him once again going back and forth over if he should be a jerk to her or not since that is how everyone sees him anyways.
Then after that, the next morning he screws her again which is just a paragraph and after that is Victoria summarizing the next three days saying she spent those days at his place.
I hate this style of writing where authors act like they can't be bothered to be actual writers and write something. If they are not having sex then she is talking to her friend about the situation and having second thoughts. Can we move along with the plot now please? I couldn't be bothered anymore.
Sorry it took a while for me to finish this series, but here's my review for this series :
Quite complicated love and life story, i really like the characters personality specially Victoria, even she had a dark past and lived in fear, she always stay humble, positive and full of forgiveness even to the person who abused or betrayed her.
And for Gabriel Maddox (such a powerful name), i like how his personality changing from the beginning of the story to the end of it, how he protected her, how desperated when he almost lost her, and finally win her back.
My favorite part was when Gabriel was tied up and could not do anything to help Victoria. I can imagined how helpless he is at that time and the other part is the change of Gabriel from a gentlemen becomes a beast when he's having sex with victoria in front of the mirror while standing.
I don't know where to begin! Sooooooo many emotions as a result of this amazing read!
First and foremost, kudos to Zavarelli for thinking and writing outside the box! The "bad guy/stalker" in this story...FLAWLESS! Not one iota of one thing about the psycho is typical. Yep Zavarelli played us like a violin on that one. I mean *jaw dropped on the floor* kinda thing!
Of course the psycho is the reason for everything. BUT in the midst of the madness Victoria finds her Orion! Secrets, lies, betrayal, ten shades of darkness all exploited in this story. It's a dark one for sure. Triggers. Definitely for some. Proceed with caution.
As usual Zavarelli played us, SLAYED us, gave us a smidgen of hope, and then finally the one thing we wanted for Gabriel and Victoria from page one.....
ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review
I really loved the book. I really enjoyed it so much. All i wanted was more and more. I cpuldnt get enough of it. The story grabbed me from the start. It was dramatic, sexy and passionate. Each paragraph told a unique story of Victoria and Gabriel.
I loved the characters a lot. I liked their chemistry and I commend the author (A. Zavarelli) for writing such amazing hot scenes. They were damn hot. Woww hot hot hot hot. How was she able to write them. Wow.
I loved seeing their happily ever after and I didnt want it to end at all. The only thing i will criticise is that it was too short. Thats all. It was very addictive and had me on thw edge of my feet.
This series ended up being much more than I was expected. It didn't follow the typical millionaire, playboy finds love with an average, run-of-the-mill girl.
Gabriel Maddox is a much deeper character than I thought when I started the series. While he appears to be a stuck up, dominate, alpha male he actually ends up having a much deeper side that connects with Victoria.
Victoria Colletti is running from her very dark and disturbing past. She has no interest in the flashy lifestyle that Gabriel is accustom to and has no problem telling him that. It take a while for Victoria to give Gabriel a chance and when she does it's so worth it.
This series moves quickly and will keep you interested and wanting more. I would highly recommend it.
I am thrilled that I grabbed this boxed set when I had the opportunity. When the couple felt an emotion I did as well. The author did a very wonderful job at setting the scenes and letting you feel what they are feeling. I sunk myself deep into every part of it. I spent the last book and a half crying over the different things that kept happening. The surprises that the author delivers nearly brought me to my own knees never thinking that there could ever be a good enough explanation for what those surprises are. I eventually got so frustrated that my kindle almost became a casualty of the Hunted series!
I just finished reading this series. I have been on a fabulous rollercoaster of love. There is everything in this set of books. Fear. Betrayal. Lust. Love. I liked both main characters from the beginning, but by the midway point, I was in love with both of them. I like how the relationship grows and changes along with their lives. It feels genuine. I reviewed each book as I was reading the series, so look to my other reviews if you want to know a little more.
Didn't like this series as much as the Echo duet, this one had a plot that was a bit more one dimensional with less intrigue and angst. However, still well written, easy to read, plenty of steamy moments, touch of BDSM, and some suspense. While there is no epilogue, all loose ends are tied up and I didn't feel short changed cause this couple rarely spoke about the future so it might have been a bit forced had we seen them together months or years down the line.
I have loved everything Ms. Zavarelli has written and this book is no exception! I loved the mystery and suspense throughout the series and I even cured a time or two. The love that Victoria and Gabriel have for each other is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this series!
Great box set. Raunchy, naughty, emotional and a little sad in parts. Wouldn't want to read this series any other way than a box set. Too many cliffhanger otherwise. Trying hard not to compare very similar scenes to other books but if u can forgive those, it's an easy read. Flows really well. Was a little concerned in last book over Gabriel's attitude can't say any more but HEA after all?
I'm so happy I read this book, I have always wanted this kind of dom/sub relationship. It sadness me that people compare this book with FSOG because they are nothing alike. If you aren't a big fan of that series you might enjoy this one, why?
First of all because of Gabriel, he might look like the typical manwhore and arrogant man but he actually built himself this wall because all the women he has been involved with are behind his social status and money. Yes, he has secrets but this secrets didn't form his kinky side. I love the fact he was able to open himself to Victoria pretty quickly in the series and he was possessive and jealous but not in a over the top kind of way.
"Yes, I love to dominate women, having that kind of control over someone… that kind of trust, it turns me on. But more than anything, I want someone to want to please me."
He agrees a dom/sub relationship with Victoria for a period of three months. The only reason why she accepts this is because she will be gone after that time if not earlier, why? Because she's running away from her past, of the woman sho was supposed to raise her and love her but instead of that made sure to break her and humiliate her. Her step-mother Eleanor. (See... she is the one with the awful past) And this is why I LOVED this book. Victoria is so different from the usual submissive we see in books because she is a girl with a smart-mouth, a survivor and a fighter, she is tough and doesn't always follow the rules.
This has to be one of my favorite couples in the book world, because although they had a dom/sub relationship this wasn't ALL the time. Gabriel was also a sweet lover and actually enjoyed when Victoria will take charge in giving him pleasure. He actually didn't like when Victoria ask him not to show this caring side of him and he made sure she regretted this request. He also wasn't an over excessive dom outside the bedroom, he didn't control Victoria life or stalk her like some other doms I have read.
The sex scene were SO HOT and the chemistry and conversion between them warm my heart every single time and make them built a real relationship at the end.
Book 1: Wow! This one is filled with mystery as Victoria is running from something- we just don't know what yet. And Gabriel? Oh my... I found myself moving at a fast pace while reading and couldn't wait to find out where the story was taking us. I was left needing more at the end and am still wondering why Victoria is on the run. I like the way the two main characters met and the whole thing seems to be a whirl wind after that. Can't wait to read on to see what happens next!
Book 2: Say what? I knew Victoria was running for a reason and we find out what she is running from in this one. Knowing she will have to leave New York and Gabriel behind soon she tries to distance herself, but it is harder than she thinks. And Gabriel well being Gabriel doesn't make it any easier. We get to see some different sides to him in this book and we find there is more to him than meets the eye. The ending left me hanging from the cliff and I have to know how this story ends. I wonder will Victoria get the peace she needs? This one was even better than the last one and I expect the next to be even better!
Book 3: Epic conclusion to an awesome series! What can I say- I fell in love with these characters and am disappointed to see it end. This one has a few twists and you will have to read it to see how Victoria and Gabriel's story plays out. That being said I found this whole series intriguing and loved it from the beginning to end. It was nice to see Gabriel and Victoria grow through out and I found myself rooting for them. And just when you think things might be ok A throws a curveball in and leaves you wondering where the story will go from there. If you like a great read filled with steamy scenes and lots of twists and turns this series will definitely be for you.
I've been trying formulate my thoughts and feelings into some sort of order so that I can write this review when all that keeps coming to mind is holy bleeping hell that was an awesome read!!!!
This series I believe was released as individual parts but I read it as one book in the boxset. I'm soooooooo pleased I was able to do that because honestly I don't think my heart would have coped having to wait for each instalment !!! Oooh the drama, the mystery, the intensity, the intrigue, the panty melting sex scenes ....I could go on and I still couldn't sum this story up into one sentence other than you have to read this it's amazing.
From page one this story had me hooked in its world. First we meet Victoria, a woman on the run from something in her past. While running she literally bumps straight into Gabriel Maddox a rich ego centric alpha male and one that Victoria doesn't need or want in her life, or so she thinks.
The love hate chemistry that develops between the two characters is electric, there's a power struggle in the beginning that just sucks you in wondering who will win and who are you rooting for. Every page after this just gets better and better, I found myself eager to read the next page with excitement and anticipation of how the story unfolded. I don't like to give away spoilers so all I will say is this is definitely worth clicking on and gets 10 out of 10 from me !!
Thank you Ms Zaverelli you have never failed to deliver an outstanding read !
Falling series The falling series was a fantastic read and I would recommend reading it.
Book 1 Falling into Temptation
WOW!! This was my first read by this author, and it won't be the last. From the moment I started reading, I was hooked. The book contained it all, great characters with enough depth to make you love them. You can't help but turn pages with this book. The mystery and steaminess that keeps the story moving along a good speed. Victoria and Gabriel, they are so hot, steamy and sexy. I can not wait to read the rest of their stories.
Book 2 Falling into Exposure
Falling into Exposure is the second in the Falling Series. The story is full of love, lust and hidden secrets. This book is hot, steamy and sexy that left me breathless and also made me cry. I love Gabriel and Victoria, there were times I wanted to throw my kindle in frustration. The book is coming together with secrets being exposed and to find out who Victoria's stalker is. What an ending. I look forward to reading the final book in the series.
Book 3 Falling into Surrender
Falling into Surrender is the third and last book of the Falling series and it was absolutely fantastic. This book is pack with action, suspense, anxiety, tears, passion, love and most definitely hot, sexy, steamy parts that will make you panting for more. I love Gabriel and Victoria. They both deserve happily ever after.
The writing was good. The plot was good. The steamy sex and light BDSM were good. The action scenes were good. But somewhere in the middle, everything just sort of lost its way. That was the point where I began to do anything on the iPad except read this book. And when I did open the book again, I began skimming through the pages. Things picked up in the last part of the book, but by that time, I wasn't much interested in the outcome and continued to skim all the way through to the end.
I don't even know what I could have suggested that would have retained my interest throughout the book other than, less... Maybe it's because you can only read about sex so many times before it becomes mundane. How many different ways can you describe oral sex? How many different ways can you describe finger manipulation? How many different ways can you describe the sex act, regardless of whether it's upside down, sideways, backward, right side up, on a table, a desk, a countertop, a chair, ....? Well, you get the picture. Yet, the tragedy here is that the book had a plot that included the sex, but it was so overdone that it detracted from the enjoyment of the book.
I have read a number of Ms. Zavarelli's books and have enjoyed them. I chose this one with my eyes wide open. It's just that I expected better than what she delivered.
>I am an independent reviewer. This series contains three books, Falling into Temptation, Falling into Exposure, and Falling into Surrender. The series ends with an HEA.
>Victoria is on the run, moving every few months. She literally runs into rich Gabriel one day and so begins his obsession with her. The story is very erotic with many BDSM scenes. There is a lot of angst on Victoria's part as she struggles with trying to have a relationship on the run. The author reveals only a little of her reasons for running, so it is hard to understand why Victoria can't stay and see where the relationship with Gabriel is going. By the end of the story, everything is revealed.
>Gabriel's backstory is told fairly quickly, but didn't seem all that bad to me. The angst was missing from his story. There really isn't much interaction with his past partners and Victoria. Other than Anya, no one else is a threat to Victoria. To me, the more threats, the greater the fight. The love story stalled at the end, but the reasoning given by Gabriel was weak and unsatisfying. However, I did like both Gabriel and Victoria and I wanted them to get their HEA.
>This story is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this series 4 stars.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This box set is three cliffhanger books combined to make one complete book and thank you Ms. Zavarelli for that. If books were only sold as cliffhangers, I would never know what a good storyteller you are.
This is your typical heroine running from a past and meets wealthy hero. However, the author keeps you guessing until at least 3/4 of the way into the book before you know exactly why she is in hiding. I was a bit disappointed regarding the big climax of her past left a few unanswered questions as to side characters involvement. It does not take away from the story. I just wish it was explained.
The writing was good and would look for more by this author.
I received a free copy of this 3 book box set in exchange for a honest review.
At the beginning of the series we are introduced to a young lady named Victoria who has a dark and mystorious past and is on the run with her best friend Alanna. By a chance encounter Victoria bumps into the rich and sexy Gabriel Maddox and lights a sexual fire under him. As Gabriel and Victoria explore there sexual chemistry with light BDSM a bond starts to develop between the two. Before long Victoria's past catches up to her and the danger explodes.
Not for the faint of heart, this series is very sexually descriptive. It is also not a vanilla but dominant submissive instead. That being said, it is the exciting and well written love story of two broken people who find love in each other.
I would also warn that child and spousal abuse are also touched on if these are areas of sensitivity for the reader.
The few grammar and spelling errors were easy to over look but they are not usually found in such a well written book. For the sake of quality control, I hope they are addressed
I read this series as a box set. The story was a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed reading this and loved how the characters evolved over the 3 books. Victoria is running scared and Gabriel is emotionally turned off due to his history. They work so well together even with everything that gets thrown at them. They both fight to conquer the demons in their lives and feed off of each other in the process. This really is a HEA even though it kind of left me wanting a bit more story.
It took a while for me to get into the series. but I am glad I stuck with it as it got better.
Gabriel needs to be in control of everything in his life. Victoria just needs to feel free, instead of running from her past. A past that could potentially be fatal to her and those she is close too.
Can this be a relationship that works. Or maybe the past has a cruel way of stopping it.
I would defiantly recommend the book to friends and looking forward to reading her other books.
