On the whole I'd give this compilation of four erotically charged stories a 7/10 or 3.5 stars.

I read these as individual stories, so below are my reviews on each book, written immediately after I read them. This is a MUST read series!!
Dazzled-
I actually read this after reading Layers Deep, so I already have a huge love for Tristan and the author Ms Silks has done this amazingly as well.
I found my self just melting for Gabe, he was amazingly alpha and hero all rolled together. Samantha was slightly naive regarding Kendra but I didn't begrudge her that too much.
I knew going into this that there were some F/M/F and F/F scenes but they didn't bother me at all because I was too wrapped up in the story!
Another great read by Lacey Silks!!!
Layers 1-
I devoured this book in less than 12 hrs! I thoroughly enjoyed the story and now despite knowing there would be a cliff hanger, still feel bereft at having to wait who knows how long for some closure! Allie, is a tough and sexy female lead and Tristan is yummy alpha male. I enjoyed the suspense portion of this book, just as much as the romance/sexy parts. I would say I could have done with more suspense but that's just me. I give this 4 1/2 stars! I need my closure on Allie and Tristan and would love to see what happens with Julian and Kendra, as well as with Laura(although I have my suspicions that she is Allies replacement).
Layers 2-
I got an ARC....EEEK! I could not read this fast enough. I was nose to my kindle all day, turning pages furiously. I don't want to give any spoilers but lets just say this book does NOT disappoint us Tristan Cross lovers at all. I am glad Allie and Tristan got their HEA finally and it didn't go at all like I had expected after the cliffhanger of Layers Deep. I must say I am now a little nervous for Book 3 which will be from Kendra's POV, I can't really see myself liking her despite how I know I should. I know there will be big bombshells coming and I am not exactly excited to see my perfect little Tristan or Julian, or heck even Gabe tarnished any in my mind. For those who have read and loved Layers Deep you will love Layers Peeled like I did. Plenty of hot sex, romance and suspense! Great job Lacey Silks!
Layers 3-
"I've got you"
I can say I was not the largest fan of Kendra going into this book, even knowing there was much we didn't know about her. After reading this book, while I am still not sold on her being amazing enough for Julian Cross I did like her character more. This story picks up from Kendra's rescue and parallels Layers Deep & Layers Peeled giving us glimpses of what Kendra was dealing with during certain events in Allie & Tristan's lives. This story has a few flashbacks in time taking us to the past of Kendra, it was not difficult to follow at all and helped bring the big picture into focus. I can tell you I didn't expect the twists this book took and I enjoyed myself immensely. Julian was amazing and we see just how much and how long he has loved Kendra, bringing to new meaning to I've got you. There are some very steamy sex moments that had me needing a fan and a moment to collect myself. There wasn't as much suspense or action moments as we got in the previous to Layers books but this was a great read! I cannot wait to see what else Lacey Silks has in store for us in the future, I know this closes the Layers Trilogy but I wouldn't mind some follow up to see what happens with Laura and James and to see what a grown up Emma finds for herself.

Dazzled by Silver: Lacey Silks grabs you from the first paragraph with witty banter between Kendra, Sam and Gabe. While Kendra and Sam are getting drinks from sexy bartender Gabriel on opening night for Kendra's new club, sparks begin to fly between Sam and Gabe. However both Sam and Gabe have scars from past relationships that keep them apart but yet each time they see each other after this the flirty banter continues and is oh so much fun! Kendra gets involved with some bad people which inadvertently puts Sam in danger by being her friend. Gabe to the rescue who really owns a PI firm and is Kendra's silent partner in the club. As the 3 escape trouble, Sam and Gabe are given a chance to finally have dinner and see if what they feel will be more than a one-night stand – oh, and the sex is amazing. This is a shorter book but Lacey doesn't leave anything out and keeps you engaged the entire time.
Layers Deep: Yes, there is a cliff hanger but OMG, what an amazing, sexy, suspenseful, erotic ride. Allie Green sees Tristan Cross when he comes to the police in search of someone for his investigation firm and can't keep her eyes off him. When Allie had an encounter with Tristan at a bar that evening, the sparks do fly but she works to maintain a professional relationship. Tristan is doing everything he can to convince Allie to work for him – he needs her expertise to find/save someone. Allie really wants to work for Tristan so she can find/destroy someone from her past. The banter/dialogue between Tristan and Allie is witty, flirty and electrically charged. The element of suspense as Allie prepares and then goes undercover to find/rescue Tristan's friend will keep you glued to the page/screen. Really loved the chemistry between Allie and Tristan which generates incredible sex scenes … even in the boxing ring! Anxiously awaiting the next installment … need to know how the conversation ends.
Layers Peeled: We pick up right where Layers Deep ended … Allie and Tristan are in his office both with big news to reveal. Lacey Silks keeps up the action and suspense in this installment while at the same time letting Tristan and Allie work toward/find a softer side, the need to build a family. I enjoyed the balance between their careers and personal life along with the great sexual chemistry and steamy love scenes. Of course, they will face new challenges as people from their past resurface testing my resolve as a reader to not throw my Kindle! It was also wonderful spending time with Gabe, Sam. Julian, Kendra and Emma. Love how this series pulls you in and keeps you embedded to the very end.
Layers Off: Strap yourself in for an amazing finish to the Layers series. In Layers Off we get to find out Kendra's story which surprised me in so many ways. Kendra is recovering from being held as a sex slave and dealing with this trauma is bringing back nightmares from years ago, things she feels are real but doesn’t remember. Unraveling Kendra's past and how it intertwines with everyone else's stories really brings the series full circle and fills in any gaps that I may have had from the other installments. Loved the interactions with all the characters in the series and how this group has created this unique family. Once again the chemistry between Kendra and Julian is off the charts giving us the needed romance and sex right along with all the suspenseful action.

I didn't enjoy this trilogy, my biggest problem was the all the cliffhangers that tied the books together.
The mystery that is introduced in the prequel is on that is carried over into the series. Gabriel
Silver, PO and co-owner of his own firm was just doing a favor for a friend. Samantha Connor is looking for a one night stand after getting dumped by her boyfriend. Neither of them are looking for a relationship. Soon Samantha is mixed up with Gabriel's case and they're working to save their friend Kendra from herself.
While there is a mystery component to this story the main plot was Gab and Sam. The romance and their relationship overshadow the mystery with some very over the top descriptions of their lovemaking.
This story ends with a cliffhanger. I'm not fond of stories that make you read the next book (or two) in order to get a resolution.
The first book in the trilogy is a continuation of the mystery that started in the prequel. Tristian Cross, Gabe's business partner is on the search for Kendra. He'll do anything to find her including putting All'e Green life in danger
As a cop Allie is used to risking her life to save others, when Tristian asks her to go undercover as part of a dangerous auction, she doesn't hesitate. As he gets to know her, Tristian's focus soon becomes split as he rushes to save Kendra while becoming increasing worried about Allie's safety.
This story is another cliff hanger.
The second story picks up right where the first one left off. The second story continues to focus on Allie's and Tristian's relationship. The mystery from the first story is continued. There was really no reason to split these into two books.
This book has a gap of time missing in it that is covered in the third and last installment.
The Third story is of Julian and Kendra's .... relationship. Kendra is rescued with slavery where she's been brutalized and Julian is there while she recuperates. In my opinion Kendra recovered mentally far to quickly from what the author described happening to her. In trying to move the story into their romance it made the characters feel entirely too fictional. The author also tries to give Kendra a backstory which seems equally fantastical and not at all believable.

I love the layers trilogy
I loved the trilogy, it was different from my normal romance novels i read and it had me wondering what was going to happen next and it was like being able to solve your own mystery story...it kept me up many of nights not wanting to stop reading it, you are one of my favorite Authors, loved loved it...keep the good works coming...

this was one of the best written trilogy sets that I have read in a long time. the stories were well explained and thought out I loved the suspense, and the connection of the couple's. please keep writing these type of box set and I will keep purchasing them.

Dazzled ….Can two people with different horrible past's get past their commitment issues and find Love ? Well if your name is Gabriel Silver you will do everything in your power to make a certain someone feel safe, wanted and finally LOVED for the first time in a very very long time. Samantha Connor is not looking for anything else but a one night stand....after how her last boy friend treated her who could blame her. She didn't know life was so different with other people. Kendra, her long time friend tried to help her but she wasn't the right companion for her ! Thank god ! Oh yes a god does come along and save her but with his crazy, intense and sometime scary job can he keep her safe and showhertruelove ?
This book was amazing !! The author keeps your heart racing with her style of writing that keep you on the edge of your seat waiting and hoping and looking forward to the next scene on the next page !! I have to say I read this book in a 12 hour period because I couldn't put it down.
Deep…Tristan captured my thoughts and breathes by the end of chapter 2.....I read this book in 1 day !! Could not put Alllie and Tristan's story down because I could not wait to get to the next page to see whether I was going to breath hard, cry, scream or just giggle. Between the mix of family, friends, work, sex trafficking, spying, drugs and of course the CLIFFHANGER you will not be able to put this book down.
Both Tristan and Allie have dark past's and bright futures but with the triangle they are caught in can there secrets, happiness and love keep them together ? Allie helps save Kendra but will Tristan fall for Kendra again or will Justin have a say in the matter ?
Allie and Tristan's chemistry is Hot and Steamy in the ring and out
Peeled….I knew I was looking right into h _ _ soul "..... Could Allie have peeled all of Tristan's layers away or did Tristan peel all of Allie's layers away ? From the beginning of this book to its final words, the excitement of what would be on the next page had you gripping on the edge of your seat.
Between the news of the baby....the job....the injuries....the woman trafficking and let's not forget David Wright ! You never knew what was on the next page.
It was a work relationship to start with between Allie and Tristan that turned into something warm, loving, exciting and scary at times. The line of work that they both were in could guarantee you a gun fight somewhere in this book but you never knew who it would be with or who you would be protecting because of it ?
Can Allie and Tristan's love for one another be strong enough to stand the tides, not knowing they were in deep love with one another or would old flames damage what they have or would work get in there way ? Not having a very big family, Allie really never knew what a happy holiday was because she was always trying to keep her Mom safe but after the Cross's taking Allie and her Mom under there wing, she finally found the love, safety and the blessings of a wonderful family she only always dreamed about !!
I say yes they can have it ALL....love, work, marriage and children !!
Off….This is the amazing turn around story about Kendra and Julian. Did you ever hear the quote "You should never judge a book by it cover"?.....Well I have to say I judged Kendra all wrong !! In the beginning when we first saw Kendra in Dazzled by Silver I didn't get a good vibe from her....drinking, drugs, wanting girls, wanting guys, thought she was all that....but when you finally hear her story here.....you will have a change of heart like I did !!
After Allie saved Kendra from the sex ring she needed help....she wanted to get back to her old old self before the drugs and alcohol but can she do it without Julian's help ? He is her safety blanket.....she wanted to be close to him like she was when he first helped her out if a devastating situation. Can he help her once again when she starts remember things from her past ? This book was amazing !! The author keeps your heart racing with her style of writing that keep you on the edge of your seat waiting and hoping and looking forward to the next scene on the next page !! I have to say I read this book in a 12 hour period because I couldn't put it down.
Deep…Tristan captured my thoughts and breathes by the end of chapter 2.....I read this book in 1 day !! Could not put Alllie and Tristan's story down because I could not wait to get to the next page to see whether I was going to breath hard, cry, scream or just giggle. Between the mix of family, friends, work, sex trafficking, spying, drugs and of course the CLIFFHANGER you will not be able to put this book down.
Both Tristan and Allie have dark past's and bright futures but with the triangle they are caught in can there secrets, happiness and love keep them together ? Allie helps save Kendra but will Tristan fall for Kendra again or will Justin have a say in the matter ?

Peeled….I knew I was looking right into h _ _ soul "..... Could Allie have peeled all of Tristan's layers away or did Tristan peel all of Allie's layers away ? From the beginning of this book to its final words, the excitement of what would be on the next page had you gripping on the edge of your seat.
Between the news of the baby....the job....the injuries....the woman trafficking and let's not forget David Wright ! You never knew what was on the next page.
It was a work relationship to start with between Allie and Tristan that turned into something warm, loving, exciting and scary at times. The line of work that they both were in could guarantee you a gun fight somewhere in this book but you never knew who it would be with or who you would be protecting because of it ?

In the beginning when we first saw Kendra in Dazzled by Silver I didn't get a good vibe from her....drinking, drugs, wanting girls, wanting guys, thought she was all that....but when you finally hear her story here.....you will have a change of heart like I did !!

Dazzled By Silver....This is a Brilliant beginning to what I believe is going to be an exciting and amazing trilogy......Here we meet Samantha Connor who is just out of a dead end relationship. One that she thought she'd be safe in, or at least her heart would be safe from falling in love. She has loved and lost, all at the age of seventeen through a disease that destroyed her, even as it slowly took her love from her. She vowed never to love again.........We also meet Gabriel Silver. He has also vowed never to love again after the death of his wife which he blames himself for. Gabe, his cousin's, Tristan and Julian together own one of the largest securities company and along with being private investigators are owners or investors in many other things. One of them is the new club that Samantha's best friend, Kendra just opened up. It's here, at the grand opening that Sam meets the sex on a stix bartender named Gabe.
From here things get quite erotic as Sam is introduced to new and exciting sexual horizons with Kendra while being drawn to Gabe..... this is like her fantasizing all becoming real, and that would have been wonderful except for everything that is also about to overflow into her life, courtesy of the real bad men that Kendra got mixed up in. The very same men that killed Gabes wife. And to that end recruits Allie Green, the rookie cop we met briefly in the last book. She has her own reasons for wanting the job. She needs the available resources to carry out her own agenda for revenge...to kill the man responsible for her father's death and rape of her mother which resulted in the death of the unborn baby girl she carried.
What she didn't count on was the draw they both seem to share for each other and how complicated things could get because of it.....
This is a no holds barred look at the underbelly of human traffickers and the humiliation and cruelty that the victims are subjected to. Can Allie handle the part of a victim so as to get to Kendra? Especially after learning about the history between her & Tristan? Is what they have together a lie? Is he using her to get Kendra back because he still loves her? How is she suppose to stay focused and not get them both killed? ......this is the one you don't want to miss out on, because you know that what ever can go wrong, usually will! And the cliffhanger on this one, yep....there is one, and it's a definite....Oh. Hell. No. moment.......
Layers Peeled..... just so loved this installment. The surprises just kept on coming, some good, some tear jerking great, some not so good and some down right heartbreaking. But I just couldn't put it down, between the non stop action and the awe inspiring erotica, my pulse was all over the place. The whole Cross family is in this one, from weddings to births to,...well, you just have to read this one. I strongly recommend starting from the beginning with Dazzled by Silver, so you get to know this large, truly amazing family. They are a bunch of well developed characters that I'm sure will captivate you too. I can't say too much more without giving away all the good stuff. So Go To It!

DNF these layers of crap!

I don't even know where to begin. I really tried getting into this box set, I'd had the individual books on my tbr for a while. I struggled, I made it to 52% and just couldn't do it anymore. SO disappointed!
So what's wrong with this set? Stop reading now if you don't want even the slightest of spoilers...
Dazzled by Silver: This story is hot. But the insta-love was too much.
Layers Deep: this book started out interesting. Allie's quest for vengeance was interesting. Tristan's mission made sense but not why he needed Allie involved. Then talk about a relationship that went from 0 to 100 real quick.
Layers Peeled: this is where I gave up. It was all fine & dandy that Tristan wanted to save his ex-gf & friend from her kidnappers but his constant mention of her & helping her realize her dreams & being with her every day during her recovery, etc. is just too much! What woman wants to be exposed to that when they are in love with the guy & is carrying his baby?! Let me not forget that Allie suddenly became TSTL! Why would she, a trained ex-cop who should know better, that's recovering from a gunshot wound AND is pregnant follow and engage THREE MEN into an alley brawl! I was done for sure after that!

DNF - forced myself to the 15% point in the first book and just couldn't continue. I'd recommend anyone considering these books READ THE 1-STAR REVIEWS in Amazon. I don't generally do spoilers, but am making an exception:
-The main character is female, but that isn't readily apparent.
-Her first love/high school sweetheart died a week after being diagnosed with Leukemia.
-Her 2nd love was only interested in his own needs.
-Her mother either has cancer or Alzheimer's -- I could swear it was one and then the
other, but didn't care enough to go back to check.
-Her father died in a ... shark attack!
-She has a one-night stand with her BFF (female) and then has one with the hot bartender...
It goes from just bad to ridiculously bad. If there is a believable story in any of these books, it may not be worth slugging through the dribble to get to it!

I read these as individual stories and not as the box set, you can find my reviews for each addition. Each story has it's own story line but they are all tied together. And Lacey Silks knows how to weave a web to keep you on the edge of your seat. You will not want to put this series down until the end. I haven't read the Dazzled by Silver yet but hope to soon. I have started the Crossed series which is a spinoff of this one and it is great too. So if you like a little suspense and romance in your stories then this box set is for you. And don't miss others from Lacey Silks either, you will not be disappointed.

Could not put these down
These are wonderful. If you're looking for great characters, extra-hot men, sexy romance and fast-paced action, these are for you.
The only tiny thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is Allie's character. For a cop she seems to make some really dump mistakes, like following a know murderer into the subway and opening a door without seeing who was there. Really? But all things considered, I'm so glad to have read this entire series.
I'd love to see more. Especially Laura and James...hmmm?

Steamy erotica mixed with suspense is a great pairing. You definitely need to read the stories in order (including the prequel) for the entire series to make sense. I really enjoyed the characters & am now looking forward to reading the connected series.

I didn't read this as a trilogy but I highly recommend this series! Great characters and great stories! Sad that the family didn't have more hot brothers! I love the spin off series also!!!

The writing was of such poor quality, I couldn't finish the initial novella. Besides numerous typos, which I can typically overlook, the characters were 1-dimensional and did things that didn't make sense.
