Free to Kill Again

Rate this book
Free to Kill Again tells the stories of 30 convicted murderers who were released only to turn around and kill again. Many were serving life sentences and were released early. Some were serving life sentences without parole eligibility and still got out while some were even on Death Row before they were released. The first 19 stories are American cases with the next 10 taking place in the UK and the final one in Canada.

Another interesting compilation by Les MacDonald, this time covering 30 instances of prisoners serving "life sentences" who were released for reasons I do not understand.

Murderers are not rehabilitated or "cured." They only bide their time in prison until they have an opportunity to kill again. Pardon and Parole Boards, in my opinion, have the blood of these later victims on their hands. They have a lot to answer for.

Even murderers who received the death penalty were freed to kill again. I am in favor of the death penalty where there is clear and convincing proof of guilt and not a conviction based on circumstantial evidence. However, murderers who are sentenced to death regularly have those sentences commuted to life.

Don't tell me about overcrowding. Put those convicts to work building more prisons.

The subjects of this book were released into our midst resulting in the deaths of men, women and children who had a right to expect safety.

This is an interesting look at the reality of a sentence of life or death. There were several typos; I suppose the author does not use a proofreader.

WOW ALL CAPITAL!!

First let me start off with saying Mr. MacDonald is very talented and one of my favorite authors to read! You can always count on good research and a hell of a book. This one was no different. In fact, I must say to me this one he kinda of took a risk with. It was outside what most of his other books were about. That being said he put just as much work in this if not more.
But I must admit, some of these cases are beyond sickening! It’s bad enough when you kill someone but when justice is not served or they are let out and commit the same behaviors again then you figure it would be a wake up call. But it didn’t or wasn’t, in fact, it seemed to happen over and over! It’s horrible and the victims and families my heart goes out to them. I know I would be beyond pissed…. That being said let’s hope and pray it would not happen today. But just goes to show what really is JUSTICE? I mean once someone’s life is taken you can’t bring them back so is there really a thing called justice? After reading this book it makes me think not. In fact, it seems you just have more victims over and over!!
But this book is a great read and def thought provoking! I’ll be thinking on this for a long time….. that being said I can’t wait for ANOTHER BOOK!!! HINT! HINT! LOL…
