I CANT GIVE IT ENOUGH STARS. Infinity ♾️ ⭐️
First off this was an ARC read & OMFG DID I KNOW ID LOVE IT LIKE THIS?! Yes but thats not the point.
My point is this

Their love story was so damn beautiful from chapter 1 my heart was lassoed by John&Wyatt. Arielle writes and puts all her love and passion into her characters & you can feel that as you read. The emotional depth for both of these broken boys is just everything. I cried, I laughed, I swooned more times than I can count, my cheeks hurt from the laughs & smiles! My chest ached for them both & swelled with pride for them as well as they both came to realize their feelings about themselves & each other.

I dont want to just ramble cause boy could I. I could on & on about how John is in charge of so much and carries so much weight on his shoulders while never giving himself what he needs, he gives & gives but no one gives back… in comes Wyatt 😭 sweet lovable cowboy with the BIGGEST HEART. Ready to give and give unconditionally to John..

But sweet Wyatt also has his own issues he is hiding.. he needs to be loved for who he is & have someone just give a damn about him… he wants someone to need him but he also needs someone… John 😩🫶🏼

Soul mates. Seriously arielle again, crack. Thats what she puts into her books. Stories with so much love, tension, fought feelings & gorgeous fck it moments that will have your heart aching, swooning and just rapidly beating.

ARC Review:

This was my first introduction to cowboys in MM romance and I was not disappointed!

This is an age-gap workplace romance between two doctors. A seasoned attending workaholic doctor and a young resident doctor with cowboy roots.

Wyatt has a type. Older men with the values, traits, and command of a Daddy. Add a praise kink in there and it makes total sense why he can't rub the hearts out of his eyes when he looks at Dr. John Donnelly.

John has been running, running from his emotions, running from his pain, running from truths he's not ready to look at. He buries himself in his work as an ED doctor, giving too much of himself all the time. Until a confident young doctor in cowboy boots turns his world upside down.

It's wrong, he's Wyatt's superior but what's one night of giving in when the loneliness becomes too much? What happens when one nights not enough? What happens when feelings are caught despite the rules?

ARC REVIEW

This book is a smutty masterpiece.

Dr. John Donnelly and his resident Wyatt Lawson are guaranteed to make you blush.

The Daddy trope has never really done much for me, but somehow I was giggling and kicking my feet right alongside John every time Wyatt called him Daddy.

The first 15% of this book is basically one long tease, building up all that tension before the hotel and bar scene, and it was worth every second.

I absolutely fell in love with both MMCs. One of my favorite things was that the more dominant one in the workplace turned out to be the more submissive one in the bedroom. Wyatt completely rocked John’s world on more than one occasion, and I was living for it.

The bull-riding scene had me cackling. Wyatt truly can and will put on a show whenever the opportunity presents itself.

To quote the book: “We love a bearded daddy with his cute cowboy.”

But as much as this book is hot as hell, it also has a lot of heart. Both John and Wyatt are carrying trauma from their pasts, and those quieter, more vulnerable moments between them made me love them even more.

John is so scared of losing the people he loves that he keeps everyone at arm’s length, convinced it’s the only way to protect himself. Meanwhile, Wyatt sees right through all of John’s defenses and refuses to let him hide behind them forever.

Watching these two slowly learn to trust each other, open up, and let themselves be loved was just as satisfying as all the chemistry and tension between them. Their relationship develops so naturally, and seeing them go from guarding their hearts to truly choosing each other was beautiful.

My honest opinions:

Words cannot describe how much I loved this book! From the storyline to the romance, to the drama and the spice… everything was done so exceptionally well!

Both MMC’s in this book are uniquely attractive in their own ways. If they were in real life, I’d want one of each!! 🤭 John, the older doctor with a heart of gold, is experiencing ongoing mental and physical health challenges. He’s a perfect bearded daddy, strong and caring, dominant and generous, trying to survive burnout and finding himself again, while experiencing a gay awakening. Wyatt is the young doctor-in-training who was raised on a ranch and has left that life behind. He brings that cowboy swagger, has more experience with gay relationships, a severe praise k!nk, and thinks the world of his attending doctor. When they start seeing each other in another light… sparks start flying and you can literally feel the passion from their spicy scenes flying off the page! Arielle did not hold back and gave us some really HOT & HEAVY sexy times, and a lot of it!! That shower scene will live rent free in my head… forever! I also really enjoyed the way the author played with power dynamics in this book, shifting them from a typical “daddy” format, into something that I felt was really unique! 5🌶️

With the amount of spice in this book, you would think the plot would suffer but that is NOT the case in this story! It is filled with so much emotion, tension, background, drama, and building a group of characters that I am so excited to read more about. I can’t wait for the next books in the series!! Also, as a healthcare worker, I am THRILLED to have stories explore our real life struggles, discuss topics like burnout, and how it affects our everyday lives. Bravo!

This book was so surprisingly emotional, in all the best ways, and it was such a treat to read. I even shed some tears! 🥺 It was a perfect escape and just what I needed it to be. I will be recommending it for anyone who likes MM romances for a long time. I’m so honored to be an advanced reader. Overall I give this book an enthusiastic 5⭐️!

4.5 stars. I'm very grateful to the author for this ARC of her book. This was great! She mentioned The Pitt in her author's Note, which this gave in some ways, but I appreciate that it stood on its own two feet. She also mentioned that she has been a mental health professional and I guess I definitely can see that in her writing style now looking back. The characters are very well-written here and lots of different interesting dynamics were explored. I appreciated a window into both John and Wyatt's traumatic backgrounds and how they shaped them individually. The age-gap as well as John being Wyatt's senior attending added a layer of forbidden that normally would have just been like "who cares? do what you guys want?" The dialogue was also very good. Only wish there had been just a bit more insight into Wyatt's family background particularly with his father and the relationship between John and his brother. Also, even from the very brief snippet, I cannot WAIT to read the next book which is about Dr. Samuels - He and Frankie are charming as hell. Thank you again to the author for this ARC!

This was a book I was not able to put down. No matter how hard I tried to read it slowly I just couldn't. Just like the will power that Wyatt and John had to stay away from each other. Nonexistent. This book was steaming hot. At times I was left gasping for air and wondering how I would survive this book.🥵 I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK! You will not be disappointed.

There were times through out the book where I felt like crying because I could relate to John. You give your all and then lose it. Over and over again. So you shut down and build a wall to protect your heart and sanity. In the end you find yourself alone, sad, and unhappy.


That is something I love about the author's writing style. She writes about real life events that her readers can relate to and in the process of reading we can heal along with the characters.

P.s: I need to find me a Wyat! Teehee.🤠

Honestly this one was just fine. At times I was low key bored and I just didn’t feel strong feelings for either one of the MMC’s. Yes the smut scenes were hot and I did enjoy the emotional aspect but I kinda felt like it could have been executed a little differently. Overall? Not the best but not the worst. I had some slight annoyances with certain words and phrases that were used over and over again but I did read the whole thing soooo….

John and Wyatt are the kind of love story that reminds you why you read romance in the first place.

We follow two doctors working in the ED, one an attending physician, the other in his fourth year of residency. The hospital setting creates a constant backdrop of high-stakes trauma, long shifts, and emotionally charged moments that add so much depth to their story.

John is our older "daddy" hero, twenty years older than Wyatt, but honestly, the age gap never felt overwhelming while reading. Wyatt is incredibly emotionally intelligent, patient, and grounded, making their connection feel natural from the very beginning. John carries a lifetime of trauma, family struggles, and the weight of watching a loved one decline. Work has become both his purpose and his escape, even as it continues to pile more emotional burdens onto his shoulders. He is constantly drowning, but continues to put himself last.

Then there's Wyatt, our cowboy with the biggest heart. He loves John with the same care and gentleness he'd give a bruised horse, never trying to force him into healing before he's ready. This is a friends-with-benefits-to-lovers romance, and the journey to "lovers" takes time. John spends much of the story battling fears of abandonment, questions of self-worth, and a late-in-life sexual awakening, while Wyatt patiently helps him navigate all of it.

One of my favorite aspects of this book was Wyatt's kindness. So often in romance, patience is talked about, but here we truly get to see it. He becomes the perfect balance to John's fears and emotional walls, and watching their relationship develop felt incredibly rewarding. This is all while Wyatt has his own internal struggles and previous trauma related to his father, as well as someone he loved.

The secondary characters were fantastic as well. Several characters left me hoping they'll get books of their own because I'd love to learn more about their stories and hopefully see them find their own happy endings. The sense of community among the hospital staff added so much heart to the novel. The high-pressure medical environment honestly reminded me a little of *The Pitt*, though the overall story is very different. This was definitely a reminder to thank our healthcare workers. It is really a thankless job sometimes.

The emotional climax caught me completely off guard. Instead of a usual third-act breakup, the story takes a different route, delivering a powerful and emotional turning point that was scary, and the response was understandable. Without giving anything away, it definitely hit me harder than I expected. I was an emotional wreck in this book, either crying for John or crying for Wyatt.

There is a strong mental health component throughout the book, including therapy, discussions of trauma, and mentions of suicide, so please check content warnings if those topics are difficult for you.

And the spice? Chef's kiss. It wasn't there just for the sake of being spicy; it genuinely helped build the intimacy, trust, and connection between John and Wyatt. Every scene felt purposeful and strengthened their relationship.

As the story progressed, I found myself feeling more and more for John as he continued fighting the inevitable. Watching him learn to accept love, support, and happiness was beautiful. I loved this book and did not want it to end!

A fantastic read, and I absolutely cannot wait for more.

This is only my second book from Arielle and I cannot thank TikTok enough for putting her on my fyp. I love her and I will be recommending this read as well for anyone who likes MM romances.

This was such a sweet romance with a forbidden doctor/resident relationship. The age-gap added a layer of forbidden too!

Wyatt has had a crush on his attending Dr. Donnelly (John). The two finally give in to the attraction that's been building between them after a chance meeting at a bar. Though, they couldn’t stay away from each other even after saying one time!!

John, is experiencing ongoing mental and physical health challenges. He’s just trying to survive burnout and come to terms with having a gay awakening.

I really enjoyed the tension between these two men. And the SPICE was so very SPICY! The Daddy kink and the praise happy John were outstanding. Such a perfect hearted daddy he was. This book did not hold back and gave us a lot of HOT & STEAMY scenes!!

Even though there is so much spice, the plot is not missing anything. It’s a great story too. There is a lot emotion, drama, tension, personal struggles, and overcome it all to a HEA. I WOULD DEF RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. 5/5.

Wow! I was NOT expecting to feel all the emotions I felt in this book. These two had such a magnetic pull to one another. Wyatt with his youth, cowboy hat and just all around beauty is enamored by Dr John Donnelly.. his boss. Wyatt loves the praise John gives him for doing such a good job in the ER. While it’s not the best idea to get involved with your attending physician, neither John or Wyatt can resist the pull. Yep, a little bit of workplace romance…oh, and some Daddy Kink thrown in 🫠 John is 20 years older than Wyatt and didn’t know he’d love being called Daddy so much until Wyatt. I didn’t know I’d enjoy it for John either until I read it 🤭 The pinning between these two. The SPICY scenes between these two…yep, they had me feeling all sorts of things. And then the emotions. I was not ready for the trauma these two have faced. Love, love, LOVED this book!

I loved this book! It had all elements I enjoy but still something was missing.

The relationship between John and Wyatt felt really special. I liked that Wyatt was so upfront and aggressive at the beginning because no way John would’ve agreed. Sometimes it felt a little much but it was totally needed. John knew from the start he was down bad the same as Wyatt so I hated those times in between when they couldn’t admit it.

I feel like the big tension in the third part didn’t really grab me. Like the issue was resolved within the same chapter and never mentioned again really. While I’m so happy for the outcome the tension could’ve been more present.

I feel they both brought out the best and emotional parts of themselves they couldn’t with anyone else. I really enjoyed this book and the spice was amazing 🥵

This book was such a smooth read, and I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The spice was definitely there, but what really stood out to me was how well it was written. Sometimes with super spicy romances, the plot can take a backseat, but that wasn't the case here.

I loved the way Arielle handled the characters and their struggles. Their emotions felt real, and I found myself really invested in what happened to them. Obviously I can't get into specifics without spoiling anything, but I was a huge fan of how everything came together in the end.

If you're a fan of contemporary MM romance, age gaps and workplace romance, I definitely recommend picking this one up.

Loved it!!, it was fast paced, the tension tho it was amazing, I really enjoyed their dynamic Lawson taking the lead was freakin H.O.T. , they basically switch roles in the bedroom and I LOOOOVED IT!! the spice was really good, the writing 10/10, the hurt/comfort did hurt a little haha but it was worth it

The plot was great it felt like Greys anatomy+cowboys+MM so even more perfect !!, I’m soo invested in the series can’t wait for the next book !

Lord have mercy. Arielle really said imma take a doctor romance, add a splash of cowboy and had a sprinkle of hurt/comfort and decided to make it a book??? I devoured it.

There was complex feeling and so many moments where both guys need to be smacked with baking sheets.But it’s a hard earned HEA I feel like for these guys.

Arielle made me cry and swoon and love two fictional characters. I still think about the thanksgiving scene.

John and Wyatt deserve the love of they fought for. Because this story put me on a rollercoaster of love and feelings.

Give Me What You Can't follows John and Wyatt. John is a burned out ER doctor (think Dr. Robby in the Pitt) and Wyatt is a dude ranch cowboy turned resident. They meet at work and can't help the connection between them despite all the obstacles to their relationship.
The author is a good writer and I like the premise here. I did feel at times it was repetitive. A lot of sex and a lot of talking about how they feel about each other. But overall I liked both characters and this was a quick, good read.

This was a really fun read!!

There was so much I loved about it!
I’m a sucker for an age gap, forbidden romance and with the younger mmc being the pursuer. This book had all that and more.

This may be shallow as hell, but the thing that stuck out to me the most was as the spice was so well written and filthy as fuck 🔥🥵 plus they were verse!

I’m not eloquent enough to really do this book justice in this review, but if you want a super steamy good time with mild angst, I highly recommend!!!!

This was a really great read and as a reader who enjoys a nicely written age gap romance this did not disappoint 👏
I loved that Wyatt didnt hesitate to go after what he wanted and even though John fought his feelings he couldn't deny their connection.
I loved the tension between them and don't even get me started on all the "cowboy's" and "daddy's" because wow that was smokin 🔥

What can I say about this book… Besides it being one of the most ridiculously SEXY books I have ever read!! Gaaaaah! it was also so beautiful. This couple touched my heart. Their connection, their support for one another, their growth, their journey.. it was all perfect. And I hope Arielle never stops writing because she truly has a gift.

More like a 2.5. It kinda dissapointed me a bit (i had kind of high expectations for this one). The writing was sometimes a bit strange, i don‘t really know how to describe it, but some passages feel a bit over the top romantic ( not the best Word to describe it i guess) and those passages usually do not really fit in with the rest of the book. It just does not feel very natural, even for the older MC. The Story is fine, not particulary great, but Not very bad either. Though I have to say, that the book is just a bit too long with certain
However, i could not really care about either of the MCs. John was fine, he seems to have been given more of the emotional scenes( Breaking down in front of Wyatt, visiting his brother‘s grave with his sister etc.). I just wished we could have seen him heal a bit better, like for example seeing him actually in Therapy again by the end (we are only told he goes again). That would have Even been a good full-circle moment, since we saw a Full session at the beginning, in which John antively does not cooperate.
I did not particulary liked Wyatt, he semmed to be very pushy in the beginning, especially the first night they spend together. There was unfortunateley not much else to him, so i could not really grow to like him. The whole situation with his father and home was a bit rushed.
The “conflict“ that they faced (their relationship being inappropriate because of work) was solved rather quickly. What bugs me about that is that the solution to the issue was something that they even thought of before. So i am left thinking, why was this a problem in the first place?

But I do like the couple-y scenes of them (the dinner, them visiting the art Gallery together and the spice scenes onbviously).

This was such a sweet MM romance with a forbidden doctor/resident relationship that kept me hooked the whole time.

Wyatt has had a longtime crush on his attending, Dr. Donnelly, and after a chance meeting at a bar, the two finally give in to the attraction that’s been building between them. They promise it’ll only be one night, but their chemistry is impossible to ignore, and it quickly turns into something much deeper.

I really enjoyed the tension between these two, and the spice was very good. This book definitely leans spice-heavy, so if that’s your thing, you’ll probably have a great time with it. Some of the scenes were seriously memorable—Wyatt riding the mechanical bull absolutely took me out. 🫠

I did find myself wanting a little more emotional connection earlier in the story since they tended to turn to physical intimacy whenever things got vulnerable. But once they finally started opening up to each other, it felt really rewarding and heartfelt. I appreciated that both Wyatt and Dr. Donnelly had their own family baggage to work through, and being together pushed them to finally confront those issues. Wyatt getting closure with his dad was especially satisfying to read.

I also liked how the tension surrounding their forbidden relationship was resolved by the end, and it really felt like these two were meant to find each other.

If you love forbidden romances, workplace tension, lots of delicious spice, and two characters who can’t stay away from each other, this is definitely worth picking up!
