I loved this book. I must have been in my freshman year of junior high, senior year of elementary school when I read this. This was way to grown for me to read, but I did anyway and I enjoyed. I never forgot this book and always regretted loosing it.

Two New Yorkers (brothers) arrive in California and interact with an assorted group of neighbors and animals. There is no way to summarize the plot because it was so long ago but I do remember laughing uncontrollably and enjoying the book very much. Their adventures are far beyond sordid, think of it similar to Fear and Loathing.

Now I have to purchase this book and add it to my bookshelf.
