The Bronx, New York, 1888. The snowstorm of the century has buried Milton Daub’s town under ice and snow. His family needs milk, and his neighbor needs medicine. With help from his father, Milton crafts a pair of makeshift snowshoes. He bundles up and sets out into the blizzard. Will Milton’s homemade snowshoes bring him safely home again?

This graphic novel was based on the blizzard of 1888. It could have been more interesting. ~ Lizzie :)

• I liked the book talk about the community and how one person can make a difference. I didn’t like that author had problems occur but there was really no solution that happened. The book had his snowshoes and his rope for his wagon break both at different times but never explained what the character Milton do to fix them.
