There is some speculation that the author does not actually exist but is a psuedonym for another author or authors. One author mentioned as writing under the name of Jenny Dale is Liss Norton, who incidentally is also said to be one of the ghostwriters for the Lucy Daniels Animal Ark series.

September 21, 2017This book is about a young pup who is considered lazy by his family, who soon proves them wrong, even though he hits obstacles throughout.
This book reinforces the message that if you are determined to achieve something, no matter how many obstacles you may come across along the way, if you stick with it you will eventually achieve your goal!
This is an inspiring message crucial to young children, and therefore this book would be a good read for the whole class. It is not a long novel, however you go on quite a ride with Lenny!
Lesson plans for this book could be for English (writing a letter asking if they know where Lenny has disappeared to), art by drawing the location of the park including characters such as the park keeper and assistant, labelling alongside this.
Overall, this book is a great introduction for getting children to understand that determination is key and although it may seem like hard work at the time, the reward when you do achieve it makes it completely worth while!
