Book looks good with a lot of info, was a DNF for me as i got bored of the game!

It’s hard to fault a game guide for being out-of-date in this day and age. Game studios can tune and nerf content well after release, and builds that were overpowered at release can be useless a few months later. Such is the case with Pillars of Eternity. While the book was very in-depth, much of its advice was not aligned to the current game environment. I also fault it, though, for not addressing the challenges the designers added to the game via achievements. Even in the context of the original release, there is no advice or guidance for soloing the game or for achieving a minimum of kills. There was also very little on building your party members, or how to make build choices for your PC after character creation. There were also a few moments where things in the book did not appear in the game, though this could reflect updates.
In the end, a valiant effort, but I ultimately spent more time online than in the book.

Das Buch ist eine sehr schöne Hilfe für ein wirklich sehr gutes Spiel. Es werden alle wesentlichen Inhalte des Spiels erklärt, auch viele Hintergründe sind ausreichend darstellen. Die Qualität des Buchs ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Leider mangelt es dem Buch manchmal an Übersicht und Detailtiefe. Ich finde das Layout bei den Questdarstellungen nicht immer hilfreich, weil viel Platz verschwendet wird.

Insgesamt ist das Buch sehr schön und dem geneigten Spieler nur zu empfehlen.
