Yield (verb): to surrender or submit (oneself) to another

Macy Carrington is broken. The strong, beautiful woman that I’ve unwittingly fallen in love with is all kinds of broken from a secret that she has carried for far too long.

A secret so dark, she has gone to great lengths to protect it.

A secret that I’m terrified will one day rip her away from me.

The only time Macy frees herself from the darkness is when she is naked and in my arms. When I am deep inside her body, there is nothing she fears. When she wraps herself around me, she is at peace.

If she would only yield to me completely, I know I can set her free.

* Yield is the final book the Legal Affairs trilogy of Cal and Macy’s story. Clash and Grind, Books #1 and 2, can be found on this retailer’s site for purchase.

This is the last par in Cal and Macy's story. While book 1, Clash was all about the lust and book 2, Grind was about taking chances , Yield is definitely about trust.

As much as Macy tries to deny it, the attraction and feelings surrender her and Cal. As much as she wants to push him away, it's too late for Cal. He is involved, he wants more and he knows he can be strong enough for both of them.

"We were building something. You told me last nights we're friends. That I'm your second fucking favorite person in the world. We jus went out to breakfast and held fucking hands the entire time like two high school kids. There's an « us » and you fucking well know it. »

The book was so much more deep and emotional than the previous books. Macy is starting to open up. It was like I was there to hold her hands and help her with what she's been through

description

"Macy you have secrets. They are yours to do with what you want. If you trust them to me. I'll do everything in my power to make sure thery can't hurt you. But if you want to keep them close, it doesn't mean I repect you any less. »

I respected Cal so much because he has the patience of a saint. He is there all the time for Macy and no matter what, he will stay by her side. He respect Macy's decisions and he only wants to give her a nice and cosy place where she can relax.
His emotions were so powerful. It was sometimes hard to keep up with the overwhelming feelings he has. And at the same time, he is Macy's strength.

«  There was Cal. He pulled me up. Supported me. Protected me. Brought me to a safe place »

By the end of the story, you will maybe feel a little worn out but you will end up happy because if someone needs an HEA, it's certainly Macy

« Did you know that the heart beats 100,000 times per day ? Do you know what that means ? If my heart beats 100,000 times a day, that means 100,000 times a day, it's thinking about you. »

#1Yield_sawyer

In this final installment by Sawyer Bennett, the answers surrounding Macy's past and secret are finally revealed in Yield. And what a dramatic and emotional revelation it was. I loved this installment because Ms. Bennett was able to wrap up the Macy and Cal's story with such finesse. She was able to weave an erotic romance and still incorporate an emotional tugging story line of a woman learning to let love in and let go of her past. Yield was the perfect conclusion since Ms. Bennett kept the book true to Macy and Cal's personalities. If you are looking for a sexy erotic romance brimming with love and emotions, then I highly suggest you to read this series. Sawyer Bennett

Yield had me gripped from the first page I actually read this in a day and I am not the quickest of readers but I had to find what the big secret was (I was right) and I needed to know how Cal and Macy's story ended.

I felt so much for Macy everything she has gone through on her own until she met Mac and now having Cal in her corner fighting all her monsters, even though she could be annoying at times but to survive what she did makes her a strong courageous woman.

Cal nothing much to say about Cal except I LOVE HIM he was bossy, strong and determined he was getting his girl back once and for all. He got his best friend back as well which made me happy.

The epilogue made me cry.

FANTASTIC series I love Sawyer Bennett.

This is the last book of Macy and Cal's story...

Macy's horrid past slowly unraveled..

"Don't you ever say those things about yourself," I snarl as I stop the kiss and grasp her face in my hands. I keep her in place...our noses just inches from each other. I pin my eyes to hers, and I tell her, "I love you, Macy. No matter what has happened to you in the past or what happens to you in the future, I am never leaving your side, so quit trying to push me away. And I don't care if you love me back. I'm going to make you love me one day. I'm going to show you that what we have is beautiful and meant to be."

description

But, Macy..

"I'm sorry, but I'm not putting your life at risk because you chose to love someone like me."

P.S: I have to admit that I didn't feel the connection with these characters as much as I did to Mac & Matt. But it doesn't mean the story here is less than Mac & Matt's, what has happened to Macy was so horrible. And her parents are just so awful!! But I'm happy that Cal is man of his words. He's Macy's White Knight :)

P.s in P.S: Does anybody know who are the models on the cover? Please tell me! :)

Never a dull moment in the life of Macy & Cal. A great conclusion to a most addictive series.

Well we get everything in this finale..Macy’s past is revealed, and it’s extremely unsavoury, as has been previously implied.

Cal troops on, unearthing the sleaze and continuing to battle for Macy.

”This was my battle. I was Macy’s knight. I alone would slay her dragons.”

It’s not quite as flirtatious, but the all consuming story was enough to keep me riveted. Cal’s love was unwavering, and I think I might like him a little more than Matt.

”You’re my favourite person in the world.”

This is the 3rd book in the Cal and Macy story trilogy, and as such the previous 2 books should be read first. And. Whoa! What an end! I wasn't expecting the shock factor to be quite so high! But, yep, it was. My heart really went out to Macy and everything that she dealt with in regards to her dreadful family. Of course her 'big secret' took a while to come out fully in the storyline. I was kept in the dark, guessing, and thinking that maybe Macy was being a bit of a drama queen. I felt she owed Cal a little bit more of herself. Well hell. How wrong was I? I absolutely loved this final book in the Cal and Macy trilogy, a firm winner for me and quite the grand finale for the Legal Affairs series. Fantastic.

Ahhh!! Finally, we get answers to all of our questions and we find out all of Macy’s secrets!

This is the third and final installment in Cal and Macy’s story and this one was the most emotional. It ripped my heart out, slowly put it back together, only to rip it out again. There may have even been a few tears shed.

Cal continues to break Macy’s walls down, while building her up.

“I love you, Macy. No matter what has happened to you in the past or what happens to you in the future, I am never leaving your side, so quit trying to push me away. And I don’t care if you love me back. I’m going to make you love me one day. I’m going to show you that what we have is beautiful and meant to be.”

Cal is determined to do right by Macy, no matter what the cost and continues to be the white knight that she needs. He is such a kind, caring, sweet man!

We fought a lot of battles in this volume. But the one thing she learned is that Cal is different from every other man. She only wanted what is best for him.

“You’re my favorite person in the world,” she whispers as she pulls away from me. “And if the only way to keep you in this world is to let you go, that’s what I’m doing.”

So do Cal and Macy ever get their happily ever after? You will have to read this fantastic series and find out for yourself. You will not be disappointed, as this entire series is sexy, steamy, emotional, and full of hope! ~ Tiffany, 5 stars

~~~
On a scale of 1 to 10, this book was a “holy shit, my vagina just exploded.”
Yes, Saint Cal is back with Macy in the third installment, filled with drama, heat, love and perseverance. He is determined to be a knight in shining armor for Macy, even if he has to lead the charge with his penis. Nothing will get in his way of trying to make her life a dream.
We have gotten to watch Macy grow though out the series, but in this book, she is like a spring rain washing away her troubles. She faces some huge hurdles and has huge decisions to make, including if she can keep Cal a part of her life.
I am sad that this series is done, but if I know Sawyer at all, I know the next one will be just as HOT! ~ Devlynn, 5 stars
~~~

I really don't know where to start with this one. Because I just finished Yield -- meaning I'm done with Macy and Cal's story -- and I'm feeling a mix of happy, really fucking happy, and sad. I think I could read about Racy Macy and Saint Cal forever.

Yield picks up where Grind left off, with Macy facing an uncertain future, her secrets still hidden but threatening to burst forth, and Cal trying his damnedest to protect her. And it goes balls-to-the-wall from there.

What a spectacular ending. Sawyer Bennett nailed it, as assuredly as Cal nailed Macy...or Macy nailed Cal. It was as dirty and kinky as ever, and HELLS yes, that was awesome, but this one got to me in another way. It sucker-punched me right in the feels.

Did I suspect? Yes. Does that matter? No freaking way. Yield was a delight and a pain to read. Delightful because it was well-written, perfectly paced and flowed fantastically. Painful because well... *SPOILER*

It wasn't always easy to read, and I frowned a hell of a lot, because of those pesky feels. I ached. I cringed. I cursed. But I also smiled. Maybe even laughed once or twice. I read cover-to-cover with no breaks; yeah, I'd totally do that again. I finished Yield -- and this entire series -- feeling pretty damn good. A sexy story and an epic epilogue will do that to you! ~ Beth, 5 stars

5 “cal-tastic” Stars

What a truly memorable series Legal Affairs has been. We have laughed, loved and had our heart strings pulled, but most of all we have experienced an amazing story of lust, passion and, thanks to Cal, his own brand of kinkiness!!!

I thought Matt ticked all of my boxes but that was until Cal came along to tame the elusive man-eater, Macy. We’ve all been wondering what exactly went on in Macy’s past to make her believe that she can’t love, or be loved, but by the end of Yield we have the answers to the many questions posed. Macy’s is a tragic story of betrayal, shockingly at the hands of her parents, and as you begin to appreciate why she behaves the way she does, you can’t help but feel sorry for her; past, present and her future. Cal is Macy’s knight in shining Armani though as he fights for her love but, as he finds out, to earn her love he must help her to face her demons once and for all.

This story is brilliantly written and sensitive subjects are covered perfectly. It adds its own brand of sass as Cal and Macy enjoy each other’s company as they try to find a way to live life together, mainly outside of their sexual exploitations which will leave you wide eyed with wonderment!

I keep thinking that Sawyer Bennett’s writing cannot get any better but she really does offer something for all readers in the many series she has produced to date. She seamlessly balances contemporary romance alongside erotic romance as she takes traditional romance stories and makes them uber sexy in a style like no other.

I’m rather stingy with my top ratings. The book has to be memorable and the story has to be unique in some way. With the proliferation and popularity of erotica, there are a lot of books out there – unfortunately, many of the narratives are familiar. Therefore, it is interesting to me, that the reason I love Yield is because it is an old-fashioned love story underneath the erotica.

Because this is a short serial, each book brings us one step closer to understanding Macy’s ambivalence. I love how this story unravels. Sawyer Bennett keeps us on the edge of our seats, and at the same time, makes us fall further in love with Cal. I love Cal. He is a seriously good guy. His selflessness is so attractive. It’s one of the best qualities in a book boyfriend. He’s also very tenacious. He refuses to allow Macy to push him away and instead, makes himself indispensable in her life. I wonder if Cal was a Boy Scout as a kid.

As a grown man, Cal has a healthy libido. Cal and Macy both do. This is a balanced couple in the bedroom. Macy is sexually uninhibited:

“I love that she is makes her move when she wants and isn’t afraid to voice her needs. . . . I’m in an almost constant state of arousal around her, yet she assuages my needs in overabundance, keeping me well satisfied and happy.”

But despite Macy’s confidence in many other areas of her life, she also carries a certain level of sadness and insecurity that holds her back from fully giving herself to Cal. Her past has damaged her to the point where she is currently surviving, not living. But it is Cal that gives her hope, gives her a lifeline, gives her the courage to take a chance:

“…[Y]our life isn’t about just merely enduring anymore. It’s changed. You’ve changed. You’ve left survival far behind, and our life now is about thriving.” Despite some Macy’s dark past, this story is about stepping out to take a chance.

IN A NUTSHELL:
With genuine emotion and seamless writing, Sawyer Bennett brings a old fashioned love story with a modern edge of erotica.

This is the final book in Cal and Macy's story and as usual, Sawyer did not disappoint.

The story picks up where we left of in book 2. Seeing Cal and Macy grow in this story made me so happy. Cal was always there for her and Macy got stronger. One of the highlights I loved was Cal and Matt reconnecting. It was long overdue :)

In a way, Cal and Macy saved each other. After all that she went through she didn't think she could have those types of feelings. With Cal, it was different, he made her feel again and broke down those walls she had up. One of my favorite scenes would be when she left him her diary and the message there had me in tears. What an amazing read and I am sad to see the series end.

I love all things Sawyer Bennett and I am anxiously waiting for what she has in store for us next. If you are a fan of her books, enjoy this ride. You'll love it!!

4 steaming & captivating stars

another great little side spin in her litigation series. I was a little apprehensive about Cal's character from his introduction in her first series. But I lost that within a few pages in this new 3 part series. I loved Cal & Macy.

Sawyer Bennett has a real gift, with drawing you in to simply connect, love and enjoy her main characters. She reels you in with making them sexy as hell, hidden secrets that flaw their characters, divulging glimpses of these secrets through out the storyline leaving you totally captivated and unwilling to put the books down until the very last page. Mind at this stage you'll be heading for a cold shower every so often as she has an uncanny ability to write good sexual scenes which are phenomenally hot!

A great series by a favourite author.

What an epic book!

I couldn’t stop reading because I had to figure out how Cal & Macy’s story unfolded. And boy is it a doozy!

This one was a bit more emotional for me, as my heart ached for what Macy has gone through in her life. She’s overcome so many barriers and has chosen to not let those horrific things of her past define her anymore.

Through it all, Cal was her rock, her white knight, her new best friend. While Mac was still there for her, Cal became her confidant.

Then to top off this amazingly touching story, that epilogue was the perfect happily ever after that both Cal & Macy needed.

This was a great conclusion. This whole series, despite the shorter length of these parts, have been solid from start to finish. They feel like full, well developed novels and that has made them incredibly enjoyable.
This was a great way to wrap up their story. I felt like everything was handled really well and realistically.

If my heart beats 100,000 times a day, that means 100,000 times a day, it's thinking about you.

I finished the second and third book in one sitting. It was THAT highly addictive. The urge to know the Macy’s secret was eating me alive, and I wanted to know what it is that had made her that was. What was in her past that she couldn’t share with Cal?

Despite the initial guesses, Sawyer Bennett still managed to pull off some amazing twist to end this series. It was heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, and it was enough to wish somebody ill (grrr.) Nevertheless, I was just happy that Macy was finally able to share her secret to someone than her best friend. It was freeing, and you can feel the load in her lighten up, especially when Cal stayed, and never left her.

It was a dark, dark secret that might have sent someone running, but not Cal. He was strong enough for it: strong enough to catch her, strong enough to be with her, and strong enough to fight for her.

It might have taken some time before Macy trusted Cal with it, but Cal was patient. He waited, and Macy risking every single thing within her found it worth it. Cal was everything she deserved, no matter how much baggage she had on her back, he was helpful enough to carry it for her.

The sex was still mind-blowing, the chemistry was still off the charts. But this time, YIELD offers us everything we ever asked for: the secret, the emotion, and the happy ending that both of them deserved. It’s the best ending to the start of their happy-ever-after.

Haunting, heartbreaking, spellbinding.

Those are the three words that best describe the conclusion to this amazing series.

Cal and Macy's journey has been a roller coaster of sexual tension, lust and mystery, with a touch of kinkiness and a whole lot of heart.

On Yield we find out that appearances are not always what they seem to be, and Macy's family is rotten beyond belief, behind the rich, powerful, and charitable facade. We find out the secret that has been haunting Macy for years and years, the one that almost destroyed her, the one that made her find comfort in empty sexual escapades just to deal with all the internal pain that wouldn't go away. The cruelty of it all was beyond what I was expecting and it left me sad for the lost little girl trapped in the body of a woman.

But here, we also confirm what we've known all along, that Cal is not only sexy as sin, but he's also a powerful force to be reckoned with. He takes charge protecting and loving Macy, but most importantly, accepting her with all her faults and helping her face her demons so she can finally be free.

This is Macy's story of survival, of confronting and accepting her past, and realizing that she was worth it all along. This is also Cal's redemption, after a drunken mistake made him lose his best friend and see his life under a different light, he finds his redemption, but he also find forgiveness.

I love that Sawyer's books are incredibly sexy and provocative, that she pushes the envelope, I also appreciate that she has solid storylines to back up all the sensuality that her books exude.

If you haven't started this series yet, no time like the present, hands down one of the best series I've ever read. Five stars are not nearly enough.

Yield is the conclusion to Macy and Cal's story. Oh Cal. Just when you think you can't love him more he goes and does something like…that! He's the perfect Alpha male. Strong, sexy, smart, ethical with morals and fierce loyalty to those he loves. He's not rich, but he'll do whatever it takes to protect what's his. And, Macy is his. Period. We get to see the softer side of Cal in Yield. We meet his parents. What's sexier than a man who loves his family? Nothing! And, Macy fits right in with them so he knows she's someone special. In the midst of the storm that Macy is under, she and Cal find time to just be with each other. We get to finally know her secrets and her pain. She's a strong woman and she needs Cal by her side now more than ever. Will Macy trust in Cal enough to let him into her heart? Can Cal convince Macy not to run? I loved the conclusion to their story. I still love Matt and Mac, and Macy and Cal are the perfect dynamic to round out this foursome.

"Get pissed. Get fired up. Go get your girl. That's the Cal Carson I know and admire."
"Best fucking pep talk ever, Matt Connover.

"I'm so proud of you. I'm in awe of you."

"I think my heart had already recognized a connection with you…even if I would never have admitted it out loud. I think that's why it's always been so explosive with you from the start."

Honestly I had tears by the end of this story simply because the strength Macy had was beyond belief. And Cal (Her Knight) because he truly was you will laugh and be angry all at the same time reading this series. Watching the journey of these characters struggles and life changing events are remarkable. Mac and Matt are truly great friends only people we should all have in our lives. The truth finally comes out and you see Cal fighting hard for something he never thought would happen. He's so dominant but also tender in the way it makes Macy more acceptable to him. He wants to be her favorite person but he wants to earn that and boy does he. Macy tries very hard to find reasons the can't continue until she just walks away from it all. I'm not giving you more details but I really feel you will love this series each book gets more intense and you see before your own eyes they both open up. They have so much vulnerability in them but is it possible to yield everything away. Thank you for letting me review Sawyer Bennett your amazing love getting swept away in your stories can't wait for more. This was a great serial type story told in three parts.
I couldn't get through them all fast enough. I just loved the love/hate relationship Cal and Macy had at the start. they were both snarky toward each other, and couldn't see it was pent up sexual frustration, even though Matt and Mac had pointed it out enough.
Cal knows there is something behind Macy's sexual encounters, and her apparent lack of commitment in any type of relationship.He promises nothing can be that bad that he wouldn't love her through it.
When he eventually finds out her deepest secret, he is appalled, but not at all put off. It infact deepens his feelings for the woman he loves desperately, and he is prepared to do anything it takes to make things as right as he can for her.

I really enjoyed this sexy story, and think I'll have to back track now and read Legal Affairs Boxed Set: Volumes 1-6

I was very fortunate to have received an ARC of Yield and the first thing to say is Sawyer Bennett has done it again. What an incredible ending to Cal & Macy's Story.
This is the third and final part of this series and just WOW.
As the third part begins Macy sees her past come back in full force to knock her for a loop. Not to be side tracked Cal stands by Macy and let's her know he will be their for her no matter what.
Sawyer takes us on one incredible rollercoaster ride filled with a lot romance, angst and emotion but a ride you don't want to get off until the words The End appear.
If you are looking for a read that will have you saying where can I find myself a Cal (A Big Sigh) and Macy one one of the strongest female characters out their then thus is the series you will want to read.

Yield (Cal and Macy #3) http://amzn.to/1GHjyAj

Ms Bennett tells this story in the male POV and let me just say WOW, I loved Cal’s voice. There is a glimpse of Macy’s voice, and the author used a fabulous literacy tool to weave in just the right amount!
acy and Cal push each other; emotionally, intellectually and yes sexually. There is one scene, in Grind that was not just epically hot but the author pushes the reader to look at sex verse emotion, sex for the pleasure and how trust plays into sexual encounters.
Don't worry fret over the three books.. they tell an amazing story.. one that I estimate is about a 400 page complete story!

Intense doesn't feel like it's a strong enough word to describe the final installment, Yield. Sawyer Bennett's conclusion was both heartbreaking and sweet. I loved it.

To find freedom from her personal demons and to hold onto happiness, Macy needs to let her past out. We've known this all along but actually experiencing the truths of it all was powerful. Her courage and strength overwhelm you.

Coupled on this incredible journey with her is Cal... He's strong and consistent. Loyal and dedicated. True. Sexy as all hell. I absolutely loved him in the conclusion to the Legal Affairs series.

The entire series is entertaining and sexy - a top recommendation for sure. Definitely check it out!

Yield is a phenomenal conclusion to this series, that will absolutely take your breath away and steal your heart forever! Sawyer Bennett is the master at creating characters that are not only sexy, but thought provoking and mesmerizing. Cal and Macy are both so much more than they appear to be on the surface, and Sawyer Bennett slowly peals away every layer of these intense characters and leaves you completely enamoured. This was a great ending for this series...Cal and especially Macy deserved this ending. I do wish Macy would have still stepped forward with her story, because it could have helped so many others in her situation had she spoke up...but I can completely see why she didn't also.

I must say I really love Sawyer Bennett as an author she never fails to deliver well written and thought out books. This one was no different than the others in that aspect. I highly recommend if you want to read this you start with Matt and Mac's books first.
