The only thing better than a man in uniform is a man out of uniform. Sasha has never been more certain of anything in her life, and she’s never wanted anyone more than she wants Officer Henry Dryden. Tall, tough and battle-scarred, he’s the first man to capture not just her eye, but her heart. With curves and the confidence to use them, it’s not hard to attract his attention, or get him to break out those cuffs and keys. But for the first time, getting exactly what she wants feels dangerously like risking it all.
There’s no question about the one thing Henry wants most when it comes to Sasha: to protect her. After their coastal North Carolina community is sent a message via the brutal murder of the prison warden, no one is safe. Henry can’t afford to be distracted by things like the all-consuming desire Sasha inspires. There’ll be time for that later … if he can keep her from getting caught in the crossfire of a killer’s revenge scheme. Haunted by the ghosts of his past, he’ll do anything to avoid being the only one to walk out of a war zone alive again. The way forward is clear: stop the convict who’s hunting officers in Riley County, and keep Sasha safe … or die trying.
I write what I know and love: adult romance with blue-collar heroes and real-life flavor. Tattoos, handcuffs and men in uniform are a few of my favorite things, and it shows in my thirty+ published books.
I live in the South with my man in uniform, who I married for the entertainment value. Just kidding - it was the handcuffs, err, true love. ;)
So far, our happily ever after includes a couple kids, German Shepherd dogs and a mutual appreciation of timely 'that's what she said' jokes.
When I'm not writing, I love reading, good coffee, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and whatever outdoor adventures I can find.
I also love hearing from readers, so don't be shy! If you've enjoyed something I've written, hearing from you would make my day.
3.5 - "Your safety is my first priority, not my dick." Stars!
Officer out of Uniform is the second book in Ranae Rose’s Lock and Key series. I don’t think it is any secret how much I love this authors work, I pretty much gush over every book that Ranae releases. Fan-girling aside, I do have legitimate reasons for it, her books always offer down-to-earth, well written, developed and likeable characters.
”I’ve never been one for bullshit. I’d sooner hear what you really think than a lie.”
Her stories don’t take in the world, and feature a cast of characters that no one can relate too, don’t get me wrong I like that type of book too. But I love that Ranae gives me characters that are human, have strengths and weaknesses, they aren’t perfect or over-the-top in anyway, but they are real, relatable and I want to spend my time getting to know them by reading the stories that she gives them.
Ranae also is also very skilled in writing her men in a way that tugs at my emotions and heart strings. Whether they be emotionally or physically scarred, or just your ‘Average Joe’ going about their everyday business (although to be honest, their is still nothing ‘Average’ about any of them really!), there is just a little something about them that makes me fall in love, every time. Henry Dryden is no exception, I loved how dirty he was(another given with an RR book), but the vulnerable and slightly old-fashioned guy you get too see as the book progresses is what totally clinched it for me.
”I want to be around you whenever I can. Doesn’t matter what we’re doing. You don't have to take your clothes off to get my attention. All you have to do is look my way. Exist.”
Sasha is your typical ‘balls-to-the-wall’ type of girl, I loved that her vibrancy and confidence pulled Henry out of his shell, bit by bit, and how that together they seemed to bring out the best of each other as well. Being Head Chef at the Wisteria Plantation House Restaurant – Harvest @ Wisteria, you get to see more of the goings on in and around the house, as well as the elusive ‘lady in white’. And although Liam and Alicia from the first book are a part of this story, I liked that it didn’t detract too much from the developing relationship between Henry and Sasha.
”I want to spend the next hour inside you, and the whole night beside you.”
The prisoner escape from Riley County Prison is very much a part of this book, as it was with Officer Next Door, and because of that I would recommend that you read this series in order, although you are given plenty of back story, and flashbacks in this instalment, I think the development of the series as a whole works better if you read book one first.
Another winner, another BBF to add to the ever growing list! I can’t wait too see where Ranae takes us next with the Lock and Key series, when Grey and Kerry get their book.

After reading book 1 in the "Lock and Key" series, which I absolutely loved, I couldn't wait to get my hands on book 2. Now that I've finished it, in my opinion, book 2 wasn't as great as book 1. Like book 1, "Officer Out of Uniform," is a well-written novel with suspense and romance. The sex is sizzling hot as is our hero, Henry. As for the heroine, Sasha, I liked her even though she rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not exactly sure what it was about her that bothered me. Maybe it'll come to me later. I deducted one star because the author pulled the "instalove" and "marry me" bullshit after just two weeks. Hell, even before he's proposed she's telling her girlfriend about her dream wedding. Puhlease. Even though I didn't love the novel, I'm quite sure that many others will. As for book 3 - will I read it? Most likely I will as I really want to read Grey's story.

While in many ways I loved this story even more than the last it did have some spatial issues that irked me Heroine: She is fierce and sassy and knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to go get it. She's so passionate and she feels very deeply even if she doesn't always articulate it. In many ways she's fearless but she does have some deep scars from her past. She's basically a blonde me so i can't help but adore her. Hero: Man in uniform? Check (doubly so). Military? Check (formerly). Yummy painful past? Check. Willing to actually verbalize his feelings in a mature manner? Check. Ready to give his life for the heroine...and die without her? Check and Check. I mean really could I have asked for a better hero? Romance: Much like the last one the romance doesn't feel like a lot of time is being spent on it...almost as if most of it is happening off scene. But like the last one it doesn't detract at all because the couple is perfect together and you can tell they have genuine feelings for each other not those just born out of an adrenaline spiked situation. Sex scenes: Even hotter than the last book! Maybe it was because the couple was so open and free about their sexuality but man these scene just steamed up the windows. Mostly the same amount of kink-light bondage, oral, varied locations/positions, Plot: I have such a lady boner for military guys...and one for heroes with a traumatized past. So when you put the two together I'm a pile of warm female goo. Even without a stellar plot I probably could've been happy just reading henry. But this plot was also pretty amazing. It's got thrills and chills and sweet sweet loving. It's fairly well paced though there were a couple of times i was just waiting for something to happen. Overall though it sucked me in and made it hard to put down. Writing: Just as awesome as the last book. It flowed beautifully and was light reading despite the tone. However, the flashbacks jumbled it a little for me. It jarred me out of the present moment (sometimes to the detriment of the emotion) and I just would have preferred that the flashbacks be in different places. I think they could have had more emotional impact if that had been given their own spot rather than intruding on another part of the story. And in some ways the characters needed that. While i think the characters were all well written they would have had more depth if the flashbacks had been in different places. This is the sole reason i've subtracted a star Bottom line: Still so far so good. I'm cursing my bedtime and praying this author can keep the streak going because i'm gonna cry if someone so promising crashes and burns
This was a good book. Although the H was a little annoying. I like a tortured hero but Henry was an internal whiner. He suffered Ptsd from his time in the military and he beat himself up about surviving a bombing when two other comrades did not. He blamed himself for many things and continually had a "why me?" playing in his head. I think if the h knew what was going on in his head, she would have dumped him as soon as she had enough of him sexually. Henry outwardly portrayed a quiet, controlled and confident person. My thoughts are that this poor man would greatly benefit from counseling for his tortured soul.
In Officer Next Door (Lock and Key #1) we met three men (Liam, Henry and Grey) and 3 women (Alicia, Sasha and Kerry) destined to be theirs. Officer Next Door (Lock and Key #1) is Liam and Alicia’s story. Officer out of Uniform (Lock and Key #2) is Sasha and Henry’s tale. At first glance bright, flirty, outgoing Sasha seems to be quiet, dour, former Marine Henrys opposite. Despite that the attraction between the two is palpable. After the events that take place in the first book Sasha and Henry find themselves exploring their mutual attraction. But like a bad penny the past comes to haunt them in several different ways and they find that they aren’t so different after all. Corrections Officer Henry Dryden was my favorite character in the first book as he reminded me of my own dear husband. After reading this I like him even more. Henry and Sasha are super together. Officer out of Uniform has it all; action, intrigue, romance and really hot sex and yes there may be handcuffs involved.

Sasha that girl is a trooper, "believe me, your pathetic chicken breasts mean the world to me." She reached out and laid a hand on his arm. "You're definitely getting lucky." Henry he's a moody one, and well doesn't take to some things, "go back to bed and get some rest. I won't let myself be in there with you, no matter how much you argue." She opened her mouth to argue anyway. "Go. I want to be alone anyway." He's a very passionate boy, "aw, eff, yeah..." He reached down with one hand and gripped one of her a** cheeks, squeezing as he rocked hard into her. "Don't just scream. Say my name." He's very romantic and sometimes knows just what to say, "yeah I did," he said. "I knew the moment you charged a convicted murdered in your bikini that you'd do anything for me." Although I loved Henry Liam still has my heart and is my favorite I can't wait to see if Grey steals my heart.
just finished this amazing book!!! After reading the first one I couldn't wait for this book and I was not disappointed!!! Henry is the strong silent type in the first book so you know he has a story behind all that dark and broody!!! Sasha is a strong woman who knows what she wants and that's Henry!!! So when they get together it's a whole lot of hot!!!!! There is not only a strong attraction but a strong love that takes them a minute to realize but when they do whoa!!! They are both very protective of their hearts and each other so you kinda want to knock their heads together at first but once you learn why they are like that you get it and it's an aaaahhhhh moment!!! And let's not forget a cute protective puppy dog and some humor to keep you smiling!!! Love, Love, Love some Ranae Rose and can not wait for the next book!!!!!!
I had picked this book up before and dnf'ed it because I was bored and I wasn't feeling in the mood to read a similar setting but I decided to give it a second chance because I liked Sasha.
The plot continued on where it left off with the escaped convict Randy trying to get revenge on Henry and the other officers who locked him up.
The romance was okay, Sasha was insane for that moment when she ran in her bikini after coming back from the beach after Randy and Henry, knife 🔪 in hand, because she was afraid Randy would hurt Henry, it was hilarious of her. That being said, the romance was too fast paced for me, the plot dragged about Randy, like I don't want to know whats going on inside his head but it did give it like a vibe of a CIS small town episode or something which I didn't completely hate.

I'm a little on the fence on this one. It was a light read, despite the dark-ish plot (an escape convict is murdering the townspeople of Riley) and by light I mean that I wasn't really emotionally invested with the couple, it was cheesy at times and dare I say it a little boring. If it didn't have the suspense plot I doubt it would have kept my interest. It says a lot when I read a couple of books at the same time as reading Officer Out of Uniform because I usually sit down and devour a book from start to finish. This isn't necessarily bad, I didn't hate it at all, I just wasn't glued to it. I'm not sure I will read more in the series.
Dont know what to say. Just that I expected more from this.
I loved the first book. This one not so much. One of the main characters, Henry, was good at times, but mostly his attitude just pissed me off. He was always putting the bad guy first and Sasha second. For a second, I thought I wasn't even going to finish it. But I was just about to finish the book so I pushed through. Wanted to read the next book on this series but have to seriously think about it.
The story takes place in small county in North Carolina where Henry is a retired Marine, that was injured in an IED explosion, and is currently a prison guard at Riley Correctional Center in North Carolina. He had an amazing dog name Wolf; that he raised since he was a pup. Sasha is the head chef at Wisteria Plantation House Restaurant on the grounds of the Wisteria Plantation House; which is home to Brutus the Alligator and a variety of ghosts. However, it is a wonderful tourist attraction and host to many weddings.
The only information you need from the first book was a couple violent, twisted, and murdering brothers named Troy and Randy Levinson escaped from Riley. Troy went after Liam and Alisha and was killed, which left Randy who set his sights on Henry & Sasha.
Let me tell you that the heat between Henry and Sasha could have burned up my iPad, I’m surprised that it didn’t! The chemistry between them was apparent from the first day they met. The problem was both had baggage that left them each feeling they weren’t enough for the other. They both experienced death earlier in their lives and that experience changed them.
Henry was a manly man and very protective of those he cared about. So when he found the Warden killed and strung up like an animal he was worried that Randy Levinson was back. He suddenly felt the strong need to protect Sasha, especially after their night of passion together. Both of them fell deeply for each other that night, but was worried the other didn’t feel the same.
For much of the story they two of them spent dancing around their feelings, trying not to let the other know how deeply they had fallen and so quickly. However, their passion for one another couldn’t be denied. When they finally admitted it to one another Henry told Sasha as she was handcuffed behind her back, “I want you like this because I don’t you to be able to get your hands on me…No touching. Not doing anything for me, like you always are. I love all that, but I don’t need it. I don’t want you to do anything except let me show you how much I want you.”
Besides the passion between the Sasha and Henry, there was a murderer on the loose and he was going to kill Henry and Sasha. His first attempt was when Henry and Sasha was returning from the beach and as they arrived home they were shot at from the woods. Henry told Sasha to stay put and stay down and he went after Randy, well, Sasha got up ran into the house and let out Wolf. Then went after Randy herself. While running into the woods, her cover-up tripped her up so she ripped it off and continued running in her bright red bikini and her Shun ( an extremely sharp cooking knife). One little thing Sasha is well-endowed in the breast department, so she should only be running in an extremely supportive sports bra. Anyways, can you imagine what Randy and Henry thought as this woman with a knife in a bikini. Well it was enough to distract Randy and Sasha got a few good stabs in and Wolf got a good bite in the shoulder. All of this wasn’t enough to catch Randy, but it did some definite damage to Randy and Henry and Sasha finally admitted they loved each other.
As you can tell this book was full of passion and some scary twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down and found it was a great book. I loved Sasha and Henry, though I wanted to shake both of them sometime for being so stubborn about admitting their feelings to one another. And Randy was an awful character, I hated the parts of the books from his perspective, he was really evil.
This book was a great read, Ranae Rose is a talented writer that creates characters that you can fall in love with and that you can hate. I can’t recommend this book enough and hope you will read it when it comes out Sept. 19
I'm so thrilled to have a chance to review book 2, Officer Out of Uniform. Some of you may remember I reviewed Officer Next Door back in June (Wow where did summer go?) which can be found HERE. As soon as I finished that book I was longing to sink into Sasha and Henry's story because I knew it would be a real doozy and I was right.
The fact that the heat level not only in the love scenes was stellar but somehow Ms. Rose built even more tension with the return of Randy Levinson, our wonderfully evil and vile villian. His return to his stomping grounds so he could go out in a blaze of glory added tension and suspense. In fact I actually had to put this book down a couple of times because it was just too much which is exactly what you want when you are reading a gripping and intense mystery and suspense romance.
But let us not forget about our amazing couple, Henry is such a tortured soul that continues to carry so much of his history and baggage into his relationship with Sasha. And yet you can't help but adore the man because if he thinks it, he is unafraid to say it. This can get him in trouble with Sasha from time to time but makes for a good reflection of how many healthy relationships I have witnessed first hand actually play out. And Sasha is exactly how I see a few of my friends, charming, determined and unafraid to be completely in the moment. Her capacity with a knife and willingness to throw cation to the wind when it comes to Henry and Wolf just makes her a heroine that I can support and cheer for from my couch.
For those of you who have read Officer Next Door you will see familiar characters in Grey, Kerry, Liam, Alicia, Wolf, Henry's German Shepherd and the ghostly visage located at Wisteria Plantation House. These characters have become such an integral part of this story, I live in fear that something bad will happen to one of them. But I'm still curious about all of the ghostly apparitions that play such a key role in this series. I hope we shall get a little more of the back story especially for the ghostly visage or maybe Brutus will play an even more integral role in Grey and Kerry's story. A reader can dream.
Final Thoughts: I highly recommend you first read Officer Next door before you read Officer Out of Uniform but this is a perfect book to grab and snuggle into a blanket over the weekend. This story is well told and characters truly have a back story that I find believable and integral to their actions through out this story. You can't go wrong with this series. Go ahead one click it!
A copy of Officer Out of Uniform was provided to me by the author and nothing else was exchanged for my honest review.
After reading the first book, I knew Henry and Sasha's story was going to be awesome. From the first words out of Sasha's mouth I knew she was going to be my best friend. She is outgoing, funny, and goes after what she wants...literally. plus she cooks. I also love the strong, silent and brooding type of alpha males. The ones you know don't need to say much to know exactly what they plan on doing to you next. I love Henry's no bull-ish attitude and his honor code runs very deep. I knew in the first book that these two were going to have an explosive relationship. The suspense in this book was much more appealing that the first one. And I loved the first one but it seemed the paranormal that was added was just because. Here its was kind of random to but did not take up much plot. This book really took off from where the first one ended. I think Ranae Rose did an amazing job for this new series she has written. The love scenes have gotten better with every book I read of hers. I can not wait to read Grey amd Kerry's story!
This has to be by far my favorite quote in the book that show a man's way of thinking. I say this because I have read some books where the author just thinks men say dirty words with not much feeling behind the heros pov/thinking. I love how she has captured Henry and how she made them feel like a real person.
"She was someone he could love and – holy hell – he wanted to. Wanted that. Wanted her, and not just because of the way she moved beneath him, rocking up and down on his d***, adding her urgency and impact to his. For once he didn’t question whether something was a good idea, whether he deserved it, or how it could all fall apart. He knew he’d do anything to keep her, and knew he’d never be the same if he failed."
*I was given an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review and I was in no way compensated for it
Officer out of Uniform is book two in the Lock and Key series and gives us the story of Sasha and Henry who we got to meet in the first book. The two of them couldn’t be much more different in a lot of ways. Sasha is loud and outspoken, fiery and boisterous but she has been crazy head over heels for Henry since she first got to meet him at Alicia’s house in Officer Next Door. But once she realises just how much Henry truly means to her you come to see that they both share the same determination to fight anything for each other.
Henry is much more reserved and closed down than Sasha and has a sour mood with almost everyone almost all of the time. But when the same threat that began in book one resurfaces to plague the inhabitants of the small town in North Carolina he quickly steps up to the plate to protect the one woman he quickly comes to realise he can never live without. Being a former Marine and now a Prison Guard at the Riley Correctional Facility with Liam, Henry is more than ready, willing and able to fight for their lives.
Like book one, An Officer Next Door this book has the three points of view of Sasha, Henry and Randy Levinson which again a real bonus being able to hear things also from our villains mind. This book had some really great laugh out loud moments which really brightened up the darkness left by the murderous psycho and one that even now still makes me chuckle to myself just reliving. There are also heaps of hot, romantic moments and luckily for Sasha, Henry also comes equipped with handcuffs to help pass the nights. I am greatly looking forward to hearing the story of Kerry and Grey next but this was an excellent addition to this series.
She couldn't get him out of his uniform quick enough...
I loved the second story in the Lock and Key series!! There is lots of passion, a little gore, suspense and even a ghost. My favorite part was imagining Sasha running towards the woods in her bikini with her knife in hand. No one else would have brought a kitchen knife to a gun fight and been successful. And now a bit about the story...
Sasha finally got Henry in bed. Though the idea of a relationship with a man of so few words was starting to scare her. So as you can guess she runs off in the middle of the night. Now Henry is confused and finally makes up his mind to go to her when he comes across the wardens mutilated body hanging from the tree like a prize buck in hunting season. Henry knows this means Levinson is back and is looking forward to catching him. Can he balance his need for justice with his need to protect Sasha? Will she let him? She does have a very large knife...
Favorite passages: - Her flirting was more akin to a contact sport than simple fun or teasing. - Once you give someone a piece of your heart, that's it -- you don't get it back, and when they go, it goes with them. - You didn't just tell someone you loved them and then stay up all night keeping watch, listening to a police scanner and cleaning your Glock. - "Saying something doesn't make it true. If it did I'd e an independently wealthy billionaire living in a beachfront mansion. And you'd be my hired cabana boy, naturally."

A follow up to Officer Next Door, Officer Out of Uniform picks up where the first book left off and keeps going full-tilt. For once, I’m actually reading a series start to finish and I think that it is important here. The jailbreak that played such a central part of the first story continues with this one. And while Officer Next Door wasn’t open-ended, I think that a lot of the momentum from that book continues on here.
I love Sasha. She’s got a big spirit and she’s not afraid to show it to the world. She’s the complete opposite of the quiet Henry, who has had a lot of bad things happen in his life. They’ve left him both emotionally and physically scarred, but Sasha brings him out of the shell he’s retreated to. And to keep things exciting (as if the bedroom scenes aren’t enough to get your heart pumping), there is an escaped convict on the loose threatening everyone around them. It’ll definitely keep you on your toes until the last page.
Full of danger and passion and a whole lot of heart, Officer Out of Uniform is another can’t miss book from Ranae Rose.
(Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)
Henry & Sasha are chalk & cheese, complete polar opposites. Henry is your straight up, no nonsense, by the book, slightly conservative man, whereas Sasha has a devil may care, flirtatious, free spirit thing going on. She's flirted all summer & there was no way Henry could resist when she donned her red bikini, showing all of her womanly curves. This book is hot from page 1 & i needed a fan to cool down. The things Henry wants to do to his woman is enough to make a nun blush, but there's one slight problem, there's a killer on the loose & Henry has been targeted, so his priority is protecting Sasha, even if that means he doesn't get any (although he doesn't leave Sasha hanging). Sasha being the female she is is not going to have any of that nonsense & sets about showing Henry just what he's missing, & that it's ok to let down his guard a little. The only trouble is Henry remembers what happened the last time he let down his guard & it gives him nightmares. This book is a combination of thriller & naughtiness, with a little bit of supernatural & it was just what the doctor ordered. If you want to read this book i'd recommend you read book 1 first as things then make more sense.
This is the second book in the Lock and Key Series by Ranae Rose...Sasha and Henry where introduced in the first book in the series Officer Next Door.
Sasha is a strong woman who goes after what she wants and she wasn't Henry. A Sassy woman who knows her way around a kitchen and how to handle a knife. She tends to be impulsive but that is what I love about her.
Henry is a former Marine who works at the prison that has many a battle scare both mentally and physically. He is determined not to lose focus and keep Sasha safe even if it kills him.
This book does leave off where the last ended in the sense of one of the escaped prisoners is back for revenge and he plans on going out with a bang.
Henry and Sasha do make a great team, even when Henry thinks he doesn't need her. One of my favorite parts of the book involves Sasha running in a bikini and brandishing a kitchen knife.
This book is filled with all sorts of goodies which make it my favorite so far of all Ranae's books... It has suspense, steamy parts, humor, heartache, the lady in white, nightmares, and love.
*** ARC provided by the Author in return for an honest review*** Though this can be read as a stand alone book, this story picks back up where Officer Next Door (Lock and Key Book 1) left off. The relationship Sasha and Henry started in book 1 begins to develops into someone more. I loved seeing how helpless Sasha and Henry where to their attraction to one another. Unfortunately it is still a dangerous time for everyone with the prisoner who hasn't been captured yet on the loose. Because of this, Henry comes to see how protective he feels towards Sasha and knows he is willing to die for her. He isn't without his own inner demons though. Sasha however proves despite the danger and risks she is willing to stand by his side through it all. I thought the paranormal aspects of the story worked a bit better here than they did in the previous book but it might be due to me knowing what to expect. Either way this book definitely had it's thrilling moments and I cannot wait for Kerry and Grey's book!
I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I'm a huge fan of Ranae Rose's books. Her Inked in the Steel City series is one of my favorites. I loved the first book in her new Lock and Key series and was anxiously waiting for book 2, Henry & Sasha's story. Well, it was well worth the wait. Henry, still suffering both physical and mental scars from his two tours of duty in Afghanistan, falls for sassy Sasha almost from their first meeting. Sasha, still mourning the loss of her father in a tragic accident years ago, feels the same. Will they both be able to put their pasts behind them and give love a chance? More importantly, will they be able to survive the vicious escaped criminal who is targeting correctional officers from the local prison? There is all kinds of suspense in this book. You'll be on the edge of your seat, so hold on tight!
This is the second book in the Lock and Key series, and my favorite so far. Ms. Rose gives us everything that I enjoy when reading a romance suspense story. There is such a fantastic plot wrapped up in this story that I did not want to put it down. I absolutely loved the personalities of Sasha and Henry and finding out what made them who they are. The chemistry between these two people is very steamy, and when they are confronted with danger each one is determined to protect the other with their life even if that is what it will cost them. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Rose has planned for Kerry and Grey’s story in book three.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
The chemistry between these two is instant and intense. Throw in a psycho out for revenge for the death of his is equally psycho brother and the situation gets that much more intense. I love how Henry wants to take care and protect Sasha at all cost. Henry has lost so much in his life and he won't loss her. Sasha is independent and knows she can take care of herself but what woman doesn't love a man going all protective over her. This love story is sweet and another great from Ranae. I can't wait to read more from the series.

I can't wait to read more from the series.
Did not finish book. We saw glimpses of this couple in book 1. I was really anticipating their book. In page 1, we find out the couple already had sex, off page. Ummm, what?
Ok, so I kept reading. The heroine keeps saying she made the first move by sleeping with him, so it's up to him to make the next move. The hero's just wondering why she left so quickly. Sigh.
I stopped reading at this point. I liked book 1. Maybe book 3 will be better.
I am really enjoying this series. I loved this one because the characters and the story line, even though it was similar where different enough to not feel like it was the same book different people. the only thing I didn't like about it was that Grey didn't encourage Henry to get help and there wasn't any follow up to that. Otherwise, can't wait to read the next one.
Good light read. It wasnt as good as the first book in the series, but it was good enough that I still want to read the third. Sasha and Henry make a good couple and the storyline was decent. I like the multiple POVs. It really lets you connect with the murderer. I didnt connect with Sasha(2nd book) as much as I did with Alicia(first book). Still a good overall read though. I enjoyed it.
An Alpha Male with Handcuffs, protecting from a serial killer
When I finished reading Sasha and Henry's story I ended with a smile on my face and a very rumbling tummy from all the amazing food descriptions. I really enjoy Ranae Rose novels and I can't wait for Grey and Kerrie's story....I wonder what danger will lye ahead?
I love Henry. He is sweet shy hero that almost gives his life for the one he loves. Sasha is the loud sassy girl who wins his love. I love how she isn't scared to fight for who she loves. Such a good story. I loved this book. Now onto the next in this series.
