Evelyn's contentment at reuniting with Zack is cut short when one of his teammates--with no explanation--asks her to steer clear of the quarterback as a "personal favor." She initially decides to ignore the so-called advice, but then--realizing that she is becoming more and more attached to him, frightened by the intensity of her feelings--decides to cut him off, avoiding him and not answering his texts.
When Zack's performance at the ultimate game of the season falters, Evelyn comes to the conclusion that she and Zack are better off together--but then her roommate shows her the front page of the newspaper with Zack doing something that he shouldn't have been. Will it ruin their chances at happiness yet again?

It has many redeeming qualities. The characters were likable at best neutral at worst. The writing was much better than expected. I developed an interest that withstood to the end. The plot was nice, somewhat original or had its own unique flair. The writing was good, and the pretense wasn’t half bad, the romance was simmering with few exceptions. The male/female lead showed hints of abuse both verbal and physical, or signs of spot on or forced chemistry. It was a tiny bit predictable. Overall, liked it enough, entertaining.

I am really enjoying this series by Claire. I love seeing Zack with Evie but when a teammate says to stay away, can she leave Zack alone? U know by reading that something is happening and reading the cliffy I can't wait to read book 4 to find out what is going on
Push & pull themes rarely work especially when the participants are highly confused & don't know their left hand from their right as is the case of our heroine Evie.
Who in their right senses actually allows a random stranger to manipulate their sex life & than gets on their horse at the resulting fall-out.I recommend this heroine requires a mental growth spurt & should abstain from any relationships until she is mature enough to handle one.
Evie has a lot to think about. Will her shutout hurt or help Zack? There were plenty of steamy parts and it was a great installment in the Slammed series. I love the subtle cliffy at the end too. Once again Claire Adams has me wishing I can give it at 10!
Great book, just keeps you reading, what Evie lacks at times, then gains back, then Zach never disappoints, what will happen next, is someone setting him up???? Cannot wait for next bk.
This book is exciting when the final two football games happen and Evie attempts to stay away from Zach but is sadly mistaken and reconnects with Zach.
UHM ... I FOUND MYSELG SKIMMING THROUGH A LOT OF THIS BOOK BECAUSE THE CHARACTERS ARE REALLY GETTING ANNOYING ESPECIALLY EVIE ... HOPE THE LAST BOOK IMPROVES
