UPDATE: 2018
------------
Heroine has a twin sister who deceives the hero and they end up having sex. Our heroine catches them both in the act and flees. The hero was high and did not notice the difference.
Nine years later they meet again and when they are about to re-establish their relationship, the twin bitch appears in the city with the hero's son. Our hero did not even know he had gotten pregnant the evil twin.
More drama.
Our heroine has to donate a kidney to the boy because he has a serious illness, the twin bitch does not even show up at the hospital.
We find out that she has been celibate for all these years and still has to raise the son of the twin bitch with the hero.
HEA for doormat and asshole.

“You wanna come, then answer my question, Baby. When was the last time you had a cock inside your tight, hot pussy?”

“You. It was you, Nate. I hav…..”

The knowledge that Ronnie hasn’t been with anyone but me snaps the last thread of my control.

I hoped that this book would be better than the first in the series, but it wasn’t. Yet again, doormat woman eagerly begs to forgive the misunderstood man who shattered her heart, then does all she can to give him the perfect life. The author still desperately needs an editor to avoid using the wrong word (and I don’t mean “your” for “you’re”) and to point out punctuation errors, as well.

What an emotional story. I loved Nate and Veronica's story. I am so glad it worked out for them. I love that so many other characters have side stories as well that get told along the way. I can't wait to read more!

Loved Veronica and Verity, Verity being the epitome of the evil twin. Her decisions affected so many people. Veronica, kind and loving, made a decision which ultimately saved another’s life. Along the way we finally learn why Kendall had been kidnapped and brutally tortured for months on end. We are taken through the journey of Nate, aka Arrow, and his despair of losing Ronnie a second time.

I really enjoy the storyline and characters in this MC. What I hate, once again, is the shitty editing. It spoils reading for me. I also think that the story rambles in places and I get bored. More is not always better!

WHY GOD WHY??? I could grudgingly accept that Ronnie stayed a virgin for Nate and remained celibate all those years while he banged every woman in sight. But him having a child with Verity and Ronnie having to raise the child??? Oh God. What is it with Natasha Thomas' heroes and their hyper virility. URGH. And Ronnie is such a doormat??? Why is she so okay with Kellen??? OMG. I HATE THIS SO MUCH. In the end, Ronnie is the one who has to clean up everyone's mess and she still went to sort things out for Nate's mother.

The stupid child plot is so annoying. They needed to work out their issues and not have another issue thrown in their way while the previous issue is swept under the rug.

Gave it 3 stars because I did manage to finish the story. I skimmed a lot but I still wanted to find out what happened in the end. Also, I buy that the H and h were truly in love.

I started this book… couldn’t get into it.
Tried again and it sucked. There is no dialogue, it’s all telling. I skimmed so much.
The idea of the book was good, it just wasn’t written good. The Evil twin tricks H into sex. The h runs away. Eight years later H/h reunite. She wants nothing to do with him. Evil twin returns with H son that he knew nothing about. The h gives kidney to nephew. Sister signs over parental rights. The sis leaves and marries rival mc to somehow protect her son. The H/h don’t even get together until around 80% mark. Why in the hell does the woman not get to have sex while their apart for 8 or 9 years. WTF ever!!

Loving this series, was a bit hit and miss about how I felt about this one? I mean how much has someone got to put up with and keep giving themselves!?!? I just really felt for Veronica! Let's just hope over the whole series she doesn't get anymore heartbreak! Moving straight onto the next book!

**SPOILERS BELOW**

While Floating still suffers from poor flow, grammar issues, and endless, unnecessary inner dialogue (so, so, so much), I’ll admit that Arrow was slightly less of a douche than Declan in Burnt (book 1).

That said, the formula is nearly identical: best friends fall in love, get torn apart, reunite years later, and—of course—the FMC ends up raising and loving the other woman’s child. Insert drama, rinse, repeat. The only difference? Instead of a crazy baby mama, we get an evil twin… oh wait, she’s both.

To Arrow’s credit, he didn’t set out to hurt Ronnie. He left town to escape an abusive home life, then ghosted her for four years because he was too in love to handle hearing her voice. A weak excuse—especially considering how many women he slept with during that time. When he finally returns for her 18th birthday, they reconnect and fall in love… and then his evil twin pretty much SA’s him in a vulnerable, intoxicated state. He never would have willingly betrayed Ronnie, but by the time he realizes what happened, it’s too late—she sees him, runs off, and disappears for eight years. And of course, when she resurfaces, she unknowingly works for his MC’s tattoo shop.

One thing I did appreciate? Arrow took accountability. Unlike Declan, he owned his mistakes and felt real guilt. That said, he only looked for Ronnie for about 18 months before giving up (insert shrug). Also, for all the unnecessary details this book throws at us, the actual incident with the twin is glossed over—a huge miss.

Then comes the final drama bomb: the evil twin returns with Arrow’s secret son. Cue more chaos—Ronnie donates a kidney to the kid, the twin vanishes, Ronnie leaves again, and when she comes back… everything is magically fine. No real resolution, just a forced HEA.

The ending was anticlimactic. While Arrow was marginally better than Declan, the recycled storyline, unnecessary drama, and rushed conclusion made this book just as frustrating as the first. These men hurt the women they "love" for the dumbest reasons, make terrible choices, and all you can do is watch the train wreck in slow motion.

Why do I keep on getting disappointed reading these books? They have a good premise and then something goes wrong?

SPOILER

Why the hell the hero had to listen to OW (heroine's twin sister who tricked the hero into sleeping with her and ended up having his child whom she hid from hero. Then came back 8 years later and try to make things better but first screw them up between h and hero again ugh) and distance himself from heroine? They are bikers who are willing to kill people? Couldnt he browbeat the OW into making a decision favorable for him? It all seemed too contrived! Not once did he threw back at OW that she portrayed as heroine when she seduced him way back when the OW was on and on about how it was his fault and his walking out on her that he didnt see his son growing up.

There was def remorse on hero's part but he should have made more effort to try to locate the heroine after she disappeared after surgery. I get why heroine forgave him and decided to let go of past but he didnt make any effort and that is real bittersweet for me.

And why for once cant a heroine ask a hero about how much he was sexually active during their separation? I dont know if he was sexually active during that 4 month of separation or not.

IT seems that OW had met a bad fate but whats the point if we cannot glimpse it?

I dont like the writing style also.

After finishing the first one, I was reluctant to start this one. But I have the boxed set and hate to not finish a book.
The writing style is the same as in the first one. Arrow and Veronica are at least a lot more likeable as the first couple, wich made reading their story more enjoyable, that's why I gave three stars and not two like the first. But again, this book is dragging, really boring at times and made me skip pages.
Like I wrote, I'm reading the boxed set, a total of 14334 Pages. The first story ends at 5093, the second at 9625. And I'm a little afraid of the next 4,7k pages. I never looked at the numbers of pages before, so I can't compare... But it feels like a lot. And would have been the story just about them, without other People telling their own backgroundstories, half of the pages would have been enough.

Cute story but i have some issues

I've read the first devil's spawn book and this one and already it seems like an MC full of men needing a second chance or more with women they've either spent years pining over, getting, fucking up or something fucking them up and getting together by way of the guy demanding they be together. Also verity raped nate when she had sex with him when he was drunk/high and that part of the situation is ignored. And lastly verity's one chapter makes no sense when she says she pushed away Ronnie as kids to save her from her but purposely sexually assaulted her boyfriend and ruined her little bit of happiness and not taking care of her kid's known issue knowing it could become life threatening or tell his dad just in case seems dumb if she left him a trust fund.

just don’t do it

Just no. This book was frustrating and pretty boring. The FMC was weak and the MMC was self centered. FMC forgave too soon with no grovel from MMC throughout the book.
Another issue that was never addressed is the fact that Veronica’s own parents never told anyone there was a child (now 8) is also mind blowing. That FMC or MMC didn’t address that.. Just not a great read all around. There are so many pages or chapters that are pointless to the story that I felt I was skipping and the grammatical errors are frequent. I would not recommend this book and struggled to finish.

Enjoyable, Entertaining reads. recommend.
All Books in the Devil Spawn series and Vengeance series either have A few spelling errors, Letters missing from words eg hem instead of them, he instead of her etc, and other misc errors such as timeline not matching or description of events not matching in other books.
Apart from these issues I enjoyed the books and series.

Recommend.

What would you do when your best friend does the unthinkable you leave town but in a way it wasn't his fault it's her twin sister that does it.

Years later things seem good till in walks your twin again can Nate and Veronica get a break?

I love this series you need to meet the Devil Spawn MC

I liked this book more than the 1st one but both are good. One of the issues I had with this is that the basic story was too much like the 1st book-childhood best friends, get separated due to problem with another girl, mother of his child causes problems & them not be able to be together, find their way back to each other, etc.. The characters, details, and circumstances changed but it was almost like reading the 1st book again. (except the h in the 2nd book had more self respect and attitude than the h in the 1st book but not by much!) The other problem with both books was the editing and grammar errors. It got worse in the 2nd book. I liked the characters & story line in this book, a lot of details (too many reminders about their pasts-was in almost every chapter), intriguing twists, intimate scenes were sexy & hot, & just an overall great book. There are quite a few repeats throughout the book but the reminders about everyone's pasts tragedies from all the different POV's was a bit much. (esp when it was done in the 1st book too) I agree that the past issues are the foundation for what they're going through &/or how they've ended up, but it doesn't need retold by every single person and then remembered by that person too. It was just too much for me. I know it sounds like I'm being negative about the book but I am really not. It was a great read, but there are just a few things that could have made it better. At least in my opinion. I would recommend this series.

This second book in the Devil's Spawn series (currently free) really WAS about a spawn of the devil...Verity. OMG...I don't know when there has ever been such an evil twin written like this one...and poor Veronica could not catch a break either with Nate (the love of her life) or her own parents.
Ronnie endured one bad thing after another and had to suffer emotional and physical distress as she healed from the gunshot wounds she sustained in the first book protecting Declan and Kendall at their wedding.
This book was full of so much action and history (almost too much at times) and it did tie up all the loose ends neatly (almost too neatly) but I was not swayed to like Verity at all in the end (even with the author's explanation for her bad deeds) but I get that it made for some interesting conflicts now that she is involved with another MC, for future books.
Tank and Priss are next and their story looks to be interesting.

Loss for words, emotional, heart pounding & very touching story about Arrow/Nate, and his childhood sweetheart V/Veronica/Ronnie. And how they childhood was all great until Nate got a certain age and left his BFF behind to grow up until the time she was old enough he came back into her life & heart. Good twin/ bad twin story from Ronnie, her sister, Verity, is dark and twisted and broke Ronnie's heart when her sister dressed as her and slept with Nate to break Ronnie so Ronnie packed up and disappeared. Until 9 years later and Ronnie happens to move and live in the same town the name she will always love is living and taking up roots. Here sister is dark and twisted but in her chapter she shows compassion for her sister and her son that she never thought she would have by breaking her sisters heart that night all those years ago.

Like this better than the first book. I liked the fact they were once in love and had to reestablish their relationship. Her sister was dispecible, I still don't understand the reasoning behind her behavior. I had a love hate relation ship with Nate. I hated him for leaving when she was young, then loved him to knowing he wanted To be with her so young. Then I hated him again for being so stupid, who doesn't know their woman. Then I felt sorry for them both after verity came back into their lives. I wasn't sure if she was strong enough to come back from that blow. So far I really enjoy this series.

2 twin women...one is a selfless Angel..the other...exactly opposite. one I'll and damaged child, an MC full of hard living bikers who love kids...the angel' s past history with one of them. the angel has already nearly died stopping a bullet meant for a friend. the biker broke her heart twice and she still gave up a kidney to save his child's life....the one he had with her exactly opposite though identical sister. the sister who abandoned her boy when he needed her most...but did it to save his life.

OMG! seriously it was so hard to put this book down! that being said I read it in one day. it was one of the most heartbreaking books I have ever read, I teared up more times then I could count. Veronica and Arrow have such a tragic story, but it is told so well! the first book was good but I always seem to like the books better as the series goes on and this is no exception. absolutely loved it!!!

I did like this read but I did skip read a lot, quiet a bit to me wasn't essential to the story so I skipped it. My only problem really is am I going to finish the whole series to find out the side story running through each book, at the moment I'm not sure and will probably skip read the next book too, but it may not be enough to warranty why the sister is the way she is or what is fielding her life choices.

Arrow and Ronnie..well these books are full of angst, something is always keeping them apart and they all have to struggle for their HEA...Ronnie kept away for a long time but when they meet up again Arrow is determined to win her back, she catches him in a comprising postion with her sister and she knows something was off about the whole thing, she had to clear up a lot of baggage and she did. Fast read
