Pattie Lansbury Mystery #3

The Escapee and the Case of the Cat-Napper

Rate this book
This cozy mystery contains two short stories in one

Story #1 The Escapee

Patricia Lansbury, consulting detective, has solved plenty of crimes in the Yorkshire village of Little Hamilton. So has her estranged son, Detective Constable Andrew Lansbury, who was forced to leave the village in disgrace following a scandal.
Now the past has come back to haunt Pattie. An escaped prisoner that her son once put away is out for violent justice, and now Pattie has to solve her most personal crime yet. But how are a suspicious homeless person, a multi-millionaire entrepreneur, and a houseful of cats connected to the mystery? And can Pattie resolve the matter before the sins of the son catch up with the mother?

Story # 2 The Case of the Cat-Napper

Pattie Lansbury, amateur sleuth and owner of Yorkshire’s only Feline Retirement Home, has now established a much-needed veterinary practice in her sleepy village of Little Hamilton. Others might be suspicious of her secret investor, but Pattie is more concerned about the rumours of stolen cats spreading across the English countryside.

As the cat-nappers take things to the next level, Pattie is drawn into a mystery far more personal than she would ever have imagined. Who is stealing Little Hamilton’s furry residents, and why? It will take one determined consulting detective to find out, along with some kitties with very special skills!

I love cats. In fact I adore them. I am a cozy mystery author and massage therapist. When I'm not writing my next cat cozy mystery, I am facilitating healing in others through my massage practice in beautiful Southern California. I find inspiration through animals and my natural surroundings, and I spend most of my days and nights enjoying the company of my two Tortoiseshell cats.

Disappointing read

I really enjoyed her other books. This is really 2 short stories in one book. The author dissapoints in plot and chracters and reality. You cannot jus put up a sign saying you are a vet clinic. You cannot perform these type of services nor if you love animals should you. She should contract with a vet to come by and get training. I love the cats but overall author has lost me.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Cute story and easy reading

I enjoy easy reads before bed to help me fall asleep. These little stories are purrrrfect for filling that need. Charming characters and sweet rescues are a peaceful way to say goodnight to the day. Endearing kitties, and cleverly written stories reveal each of the cats personalities. Recommended for all cat lovers.

This was a fluff read. I found that it did not hold my interest; but it helped me pass the time on a snowy March afternoon.

2 nice short stories

These were fun, but I wasn't expecting the first to be short. There are errors, using an incorrect word, etc. Is there a way to notify the author?
