This book tells us how to become more financially intelligent. This is a good read for people who have been working for quite a while and have not reached their financial goals. This is also a recommended reading material for young people so as to avoid the mistakes many have made. That they may be able to accumulate wealth early in life and not be a slave to work.
GALING NG LIBRO NA 'TO! ETO MAGANDANG DEFINITION NG WEALTH!
"Wealth does not necessarily mean having millions and millions of pesos. Being wealthy simply means having the financial resources to supPort your chose lifestyle.... Wealth is really a condition where your present financial resources can support your lifestyle over a long period of time even if you do not work to generate income."
i would say this is a must read book....why...bec it definitely teaches you how to gain financial freedom...easy to read and easy to follow..i would recommend this to people who like are already working and dont know how to start savings...
I liked how Francis Colayco wrote this book because he wrote it with subtlety, humility, honesty, realistically and most of all with practicality. This book is unlike those other books because this book actually teaches you things both in handling money and also how to deal with crises that are spurned by money. I like how he uses examples to illustrate and to give a more concrete example of the teaching that he tries to tell the reader. This book is unique from those other "How to get filthy rich" or "How to be a BIG FAT SUCCESS" because the author did not use his success or his achievements in creating this book, what he did was he used his experience and his knowledge and applied it very thoroughly and easily for the readers to understand. If you want to buy a business book or any kind of book related to this field, then I suggest you buy this book and the other books that were written by this author.
My uncle lent me this book. But I never read it. Except now.
Had I read this book 3 years ago, I would have been amazed and surprised with all the information it contains. Kaso ngayon ko lang binasa (after 3 years nakastock sa closet) kaya parang nagrereview lang yung feeling haha.
Overall, I still enjoyed reading this book albeit 90% of its content is nothing new to me. I mostly agreed with his views but I disliked how he kinda put the idea of stock market in a bad light. But nevertheless, a very light and informative read! An ideal beginner's guide to financial independence.
It's a good read. The book motivated me first part and last part. I started reading the book since last year, when i got to the middle, i got too lazy to finish it. it's very informative and the numbers can really motivate. overall, colayco making an effort to spread financial awareness definitely helps big time. it's just gonna be up to the reader if he'll absorb it. Savings/investments are just few of the safe options that one must take advantage, be a priority to rather than investing on things that won't prove worth later on. most of us don't take advantage of that opportunity because they lack awareness.
Glaring typos and grammatical errors. Topics in English are unnecessarily repeated in Filipino. The author rambled on several pages on concepts which could've been explained in a simple, concise manner, yet it still lacked depth and substance. Okay for people who does not have any background at all in personal finance, especially those who prefer it in Filipino. People with basic knowledge or took a course in finance, accounting, or management will be very, very disappointed.
It was not created to cater classes A and B; this is the reason it was 'unnecessarily' translated in Filipino, as one airhead emphasized. This was meant to educate people who works their asses off but saves nothing, the financial illiterate.
If you think you belong to at least class B or, luckily, the financial literate people, dont put that sour face of yours. This was never meant to be made for you. NNOO!!!
Gives the best idea on how to make profit on your passive income. Will definitely use this as a guide for future investments. Hope Mr. Colayco will make a book focused on trading for beginners :)
A very good book. I am inspired financially and confident looking forward to financial freedom. In this book you will learn a lot and it will motivate you as an employee.
Useful book for anyone who without any practical financial literacy. Not recommend for anyone else. If you know how to create a budget this book may not provide you with much value.
Read this book back in 2007 or 2008 if I’m not mistaken. This change my perception on how money works. Perhaps it is one of the most life-changing books I’ve read. Same with the author, I am very convinced that more financial literacy program needs to be done in the Philippines. Along with Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad, this paved the way for my financial enlightenment. Great work by the author. Truly a must-read book for all who plans to be financially-free.
