This text presents both the vertebraic structure and its evolutionary development and significance, allowing students to learn why a structure is the way it is, as well as what it is. There is an integration of structure and anatomy, emphasising the comparative nature of anatomy, and showing the evolution of different structures. There are 16 full-colour pages as well as numerous illustrations showing anatomical detail, especially at the cellular level. The coverage of cladistics is completely new to this edition.
Tive que ler pra faculdade, faço biomedicina. É bem útil pra cadeira (anatomia comparada), mas é meio massivo e chatinho. Vale a pena se precisar de apoio, mas ler todo ele no meio de uma faculdade é muita demanda.
A wonderful book for nature nerds! This is a textbook, but a very interesting one. Thsi book will help you see the animals in your world in a new light! Fantastic!
Super in-depth text that was informative. However, for the course I was taking, it was kind of unnecessary unless I was really confused by the course notes, or interested in finding out the details. All black and white, if I recall correctly.
