Entire planetary systems have declared their independence from a government that can no longer rule over them in good faith—or protect them from the dangers in the dark.
Total chaos befalls planet after planet, as new orders emerge and old scores are settled. One such world is Enduran, whose only hope may rest in the skills of Captain Aeson Keel and the wayward Endurian princess Leenah.
While the Indelible VI dogfights among the stars, the heart of the Legion battles elsewhere.
In a desperate attempt to restore order, former Legion commander Chhun and Hunter Team Ranger fight for their lives on a R&D world once dominated by the Cybar. Their mission to recover the last high-value target with knowledge of the era known as the Troubles has become a death trap, and even with Republic Marines and a Legion Wreck Team on the ground to assist, Team Ranger will push themselves to the limit not only to survive, but to complete their mission, no matter the cost.
Will the secrets they uncover mean salvation for the Republic—or its final breaking point?
Finally series gets back to the plot after 2 books of boring filler that didn't add much. I was about to give up on this before this book came and pulled me back in. Cybar, Savages, secrets and mysteries. That's what I want. Not another generic skirmish on a generic planet that's meaningless to the plot. At 20 books or however many we are into this series, I think we are past that point. Like I get that authors need to "set up" and exposition dump, but I could barely make it through the start of season 3. They could have interspersed the more interesting plot points along the boring stuff in previous books maybe.
I love all of Anspach and Cole’s work, including Forgotten Ruin, Strange Company, and, of course, all the GE spinoffs. This is a page-turner. I love how the old characters are back and how much storyline is revealed. I am not sure where this is going, but I need more.
Please do not take so long between books this time!
If I wanted to know how the series is going to go, I would’ve waited for the movies, but you’re not gonna get because you wrote tripe. The robots win … hurrah. It was good until it wasn’t.
