This is an academic type of book. It was written in 1939 and purports to cover all information about the European races of mankind. A note to the reader: the word race is not used that much anymore, but if you substitute the word subspecies, you are stating the same concept. The author certainly did his work well, and his knowledge is absolutely immense. I continue to return to this book for background information on people from different nations of Europe. It is absolutely fascinating to me because the author is so scrupulous with all information.
