KYLE WARNER'S POV This is a continuation of Melody and Kyle's story picking up from where Melody's Crush left off. Kyle and Melody are dating! Great... but one wants to let everyone know about their relationship status and the other... not so much. If you read Melody's Crush, you know which one is wanting to keep it quiet. How can they keep their relationship a secret when it's so obvious how they feel about one another. And when friends, family and Lia discover the truth, how will the lovebirds be able to handle it? On top of dealing with a blooming relationship, Kyle is having to deal with his own personal demons... like the guilt he feels toward his sister's death. For someone who is only eighteen, this young man has gone through more trials and tribulations, heartbreaks and loss than most people go through in a lifetime... and yet, he holds onto hope... and Melody.
In this story, we welcome back Jake and Max(i) who will soon be getting their own story to tell! :-)
Be advised, this contemporary Teen / Young Adult Romance story has some strong language and even stronger sexual connotation. There are no "Sex" scenes.
I truly hope you enjoyed this book. Please let me know what you thought about it.
So I don't often leave reviews but I love melody and Kyle's story. Dillon's writing is excellent she really makes you care about the character. Normally I grip about the ending of books and movies not being realistic but without giving away to much when it came to the last few chapters I was on the edge of my seat screaming for a Christmas miracle. I want the happy ending for all of Kyle's family. The best part of this book, the little incidents of everyday life that make it worth living. The down side, not just telling that cow Lia to take a hike. So now I'm going to go crazy waiting for the next book but more importantly waiting to find out what's up with Maxi.
Really enjoyed this book! Picks up right where the last one left off. You get to see Kyle & Melody grow as a couple, and I LOVE that it's from Kyle's pov. I also liked the fact that they went a little farther physically-not the whole way, but hopefully in the next book? There is some angst, and they are apart for awhile-I hated that! BUT thankfully they didn't stay apart for too long. I'm super excited that there is going to be another one! It would be great to have books on Jake & Max too, both great characters. And not that this matters at all, but I'm over 40, and really enjoyed it. It's not just for younger readers, it's really well written, and keeps you interested the whole time. Come on book 3!!!!!

Wow this book blew me away! I loved Melody's Crush but Melody's Heart was so emotion packed. I fell even more in love with the characters and laughed and cried. This book was truly amazing and so touching. I loved Melody's mom, everyone should have a mom like her and Kyle's dad's love for his wife was so sweet. By the end of this book I loved them all, especially Max and can't wait for his story!! This book is a must read!!!
Wow! I'm a grown woman with (almost) grown children and I'm totally in love with Kyle, the main character in "Melody's Heart'. LOL!! What a sweetheart!! He's the perfect definition of 'perfect male teenager'. I know... that's an oxymoron but it's so true! He's so considerate and caring, but he still has his moments where his immaturity is showing. He wonders about the world and why things happen, but he tries so hard to take care of those he loves and to make the world a better place for them. Such a terrific character!
That being said, I cannot wait for the next book in this series! All of the characters are wonderfully 'fleshed out' and the plots are exciting enough to keep the reader's interest, but still realistic enough so you're not pulled out of the story from rolling your eyes. Alora Dillon is a terrific author and my only disappointment is that she doesn't have any more books available, at this time.
If you enjoy Young Adult fiction, check out this exciting new author. You'll be hooked!
Where to begin... I love, love, love this series.. I really liked Melody's Crush but Melody's Heart was perfect. I literally stayed up to read this book and it was worth it.. I really liked how this was written from Kyle's POV. I loved how his relationship with not only his parents but also with Maxi changed for the better. I loved that even though he is one of the "popular kids" at school, he also has insecurities and doubts like any typical teenagers.. You took us yet again to a roller coaster ride of emotions from laughing along with Maxi and breaking our hearts along with Kyle... and cheering for both Kyle and Melody at the end.
I love, love, love, love, love, love, love (deep breath) love, love, love, love, love these books. The story is written beautifully. I love how Alora Dillon took the time to provide the reader with so many descriptions. It is very easy to imagine what she wants you to. The story is very sweet and it will tug at your heartstrings. You will laugh and you will tear up and there may be times where you will rush to try to find a tissue. I truly enjoyed the story and I look forward to the next one. Hopefully it's coming out real soon.
I read a lot of these romance books and very rarely find one that I believe was done perfectly. Normally when authors add drama to the story it becomes totally unrealistic and I end up not being able to finish the book. She has done a wonderful job of keeping it practical. After reading the first book, though I throughly enjoyed it, sequels to books in this genre tend to be extremely disappointing. This was completely different! In fact, I might have even enjoyed this sequel even more than the first! I would highly recommend this series!
I love this book, love the male pov but I could not get this thing about describing all the brands that the guy uses. Come on? My husband and my son can barely describe the color of their clothes, can imagine describing the brand? Pha!
Besides that it is a great story , I am sure to look more stuff from this author. Cannot wait for the next books!
Young love is a beautiful thing and a joy to read, always. Lots of sweet kisses and hand-holding, the love of family a super glue bond. Wonderful sequel. Looking forward to more books in this series!
I definitely liked this book to like the other one glad there still together and the author will write a story for Jake and Max great story great author
This book had me laughing, had me shaking my head, it had me crying, but most of all it had me not able to put it down. Beautiful book and a must read.
The story was cute, but not believable. What high school would, even with permission slips, require a guy and girl to stay at each other's house for several nights for a parenting project? The writing was painful at times because of the exorbitant amount of detail down to every specific movement of a character. Whenever I got to an intimate scene it would be ... here we go again... it was tedious and repetitive. Trust the reader to use some imagination. AN editor would help tighten up the writing. There were a number of other issues with usage errors. The story premise was cute. It actually had potential, that's why I rated 3 stars instead of less. I just found myself skimming through multiple scenes trying to get to heart of the story.
