Although working as a baker for many years, writing has been a passion for Chris for some time, starting in high school and reigniting again in 2006, when he first got the inspiration to begin writing 'The Man In Black.'
After completing that project eight years later, he took part in NaNoWriMo in November 2014, culminating into a project named 5PM. Deciding to self-publish, 5PM came out in February 2015, and then The Man In Black in August.
2016 saw the release of 7PM, and in that same year, his writing path met with that of Canadian author Kate Reedwood. A mutual respect of each other's work ignited an interest in working together, creating the Legacy Hunter series, the first of which to come out in July 2017.
Apart from writing, Chris enjoys travelling, reading, watching movies and all things geeky. He resides in Coffs Harbour with his wife and three children.
Chris will be at Nexus Con on July 29 celebrating the release of the first book in his Legacy Hunter series.

I've been waiting for a while to read something from Mr Heinicke, and 5pm is well worth the wait. It reminds me a little of Gone Girl, but far better. I didn't enjoy Gone Girl, but I enjoyed this. And sorry Chris, but I can always pick the killer from the start. But that is just me. It is not predictable. It will always keep you guessing. So if you like seductive thrillers, I recommend 5pm.

**TARA'S REVIEW**

Right from the first chapter I was filled with suspense. I love when mystery books use the first chapter to prerequisite what may or may not happen in the end. This book did not fall short in the suspense department. It was what actually kept me reading, because I just really needed to know who was behind the computer destroying Terry’s life, one woman at a time.

Aside from the mystery in the storyline, the rest of the book was extremely hard for me to relate to and unrealistic. The timeline for the events felt very rushed. The rate in which things occurred over a super short period of time just did not mesh well with the story. I would have liked to have seen more build up to the first situation Terry had put himself in.

Throughout the book I kept going back and forth with who I thought did it, and I was pleasantly surprised with how everything played out. I did not see that all coming, which made the completion of the story good for me. It was the best possible ending to the whole suspense behind the story.

This book does contain a whole lot of sexy time, and each situation was very different. They were not extremely descriptive or over the top.

Overall, this book just did not hit the mark for me other then the mystery aspect. If you like a good who done it, this would be a great quick read. I just wish I could have connected more with the remainder of the story.

Terry happily married, two beautiful children. A successful real estate agent. Life was wonderful. He had no complaints. Until he best friend Roger introduced him to a online world 3DDreamchat. Once he entered them rooms, his life would ever be the same.

I have to see this book had so many twists and turns in it. While I had a good idea of who was behind the main story, all the things going on in between surprised me. If your looking for a mystery, suspense and seduction. This is the book for you. Keeps you on the edge of your seat and wondering who you can trust through the entire book.

What a book admittedly it was a bit slow to get in to but I carried on and I m glad I did what a twist that I didn't expect it really made your heart go you wanted to hate the guy and love him as you don't expect him to go through all he did.

Terry had been married to Tallisa for 12 years, his best friends/best man Roger introduces him to the world of 3Ddream chat which makes him do naughty things.

5pm by Chris Heinicke had me captivated right from the beginning. I was blown away by his skill with words and how the story had me guessing what would happen next. There is a twist that I never would have guessed. This story had some very interesting moments. It is a thriller and one which will leaving asking what will Mr Heinicke think of next. Much love for this story! A solid five stars!

Did you ever read a book and at the end go holy cow!? That is exactly what I said once I finished 5 PM by Chris Heinicke.

Once I started to read 5 PM I hated to put it down. It grips you from the beginning and doesn’t let go until you get to the end. The story revolves around the internet, sex and murder. 5 PM will have your mind spinning in different directions as the story evolves and once you get to the end you will have one of those WTF moments. It will also start to make you think twice about who you may be speaking with on the internet.

This was a new author for me, and I must say that I liked his style of writing very much. This book is loaded with suspense and that is no exaggeration. I got hooked right away, and it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. There are no dull moments in this book. Between the suspense, twists and turns and steamy romance it will keep you engrossed right up until the last page.

This is a very talented author, and I look forward to reading more from him. I highly recommend this book.

I really struggled with this book. Although I was wrong with who I thought was the person behind the "hit". I couldn't get into it & skipped all sex scenes which saved me some time. Not for me but for someone else it will be.

This reads like a first Novel. 5PM is not what I'd usually read, but I did finish it. Chris Heinicke has taken the use of cyber dating chat to the extreme and it could have gone further except the plot was weak, the characters didn't speak to me, nor were they believable. The sexual liaisons were ho hum and went on far too long and failed to build suspense. Then just as the story became interesting and gained momentum, we go racing off to a farm house, full of Terry's (the main character) family who weren't mentioned in any detail up to this point,. Family suddenly become main players with dad revealing hidden secrets, and cooking a Sunday roast, before all bar two are slaughtered when the action finally starts. Once the dust clears the story jumps 5 years, with everyone living happily ever after. The ending is left open ended with sequel potential, and potential there is if BluesGirl can ride again. Remembering the unbelievable needs to be believable to work.

I lost sleep over 5PM....

I was mildly intrigued by this book when I got it. It follows Terry through an 11 day span of time from when he starts off as a model husband, father and friend. You kind of like him and then you begin to hate him after he is exposed to a chat program by his best friend. This program exposes Terry’s weakness and exploits it. You begin to hate who he is, but by this time you are just as confused as he is and you’re in too deep. You have to know what happens next! By the end, you love him, he is a well written, redeemable character.

This short story starts off slow, but stick with it! It is well worth the ride! The suspenseful nature and the hot scenes really pull this book along nicely. I lost sleep over this one because it totally messes with your head, well done, Mr. Heinicke! I was provided a copy. 4 out of 5 stars. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!!

Crazy book....

This book was crazy, it takes you on a crazy ride with sex, the internet and murder. It goes in different directions, which can be confusing with all the different things happening at once. It drives home you need to be careful who you talk to on the internet. Anything can happen or go wrong. You will want to go through the twists and turns. Just to see what happens.

This book started off slow, I had to push through it a little and once things started to get confusing, you just had to keep reading. It left you wondering what would happen next and when the events happened things happened that you didn't expect!
