Rate this book
A fantastic first concept book about colours, featuring 20 vehicles from bulldozers and trucks to tippers and diggers, and showing ten different colours. There's a wheel to turn on the final spread, where the child can match vehicles to colours, for extra interactive learning and fun. Brilliantly designed, almost deceptively simple book for kids!

Each page leads to the next, beginning with "Red Dump Truck" and moving to "Red Digger" and then continuing to change first the vehicle and then the color on page after page, coming full circle to end where it began.

Starting with red and concluding with black before returning to red again, this oversized picture book introduces youngsters to ten different colors. Undoubtedly, young readers will love seeing how each color gradually changes to a paler shade of itself before becoming another color with the turn of the page or the shift of a color wheel at the end of the book. Fans of large vehicles will be delighted to see 20 large vehicles featured here, including a tractor and a crane. This is a cool and visually attractive way to broach an important concept with young readers.

a naming book, good for young children working on their colors and who are interested in or learning about trucks and different kinds of construction equipment. The mix and match wheel at the back is cool, but a little fragile to be handled regularly by the target demographic of this book.

M loves trucks, and cars, and tractors, so this is a new favorite discovery from the library. She also likes pointing out the birds (there are birds on every two-page spread).

A more than adequate book. The rotating color wheel in the back is good fun.

After we'd read through this book several times, the three-year-old still wanted to keep flipping through the pages, ultimately spending most of his time on the color wheel in the back. Who knew that such a simple book could provide so much entertainment? And nothing works better to teach him than construction vehicles, so we'll have our colors down in no time.

This book shows different vehicles (tractor, crane, digger, dump truck) in all different colors. The only words are the colors and name of the vehicle. The back has a color wheel where you can change the colors yourself-- and it can be really fun and useful for learning colors and names of the different trucks!

Great book for any vehicle lover, plus a bonus of color concepts thrown in, especially if the color/tire wheel is used at the back of the book.

Age appropriate and straight forward picture book. The colors and trucks repeat on the accompanying pages. This is a book to share with your preschooler.
