Murder Twinks

Levi

I love pain. I think. I’ve never actually had a chance to experiment with it, or with my newfound bisexuality for that matter, but that’s going to change. I just met this amazing couple online, Milo and Arson. They’re so confident and hot, I can’t believe they took an interest in me! I might have lied to them a little bit, leading them to believe I was experienced when I’m . . . not. At all. But I’m sure they’ll never find out.

What I didn’t expect was the murder spree that followed.

Milo

I love pink, glitter, frilly skirts, violence, and being in control. My boyfriend, Arson, loves my sadistic tendencies, but the little brat has brutal tendencies of his own that I’m unwilling to fulfill. When we meet Levi online, the perfect opportunity to explore them together arises.

Arson

Yes, that’s my name. I chose it myself after coming out. I love it when my boyfriend, Milo, takes control and leaves me a sobbing mess, but I’d like to be the one putting someone in this state sometimes. Levi claims to love pain as much as I do, if not more. Milo and I are going to have so much fun together with him!

The story of three twinks exploring the depths of their desires and committing murders while healing their respective traumas in the process.

Aiden E. Messer does not exist. Are they an illusion, a ghost, a mere thought? No one knows. If we are to believe one of the children they seem to work with, if they were a teacher, they would be as tall as a human. They are not a teacher. According to various sources, they have studied psychology, and have always had a penchant for horror and the macabre. They like to combine these subjects in their books.

Desire, justice, healing, and a whole lotta love.

Murder Twinks is about Milo, Levi, and Arson, three very different people who, together, make a well oiled killing machine and we get front row seats to see just how creative they can be with the people who’ve done wrong. And what this trio does behind closed doors? Let’s just say things get very, very spicy.

Even though it’s a short, fast paced book, it doesn’t hold back. It’s brutal, gory, and very kinky.

Also, Aiden has a way of writing lovable characters who are different in so many ways, showing that love is love and I fucking love that.

So if you’re up for some chaos, violence, and a safe word, check Murder Twinks out. It’s perfect for the trans rights readathon.

ARC Review ** Murder Twinks was a fun and unique read. I went in hoping for a bit more gore, and it never quite reached the splatterpunk level for me, but the murder scenes that were there were still entertaining.
The book had some interesting characters and included plenty of BDSM and sexual elements that added to the overall vibe of the story. While it wasn’t as extreme as I had hoped, I actually think it would make a great starter book for someone curious about getting into this genre.
I really enjoyed the author’s writing style—it was engaging and easy to get through—and I’d definitely be interested in reading more of their work in the future.

Each book is better than the last ! This is my new favorite book by the author. Each one seems to exceed the previous one. This one took splatterpunk to a new level. There was plenty of sex, gore, and violence and i really loved the three main characters who are involved in a BDSM throuple relationship and it was so great to see bisexual and trans characters represented.

Milo and Arson are together, and love each other, but, are open to exploring a lot. That in mind, they meet, and talk to Levi for a while. Whereas Milo and Arson are very open with each other on what they can, and can't handle, this is Levi's first time doing anything like this. Levi is very anxious, introverted sub, and easy to become shy. This is a sharp contrast to how Milo, a sadistic dom, and Arson, a masochistic switch are. They are both experienced, and know the tolerance of their own thresholds for pain, and what separates it from pleasure. After a mind-blowing experience, one where Levi ignored his own safeword, he finds out, very fast, that he may be able to get used to the fetishes, and the kinks, and, might even be beginning to care for Milo, and Arson, as they cared for him after the hardcore session. While violent, and wild in the bedroom, the pair of them always consider the feeling of those they care for. The same cannot be said for the scum of the earth. And, after hearing about a poor young woman being assaulted in horrible ways by someone who the court decided had, "a promising future, that shouldn't be tarnished by such a case", the newly formed throuple put their heads together, and decided that the attacker doesn't deserve to live. Hatching a plan that he cooked up rather easily, having an interest in true crime, Levi gets the encouragement from Milo, and, Arson that he had so desperately craved form another human being. Let alone, two. The murdering for Milo is almost euphoric, or, shall we call it the torturing. Being in that much control of another. The act, similarly, seems to heighten the sexual libido of both Levi, and, Arson. Satisfied with what they had done, and the celebration afterward, the three are on cloud nine, and Milo starts to feel invincible, all while the bond between them all begins to strengthen. They are doing what the system can't. What it won't. And, what does it hurt if they get off, doing it? If you are corrupt scum, you are not safe from the murder twinks! This was a wild, wild ride. I had no idea what I was stepping into, but, it definitely wasn't this. The real heart of this story is the coming together, and bonding of like minded individuals. To find what fits, and flows. The energy between those types of beings is a deeper connection. That being said, this book is very sexually graphic. Nowhere near vanilla, so, if you gets embarrassed very easily, proceed with caution. Very steamy, taboo, and extreme fetishes. The butchery was outstanding! The gore in this is next level, and made this one of the most vile I have read from Aiden! If you can stomach the beautifully creative kills, it is all over this, for sure! The ending was very sweet, and the chemistry is amazing. I definitely recommend this!

A perfectly cromulent gorefest that didn't give its characters room to breathe.

There's some fantastic gore here. If you're into gore scenes, you can't go wrong with this one. Had me wincing and squirming in my seat. And after the gore scenes, there are good blood-splattered sex scenes that were just sublime. If you like your murderers to be caring and communicative with their sex partners, then this is the book for you.

But, for me, the character relationships were lacking.

In the first chapter we read that long-term boyfriends, Milo and Arson, are meeting up with Levi for the first time after talking to him on a forum for months. After a sex scene, the three of them read a news article about a rapist and decide to murder him. None of the men have ever murdered anyone (Levi hasn't even had kinky sex before this meeting), but they all agree that it's a good idea and are very gung ho about it. It feels very abrupt. Perhaps it would be less jarring if the three of them had already been dating for a while, with Levi slowly being pushed more and more out of his comfort zone by two more experienced murderers. As it is, the relationship between them goes very quickly.

The final chapter has best domestic scene of the three and I wish more had been peppered throughout the book. We see the three of themI only wish the book had more scenes like that throughout so that we saw them truly growing together - more slow moments in between the murder and sex.

And shout out to Arson for having a cock and a cunt, we love to see it.

Thank you to Aiden E. Messer for an advanced copy! All thoughts are my own.

Murder Twinks is, for all intents and purposes, a novella that doesn't stray too far from its title. Milo and Arson are a couple, and when we first meet them, they've only just brought Levi (who they met online) into the mix. The three meet up with the intention of having sex—nothing more, nothing less. However, when Arson shortly thereafter comes across an article reporting on a rapist who got off scot-free, the narrative takes a sharp (and bloody) turn.

It's always satisfying to read a story where the bad guys get what they ultimately deserve. If you resonate with stories about marginalized individuals getting revenge on abusers, you'll certainly enjoy that aspect of Murder Twinks. I do wish, however, there was more lead-up to each murder that was committed by our characters. A lot of the plot moves here felt kind of sharp and jarring, but I think that's a matter of Messer packing a lot into only eighty pages.

Similarly, I really liked each of our characters, but I sorely wish we could've had more time to get to know each of them. They were all so unique and creatively done!

So, all in all, I think a lot of the "issues" I had with Murder Twinks could've been solved with a longer page count, so the narrative could've had more room to breathe. I still had a lot of fun, however, and it's worth picking up if you're on the hunt for queer-centric splatterpunk!

**ARC REVIEW**
**Spoiler free**

4/5 stars

Well this one was a bit of wild ride… mainly down to the amount of sex and to how fast the book was moving. The speed of the book is understandable due to it being a 80 page ride.

I like the element of the story following all three characters (Milo, Levi and Arson).

Pre warning, for anyone who isn’t into lots of sex in a book this one might make you become more prude haha. After reading this book I can say I learnt alot about gay sex and funnily enough it was a refreshing to learn something new, aka the trans masc genital part. I find the sex in the book nicely detailed and quite visceral.

I would give this book a five stars but I really feel like the book could do with a few more pages added to it so the pacing didn’t feel so rushed. Like there was scenes I had to double check because I got a little lost on the pacing. Like to the jump from sex to then doing a murder. I could be being picky but I would have loved more character expansion in the book and more detail into the gore (This is most likely a me thing because I live for the gore lol)

But hands down loved this book and my favourite character is Milo.

Murder Twinks is releasing on the 25th of this month (three days from this review) I recommend picking it up and giving it a dive.

I wanna say a big thank to Aiden E. Messer for letting do a ARC review of your latest book

A fast-paced, kinky gore fest.

A couple, Milo & Arson, bring in a third, Levi, for some kinky fun. The initial play session turns into more, which leads to a murder spree(?). This story contains explicit gory scenes that involve sex with our MCs.

It’s an entertaining read. There’s a vicious satisfaction in seeing bad people getting what they deserve, at least in fiction.

However, overall, the story felt rushed. The story opens with the first face-to-face meeting of our couple to their third and jumps immediately into a hardcore (knife-play) scene. From there, the pacing just keeps moving faster with no sense of time passing. If you told me that the entire story took place over the course of a week or an entire semester, I wouldn’t be surprised.

The story also only skims the surface of the characters and plot. There’s merely a glimpse into each character. There’s little depth into the basis behind determining who the trio target. I would have appreciated delving deeper into our characters’ back stories and motivations.

As another reviewer me turned, my issues with Murder Twinks I> could be resolved with a longer page count, allowing for more depth.

Thanks to the author for access to this advanced reader copy. These thoughts are my own.

Just finished Murder Twinks by Aiden Messer and I loved it but then again I haven't read a book by them that I didn't like 🤷🏻‍♀️

This one leans HARD into dark, chaotic energy. The story follows a twisted, messy cast of characters—none of them exactly “good people”—as things spiral into violence, manipulation, and some seriously uncomfortable moments. It’s very character-driven, and the main perspective is equal parts magnetic and unhinged, which makes it weirdly hard to put down even when you’re like “I should NOT be rooting for this person.”

The pacing is quick and sharp, with short bursts of tension that keep things moving. There’s a rawness to the writing style that feels intentional—like you’re dropped straight into the characters’ heads without a filter. It can feel abrasive at times, but that’s also what gives it its personality.

That said, this is definitely not a light read. There are themes of violence, power, and identity that aren’t handled gently. If you go in expecting something polished and conventional, you might bounce off—but if you like edgy, boundary-pushing stories that take risks, this will probably hit.

Overall: bold, unsettling, and memorable.

🔪Title: Murder Twinks
🚬Vibe Check: gore, Queer, Multi pov
🪦Genre: Horror(?)
⭐ Rating: 3/5

🔪My Thoughts:
I’m kinda bummed

This was promoted as a heavy splatterpunk read with erotic smut. Honestly, I don’t consider this splatterpunk. It read like YA despite the book being very NOT YA. There was so much of it that just wasn’t enough to make it something I’d recommend as a splatterpunk. None of it really felt gory, the scenes around gore felt limited. It didn’t go in depth enough in its describing to be considered splatterpunk horror in my eyes. I also honestly found some of the erotic scenes to be lacking. I won’t go in depth as to why.
This isn’t to say it’s a bad read, I finished it! If I’m not enjoying a book at all I’d DNF. I was excited to have a book with a FTM trans character who’s also gay (like myself.) While I didn’t really resonate with that character someone else might.

I won’t re-read it, but it wasn’t a bad read.

🚬Standout Elements:

Starts right off with an erotic scene

“Your safe word is ‘euthanasia’ right?”

Hot sauce in a SUPER questionable place.

🪦Final Thoughts:
If you want to dip your toes into Splatterpunk it may be a good option.

Murder Twinks is chaotic, bloody, ridiculous, and somehow still weirdly charming.
Add in the vigilante subplot, and things get unhinged pretty quickly.

Milo and Arson are already a chaotic pair on their own, but when Levi enters the picture? Yeah…things spiral fast. What starts out feeling like a wild, kinky adventure turns into something way darker, messier, and honestly kind of hilarious in how over the top it is.

The tone of this book is very self aware. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. It's violent, it's outrageous, and it fully leans into the absurdity of the premise.

If you enjoy dark humor mixed with horror elements and morally questionable characters, this is going to be a lot of fun.

The characters are chaotic little disasters, but that's exactly what makes them entertaining. They're messy, impulsive, and completely comfortable living in the kind of chaos most people would run screaming from.

This definitely isn't a book for everyone. It's gory, dark, and twisted. But if your like horror with a sense of humor and characters who are feral as fuck, you'll have a great time with this one.

✨️ ARC review ✨️

4.5 stars

Well, that was messed-up. And really fun! The three main characters were adorable together and absolute menaces towards their victims, each with an unique personality. Arson was my fave, he's so fun!

If the niche combination of queer joy, throuple dynamics, explicit spice, intense kink, vigilante killings, and very graphic gore speaks to you (and you don't mind the contents listed below) ... I've got a great read for you 🩸✨️

I received an e-ARC of this book. I am leaving a review voluntarily, and it is my honest opinion.

Content notes as stated at the back of the book (slightly spoilery):

So if you’re in the mood for some outrageous queer splatterpunk, this novella will satisfy your bloodlust. The story follows three twinks, Milo, Arson, and Levi who find themselves in a throuple. They also find themselves in the middle of a murder spree when the three of them decide to rid society of the scum of the earth, one horrible person at a time.

This book is under 100 pages and it certainly packs a lot of sex and gore into its short read-time. Since the trio murder absolutely awful people, the killing scenes are so satisfying and brutal. We get intestines used to strangle, wieners in blenders, pretty much the nastiest, gruesome kills you can imagine.

What really holds this story together are the three main characters. Their relationship was . . . wholesome? And them bonding through gruesome murders was kind of cute. I don’t know how Aiden mixes cutesy and depraved so well, but it makes for an engaging read.

I really enjoyed Murder Twinks, it was short, fast-paced, and very engaging. I would love to read a follow up, I would love to see more of the trio of murdering twinks. Go check this out!

This book cracked me tf up. In more ways than one. Also kinda grossed me out too but that's what makes books like this so much fun! I went into this blind, the arc sign up link was sent into a group I'm in and though why not. Ha! Horror erotica is a new one for me, I mean I'm not into fluffy romances (all the time) but wow! If you only ever listen to one thing I say, it's read the trigger warnings first. But great novella, I had to contemplate my life and looked up a few therapists whilst reading because some bits were a little insane. Characters were fantastic and there were some incredibly imaginative areas throughout. What can I say? I really enjoyed it, even the bits I winced at (the blender scenes were.... intense?) *shrugs*

Anywaaay, never gonna look at a blender the same way again... And thank you for trusting me to read and review your book!

*PS the book cover is fire! I'm obsessed!

I love this book and these characters so much. Murder Twinks has the punchiness of a revenge story, the sweetness of a romance, and the thrill of erotica.

I adore this trio of twinks who match each other's freak. Their dynamic is so wholesome and sets up a delightful contrast with their gory vengeance. My lil heart skipped during their tender, vulnerable moments. These boys prioritize building a safe and healthy relationship within and outside of scenes...making the spice sooo much hotter. I'm obsessed with these ride or die babes.

The Murder Twinks earn their name. The kills are creative and nasty. The sensory language and grotesque imagery had me gagging but I couldn't look away. 10/10 well-served justice.

There's also a cameo of a certain lovable little freak you might recognize from another great book by this author...

Thanks so so much to Aiden for the chance to check out a physical arc. I'm leaving this review of my own accord.

3.5/5 ⭐️

I was interested in reading this based on the title. I love Messer’s queer horror stories. And I really liked that this one also had a love story incorporated. There were moments of so much love and tenderness that really juxtaposed the horrific killings well. The kill scenes were satisfying, since they were against bad men. And I did love seeing our dear Seth again.

I did find the character development a tiny bit lacking in some ways, or at the very least, delayed. There were details we only learned towards the end of the story that I felt we should’ve learned earlier on. Also, you mean to tell me there was no investigation going on? And somehow they had cleaned the places so perfectly there was no bodily fluids left behind? I don’t know, I mean if is possible, but it just felt a little rushed. I think the length of the book could’ve been longer to fix these things. But overall, I did enjoy the story.

Murder Twinks by Aiden E. Messer is brutal AF, but also super wholesome. I absolutely loved all of the emotion, trauma, gore, and spice that this book is packed with. I think that Aiden did a really good job with this one. I loved the way that the characters were written. A throuple of sadistic/masochistic, morally grey menaces, who don’t just murder for fun. All of their murders have a reason, all bad people who have done bad things. And it’s a plus that their murdering spree doubles as a bonding exercise! It is a really great story in my opinion. I also really appreciate that the gory parts are actually gory! Like I said it’s brutal AF. And I ate it up.

If you’re a horror fan like me, that thinks “the gorier the better”, and also enjoy erotic horror, then I definitely recommend Murder Twinks by Aiden E. Messer. It is definitely my favorite book of Aiden’s right now!

First of all I'm in love with this cover! It's absolutely perfect just like the story was. How fun to name one of the main characters Arson, and euthanasia as a safe word is pure perfection. This was such a fun, dark and gory tale!

Aiden always mesmerized me with their books, their characters are always so relatable and lovable. I absolutely loved every second of 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 and I cannot wait for everyone to read it. I especially love discovering all the little Easter eggs hidden inside the books. ♡

this is definitely a great story to start with if you’re new to Aiden’s work and splatterpunk in general. i do feel like it was missing more of the gore that’s usually with these stories but it was still enjoyable.
while it is a short book, i do think the jump into the murder portion of the murder twinks was a bit too soon for their relationship. especially with how shy Levi is. i did love seeing that small cameo of our other beloved character tho, not gonna spoil who!
i loved the multiple POV and the range of queerness that is included in this book! i hope to see Levi, Milo, and Arson again soon. they are so cute together and i enjoyed their conversations of learning about each other.

Let me just say if you want to book with spice, murder, chaos, and a whole bunch of great things this is a book for you. Milo, levi, and Arson are three very different people but when they come together they are absolutely spectacular. The way they work so well together to eliminate people that do bad is just chef's kiss. I love everything from the spice, to ending people, and just everything. This is a short fast-paced book that will blow your mind. It's like a hand necklace that grabs you hold you all the way through like you cannot get enough. Wow, I’m in absolute awe. The visceral imagery of the gore and violence was perfectly mixed with some of the hottest spice I’ve read, and the most adorable relationship. The characters were compelling, they all had distinct personalities and it was a joy to watch their relationship bloom. The poly representation was some of the best I’ve seen, as was the kink representation (I love to see safe word usage in media). I won’t say any more as not to spoil it, but I highly suggest ANY splatterpunk reader to try this book, I devoured it and cannot wait to read more from this author.

I need more background to this story. I felt it jumped in too fast. The story all around was pretty good but I felt like there was information that was left out. There's a reason Aiden Messer is an author and I'm not. Levi, Arson, and Milo are fun characters in their own way. I wanted to read more about the characters before I raw dogged them. I felt used because it was so quick and I was left hanging. More more more I want more...

*** ARC Review ***

When Milo and Arson, our gayotic morally-gray duo, decides to add a third , Levi, and become a trio things start to heat up.

Lots of creative gore, steamy sex scenes, and pieces of shit getting what they deserve makes, Murder Twinks a fun, quick read that I wish were a bit longer. (Or at least had a better indicator of how much time elapsed because their relationship seemed to progress weirdly fast, but then again murder is one hell of a bonding experience. )

Murder Twinks by Aiden Messer is a wild mix of violence, spice, and surprising moments of sweetness. The story follows a poly couple searching for their third while navigating a world of dom/sub dynamics and a shared mission to hunt down and eliminate predators. It’s intense, chaotic, and definitely not shy about pushing boundaries. This is absolutely a book where the trigger warnings matter.

⚠️Check TW’s before reading⚠️

🖤 When I saw “intestines as rope” in the torpes, I immediately ran to sign up for the arc! What can I say, I’m a curious and nosey bitch lol so I had to read it. Aiden never disappoints with their books, they’re always great reads but not for the faint of heart. If you want to read this, make sure you check the full list of TW’s before diving in and when you do, Milo, Arson, and Levi will be waiting for you.

🖤 Okay, but like um hello?! Milo 🥵 ugh the way he dominated the both of them was just so fucking hot! Arson, the perfect brat, knew just how far to take the brat behavior to keep it a good time and god was it hot. We love a good brat! Levi, my sweet baby he was so scared to safe word the first time but when he finally did I was so proud of him. Some people go out for coffee for some bonding time, but not these 3, they go on little trips to subtract from the population and have a bit of extracurricular fun at said bonding trips. God, I fucking love these 3! I definitely wasn’t expecting the hot sauce to be used that way, but honestly 👀 (queue the kombucha girl GIF) and yeah, I will ever be able to look at a blender the same again 🙃 (IYKYK).
